The bus eventually came, offloaded half the passengers and then returned 20 minutes later to start to offload the rest. It's the longest time I've ever spend disembarking from a plane and clearing an airport - very poor whoever was responsible (I'm assuming Sydney airport was at fault)."

We were advised they changed us to a bulkhead row w/an unoccupied seat adjacent to his. Twice during the flight one of the flight attendants came to tell him that she would help him off the plane so to wait for her after the rest of the passengers disembarked. The meal was very tasty.Chicken karaage was not crispy but I wouldn't expect it to be. The rest of the items were well seasoned with the right consistency. Dessert was a flan custard with passion fruit sauce (very Hawaii!), even including a few seeds from the fruit as garnish."

Not everyone is comfortable flying, especially if they have not flown much. Airport personnel should take that into better consideration . Instead of flying next time, I probably should take the train!"

Tone of people were checking in at the gate and thus didn't pay extra for economy plus. There were loud and inappropriate passengers and the flight crew didn't do anything about them. I will avoid United at all costs the next time I travel...truly."

I was just standing there waiting when a young girl walked by me in a uniform and said rudely and almost annoyed, "do you have a question". I replied that I was waiting on my bag. She then said these are it and I said so my bag has been lost? Without any empathy AT ALL she again, rudely and now most definitely annoyed said Do you have your bag tag? I said yes and she proceeded to walk away to a corner office. I assumed I was to follow. She took my tag, no communication at all from her, I said what are you doing and she replied I have to file a claim. She then proceeded to tell me that Newark Airport was horrible and never travel through there if I know what's good for me. This was extremely unprofessional. I was simply wanting some guidance from her on what to expect etc. I had to ask her what my next steps were. She handed me a flyer and said if I had any questions to call baggage information listed on the pamphlet. I left. The next day at about 1 p.m. I called the number and the update said my bag had left the airport and was out for delivery. Keep in mind that I had to work the next day after the airline losing my bag and had to purchase shower items etc due to them being in my lost bag. Portland jetport and my home address is less than 40 minutes apart, yet my bag did not arrive at my home until 8:30 p.m. and I'm also not confident it would have ever arrived because I called around 7 p.m. and spoke with someone who called the delivery service to ask their ETA. I paid $25 to check my bag and yet it was lost. What did I pay for?! If I can help it, I will NEVER fly United again and I'll be certain to tell everyone I know about my experience with this airline."

It was close and stuffy, very little space to stretch or move about when that was allowed. I'm not tall, but in terms of body mass I'm thicker and wider than many folks, but not obese, and my body thermostat tends to run on the warm side. So the flight was a bit of a physical and mental ordeal for me. The entertainment might have been great had my headphone port been operational. A previous passenger broke off the plug in the hole and the flight staff didn't have a pair of pliers on board to pull it out. Consequently, I was unable to listen to the media in-flight. Also, I couldn't recline my seat because the fussy older woman who sat behind me complained when I did, which made it difficult to snooze."

Only the passport needs to be valid for three months after returning from the trip. Not the visa. He should know that. I got my boarding pass at the end, and he didn't apologize for the inconvenience or anything."

Charging $16 for internet is gouging to the extreme. Truthfully, I would choose to pay a little more for my ticket if I knew that United did not cram people in like sardines, provided good quality free internet, provided free video content (on consoles that worked), and provided a small snack (better than a little wafer)."

I do not recommend using Air China from NY JFK or the flightnework.com service connected to Kayak."

Cons: "I was already on the airport and about to check in early, so they didn't let me check in because I forgot to put my middle name on reservation. I tried to call kayak and nobody is answering, I also called priceline and they couldn't do anything. They said I have to cancel everything then rebook a new one. So I ended up paying $1300!!! for a new flight and in addition to that I have a penalty of $200!!! For my original flight cost of only $600. And my companion who has the same flight as me didn't take her flight because the agent in Air china said that we could rebook her flight without charge and for the same price. So we ended up paying $1300 for her as well plus again the $200 penalty. So we lost $3000 for just the 2 of us!! I will never fly air china again! Worst day ever!"

Cons: "Please see above...All 4 of Air China flights to and from JFK to Beijing & Beijing to Bangkok were delayed... one of them over an hour another over two hours another one over three and a half hours and another one over an hour and a half. Missed even their own connecting flights! The seats were cramped and tight the food was horrible, really quite disgusting. They walkthrough very quickly with a water bottle and cups when I really feel they should mandatory pour you water on such long flights if you are not sleeping. If you do not get their attention they just pass you. They also should conserve and or do recycling they go through a lot of waste of cups, utensils xcetera. The movies they offered were mainly Chinese. The headphones work huge and not adjustable, they kept falling off. Also when I needed to change my flight due to an emergency I was on hold multiple times with several disconnections for a total of over six and a half hours over a two-day time span. Finally got through when I called the insurance company could barely understand there customer service person. They ended up calling me back left a voicemail saying that I was all set for me to call back I went through the whole process again of being on hold for three hours and then get disconnected. When I went to check in and get my boarding pass in Bangkok to fly back they said I didn't have a ticket they pulled me out of line and waited for about a half an hour and they finally printed me a ticket. I also have the experience as to when I was sleeping as most of the plane was sleeping approx 95% there were a whole bunch of Asian people standing up gathered around the restroom talking very very very loudly! I finally called for the attendant and reminded her that I paid for my ticket too and I would like to be able to rest and if she could ask them to sit/quiet down, she did but it only lasted so long... I could hear it completely through the headphones with the music. So if you decide to fly Air China I would definitely make sure that your connecting flights are far apart, pay for business or first class, preorder your meal/ bring your own food, bring your own headphones and do not plan on changing your flight- so don't get hurt on your vacation/travel. Btw.. they don't even serve breakfast or offer coffee... it's all Chinese food either chicken beef or pork with rice or noodle. GOOD LUCK!"

Cons: "Food could be better in terms of content/ ingredients. Entertainment choices for non-Chinese oriented movipes/songs were too few."

Cons: "Flight landed late, middle of airport when it's raining, and we had to take the steps down and squeeze into a tiny bus...which also only fit half the flight, so a lot of people got stuck waiting in the rain for a bus after they got off."

Pros: "The leg room and entertainment with the ability to change your devices. They were on time."
Cons: "The air hostess dont know how to speak to passangers professionally at all and they are not knowledgeable in aircraft device recommendations. What they were hitting passangers with are old and out dated. Phones do not interfair with the plane system as that to has computers in them. Just google it and you too will see it's nothing to get worked up over. English skills were poor, transferring in Beijing was horrible, there security is still old school with no common sense at all, a woman acted like she just got out of a dilemma with me and my wife. There directions is there but no assistance you will have to figure it out on your own."
