The gate attendant did not wish me a good flight by name even though she wishes other passengers a good flight by name. I was disappointed with being singled out like that.
The flight was so short we did not even get a snack, only an offer of a bottle of water; this was simply due to to short length of the flight. Basic economy had my wife and I 16 rows apart each in a middle seat. I was in the very last seat on the plane. Flight attendants were attentive and surprisingly very nice, legroom is non-existent (same as every flight in plain coach).
High cost to prebook seats was twice what Spirit or Frontier would charge
Made us wait over 2 hours on the tarmac before take off inside the airplane.
Very timely, didn't take forever getting off the ground
As a first time traveler, it would have been nice to have a little help with navigating the airport once I arrived.
The staff was extremely rude and disrespectful. They tret me and all passengers as cows. There was no information about connecting flights. Everything was of bad quality and badly organized. If I can I will never fly with Latam again.
Not allowed to board because of lack of a yellow fever vaccination certificate ...huge loss of money ... vacation ruined

1 hour delay, bad food, uncomfortable seats.
In flight entertainment system and food was good. I appreciated that they had a vegetarian option available.
We had booked through SAA but then they codeshared with LATAM. Our e-tickets included an online booking code, but then this is not accepted on the LATAM website where one has to go for early check-in, or to check-in using the machines at the airport. Latam had very few agents at the check-in so there were long lines of people waiting. Then, even though this was our return flight with them, LATAM's system wouldn't recognize the names of our two children. So we spent more than an hour at the check-in desk. By the time they cleared us they had then lost all of our seat reservations, so we had tickets for all over the plane and had to then work with the attendants on board to at least get one child with each parent. There was a 6 hour delay in leaving. LATAM said they had to ensure that their emergency landing options on the route where accessible and apparently there was bad weather in Abijan. SAA though left on the same route just before we were scheduled to leave and presumably arrived on time. I don't know why they were ok to go but LATAM was not. We had to wait two hours before they gave food vouchers. The food was good but could only come from one restaurant. It had limited choices and very long lines after an entire planeload of people descended on it. Apparently also little was done to rebook us on our connecting flights, though the SA agent in J'burg scrambles and got us on the next flight.
The crew people were nice
The recline on my seat was broken. Since there were empty seats I moved to another seat and the recline system was also broken. My son’s screen didn’t work so one of us couldn’t watch TV. Quality on Latam is poorer nowadays.
