FAQs for booking New York to Seoul Gimpo Intl flights

  • How many international airports does Seoul, South Korea have?

Seoul is served by two different international airports, Gimpo International Airport (GMP) and Incheon International Airport (ICN). Both have modern amenities and are easy to navigate, however, Incheon sees much more traffic and is the main option for most travelers.

  • What is the smartest way to get from Incheon International Airport (ICN) to Seoul’s city center?

After a long flight, many people use the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. It takes roughly 1.5 hours from Incheon International Airport to reach the heart of Seoul. There are also two train options and the usual local bus and taxi services available.

  • Are there on-site hotels in Seoul’s Incheon Airport?

Yes. If you need some quality shuteye after a long flight, there are several hotels to choose from. The Incheon Airport Transit Hotel is located right inside Incheon International Airport's Departure Lounge. Enjoy a bite to eat, get some work done, and relax in a hot shower before moving on with your trip.

  • For a long international flight, which NYC airport is the best to fly out of?

  • Can I park my car at John F. Kennedy International Airport?

If you want to park your car at JFK till you jet back, you’ll be able to do so since the airport features a Long-Term Parking Lot near Lefferts Boulevard AirTrain JFK Station. To confirm your price and space, it’s in your best interest to reserve your spot as early as you can.

Terminal 1 has 11 locations, while Terminal 2 has eight.

  • What are some of the special attractions worth checking out at Incheon International Airport?

At ICN, you can check out the media, sculptures, and light show exhibitions dotted across the airport. If you’re a fan of nature, you can visit one of the seven gardens inside the terminal, namely Pine Tree Garden, Flowering Tree Garden, Flower Garden, Cactus Garden, Four Gracious Plants Garden, Water Garden, or the outdoor garden called the Wildflower Garden. Alternatively, you can get your hands on some cutting-edge electronics at the IT Experience Center in the Duty-Free Area near Gate 14.

  • Where can I have a good time at LaGuardia Airport?

Before boarding your flight to Seoul at LaGuardia Airport (LGA), you can treat yourself to quality spa massages and body treatments at Be Relax Spa. You can rest assured of receiving quality services at this spa in Terminal B, near the food court, given that it boasts experienced professionals.

  • Where can I convert my cash at Incheon International Airport?

This was serviced by American Airlines. Not as great as Japan Airlines. The LAX domestic airport is not a great airport. We needed to take a shuttle to go to the gate. Mind you, this is just a connection, but we had to go to security again, which is a hassle after a very long flight from Japan. It makes sense, for our checked baggage to be picked up and moved to the other carousel for our final destination, but for us doing the security all over again, pointless. We had our boarding passes already when we were still in Japan, yet we had to start from zero again when we arrived LAX. There should at least be a different line for connecting passengers without going out like it’s our final destination. Next time, I will try to book our flights from any foreign countries non stop to my destination.

Very comfortab flight. The flight crew and service was terrific. The food was average at best.

My plans changed and I tried to cancel or change the flight for credit but was giving the run around and denied . Not great

I wouldn’t know, I tried to contact you days before to reschedule my flight back to Okinawa but you left me on hold for 2 hours. I tried calling multiple times and not once did you pick up. I had to spend 2000 dollars on a one way ticket back to Okinawa because I couldn’t get ahold of you guys to change my flight.

I fell asleep, and the crew kindly left some snacks for me

I was so hungry , from Boston to Tokyo, only 2 big food .

The crew was nice, the food could be better, and at least 2 bathroom stalls were out of service.

Good experience for economy transpacific. Reasonable comfortable seats. Food was not as good as I expected or had on other prior transpacific flights but likely attribute that to rising cost of supplies. Staff is courteous. Overall, very good.

great experience - staff were kind and attentive and food was excellent. very comfortable flight that felt much shorter than 14 hours.

The original email I received and flight that I paid for was for Japan Airlines. Since JAL is a partner with American, I ended up on an American Airlines plane. This would not be a problem, except that JAL allows 2 check in bags for free and American only allows 1. A $100.00 unexpected expense was very disturbing, especially since I will have to pay it again on my way home. I feel like it was a bait and switch. I never would have chosen American Airlines if I had known that I would have to pay $200.00 in baggage fees, above and beyond my airfare. Secondly, the check in counter representative did not realize that I had TSA pre-check, so I had to return to the check-in desk on a different floor to get a new boarding pass. The AA representative helping at the check-in kiosks was very helpful, kind, polite, and professional when I returned for the new boarding pass. Thirdly, the crew was not as friendly as I have experienced on other airlines. Their tone when speaking to other passengers was not always polite. The food was better than I expected. However, I am used to having a station where one can serve themselves water, juice or grab a snack. That was not the case on this flight. Truly makes me think twice about booking with American Airlines. I am very disappointed.
