Cons: "I sat next to a creepy intoxicated man during my flight and I was not helped out. When I first sat down he was speaking to me and trying to hit on me but I showed that I wasn’t interested. I didn’t even have to sit down to smell the alcohol on him. During the flight he tried to place his head on my shoulder and tried to get close to me. I was too worried to call for an attendant because he was intoxicated but when the attendants would come and offer us food I tried to make it clearly visible that I was anxious and uncomfortable and NOTHING. To make it worse they continued to serve him alcohol!!"

Cons: "We boarded, they closed the door, told us to turn our phones off, acted like we were leaving, then informed us we had an hour delay. The flight attendants remarked that they couldn't hold us hostage and could get off if we want. The whole thing wasn't done properly."

Cons: "Boarding process was ok (they bused us over to the plane and then had us walking out halfway to the plane's stairs before frantically sending us back on the bus because the plane wasn't cleaned yet). Not a big deal but we were traveling with a 10 month old so miscommunications like that cause a larger inconvenience than usual. The real downer on the flight was when we needed hot water quickly to warm our infant's bottle. The stewardess had begun beverage service and was about 8 rows away from us. My wife hit the call button, expecting the stewardness to come over somewhat quickly. Instead, she just continued beverage service and got to us about 15 mins later. By that point it was too late and the baby was wailing from hunger. When we asked why, knowing that we had a small child, the stewardness didn't just push the cart forward and attend to us more quickly, she said she didn't want to do that. No apology, not even a sense of remorse. At the end of the day, a customer's experience will always be tainted by poor service and that is what we received on our flight."

They were not terribly busy at the time and I politely asked as I was unsure which line to be in. The flight attendants (only from ORF to Detroit) also were unfriendly with an attitude. Just simple stuff. I asked for extra ice, she thought I said no ice. Simple mistake, no big deal but when I explained that I actually wanted extra ice she was perturbed!"

Cons: "Have to request wheelchair service twice as the receiving staff handing the wheelchair to another company for departure staff. Only one counter handles wheelchair request at each leg. They are so strict with liquids that all baby foods had to put in a separate bin and we had to go to another security point for clearance. It took 2.5 hours to go through all that, that is with wheelchair priority! Boarding was horrible at the gate."

Just fat Americans. and small seats don't mix well!

Unbeknownst to me, this 3-legged trip was not all linked. I had to get a boarding pass from British Airways in London. And then go through a very (!) long security/TSA line in London, Which caised me to miss my flight. I was rebooked on a later flight from London to Istanbul, but this too took over over an hour late. I finally arrived in Istanbul at 1:30 am. The BA flight delay out of Istanbul was unfortunate.

There was no beverage service

Lost luggage as the crew insisted we check it despite a 45 min short lay over that with a delay would NOT be enough time to load bags!!! On a four hour flight crew came by with drinks one time despite a smooth flight so no stay in seat restrictions. All around American Airlines has poorly trained staff with some exceptions the crew seem ready to be doing g anything other than customer service!!!

I have not met a person yet who has been able to figure out the American Airlines app for entertainment.

Love that fact that we got boarded quickly and were able to leave and arrive earlier than scheduled. Pilot tried to keep it as smooth as possible. The gate valet process could have been better. They usually differentiate between first class and main cabin. They didn’t this time So when I arrived. My bag was one of the last to come off.

Flight attendant for first class is definitely not a morning person. Oh and the WiFi DID NOT WORK!

The lady at the check in desk never asked me if I was first class or main cabin. Just assumed I was main cabin. So they almost made me check my carry on until I showed my boarding pass. Other than that, everything was great. Smooth flight flight attendants were very nice

There was no organization to get vouchers passed out. The hotel ran out of rooms for passengers. The whole trip was 16 hrs delayed and no customer service provided."

Given the volume at which it was said to me I felt embarrassed, and was upset at the fact that I then had to respond that I indeed was in the correct location."

The forecast did not include any bad weather, and the apparent reason for the cancellation was excess capacity on routes to non-Newark United hubs from Norfolk. United refused to accommodate us on a comparable flight on another airline, and Delta offered a direct flight for less money than we originally paid United. United alienated a previously loyal United customer."

