Taking a taxi from the Kathmandu airport to any location in "downtown" Thamel is the most convenient option. In a car, you can reach the heart of the city from the airport in about half an hour. It is possible to pre-book a cab before leaving the terminal, but there are also plenty of taxis waiting outside the airport exit.

  • Are there rental car companies near KTM airport?

  • Are there places to sleep at JFK Airport?

Yes, it is possible to get some shut-eye at JFK Airport; but, because of the abundance of armrests and the surrounding noise, this may not be the most pleasant experience. You may arrange a stay at the TWA hotel if you do not mind paying, or you can utilize the sleep pods that are located at Terminal 5.

  • Where can I park at JFK airport?

The Prime Park JFK parking lot is by far the most popular option for airport parking. This parking structure is located within 1mil of the airport and provides long-term parking choices in addition to shuttle service. Parking there is safe, and customers may take advantage of complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from New York to Nepal?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional round-trip ticket. You could then fly from New York to Nepal with an airline and back with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from New York to Nepal?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying from New York to Nepal up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

Top tips for finding cheap flights to Nepal

  • If you are traveling to Nepal, You can use either Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) or Pokhara Airport (PKR). KTM is now functioning with one domestic and one international terminal in addition to its tabletop runway and is a primary hub for international travel.
  • You should familiarize yourself with LaGuardia (LGA), John F. Kennedy International (JFK), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) before making your travel reservations (EWR). John F. • All three of New York City's main airports, JFK, LGA, and EWR, have nursing rooms easily accessible to passengers. Nursing mothers may make use of the private rooms and specialized desks available at these locations. They were designed so that nursing moms could go somewhere quiet where no one would bother them while they did their important work.
  • Both the New York and Nepal airports include a number of features that make them accessible to people with disabilities. You may be able to seek help with renting a wheelchair or navigating the terminal either when you first arrive at the airport, when you leave the airport, or even after you have already been there. Later on, when there was no more bottled water, the water we received had a strong chlorine/disinfectant odor. On my flight from Hong Kong to Los Angeles, there was a male flight attendant who had a mean attitude throughout the whole trip, and he was very impatient during meal service “Furthermore, we purchased a Hong Kong SIM card as part of our flight package, but we received no instructions—neither by email nor SMS—on how to activate or use it. Consequently, we were unable to use the service at all. We request a full refund, as this appears to be a deceptive charge

Everything and everyone were excellent except for the charge for using WiFi; there was no escape from this fee except to not use it.

The crew and the food were excellent. The plane was kept quite clean.

Crew were not engaging. Only engaged if requested. Food taste was mediocre

My seat had many issues. First the chair was broken where reclining was difficult. My usb plug was also broken so charging was impossible.

The flight from Hong Kong to Hyderabad didn’t have any power points to charge my mobile. Given we are no longer allowed to use power banks, giving customers the ability to charge even on short flights is critical part of the overall experience.

when i ask for help all the crew members had a look like why are you calling me? very terse and rude.

Good service and food. However, we paid over $400 for aisle seats for my disabled husband and me, and we were given window and middle seats. This was dangerous for our health condition on such a long flight. We needed to stand up and walk around frequently, but we were stuck in our seats. Please give us a refund of our seat payment since you chose not to honor our request.

Very bad Instead 22 hour it take me more that 35 hour to arrive from Los Angeles to Phuket and they changed my flight in Hong Kong to Shanghai china and in order to get my bag I was forced to vet china visa entrry

There could have been more options on the entertainment section Nothing was available for non English speaking passengers

Extremely uncomfortable seats with very little cushioning, unable to recline enough to sleep comfortably on this 13 hour overnight flight. My body was in pain by the end.

When we checked in at the Siem Reap Airport in Cambodia, we were only given three boarding passes and told that we would have to check in with American when we arrived in Boston. This was a source of stress for us. After we landed in Boston, we had a long passage from Terminal E to Terminal B (American Airline ticketing counter). Because the electronic ticketing kiosks for check-in would not recognize our Confirmation Code, we had to wait for an hour in a long line where only two AA reps were taking care of Special Services passengers. In many years of both business and recreational travel, I have never had this experience. I would expect more from AA being in partnership with other airlines to do a better job with this.

