Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."

It caused A HUGE INCONVENIENCE for us since we are in Zambia for 6 weeks without our gear to paddle one of the most challenging rivers in the world... the Zambezi. Now we are constantly trying to acquire the proper equipment with very little success. We run a nonprofit called the Montana Kayak Academy which provides free whitewater instruction to youth between 8 &18 yrs old and we will be sure to tell everyone we know to NOT TRAVEL WITH EITHER VIRGIN ATLANTIC OR BRITISH AIRWAYS.... EVER!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Pros: "I was selected for additional screening at the gate. I have no problem with this at all. From the start I told them I am traveling with my fiancee. They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

Pros: "Superior comfort, class, and style. The crew was friendly and accommodating, the pilots kept you up to date with flight info and departure/arrival time (and kept the seat belt light off almost the entire trip), the food was delicious and offered throughout, and the entertainment was top notch. Seats were comfortable (we had bulkhead row Space+ and they were worth every cent for the international long haul from LAX-BNE and SYD-LAX) and everyone got a pillow/blanket. We got premium noise-canceling headsets, water, and a little care kit including an eye mask and earplugs and a pen to fill out your travel documents. The overhead bin space was huge and we got two free checked bags of luggage up to 50lbs each (I don't know of that's standard or not, or if it came with Space+ seats). SERIOUSLY the best airline."

Although the entertainment system had many options, going through lists and playing games required a lot of tapping, and in some cases pushing to make the system work. I felt like I had a woodpecker sitting behind me pushing on my head non-stop for over two hours. I was starting to go insane! Besides, it was so loud near the back of the plane that I couldn't hear anything through my cheap headphones."

Please have an option of food not swimming in sauces or cheeses. Plain organic chicken breast with steamed rice pilaf and steamed carrots would be nice. Maybe some steamed red potatoes and a piece of steak. An organic green apple for dessert. Forget the gluten, dairy, sugar or sauces that ruin a perfectly good ham or chicken and lettuce, tomato wrap! Or a salad swimming in dressing. We need to eat protein, not gluten for breakfast. Why not a hard boiled head!"

My bag was supposed to be directly shipped to PDX. I had to leave my hotel back to the airport and spend 2 hours trying to find it only to be told that it was going to PDX. I lost my $170 hotel room, over $70 for taxis and ended up spending the night on the floor at Schipol. I do not think I'll ever use Kayak again. The travel guarantee is a joke too."

Cons: "The Amsterdam airport was ludicrous. We were making a connection and had to go through four different levels of security. Our 1hr45minute layover was completely taken up just waiting in random lines to have someone look at our passports, or ask us to pull up our full flight itinerary email (teh boarding pass was not enough for her....). I appreciate the security attempts but it was really over the top, and the staff had no idea what they were doing (were bad at directing people to the right place or explaining what they needed). Note that NONE of this was the fault of Delta or KLM, completely teh airport."

Cons: "When I checked in online, I received boarding passes for the first two legs of the trip, but was told to see a gate agent in Amsterdam for the boarding pass for that flight. It turns out that there was a problem, attributed by one of the KLM staff that I talked with to "a communication problem between Delta and KLM." As a result, I was finally given a stand-by boarding pass. Since the flight was full, I was denied boarding. After hours of trying to figure this out, the KLM staff put me on a flight for the next day and organized a stay at an airport hotel. The KLM staff were very nice, but it seemed to take a very long time to figure this out. They also failed to note that the denial of boarding in the records, which caused a problem in my return flight. The upshot: I missed a follow-on flight to Budapest and had to pay a huge rebooking fee for that missed flight. I also missed a day of my vacation."

The KLM employees on board did a very good job of taking care of the situation and making sure everyone else on board still had a calm flight experience."

I had to go to the airport and spend 8 hours in line at the ticket desk to get a new flight the next day, in addition to 2 hours spent on the phone. Had these companies done their jobs properly, I could have rescheduled my flight days earlier on the phone and not wasted an entire day of my vacation. When I asked Justfly.com for any form of compensation they refused. Will NEVER fly on this airline or book travel thru Justfly.com again."

Our flight on Wed July 19th from NYC to Amsterdam went off without a hitch until we claimed our luggage, my brand new suitcase was covered with stains. Very disappointing but we went on to enjoy our time in Amsterdam. The real problems began when we flew from Amsterdam to Dublin, first we were seated all over the plane and worst of all when we arrived my husband's bag was lost. We went to customer service and completed the paper work. Everything my husband had for the trip was in that bag. Aer Lingus only texted him once and after that he had to call every day to check the status of his bag. Instead of exploring Dublin, we had to spend Sunday shopping to get him clothes for the trip. No word from Aer Lingus. Monday morning July 24 he calls to find the status of his bag. It was found in Amsterdam and was to be flown to Dublin and shipped to our next stop in Kinsale. We arrived Monday evening to find that the bag had not been shipped. Again no word from Aer Lingus. My husband called to find out the status and made arrangements to pick the bag up when we were flying back to NYC. We were happy the bag was found but my husband still was without all of his belongings for our entire trip. On Thursday July 27 we arrived at the airport early to retrieve the bag before we checked in to our flight. We were dismayed to find that there was not a person to talk to but a phone on a column to call to get help retrieving the luggage. There was a queue at the phone with people ahead of us in similar situations. Finally someone came out to escort my husband to get his bag. We were traveling with our son, and again our seats were scattered about the plane. There was no one at checkin to help us, and we didn't get help at the gate. So we had to sit separately for the 6 hour and 30 minute flight. When we claimed our bags, my bag now had tears along with the stains. This was a brand new suitcase and it is now ruined. My husband says he will never fly Aer Lingus again and this was the worst customer service he has had in his life. The customer service was virtually non existent."

