Cons: "I was in the last group being boarded (D) - by the time it gets to this group it seems a kind of controlled pandemonium starts and the staff just do their best to herd people in. I have an Alaska Air credit card and one of the selling points was to board earlier, but that has not been the case, as they reserve this for their higher level customers, whatever that means. Also, on this flight, I was very unimpressed with the crew, there was a younger African American man, who was particularly unfriendly, he clearly needs remedial training in customer service. I was disappointed with my experience this time as I have mostly found the crews to be very professional."

Cons: "I don't normally leave reviews, but words really can't describe the nightmarishness of what should have been a quick four hour flight from San Francisco to Washington. Seats for my wife and I were not where I had reserved. Plane had one working lavatory for a cabin of 150 economy passengers. This resulted in a line that stretched the entirety of the single aisle of the plane for the majority of the flight. The second toilet simply had a piece of paper with sharpie that read "DO NOT USE!!" There were two attendants, one of whom wore a t-shirt and was mostly indistinguishable from the passengers. Didn't get so much as a cup of water until over two hours into the four hour flight. No snack, but that's the least of my complaints really. The attendants spent most of the flight in the back of the plane discussing their new vacation lottery and where they were going to go out drinking when we landed–I know because the rear of the plane was where I ended up, forced to smell the single working toilet, in a seat that didn't recline."

When I contacted Alaskan, they “reimbursed” me for the flight but simultaneously charged me $125 as a change fee. The result was no benefit from the insurance, and a loss of my money as a result."

Then the front desk staff could only help to switch to row 12 and row 13. We’re still not together. That’s horrible. Then when we got on the plane, I asked people around if they don’t mind to switch their seats, but still not working well. The flight attendants didn’t help at all. Just saying, “this is the best we can do.” What did they do? They didn’t even help me to work it out. Then one of the front desk staff came onto the plane and help me out. My son and I finally sit together. But the overall experience sucks! Alaska Airlines needs to train their crew to have more emphatic to the passengers."

Pros: "Usually we fly United on a direct flight to PDX. That flight is no longer available so we chose Alaska to Seattle. Their entertainment and internet actually works making them a better option than United. Flights were on time, crew was friendly, and the aircraft was clean. No complaints with Alaskan, and actually happy to change airlines after years of being with United even though it is not a direct flight to our destination."

Pros: "I don’t know what Delta could have done better on this two leg flight from Albuqueque to Miami via Atlanta . Yes we were in First Class and it was a (groan) 6:05 AM flight which meant that we were probably on time. But Delta’s 737-900 (to Atlanta) was very comfortable, the crew did everything well and the breakfast was quite good. (Make sure you try the quiche). We had the same crew on the next leg to Miam, who were surprised and gave us a warm welcome. There were only snacks in 1st for that short segment, but they were all we wanted."

Cons: "flight was delayed two hours because they couldn't find a single American airlines employee to sign off on some log book.sat on tarmac two hours because no one could sign a piece of paper!!! so obviously we missed our connecting international flight to dublin. called american customer svc, they made us call british airways, british airways said we had to call kayak, kayak said we had to call American. thanks for all the great customer svc. this is why everyone hates flying and all airlines are garbage. then finally in chicago american customer svc desk said they rebooked us on a British airways flight the same night, we traversed (ran) the entire chicago ohare airport only to find out british airways said we were not on that flight, were completely full and we had to go back to american. literally had to leave airport to get on train to go back to american terminal. they swear we are now (the next day) on this aer lingus flight despite our inability since last night to try and check in to that flight because aer lingus website doesnt work, no one answers their customer service number and their ticket counter at airport doesnt open until noon. suffice it to say we are still not on a flight to Dublin, ive missed an entire day of a limited vacation, and i will NEVER fly american again."

I emailed American Airlines last week but hadn’t gotten a response yet so when they announced that we would exit by stairs, I was almost in tears as I gathered my belongings. To my surprise, American Airlines had a ramp for us to use. I don’t know it it was a coincidence or if they responded that quickly knowing I was on the plane through todays’s technology. I will be a fan and a customer forever."

Boarding counter lady was obnoxiously strict about not letting our carry-on bags to be carry-on. She made us test them in the size device and said they were too big, even though they could easy be pushed into the space, and regardless of the fact that we just flew on an American Airlines flight with them as carry-on and were only on a layover with them! Regarding the previous AA agent who let them be carry-on, she said "shame on them." Complete opposite of the positive experience we had with her counterpart in Phoenix. ಠ_ಠ"

Cons: "The ticket counters are a joke. I could not check in the afternoon before my flight or the morning of on my phone, or at the ticket counters in the airport. I don't mind waiting in line but out of the 2.5 hours I waited in line about 30% of that time there was no attendant at the ticket counter, 50% of that time there was only one attendant who spent her time helping first class, and only 20% of the 2.5 hours I waited in line was there still only 2 attendants helping check people in. Because of this, I missed my flight."