Our experience on the Doha to Hyderabad segment was extremely stressful due to prolonged delays and a lack of clear communication from the airline. We were traveling as a family, including children, and the uncertainty around timing and next steps caused significant distress. There was very little proactive information provided during the delay, and we were not given clear written explanations about what was happening or how long it might take. This made it difficult to manage the situation, especially while caring for children in a transit environment. In addition, one member of our party was ultimately unable to continue travel, which added to the emotional strain and disruption of the trip. Overall, the experience highlighted gaps in communication, customer care, and handling of unexpected situations. We are sharing this feedback so that future passengers, especially families, are supported with clearer communication and better assistance during irregular operations.

The seat cushions are absolutely lacking, not sure if they know the passengers are traveling for 14 hours straight, but the padding made our back and butt ache like crazy. The entertainment console had its own problems, either the headphone jack wasn't working or the power outlet via usb or ac outlet was not working. Not to mention the seat handles were not adjustable in some planes in the middle or on the aisle. Qatar/Indigo may be operating a very old fleet of planes to make as much profit as possible, but passengers may not be following them for long, should this treatment of its customers continue. Qatar/Indigo, wake up and do it right by your customers, or they may not be your customers anymore.

It would help id flight crew were not rude and showed some courtesy. They were shouting at passengers and yelling instructions as if we were school children at lunch cafeteria!!

All good. Over four hours flight if provided snacks like Qatar Airways would be better

Lobster starter in business class was not good, tough, served cold, and without butter. Movie selection was missing latest releases, did not offer older classic, high quality movies

Food was absolutely pathetic. I wasted so much food which I thought was inedible. I also loathe the inflight entertainment system which has very little content

My entire row did not have power for the full duration of a 14.5 hour flight. Could not charge any devices such as laptop or phones for the entirety of the long flight. The flight attendants tried to remedy the issue by resetting the power, but were not successful. The only other solution provided was to move me to another seat on the plane which was in the middle row. I had paid for a “preferred” seat that was a window seat. This was a downgrade being offered due to the power issue.

Nothing to complain. The staff and flight was good especially the seats which was better compared than the cloth ones on Qatar airways

For that price on Business class, I expected to have the pod seats. These were configured as 2/3/2 and my seat mate talked half the flight with a friend across the isle, loudly. Very uncouth.

The ground crew members at check in counter were courteous. The boarding was seamless. Flight departed as scheduled. Service on board was great

Very comfortable in business class. Excellent service. Good food. Smooth trip.

The seats seems abit small and the reclining is too much, the seat in front of me came back too much and made it uncomfortable for me.

As a first time flyer with Turkish Airlines. My experience was very good due to the factor that there were to many passengers on the my first flight compared to my connecting flight. However, I know that nothing is perfect and all companies are trying to accommodate their passengers to the best way possible. I will always say, a FEW INCHES will go LONG WAY. That's something all airliners should consider, and not only the money aspect!!! A long time commitment is better than one time service! Thank you

Flight was delayed. While standing at the gate, a note appeared on the sign saying the gate had changed to a gate far away. No member of the Turkish airlines team got on the microphone to instruct passengers to go to the other gate, to ignore the chiron, etc. Finally, the message disappeared. Eventually, the flight began to board. Very slowly. More slowly than I experience with other airlines. Though Istanbul may just be slow . . . In all other ways, great flight, great entertainment (top notch movies), great service, excellent food, comfortable lie-flat seat, dimmed lights, etc.

Staff at the airport wasn't helpful or friendly. Probably the worst airport experience I have ever had, going and coming. The staff on the plane was better. Still not super friendly or personable. However, they were not rude like airport staff. They ran out of certain menu items. Maybe could have been prepared better? Overall just ok.

It was a pleasant experience. In flight entertainment could have been better

The desk crew at the LAX crew could do better. A girl named Mahesi was very abrasive and unfriendly. She needs a better customer service uproar.

It was peaceful excited We enjoyed it always Turkish peaceful excited

I do not have any issue after travelling but not able to return back to Newyork because my flight is cancelled. Requested to refund my full amount.

