LAN cancelled our flight to Iguazu. They didn't even offer to help us find a new flight and kept shuffling us back and forth between ticket counters. No one would take ownership for the cancelled flight - not even the supervisor, Fernando, who refused to lift a finger to help us. He told us it was not his problem, and there was nothing he could do. So, we ended up paying $300 to fly another airline to get to Iguazu.....The best part....there is NO clear way to get our money back from LAN. Worst excuse for an airline.
I was vary unhappy about our flights being move around and also delayed with no one to communicate these changes in English. We did get a voucher for food but since the flights where delayed with little time in between we did not have time to use it. Also our bags not making it with us ended up being an inconvenience but thankful that you had them shipped to us. This was the worst experience flying ever.

at boarding there was no crew who spoke Spanish: this was a flight to Argentina. many passengers could not understand messages and this was a four hour delayed flight.

The food was good. The flight attendants were friendly and provided good customer service. The flight was pretty smooth (little turbulence).
The flight was delayed over 11 hours for maintenance. They provided car service back to our home but we waited an hour at JFK for the vendor Skyway to arrive. The car had a bad odor and the driver didn't know who he was picking up or where he was taking us. Should seriously consider contracting with a different vendor. The next morning, after we boarded, we waited an hour on the plane before taking off while they searched for a maintenance book. The entertainment system did not work at all nor did the Wi-Fi. Overall American Airlines did a very poor job communicating the delays ahead of time. I won't be flying an international flight with AA again.
There were so many families and babies and children, they should have a seccion for kids also so they can play, and other for people that travel alone. Its a long flight and crying babies and children running and kicking cost me the next two days takig naps every 5 minutes. I never had this problem before i usually sleep all the flight.