Cons: "The American Airlines staff assured us that if we got stuck in DC we would receive hotel vouchers. Not only did we not receive hotel vouchers but we were denied access to our rescheduled flight the next day and forced to rent a car to get us from DC to Massachusetts in time for our event. This "misunderstanding" cost us 2 days of our trip and an additional $500 all together. I have never been more disappointed by an airline in all my years of travel! If we'd been told the truth from the beginning we would of rescheduled the flight for the following day from our original destination and saved ourselves 2 headaches and a ton of money."

We could not select any seats at check in and only found out our seats a few hours before the flight. It was quite unpleasant and stressful as my husband and I were flying with our two children and faced a real possibility of not being able to sit together or getting bumped off a flight all together. It was a code shared flight between Lufthansa and United and each airline kept sending us to the other to get any answers or help. neither were helpful. It made it for an extremely frustrating experience."
Cons: "My parents were traveling, they dont speak english and I verified with Austrian airlines that they would be assisted at the gates and that they had the correct visas for each airport they had a layover in. I was assured there would be no problems. Upon boarding they were not able to get on their flight. I have never had so many communication issues and frustrations in the middle of the night with an airline. disappointed."

Cons: "I selected economy comfort in the kayak app, but when I called about my boarding pass, kayak said they only sell basic economy. What did I buy? UAL only sells a limited selection of overpriced food. There is no music and you have to pay to see the flight map."
Pros: "The boarding and seating happened in a timely fashion, and the crew was courteous. The lunch meal (I had requested Asian vegetarian) wasn't amazing, but not as bad as it could've been."
Cons: "The flight was not with Lufthansa, but it was actually through United, which was extremely confusing as I did my ticket confirmation, seat booking and meal choice through Lufthansa prior to my trip. To find out on the day of the flight that I had to check in and go through United was extremely annoying, as the counters are in different terminals and it was unnecessarily stressful. The flight itself was crammed, with absolutely no leg space, and not even enough space under the seat to stow my backpack (which had fit perfectly on my Brussels Airlines flight to Madrid). I had requested the Asian vegetarian meal, and the snack we got prior to landing was pretty much two slices of cucumber on a small bun (and an apple on the side) - extremely dry and hard to eat. I asked for mayo, but the flight neither had that, nor any other condiments to make the "sandwich" more edible."

Cons: "We were sitting right next to the crew resting area and it was very restricting to us. I had two little kids that I had to keep quiet for about 6 hours out of 8. Even when my kids were quiet, we were reminded twice to keep quiet. It was very restricting and I was forced to walk back and forth with my two year old to keep her quiet so the crew can rest. Why is the crew resting when they are supposed to be working on that flight? The meal quality sucked, I did not finish it, let alone my kids. My kids were prettu much hungry for 8 hrs. Not a very family friendly flight."

Also, our seats were changed without our knowledge and the flight description for the flight from Austin to Washington, DC, specified complimentary lunch and there was no lunch unless you wanted to buy it. This should be more clear, so that I can bring my own lunch if there will be none provided."

Cons: "the plane was very old and didn't have the entertainment options that newer planes have. The screen was so small and nearly impossible to see when the person in front of me reclined. The toilets weren't very clean. The food was very mediocre. I have a dairy intolerance, and both options contained dairy products. There was no lactose free or diabetic special meal option. There was an hour and a half delay to repair something on the plane when we made an emergency medical landing in Boston. I didn't mind the landing; I minded the excessive delay and wonder what would have happened if we didn't stop in Boston? What would have happened to the plan?"

Cons: "No request was made for the outbound flight which I want to comment about. At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."

Pros: "The crew was very attentive and the pilot kept us informed at all times. For example, we got to Dayton early and we sat on the Tarmac for about five minutes as there was another plane there. That was no problem. But, after plane left we sat there until it was time for us to arrive before ground crew came out. Then, we waited 20 minutes for our baggage. That was not your fault. That was the fault of the airport as it has happened to me before. The pilot was very apologetic and kept us informed. I appreciated that very much."
Cons: "I was so excited because there were TV's on each seat, but I could not use because the place where I had to plug in for sound was broken. That was a disappointment."