The flight attendant, Angel lives up to her name- what an angel! I love her! She was so helpful and attentive and patient. My daughter spilled some juice on her shorts and not only did Angel help me clean up my daughter, she did not hesitate to pick up my daughter’s dirty shorts and neatly packaged it away for me! She went above and beyond her future to provide THE BEST customer service and flight I’ve had in over 20+ years of flying. Thank you, Angel, please continue to excel at exceptional customer service professional!

Pros: "Crew was very attentive and professional, and the food and beverage on the Lufthansa transatlantic sector were better than US carriers offer."
Cons: "The economy seats on the Lufthansa A350 were extremely uncomfortable and seemed excessively narrow as well has having cramped legroom. I could not get comfortable let alone sleep, and my backside felt like I had been sitting on a park bench rather than a long haul coach airline seat. I will avoid this aircraft if possible in the future."

Even if there was weather, they didn't hold our outbound flight and missed it by 15 minutes. Didn't comp us for a hotel, had to stay in Jersey out of pocket, Jersey is busy, dirty, smelly, and overcrowded. Not enough infrastructure for the people. We were lucky we got there 2 hours prior to flight time and had TSA Pre Check."

Cons: "Our flight had a "mechanical delay" which drug on for several hours (every 30 min there would be another 30 min delay). This eventually meant we would miss our connection to Munich and had to be rescheduled to the following day. The next day we had another round of "mechanical delays" and just barely made the connection."

They put my daughters safety at risk with such lack of compassion. Caused such unbelievable stress and chaos. I will continue to tell everyone I know how horrible this was. I had left my remaining cash (and didn't bring my card) with my lady friend to get the kids some nice things (she is driving back on a seperate day and was already two hours away by the time we found out flight wasn't happening in time) and absolutely zero compassion given by United. Also, required to add an 80 dollar uber when I get home because there will be no ride as my orginal ride can't make it. May also have to call out of work. Not even an offer to bump my seat on next flight to close to the cabin or exit row. Two hours on phone with customer service with no offers of even slight compensation even when this entire situation is explained. I get it. I agreed to terms of service, but your service sucked and is costing me an armful of money at this point, wouldn't it be in the slightest interest of theirs to give me a meal, or a room or even a lousy coffee?"

All good

The crew made the best of it, but the plane was an oven. We were in the tarmac 45 minutes even though we boarded right on time. They took a while to send our luggage to the baggage claim. It was not enjoyable.

Cons: "Terrible seats, but you know that! That’s all anyone talks about is how terrible and uncomfortable the seats are."

Pros: "The crew was great. It’s Spirit...you get what you pay for and they’re very clear that these are no frills flights."

Pros: "Compared with other Spirit Airlines flights, the legroom was adequate. I was able to sit by my girlfriend by changing seats with other travelers, which was awesome and free-of-charge."
Cons: "The complete lack of complementary water and snack and the marketing of the Spirit credit card are all weird and not appreciated."

Cons: "Seats, options of food. Prices on food. Staff looked bored or tired or both."
Cons: "Seats not comfortable at all. No entertainment at all like the little screens for movies or music. Asked for some water (I just wanted a cup of water) and they wanted to sell me a bottle of water for $3. The gave me a half full cup. Had to stay in plane for more than an hour to get out of plane when arraving at Orlando. Even had to pay for my carry on! Never have I ever paid for a carry on with other airlines! And it was very expensive. $105 for carry on + luggage."
Pros: "The crew was so welcoming. And I noticed they were very attentive to everyone’s needs and wants. The flight was on time even with the bad weather the pilots had to maneuver around."
Cons: "I wasn’t happy when I got to the airport with an additional charge for the bags. I thought my trip was paid in full. I feel this charge should be included. I learned a lesson for my next trip in a couple of months. All so the seats were so cramped, this was so uncomfortable. This will also take more research for my next trip."
Pros: "Low base fare"
Cons: "Expensive checked bag fees; no in flight entertainment; no complimentary snacks"
Cons: "Now I remember why we haven't flown spirit in so long."
Pros: "I liked I didn’t have a connection to catch. Once in air everything was fine except no entertainment, which I can live with."
Cons: "Computer system went down and I was told it was across the nation. So no boarding passes, no boarding and no flying until the system was back online. It took well over an hour and probably more than 2 hours to fix. Good thing was no one was left off their flight as I was one of the people needing to get a boarding pass and through security."

