All travelers must complete an Electronic Health Authorization System (EHAS) Form 72 hours before travel. Children must have the online health form filled out by their parents.
All travelers arriving from a country that is categorized as high or moderate risk must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test obtained from a naso-pharyngeal swab issued within 120 hours before departure of the last direct flight to St. Maarten. Other tests such as antibody tests and tests performed outside of the 120 hours period will not be accepted. Children under the age of 10 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test result.
Travelers residing in and traveling from a low-risk country are exempted from the mandatory rt-PCR or antigen test.
On January 11, Sint Maarten will be implementing a mandatory COVID-19 insurance for all travelers visiting Sint Maarten with the exception of residents, transit passengers, flight crews and French nationals. For travelers originating from a high-risk country, 14 consecutive days of self-monitoring of body temperature and possible flu like symptoms is mandatory. During boarding process they were allowing people to get up and move around before takeoff, delaying over another 10min. When we finally arrived at 9:10 to the gate, another plane was at the gate and we did not get into the gate until 9:25. Thus, by the time the flight arrived I needed to get other transportation, cost me $25 and additional 30min. waiting for ride. This resulted in getting me home almost 2 hours late. Additional feedback: I book an aisle seat because I like being able to lift the arm on the outside, not available on this flight. I don't recall the plug for the headphones being down so far in the arm rest, thus struggled to find the plug."

Usually when I fly AA, the headrest is adjustable. My final dislike was that the beverage selection was limited. I'm quite sure there was plenty of alcohol, but what about those customers who do not drink alcoholic beverages? I asked for hot chocolate, there was none. I asked for hot tea with honey, there wasn't any. So all in all my flight was okay, but that is solely because of the flight attendant and pilot. They did their jobs and they did an excellent job."

I didn't like that my flight time was changed more than 15 times with no reason why until boarding time. I didn't like the fact that I did not get a seat assignment until boarding the plane. I didn't like the fact that they couldn't manage to scramble another plane and crew, but instead forced us to wait over four hours for one that was stuck somewhere else in the country."

I brought it to the flight attendants attention however she wasn't able to reset it. A 7-hour flight from NY to Zurich travelling with small children without the movies was not as pleasant as it could have been."

We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

It is nice that you can play movies for free over WiFi on your phone or tablet (since the in-seat system simply didn't work...), but, bizarrely, the WiFi movie selection was different from (and substantially smaller than) the seat movie selection. What's that about? And the WiFi movie scheme is way more painful than it needs to be, requiring you "check out" movies using your web browser, then switch to a separate app to actually watch the movies. Clearly the product of a company mindset whose ONLY concern is "can we check some box", with absolutely no interest in "how can we delight our customers?""
Cons: "So we get the same entertainment system all these flights use: some ghastly totally non-optimized Linux setup that was rebooted three times during the flight, took 20 minutes for each reboot, and never worked correctly after any of the reboots. (The only movie my system would ever play was the very first one, and none of the on-screen controls worked. The seat next door could choose multiple movies, but each movie froze after 40 minutes). The amazing thing is: why don't they just install a damn iPad mini or Android equivalent in the back of each seat? Would be lighter than what they have today and would work FAR better. You'd need some co-ordinating/provisioning software to provide for OTA announcements and movie updates, but basically it's not that hard... At the very least, hire a Linux-head to optimize your startup scripts! It's just sad to see this 20 minute startup process (all dumped on the screen) with its constant repetition of time-wasting startup steps that just generate errors on this plane's particular hardware setup..."

Pros: "This was a nice experience for a fairly typical airline. Meaning, not Emirates, Qantas, or the others that are supposed to be top-notch. To be fair, I haven't flown them, I'm just thinking of things I've heard and read. The seat was fine and typical as far as leg room and reclining goes. The food was what you'd expect on an airline (it was fine, but I don't despise airline food). The crew though, was wonderful. Really. Friendly, welcoming...I bothered one attendant a couple times for more water as I was very thirsty, and then asked for a beer after the beverage service was over. Often flight attendants will act as if you're demanding a foot massage or something, but this particular guy was very nice. All of the crew that I interacted with was just lovely."

Cons: "It may be La Guardia Airport that is the one to blame and not AA, but long story short I was on the airplane on the ground in NY for about 5 hours. We had a domino effect of things happen that caused us to be delayed and then cancelled. First a Gate change to a different terminal after boarding was suppose to begin so we had to take a shuttle over and we're still missing 50 passengers, Engine problem that required maintenance, refuel because we were in the plane on the ground waiting for so long, deplane and replane for 10 mins because of a law, on the runway and back to the gate for all these different occasions. When they finally let us off the plane after all these hours it was because of weather (although the skies were blue and the pilot was confident it wouldn't be an issue) they didn't actually cancel the flight until 5pm, my flight was suppose to take off at 9am. They were also required by law to give us free snacks Bc we hadn't eaten all day or had fresh air--these were all chips and soda...in gluten free so I had to starve. AA customer relations said they couldn't compensate because the issue that was documented in their records for my flight cancellation was because of "weather"... my flight couldn't be rescheduled until the following afternoon, making me have to cancel work 2 days in a row and pay for multiple taxis and and extra night of boarding. I will NEVER fly AA or La Guardia again."

I had a flight delay that forced me to reschedule to a flight the following morning and caused me to pay for an overnight at a hotel; none of the staff seemed to care whatsoever about their customers' travel plans or experience, giving us little to no information up to the point of canceling our flight, and doing even less to accommodate when plans were foiled. I honestly am waiting for a refund at this point. Terrible trip with American Airlines."

Then they finally tell us that the reason the fligt hasnt boarded was because the flight attendant misplaced her luggage in the previous flight and was waiting to arrive to the terminal. Now how is that my issue? American Airlines needs to do better!"

The fellow sitting in front of me was in the bulkhead seat, yet reclined his chair all the way leaving me very little space. I really wish flight attendants would ask travelers to be considerate and not recline their seats during there welcome speech. Or even ask if the person being squished is ok. There were no snacks offered. Drinks were not offered till at least an hour into flight. My first flight was canceled. Kayak let me know, American never notified me!"

Seemed like private conversation they could try and have."

I was connecting from Germany with Lufthansa and wow what a difference in customer service."

There was non English speaking customers who received no help boarding plane finding seats because crew was laughing joking with other passenger. They tried to put a non English speaking passenger in exit row. I paid $25 to check a bag to find passengers getting free bag checking at gate."

He just took the ticket and gave me the last sit available on the plain even though I arrived almost 3 hours before the original departing hour .. I don't know .. It might be the only available sit or it was just a racist thing .. Who knows .. Really disappointed with United. I'll go back with Ameican Airlines."