Pros: "The crew on this flight was absolutely amazing. They were helpful, they were very kind, and very pleasant. Probably the best flight crew I've ever had. Despite originally being annoyed that I wasn't allowed to pick/change my seat, I somehow miraculously got an economy plus seat so I had what felt like a first-class amount of space."
Cons: "Again, the flight was delayed. Despite originally being told that we were trying to get out ahead of storms so we wanted to get going quickly, we ended up boarding and then sitting there for probably an hour and a half. The pilot/copilot were great at letting us know what was going on, but the fact that both the first and second leg of my journey were delayed was excrutiately annoying. Having already been traveling for over 8 hours, the last thing I wanted to do was be even later and extend the flight even longer, obviously. The entertainment also was not available due to some problem in the circuit for the entirety of sitting there waiting to taking off and the first 15 minutes of the trip. Again, the attendants did everything they could and were very attentive, it was just frustrating to not really be sure that entertainment was going to be available for the 9 hour flight you just sat down for. Thereafter the entertainment was great. The food was, again, pretty mediocre compared to other transatlantic flights I've taken. The lasagna was not very good tasting at all. The sandwich they brought near the end of the flight was tasty though. Another plus was full sized cans of juice as opposed to a tiny glass. Honestly once this flight got off the ground it was good. However the combination of the delays, plus my terrible previous flight (which was the one directly operated by Lufthansa, the second flight was farmed out to United) just made the whole journey pretty awful, and probably the worst of my life. On my flight from Munich to Cairo, three weeks ago, Lufthansa left my bag in Munich despite the fact that I had an 8 hour layover - which you'd think would be more than enough to put a bag on a plane. They were very quick about delivering my bag once it arrived, but that previous experience with Lufthansa just served to bring down my opinion of the entire airline. Honesty, I had been told by friends that Lufthansa was a pretty good airline, that didn't show at all. There's a pretty big chance I'll never willingly fly Lufthansa again if there's even a remotely comparable option (which there almost always is)."
Cons: "Flight got cancelled, we did not receive an email or text. We found out when we reached the Heathrow airport. We got booked on another flight, with 6 hour layover. When the flight that got cancelled was a direct flight. Then our luggage was not put on the connecting flight, we got our luggage 24 hours later."
Pros: "My connecting flight was way late, but the plane was held for me and a few others in Denver. Because it was the last flight of the evening I don't know what I would have done if left at the airport indefinitely. I am grateful the plane was held. And regret any inconvenience this may have caused others."

Cons: "The first class crew was not very warm or welcoming. The outgoing flight from IAD set the bar high -- they could've spent less time gossiping and more time remembering my drink order."
Pros: "We were supposed to fly out Sat Jan 23, 2016, but a blizzard had shut down the East coast air ports. We rebooked for Sunday. Air ports still closed. So we talk to the United people at SXM and they cannot issue us a new ticket but say we have to book on line or call the United number. Both options would not work for us. They were able to tell us that United only flies to SXM on the weekends and their would be no extra flight to makeup for all the cancellations. We ended up booking a new flight with American Air Lines for Wed."

Cons: "The seats are very thin and feel like school bus seats, so it was a pretty uncomfortable couple of hours. Also, the check in at the kiosk is confusing and misleading. We were very prepared and did everything ahead of time (paid for our checked bag, knew that we'd have to pay for a cary on bag, etc.) but then when we checked in it asked us if we had a checked bag we needed to pay for. We doubted ourselves for a moment and almost paid for our bag, AGAIN, even though we had already done it. This payment should have shown up on our account and we should not have been asked about paying for our bag, that is confusing and misleading."

It was extremely frustrating being able to see our plane parked at the departing gate and NOT receive appropriate information as to why we could not board for 2-1/2 hours ! Frontier's newer passenger seat design is terrible ! I can't recall having to sit in more uncomfortable seats !"

Cons: "Worst customer service ever - this flight is delayed almost 5 hours and counting due to plane maintenance in another city and the airline couldn't accommodate my request to get on another flight (I was willing to pay more!), not could they refund part of my $600 ticket (they said the connecting flight didn't contribute at all to the total cost of the round trip) so that I could book a flight with another airline. didn't offer a voucher or even comp the bag. I will get home after 3am (with work tomorrow). I explained that I've had food poisoning within the past 24 hours and feel weak, and am stuck at this airport with limited food options."

