Cons: "Spaces for seats in the economy class are shrinking. With Swiss Air, seems more so as the seats recline quite a bit which is of course good for an 8-9 hours flight. However if the passenger in front of you reclines their seats, you absolutely are forced to recline yours immediately, otherwise no one will fit. Flight attendants have to ask passengers to put the seats back from reclining during meal service so people can open the food tray and are able to access it, that is how much the seats tilt."

Cons: "Checking in is very inefficient at JFK. There was only one (super slow) teller checking all of economy, while three people checked in business class. There were no automated check-in kiosks. you can imagine the chaos. Unfriendly tellers too. On the way back I was selected for a strip search when I checked in at the gate. So was my husband, but he wasn't told of this until he Was boarding and his ticket beeped on scanning. There was no room for our carry on, because we boarded so late. Annoying."

Cons: "1stly the lady at the check in was not nice [ i should have gotten her name -] she was rude and quite 'authoritarian' which is uncalled for- when you have paid an expensive ticket are just trying to check in. then I checked an extra bag - and could not pay where i checked in. i had to go to another counter to pay - there was a line and it took a good few extra minutes - and i still had to get thru security. if you can pay at the check in counter this would avoid this extra step. i was really not happy about it swiss air needs better efficiency and better customer service"

Cons: "1) Assigned seat but was allowed to change seat 24 hours before online check in but at baggage drop off at airport, I was shocked that Swiss Air did not abide to our selected seats changed and gave us the initial seat assigned. 2) At airport check in, none of the ground crew able to gave us good explanation or assistance. 3) Enterainment has to reboot twice. Audio selection cannot be play. No USB port for charging phone."

Cons: "My entertainment system would not turn off, which made it difficult for me to fall asleep. I asked a flight attendant for help and she said she would reset it. However, the reset did not work and she never came back to verify whether or not it had solved the situation. I finally gave up and put a blanket over the screen. Furthermore, the meal service was very slow. It seemed as if most of the staff was very young and likely inexperienced. Perhaps it would be better to mix younger, less experienced staff with more seasoned staff. I flew three other Swiss flights during my European vacation and the service was much faster. Incidentally, most of the staff on these other flights were older and probably more experienced."

Cons: "There is little that can be done to make a long haul flight comfortable when a baby is screaming and crying for it's entire duration. Its behaviour cannot be helped. But it certainly didn't make the flight comfortable, nor did the young child kicking incessantly at the back of my and my daughter's seats. This could have occurred on any flight, but it didn't contribute to having a positive experience on this one. The flight attendant serving breakfast completely ignored that fact that I was awake and strolled past without asking if I would like anything as meals were being served. I informed another flight attendant that we hadn't been offered breakfast and she was able to provide us with meals. Besides this the cabin crew were courteous and pleasant. I've flown with Swiss on other occasions and have had better experiences. I'd like to think this was just a one off and not representative of the level of service that Swiss normally provides."

Cons: "I paid extra for Economy Delight seats for me and my wife. Shortly after take-off, our calm and comfortable more or less empty section of the aircraft was colonised by an extended family of Orthodox Jews in a kind of airborne West Bank situation. They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet."

We missed our connection and had to wait 3 more hours for the next flight - We were somewhat lucky as multiple flights were delayed/cancelled that day - I will avoid using Virgin Atlantic in the future as they need Delta and British operate their flights and this makes it prone to issues like that"

What I don't understand is why we were not able to get boarding passes and seat assignments when we did our check-in in Sydney? Why is that so hard? Also, when we were getting our boarding pass in LAX it was so confusing when it asked for checked bags. Our bags were already on a belt going to who knows where - were we supposed to check "yes"? If we had a boarding pass this would not have been an issue."

I did ask, but got answers like 'we'll try to transfer them' or 'your bags are in the system', which were not too informative, but maybe as complete as those workers could ascertain, I don't know. I would've liked to be able to check in on line in advance for this and other flights on this trip, if you ever decide to open up that facility (without a charge), it would be appreciated."