Cons: "Everything. I missed my damn flight and had to re-book because the foreign lady at the counter said "you must arrive 2 hours early." First and last time flying spirit"
Cons: "Seats were uncomfortable. Very little leg room."
Pros: "If you are traveling with little to no luggage this is the best bang for your buck travel airline in the industry."

Cons: "I missed my connecting flight in Detroit due to my flight leaving late from Baltimore because of bad weather in Chicago. Spirit did not have any other connecting flights until 2 days later. They offered no assistance. I needed to be at my destination the next day for a wedding, so I had to purchase an additional ticket out of pocket from Southwest (staff was very helpful). I recommend removing Spirit Airlines from Kayak."
Pros: "i really enjoyed being charged $57 upon arrival for a small carryon bag that went in the bin above my seat."
Cons: "i didnt like the mysterious additional $80 charge I got from "flight network" on top of my standard air fare and fees, but that may have been a KAYAK scam not a SPIRIT one. I was very clearly made aware of the airfare cost and fees, why wasnt i blatently told Id be charged an additional $80? WILL NOT BE FLYING SPIRIT AGAIN AND LIKELY NOT USING KAYAK TO BOOK EITHER"
Cons: "Was supposed to go from Texas to Puerto Rico, but instead got dropped in Florida for a day and a half with nothing to do and no one to stay with. Wasn't offered accommodations. Also had to pay a fee to get my seat reserved. I repeat, a fee to get my seat reserved, and a fee for carry-on"
Pros: "Nothing, unfortunately"
Cons: "I decided to give this airline a try due to an inexpensive return flight option from LAS to LAX but had nothing but a terrible experience. First, I had to pay for my carry-on which costed more than I expected. Then, my boarding pass didn't print. By the time I made it all the way back downstairs to the check-in desk I was told I missed my flight by a rude ticket desk lady. Departure wasn't for 30 more minutes! I was furious and asked for at least a refund on the carry-on I had purchased an hour before and had a receipt with the time stamped. Spirit Airlines "manager" denied my request. I was beyond frustrated when they told me the next available flight was in two days! I ended up buying a ticket with a much more reliable airline and refuse to do business with Spirit again. I never received a "Time to Check-In" email from Spirit prior to my departure date which would have saved a lot of time and wasted money. What a shame."

Cons: "They nickel and dine you for everything. It's cheaper to go with a more expensive flight in the long run with someone else. I also had the same seat number as another person and it was s big mess."

Cons: "I arrive about 5o min before my flight due to the interstate being close because of a brush fire. I was told that it was too late to checkin but after pleading with them for 20 min I was finally able to board. I think it was awful they took me through that especially since they were still boarding passengers. Also. I arrived way before the 15 min cut off time for boarding"

I could have flown on a real airline like JetBlue or American for that price. Kayak needs to tell people that. it's not a true comparison when searching for low fares."
Cons: "Crew was rude and carry on luggage policies are confusing, predatory and just made the overall experience really negative to see the boarding staff yelling at people and telling customers to throw away their luggage and put their items in shopping bags from the news stand. Flight was delayed hours but no update was available until well after I was checked into the airport. Never again will I fly Spirit."

Cons: "Price of checked & carry-on bags is pretty steep. I realize it's the new thing to charge for everything, however, it would be nice if a small bottle of water was available at no charge. It gets pretty dry & not everyone carries credit cards (believe it or not). Ok to charge for other food or beverages, but small bottles of water placed at the boarding gate to pick up on your way onto the plane would be a nice touch; and the crew wouldn't have to distribute them."

Cons: "The nickle-diming of the fares,the long winded check in process, the most uncomfortable seats that I have EVER had the displeasure of occupying, the absence of tray tables or seat pockets and the fact that you had to pay for any beverage or cheap snacks. Not to mention the 2-1/2 hour delay with no explanation. I will never fly them again and will make sure everyone that I know will hear of my experiance along with all of my social media. I could have flown Delta cheaper in the long run and in the future will book with more reliable,up-front airlines!!"