Cons: "I should say first that I think it's a little crazy to ever be too critical of an airline because, at the end of the day, flight is a miracle and I feel incredibly privileged to be able to afford a plane ticket home once a year. With that said, Frontier is really the only airline that I've ever flown on where you hear entire rows of flyers chatting throughout the flight about how much they hate to have to be using the airline, which is actually kind of ridiculous, considering it's a budget airline that even markets itself as such. I think I've flown Frontier three times now, and there's always just a feeling of plane-wide resentment toward the business and a lot of new flyers saying "yeah, I don't think I'll fly this again if I don't have to." Ultimately, I guess we all are responsible for our choice to try flying Frontier, it's just not a choice anyone feels good about. But kudos should be given to Frontier for making their ticket prices low enough to make people think they're still getting a deal even after paying out the a** in baggage fees. For myself and probably most of Colorado, we'll still always choose Southwest or jetBlue if we can, because even though it's a pricier ticket, you don't have to worry about being comfortable enough to sleep or dishing out money throughout your travels. However, if I ever take a direct 1hr flight up to Bozeman from DIA, and I'm only bringing my wallet, a chap stick, and the shoes on my feet, I'll probably consider looking at Frontier flights first. Also, it is a bummer that customers are rude to the crew. The staff on the airline are actually always high caliber IMO, and they're not the ones who made the business model, so stop giving them a snarky face when they make you swipe a credit card for your coffee!"

If you're giving the broken plane to us because the other passengers have a connection and we don't, say that, don't just act like nothing changed. Also, it's been a while since I rode Frontier and I really disliked the dinky trays and poorly arranged under-seat storage."

Right around boarding time, we were told that the plane had to be pulled out of the hangar and go through maintenance checks, so our flight would be delayed an hour. Later, we were told the flight would be delayed until 9:15am, and we were given a gate change and plane change. We finally pulled away from the gate close to 10am. It's absolutely unbelievable to me that the first flight out of the day would be delayed when there were no weather issues. This demonstrates very poor planning on behalf of the airlines. We were issued a $25 voucher for the inconvenience, but I don't plan to fly with Frontier again. They charge you for everything! (seats?, carry-on bags?, soda?), the seats don't recline and there's no leg room. I'd rather pay an extra $100 to fly United or Delta and have a comfortable flight."

I understand that the crew have very little time to clean a plane between flights, but I've never experienced seats quite as bad as I found in my row upon boarding. Little bits of corn chips everywhere (on the seats, between the seats, on the floor, even in the seat belt buckle) and sticky mess where soda had spilled on the seat. My girlfriend fought her way back to the front of the plane to ask a flight attendant for something to clean up the mess, they took so long bringing anything eventually another passenger offered some napkins which we wetted with our own water and cleaned everything up ourselves. No flight attendant ever checked on us or offered to help clean or even pick up the pile of trash. The seats are not comfortable for me since they don't recline and the headrest is not adjustable (I'm 6'-2", the headrest makes contact with the top of my neck). The little fold-down tray is a joke, it barely holds a couple beverages. Even the back of seat storage is too small, barely holding a normal magazine. Whoever designed the seating area didn't seem to take into account human physiology and ergonomics or human behavior."

Cons: "Seats never reclined (even in rows that they should), tray table was minuscule (all you can fit is a cup/soda), no entertainment on a 4 hour flight; flight was not cheap (>$360) and still had to pay for bags (carryon and check in), food/drinks (anything that wasn't water), seat selection (or you get assigned to a middle seat); on both flights (to and from Denver), the landing made me sick to my stomach with how wobbly it was (I'd never had this before and I fly quite a bit)"
Cons: "Frontier has gone from a wonderful airline to a budget airline that is more interested in making a dollar than in their customer service. Not only do they charge for everything from your carry-on to water on the plane, their customer service is horrendous. I ended up paying an addition $115 each way in order to actually get a seat and bring my luggage. My flight was delayed for 3 hours out of Denver, which they blamed on weather. They made no announcement about why the flight was delayed and the gate agent, Kayla, was one of the rudest individual's I have every dealt with. After repeatedly asking, it was finally revealed that the delay was not directly related to weather, instead it was a "staffing issue." However they continued to call the issue "weather-related" so that they would not be responsible should the flight be cancelled. I used to love Frontier because they had an inexpensive round-trip ticket to Denver and was one of the few airlines that did not charge for ski equipment. Needless to say, I will never fly Frontier again - I would rather make numerous stops than be subjected to Frontier's business model and employees."
Pros: "The crew was amusing and friendly"
Cons: "the plane is so uncomfortable hard seats hard arm rests absolutely no leg room no place under seat to put your personal item I couldn't even "purchase" a beverage because once crammed in my space it was impossible to extract my bag to get money. The fare was low but by the time you pay for every additional charge. not a bargain I can not believe that you expect people to be caged in these tiny paralyzing seats. what are you thinkg?"