Cons: "I was not notified, until I was already at JFK, about a 3hr50min delay in departure from JFK due to mechanical that happened in Istanbul many many hours before. Then the connecting flight at 11:15am IST/TLV was fully booked and I was booked only at 13:30 IST/TLV and therefore arrived more than 7 hours after my original schedule - due to a mechanical. According to IATA and international rules I am now due a full refund on my flight cost and will start proceedings against Turkish Airlines for this money. It was a nightmare for all the hours waiting. We also had to deplane in IST from the JFK flight on steps rather than into a gate!! Same with the TLV/IST flight. Terrible."

Cons: "Flight from NY to Thessaloniki had a medical emergency. Plane was diverted to Manchester Airport in England to help patient on flight. This caused over 3.5 hour late arrival into Istanbul. This caused me to miss onnnection flight. There was very poor information or guidance by staff once we arrived into airport. I had to walk long long distances from the gate without assistance. I had requested wheelchair assistance considering I just had spinal cord surgery and In need of assistance. I was forced to stay over night in Istanbul and waited over 12 hours next day in airport for next available flight to Thessaloniki. I missed my brothers wedding night and could not be his best man for wedding from ordeal which was not fair! I also payed a premium price close to 1000k USA dollars for flight I could of booked many tickets with such a long layover and extra expenses buying a visa and food for half the fare I payed. This was not fair especially when a plane is diverted for medical emergency! To top it all off being a medical doctor I loaned and assisted staff with passenger and offered my consultation. services to emergency medical physician whom was called by crew for help and finally which reccomended to divert flight to Manchester to assist the passenger In crisis! Exaggerations occur sometimes when people are inconvenienced so I checked my call logs and social media accounts and found I completed multiple phone calls and status updates from New York over and hour after Turkish airlines tells me I left. One of us is lying and at this point I'm inclined to agree with facebook that I was still in JFK airport an hour after my flight was scheduled to leave when I updated my status to gripe about the delays."

The supervisor assured us that we have nothing to worry about, as the second plane would wait as we are many passengers.however when we landed in turkey the connection flight had already left without us. When trying to speak to turkish airline representatives about getting a new flight, they were super UNhelpful, we waited in very long lines and were required so go to a few different parts of the airport to get a new ticket, a process that was not friendly at all and very frustrating. After about 2 hours of waiting on lines, i got a flight that required me to wait 7 hours in the airport and measley voucher for a very small fast food meal. When i asked to be admitted to the lounge (as i waited 7 hours in the airport due to the airlines mistake), they did not agree to grant me access. When i asked to at least get the wifi code from the lounge so i can tell my familly that i am stuck on turkey, this was also rejected. While waiting in the airport, i spoke to many other people on other flights who had been stuck in the airport under very simillar circumstances, some even worse than mine. I also have many friends who have experiences simillar experiences with turkish airlines. If you are looking for a reliable flight, that will get you to your destination on time and will help you out when a problem occurs, Turkish airlines is deffinetelly NOT the flight for you. I personally will never fly with them again after the way i was treated."

There was a long delay on the tarmac, during which we had to pull back to the gate or to a maintenance area before we finally took off. When we arrived in Vegas there was no gate for us to pull into, which led to another long delay of an already long and delayed flight."

However KLM allowed a passenger — who did not pay for the emergency row to sit next to me because he needed the extra space because he was a liarge man, and clearly didn’t fit very well in the economy seats. Thus I I lost all the extra space and actually would of preferred a regular economy seat. that would’ve been more preferential then paying $60 and getting less space than I would’ve had it in a regular economy. I understand the other passengers comfort was important and if that was the case he should’ve paid $60 as well."

Unfotunately that flight was rerouted to Charlotte due to bad weather conditions with a delay of 3 hrs before it landed in ATL thus missing our connection to INDI and had to sleep in ATL and leave the next day to IND thus missing a meeting commitment that we had in IND. We should and expect to be compensated by Delta for this."

