Air Canada is always late to board, take off, or to depart from the aircraft for the most random reasons. Every time I fly with apr Canada I can never depart or arrive in time; it's always a problem.

Check in staff not present until after 430, yet it was recommended to arrive at the airport 2 hrs early for the 6am flight. The group of people waiting were unorganized and handled poorly which I suspect was due to such low staffing i.e. 1 person trying to adress, organize and then process ~100 people. Entertainment system didn't work on the flight either.

Second plane waited at gate with all aboard for 2-1/2 hours and never got slot and de-planed. Third plane waited 1-1/2 hours for de-Icing and finally we were headed home. Arrived 8.5 hours after schedule.

Our plane was defective so had to be replaced. This is fine, I certainly am willing to wait for a new plane if it means not blowing up over the ocean. The problem was how little the attendants at the gate communicated the situation to us. What should have been a brief layover became a 12 hour nightmare. The gate attendants did finally issue meal vouchers but they waited until 10 minutes before all the restaurants closed and only issued $10 a person. This is enough to buy a hot dog at an airport... We were told there wouldn't be any rescheduling of missed connections until we were "airborne". This resulted in mass panic and confusion upon reaching our destination. We were told to go to the service desk, half an airport away, but once the entire passenger contents of the plane arrived at that far flung service desk, we were mostly turned away to seek help at individual gates. This lack of communication meant I missed the next next available connecting flight and now have a further six hour layover. I understand accidents happen and planes can break down but the nearly complete lack of care and customer attention is, frankly, disappointing. I've now had nearly an entire day added to my travel time. If I'd been willing to loose that time I would have paid $600 less for my ticket. United finally offered a token of their appreciation : a $100 e-voucher. I have spent more than that on food and coffee in airports for the past two days while trying to survive until my next connections.

Fortunately as a passenger the economy flight area was very spacious due to low numbers of passengers. Which provided a comfortable seating space.

The entertainment could and been a little more variable in the film range provided. But generally overall I had a excellent flight. Food was good. Crew were very good and I would definitely consider flying United on my next visit out and recommend that my family did. Thank you United.

Crew on board as accommodating as they could be.

Arrived at the airport to find hundreds of people on line trying to check in. No Air Canada employees were explaining anything to anyone, as we all stood in line for over a hour, nervous we'd miss our flights. Word was passed from the front of the line that the system was down. They held planes, so I guess everyone eventually made it to their flights--but not until everyone was stressed out to the limit. Lack of assistance from Air Canada personnel was glaring.

Some staff were professional and nice.

The staff at the check in counter need some additional training because they didn't notice that the boarding pass that they gave me did not give me a seat on my flight. I didnt notice until boarding the plane. I showed the customer service agent at the gate and that's when she told me I didnt have a seat on the plane and that they had to get me one before I could board it. Everything ended up working out in the but the same problem happened with another flyer and they couldn't get her a seat. So she had to wait for the next flight!! I felt bad for her because like myself she paid for a seat on that plane and because of Air Canada's horrible system she missed her flight. Also, my flight to Newark was nightmare because my flight from London to Toronto was delayed, and my connecting flight to Newark left without waiting for me and other passengers on the delayed plane. I think that's the most crazy thing because all us passengers paid for that flight and we had no choice but to wait the next day. We were accommodated with a hotel after waiting hours and hours but it was still very frustrating.

On two of the legs of the trip they notice I was a tall person with long legs and upgraded me to seats with more leg room!! I didn't even ask. Thank you.

On the way back there were open seats with extra leg room and I asked the gate attendant if it was possible to switch my seat to one with more room and they said they only could if I paid extra.

On the flight coming to Toronto the staff randomly choose ppl to check bags at gate...no consistency which is very frustrating Flight was delayed. On the flight got returning I arrived at airport at 730 for my 9 PM flight ....they knew it would be delayed earlier in the day but never posted it so ppl could adjust their schedules. My last 4 flights with AC have been disappointing

The entertainment could and been a little more variable in the film range provided. But generally overall I had a excellent flight. Food was good. Crew were very good and I would definitely consider flying United on my next visit out and recommend that my family did. Thank you United.

Our plane was defective so had to be replaced. This is fine, I certainly am willing to wait for a new plane if it means not blowing up over the ocean. The problem was how little the attendants at the gate communicated the situation to us. What should have been a brief layover became a 12 hour nightmare. The gate attendants did finally issue meal vouchers but they waited until 10 minutes before all the restaurants closed and only issued $10 a person. This is enough to buy a hot dog at an airport... We were told there wouldn't be any rescheduling of missed connections until we were "airborne". This resulted in mass panic and confusion upon reaching our destination. We were told to go to the service desk, half an airport away, but once the entire passenger contents of the plane arrived at that far flung service desk, we were mostly turned away to seek help at individual gates. This lack of communication meant I missed the next next available connecting flight and now have a further six hour layover. I understand accidents happen and planes can break down but the nearly complete lack of care and customer attention is, frankly, disappointing. I've now had nearly an entire day added to my travel time. If I'd been willing to loose that time I would have paid $600 less for my ticket. United finally offered a token of their appreciation : a $100 e-voucher. I have spent more than that on food and coffee in airports for the past two days while trying to survive until my next connections.

The United pilot we flew that day. did great job. we arrive safe to the distination despite of the climate condition. im happy for the service.so far im satified..

the delayed flight this time almost cause us to lost our next flight in chicago. thats what i dont like. wish this wont happen next time..
