The airport looks like it is being renovated, which is fine, but there is no tape/cones to mark off the renovated areas from the walkways. You literally walk through dirt and construction sites. I didn't even think that was legal in the US?! Anyway, maybe it will be worth it once the renovations are complete, especially if AA is going to use it as a hub."

Pros: "Crew and actual flight were great but something was broken on the rear air conditioning unit. It was a full flight and 86F in Dallas and 77F in Columbia. I was seated in rear of the plane very very hot with all the people on the plane. I felt it was difficult to breath once we were on the ground in como. We were at the gate and everyone stood up to get off but the doors remained closed for awhile. It seemed to get even hotter."

They brought out water and sodas while we waited. Then reboarded and got into Charlotte about three hours late. Lots of very unhappy people. They passed out 800 numbers to rebook. A lot of people missed connections."

Instead they wait till the last minute costing us valuable time. In the future, they should pay us the 25 dollar bag fee when they arbitrarily make this decision."

A number of us had to get off to check our bags and while we were checking them, a guy flying first class had a bag and while we are checking our luggage the pilot comes out and says "first class? Oh we will make room on the plane for you sir." And as a result of all of this, we missed our spot in the takeoff line, delayed the flight, and we almost missed our connection. Lastly, they overbooked the flight by TEN people. TEN."

They need to be prepared for crew to call out on a holiday. 5 1/2 hour delay with no weather emergency is unacceptable. A 50 dollar voucher does not make up for ruining a family hokiday"

I waited for finding the least expensive flight and found that every bag whether carry on or checked bag has a cost. It costs to print out your boarding pass from the airport. Once your boarding pass is purchased you then have to pay for a seat on the flight. If you want a snack there is a fee attached. So much for a less expensive flight. It would have cost less to go through an airline that combines everything and they would have had some entertainment for a 3 hour and 40 minute flight."

The first flight to Panama was CANCELED....then, when we went back the next day to check in and get our boarding passes, we were told we could not go to Panama unless we paid for a return flight. This was our first time flying international, so we were unaware of that."

As soon as I did I had a response that I needed further assistance from a representative and that I had to contact them. When I did, the woman told me that everything was fine. I re-check and told her the message was still showing up. She told me to try on my computer instead because the message didn't appear for her. Oh and before I told someone my problem I was transferred to the operator a couple of times. Finally I pulled out my computer an as soon as I saw the message called back extremely upset and told her that she needed to check with my confirmation number and to please not transfer me to the operator. She confirmed the problem was an error in the billing address. Worst experience for such a small problem. Crew wasn't too happy on the flight, chairs don't recline, no entertainment or drinks. You get what you pay for."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 4.5 hours due to all sorts of reasons. It was an absolute joke. I would never recommend Spirit to anyone and will certainly go out of my way to dissway people from using this airlines."

Cons: "Spirit was calling for last passengers to board the flight we had departed 45 minutes prior but our luggage hadn't shown up. Why did it take so long between deplaning and getting our luggage?"
Cons: "Our plane was downgraded. Window seat and had to find another flight to get it back. Our bags and the make o our plane was downgraded. Window seat and had to find another flight to get it back. Our bags we're loaded on the plane so the next day we had to drive to Atlantic City to get our bags."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by almost 6 hours. They didn't even try to voucher food or give any free snacks or drinks on the plane. I do not think that was the right thing to do."
Pros: "When the flight was over"
Cons: "The seats suck. They'll charge you for everything and their allowed carry-on bags are hilariously small. It was my first Spirit flight. And my last."
Cons: "Arrived at the airport three hours early and still only just made the flight. When we arrived the lines were out of the door and we had to stand outside with no shade in 90 degree heat for half an hour until the line finally led us inside. We flew with Spirit two years ago to Mexico and experienced exactly the same issues. We thought this might have been a one off and so gave them another try this year. Never again. There are never enough agents at the desk and $50.00 per bag is ridiculous. For three of us, $300.00, OUTRAGOUS! I looked for lines at other airline desks and there were none. Don't be pulled in by the prospect of a cheaper flight. By the time you have taken into consideration all the extra charges for luggage, checking in online and selecting your seats, one of the most expensive carriers in the airline business. Seats don't recline and no padding!"