Im not a happy camper. I usually fly JetBlue and this has never happened with them. Delta acted like its a normal thing with them. I paid 25 dollars to check each bag. How can both my bags not reach their final destination together and how come this seems like a normal procedure for Delta. I paid you for a service and now I have to drive back to the airport or wait for you at home to deliver my bags whenever Delta feels like it. I probably won't fly Delta again unless I absolutely have to."

My flight was delayed 12 hours overnight due to "weather" and since it was reportedly because of uncontrollable weather delta didn't have to do anything for me so I slept in the JFK airport overnight, they wouldn't even give a $59 pass to their sky miles club for the afternoon. It felt like an easy excuse so they wouldn't have to do anything since there were other airlines still flying out of JFK and to go CLE before my rescheduled flight which makes me believe it wasn't all weather. Since the flight was delayed 12 hours instead of being cancelled they wouldn't let me switch to a different airline either. Then, in the morning when it was rescheduled to it was again delayed because they first couldn't find a captain and then couldn't find a fort mate. We finally took off and arrived in Cleveland only to wait another 30 minutes for a gate and a ground crew that they couldn't find. I will never fly delta again."

We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

Pros: "Even though we were a little late boarding and taking off, we still arrived 15 minutes early. The on board snack was pretty good (cheese sandwich) and the coffee was lovely - good quality and just what I needed."

Pros: "The plane was clean. Some of the attendants were very kind and helpful about our situation (the plane left 35 minutes late from Athens and we were in danger of missing our next flight to the US). Food was pretty good. Small portions as usual."
Cons: "Pretty big delay before departure, ended up in very stressful conditions for the rest of the trip. It became pretty obvious that we were cutting very close to the boarding time for our next flight (arrival scheduled for 4:05 pm and our flight to Chicago barding on 4:20 pm). One of the flight attendants kindly offered us to move up to the front seats of the plane on the last 15 minutes of the flight (with our luggage) so that we can exit as soon as possible. We moved (per his suggestions) and we were treated rudely by the young lady attendant of the Business Class. We explained that we moved after the suggestion of their other flying attendant. She called her supervisor on us, who in return, rudely, arrogantly and loudly started to berate us on how we "dared" to move ourselves to the Business class. After explaining the whole story again and showing her the tickets, she allowed us to stay to those seats for the last 10 minutes of the flight. We asked if an airport cart could be called to transfer us to the next gate, and they said no. We asked for information on the gate for Chicago and they did not provide one. Unfortunately, the plane landed very far from the gates. We had to enter the airport bus, which traveled for about 15 minutes before we got on a gate. There, we faced about 35 minutes of passport procedures and waiting lines. At that point, 5 minutes before our plane for Chicago was supposed to take off, we asked the passport pre-check officer what we should do (we assumed we would be missing the plane at that point) and he told us very rudely "When you REALLY miss your plane, then come back and ask me"!!!!!!!!! Then we passed through passport check and we were told to run to our gate (which by that time was no longer showing on the computer screen, and we knew about the changed number, ONLY because KAYAK sent the update to us-THANK YOU!!!). We ran for about 12 minutes. We arrived at our gate late by about 25 minutes after our flight was supposed to leave. There we were asked why we were running and when we told the guy who screened our boarding passes he responded "Well, running is good for your health..."!!!!! At that point I would have liked to give him a piece of my mind...We were told by the same guy that due to airport security issues, Frankfurt airport had so many delays in the last couple of weeks that planes know to wait for the late passengers. Couldn't someone have told us that before? We have NEVER been treated so poorly by an airline and we will NOT fly with them again. The LUFTHANSA customer service was terrible. We have not encountered such arrogance and lack of information for many years...Shame on them! AND we were not the only Americans running. There were families with little children and older people, etc etc, just because the Lufthansa attendants and ground crew did not feel like giving us the information we needed!!!"

Cons: "The gate printed on my ticket was not the gate the plane departed from. Not only was it not, but there was no announcement or warning this would happen. I only realized because 15 mins after the scheduled boarding time I went to find out what was going on. There should have been an announcement."