Are you KIDDING RIGHT NOW?!?! SENDING OUT SURVEYS FOR CANCELED FLIGHTS IN A CONFLICT ZONE?!?! ARE YOU FEELING OK??????

Are you KIDDING RIGHT NOW?!? SENDING OUT SURVEYS FOR CANCELED FLIGHTS IN A CONFLICT ZONE?!? ARE YOU FEELING OK???

Food is terrible, service is not good. Staff were not personable and rushed food service.

The onboarding was extremely confusing. Had to climb the stairs to plan from tarmac with carryon bags in hand. No apologies for inconvenience. Overall not quite pleasant experience.

Boarding /lounge :Chaotic boarding , business /first class had a dedicated line but it was upto to the passenger to figure out and use those lines .Oasis lounge is clean but tiny so it felt over crowded . Neither the food nor amenities felt business/first class . Cabin and tech : 2-2-2 configuration needs to go . Leg space is cramped , headsets didn’t work . WIFI does exist or didn’t work on the entire 20 hour journey . Food and crew : Preordered “Hindu Non vegetarian” meal , crew was clueless , they didn’t even bother to ask if they weren’t sure what that meant . Served mediocre vegetarian food though menu had chicken /lamb options . In short , worst business class experience of all the airlines I flew to date . Not sure if there is one area they compete in let alone excel … avoid if you can .

Food was not available in the middle of the trip that is 13 hours

Everything was good and no points to complain. Food is always a tricky concept. Sometimes you like it and sometimes you don’t. Food was redundant from Kuwait City to NY-JFK.

Beautiful Flight took off on time and everything was good

Next time im going to use Kuwait air lines, hopefully

Flight was cancelled by air India. There was no explanation provided why the flight was cancelled. Found out that the flight was cancelled because the Iran air space was closed. Meanwhile, all other flights passing through that region were operating without issues. When asked to refund money for the tickets, being told that “ As checked, we wish to share that Flight AI 116 on 15 January 2026 from New York to Mumbai was cancelled due to Iran airspace closure, which were beyond the airline’s control. While such events can disrupt travel plans, we appreciate your understanding and patience. Our team remains committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers and takes all necessary measures to minimize any issues. However, we must inform you that compensation is not applicable under these extraordinary circumstances, in accordance with the relevant regulations.” Completed unacceptable and unprofessional behavior!

Needs lots of improvement starting from crew/staff attitude, cleanliness, better quality food & in flight amenities.

Food was below par Quality and None of the Entertainment systems were Working ..and we were unable to turn it off.. Due to the glare we couldn't even sleep for the entire duration of the flight ..

Horrible flight. No entertainment or WiFi for a 14-hour flight. No explanations either. I’ll never fly Air India again.

Several seats in business class were broken. Some would not recline, others had other problems. They need to really update the seats and AV.

Never can get flight and nof light for three days .finally travel by bus. Very bad experience.

Food not of any international or even Indian standard. We have many cuisine available but only paneer & sundry items. Improve & provide some good indian items. Entertainment website or channel out of order.

First and the foremost I was shocked to see airindia standards have come down so low . The food was horrible . They served us 3 meals for vegetarian and all the was paneer . The orange juice was not at all cold it was smelly . After you take this heavy price air India should learn from other air lines . I at one point felt like throwing up . After all this when we landed we were not given landing slip . We had to wait for 45 min at the immigration just because no one was given landing slip . To top it all we were 3 passengers and had checked in 4 check in luggage . Out of which 3 have not yet arrived . Basically status says the loaded it in our flight ( this was a direct fight ) and it never reached . We are still waiting . There is nothing great to tell about our flight . The he only good thing was the crew were very helpful .

Lay out shows 1st row and second row given after taking payment. It's a fraud

The seats were extremely uncomfortable. Air India seats used to be very comfortable . with sufficient legroom. In this aircraft there was no legroom. It is a shame that for your profit margins you are trying to pack people like cattle on these long haul flights. The food was terrible. The bread was hard like a rock. Mr CEO of Air India, why don’t you take a flight in economy from India to USA and experience the hardships first hand. It is utter disgrace