The flight attendant was kind enough to find some fruit salad for me, out of the crew meals, but she shouldn't have to. in general they don't feel very warm or inviting."

At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

Finally got thrown (literally) a ticket after the plane was completely boarded. Barely made my connecting flight in Dublin. Arrived in sfo and my luggage never arrived. A week later, after countless phone calls, bag descriptions, and headaches, my luggage was located in Dublin. I just received my bag today with everything I needed for Christmas but didn't have. Basically aer Lingus ruined my Christmas 2016 and I still can't figure out who to log a complaint to. Worst airline ever."

We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Cons: "My boyfriend and I were flying from Toronto to Salt Lake City, we didn't pay for assigned seating (because who really wants to dish out extra money for something as silly as that?) and thought that it just meant that we still had seats on the plane and they just might not be next to each other which was fine. We did online check in and having our tickets sent to our phones (his worked fine and mine never came through, yes, we triple checked to make sure my phone number and everything was correct). Both of our tickets ended up saying the seat was GTE so when we got to the terminal (two hours early) the moment an employee was behind the counter we went up to talk to them and they said that we would get a seat on the flight and that it wouldn't be a problem at all for us to sit together. Right before they start boarding an announcement is made that the flight was overbooked (by 8 people!) and they were asking if anyone would be willing to give up their seat and receive compensation (no one would). So, all 8 of us had to go up to the same snarky man who had told us that we WOULD be getting seats and have him explain to us that the next flight isn't until tomorrow and we had to go to the Air Canada customer service desk to get the flight plan figured out. We had to wait 2 hours in line just to talk to someone who tried to make Air Canada out to be the victims (how dare we not want to pay $40 for a seat and because of our frugality poor Air Canada now has to compensate us for the inconvenience AND get us new plane tickets, we should feel so bad for them because they are now losing money). We had to wait for about 40 minutes with this lady because she was either new or not competent enough to figure out how to get us new tickets with Delta (guess why Delta? because Air Canada had already overbooked the flight out for the next day too! Looks like they'll be losing some more money). Oh yeah, she also scolded my boyfriend for having his plane ticket on his phone, because it inconvienenced her. That lady finally left and we finally got help from someone who actually knows what decent customer service is (shout out to Michelle Khan at Air Canada). She was really nice and understanding and was actually able to go through the process of getting us tickets and in a timely manner. She explained that while it is a complete joke, by law flights are allowed to overbook their flights by up to 10% of seats available on the flight. We could understand overbooking by a couple, but really, 8? Never fly with Air Canada."

Cons: "Flight was delayed by almost an hour from Calgary to Toronto (technical - computer issue). On the return flight from Toronto, the flight was also delayed (seat issue)."

Pros: "boarding was quick, organized."
Cons: "my in-seat personal tv was broken. If there hadn't been other empty seats, I would have had to sit with no IFE the whole flight."

Pros: "The crew was friendly and multi-lingual. The food was fine and beverages were frequently offered. I live in Michigan, but flights from Windsor (via Toronto) to Europe are much less expensive, so well worth the drive over the border."
Cons: "This airline only allows for one free checked bag when flying internationally. The checked bag size is stringent (but at least travelers are notified about that several times when booking and paying on line. The movie options are limited, but still enough variety to find something to watch."

Pros: "For the most part all crews were courteous and friendly. Early boarding for a disabled person traveling with our family was problematic on each leg of the trip."
Cons: "Not being informed of the reasons for the delay of almost four hours in the Toronto to Amsterdam leg was a major disappointment. Legroom on both transatlantic legs was a problem as well."

Pros: "Never got on this flight. We were never given an email to self check in, and we're unable to board 45 mins before at the gate coming frim anotthe flight. They overbooked this flight & sold our tickets, and then told us we couldn't get on flight. Now we are out $2500 buying new tix!"
Cons: "All the above. A simple check in email would have averted this problem. All the other airlines do this. We were under the presumption that we had to check in at airport when we didn't get check-in notice. Furthermore, they sold our tickets, so we're down $2500 and they doubled their profit. It would be hard for me to say I will use Air Canada or kayak in the future."

Pros: "I like air canada but they can do better than this . I like crew they are very nice and friendly ."
Cons: "Delay . Used to have outlet to charge phone . Used to have screen to watch videos . Seat doesn't have space for big and tall people ."

Cons: "Up to the last minute didn't advise flight was to be delayed. We board the plane late . Then brought bak to gate because of mecánical problem. Flight reschedule at 7.30 next morning. Had to organize on my own amother flight more acceptable and will leave 2 days late. No support for cab to go back home No voucher issued. The worst service ever. Was traveling with a pet."
