I am a Delta frequent flier, and despite logging on and checking in, was told at the airport counter that I would be assigned a seat at the gate. Of course we were assigned to the last row of the antiquated MD 88, right next to one of the engines. As if the lack of reclining seats was bad enough, the engine noise and vibration was almost unbearable on the flight that was delayed one hour on the Tarmac. The crew was understanding and we did get to Orlando safely...a big plus."

We'd taxied to the runway when takeoff was delayed by an incident ahead of us with another plane, and the flight attendants didn't give anyone a hard time about getting up to go to the restroom while we waited for the situation to be cleared, which I really appreciated."

I flew to NY on American Airlines, and was relatively comfy, but was looking forward to my Delta flight back to Nashville, because I've been more pleased with Delta in the past. Maybe because the plane was smaller than I usually fly on or something (?), I spent the whole flight crammed into the corner, trying not to bump into the lady next to me (and she wasn't taking up too much space, btw - neither of us was overweight and neither of us used the shared armrest, we were both just wedged into our seats. Very uncomfortable)."

Cons: "It may be La Guardia Airport that is the one to blame and not AA, but long story short I was on the airplane on the ground in NY for about 5 hours. We had a domino effect of things happen that caused us to be delayed and then cancelled. First a Gate change to a different terminal after boarding was suppose to begin so we had to take a shuttle over and we're still missing 50 passengers, Engine problem that required maintenance, refuel because we were in the plane on the ground waiting for so long, deplane and replane for 10 mins because of a law, on the runway and back to the gate for all these different occasions. When they finally let us off the plane after all these hours it was because of weather (although the skies were blue and the pilot was confident it wouldn't be an issue) they didn't actually cancel the flight until 5pm, my flight was suppose to take off at 9am. They were also required by law to give us free snacks Bc we hadn't eaten all day or had fresh air--these were all chips and soda...in gluten free so I had to starve. AA customer relations said they couldn't compensate because the issue that was documented in their records for my flight cancellation was because of "weather"... my flight couldn't be rescheduled until the following afternoon, making me have to cancel work 2 days in a row and pay for multiple taxis and and extra night of boarding. I will NEVER fly AA or La Guardia again."

They did not refund money for the waiting, they didn't give any voucher for breakfast, they just gave us chips and drinks. People were very anxious and mad about the sInitiation."

I had a flight delay that forced me to reschedule to a flight the following morning and caused me to pay for an overnight at a hotel; none of the staff seemed to care whatsoever about their customers' travel plans or experience, giving us little to no information up to the point of canceling our flight, and doing even less to accommodate when plans were foiled. I honestly am waiting for a refund at this point. Terrible trip with American Airlines."

Once i land I rush to my gate because I only have 20 minutes before they start boarding ; I get to the gate and have to wait almost an hour. At this point I still havent eaten because I am waiting around by the gate and the attendants are not communicating any information. Then they finally tell us that the reason the fligt hasnt boarded was because the flight attendant misplaced her luggage in the previous flight and was waiting to arrive to the terminal. Now how is that my issue? American Airlines needs to do better!"

The fellow sitting in front of me was in the bulkhead seat, yet reclined his chair all the way leaving me very little space. I really wish flight attendants would ask travelers to be considerate and not recline their seats during there welcome speech. Or even ask if the person being squished is ok. There were no snacks offered. Drinks were not offered till at least an hour into flight. My first flight was canceled. Kayak let me know, American never notified me!"

The snacks were 1/2 empty, ther was no free wifi or movies @ all. & The tv channel didn't change."

Pros: "I had a blood coat on my leg 2 months before my flight and the pain and swelling sometimes were unbearable, United was extremely accommodating, kind and courteous from the check in all the way to helping me retrieve my luggage in a wheel chair and that alone ease my pain, not having to do any extra effort was a huge relief on my legs. Definitely booking again with United and Kayak"
Cons: "TSA were less than basic, making me go up and down twice trough two different metal detectors and a body scan machine, then asking me to put both my hands above my head while standing up in the body scanner, a guy in a wheel chair who could only stand with a cane, these guys are barbaric but that's not the airlines fault."

Pros: "It was a very easy flight, took off on time and arrived 45 minutes early. So much easier and less painful than Delta. The only negative was having to pay for food only snack food and coffee or soft drinks but knowing ahead of time, I would just bring my own food. The crew was very serious and conscientious. I felt very safe with them. I was able to use TSA precheck without a problem. I would definitely use Frontier again."

I will never attempt to fly Frontier again."

In an effort to allow her to spread out and be more comfortable, I asked if I could move to one of the three empty seats together two rows up ( this was after all passengers had boarded and doors had shut.) I was tod there was a fifty dollar upgrade cost to sit there. So those seats remained empty the whole flight as I had a one year old to help entertain. I understand policy and upgrade costs ( those seats were not first or business class,) but once we were in flight I thought the attendants would use common sense and Cortes you which they did not. Very disappointed in there overall performance. They were neither friendly or courteous."

But the flight was delayed on the way out due to maintenance - Frontier contracts out their maintenance - so then we switched to a different plane. I was more than an hour late to my meeting in New York. Even The flight attendants were rude - they wouldn't even give me a cup of water after I had run to a different terminal and back trying to catch a different flight out. The flight back was even worse. Again, we were delayed. And the flight attendants were rude. I've flown probably around 200 flights in my life. These two flights were without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had."

The staff was great but they didn't announce when the boarding started and it wasn't on the monitors through out the airport with the correct boarding time."

Cons: "Arriving 2 hours late on an overnight flight. The baggage claim was extremely slow in spite of the fact there weren't any other planes that had landed. Plane was again extremely hot."

Pros: "There was literally nothing to like. The crew was unprofessional, rude, and clearly insufficiently trained. I asked for a napkin and rather than get one for me from the galley, they opened the restroom door and pulled out hand towels and handed them to me."
Cons: "There was little or no information given about gate assignment or boarding procedures by the airline at the airport and it led to chaos and confusion at the gate. The flight was severely delayed and little communication was provided during that time. We fly quite a lot and this was, by far, the worst flying experience we have ever encountered. We were completely mislead about baggage checking costs, seating costs, etc. absolutely horrible. Never, ever again will we fly Frontier."

Didn't know all of this before I booked or I certainly would not have chosen Frontier."

Heard complains from one attendant about the delay causing her to miss her sleeping hours. Was not able to relax because of the attendant's loud conversation with one of the passengers and the loud noises made by the slamming of the doors in the food and refreshment area. Tried to keep occupied but the tray was too small to place my apple laptop. So just tried to squeeze myself in my seat to avoid being bopped into my head and shoulders. Not a very relaxing flight. Was not impressed about the are of a customer comfort. Another passengers were also complaining."

Non of them checked the security aspects of the flight before departure including seat belts or not letting people keep their back packs between the legs instead of putting them under the seat. Furthermore, my seat was beside a person who needed two seats instead of one seat and all the time during fligt I was in an extreme discomfort. I talked to the flight attendants and asked them if possible to give me another seat but they were not willing to help much.Totally I am really disappointed with boarding+comfort and the crew. I will definitely try my best not to fly with Spirit airlines anymore."
