I was expecting my Alaskan flight to be better based on everything I'd heard from friends, but my return Delta flight showed Alaska up; it was a spacier plane with way more food offered."

There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

Cons: "where should i start? my flight was delayed leaving NC to ATL. after standing in line for over an hr trying to speak to someone about the issue. i was notified on my phone i could keep my current flight or rebook of course i wanted to keep my current flight since it was my birthday weekend. i then called delta (in nc) for help since they told us we wouldnt make our 1030 flight and we might have to stay in a hotel that night until we could rebook the flight. not cool! i was told by a person (in nc)about what i should do once landed in ATL. they were beyond rude. they turned their backs or gave half answers. when asked about the hotel for the night they told me they werent going to handle that and i had to pay for a hotel AFTER i was just told by a delta agent that if i had to stay overnight my hotel was going to be covered. i then again called a delta agent in ATL after being informed that my status on the stand by list wasnt activated and i had less than 10 mins to make it to the next terminal and try to get activated and i would probably not get onto that flight to leave ATL. we were told that we had to stay in the terminal that night. my whole trip could have been ruined from the start from the flight being delayed in NC to talking to rude delta agents in NC and ATL. my flight status being one thing and then finding out it was something else. i never had to deal with something like this."

The flight kept getting delayed, but no one made any announcements about why or even that there was a delay. Passengers just kept noticing the time change on the flight info board. On board, if you didn't buy into Delta's classist system of paying for an "extra comfort" seat (which, by the way, is a regular seat), you were seated in a tiny shoved in extra row where even my 8 year old's knees bumped the seat in front of us while seated. I will never fly Delta again, particularly with them being one of the priciest options."

Was not advised to try standby on other later flights, which worked. Finally landing in BOS, we sat for 45+ min waiting for a third person to flag the plan to the gate. Understand why, but really annoying after such a long day full of delays. Felt many areas could have been handled better. Each person individually tried, but in aggregate it was a mess."

Pros: "The flight was delayed by more than two hours which caused us (me, wife, 4yo, and 7mo) to miss our connection from LAX to HNL. We had to stay the night in LA and take a morning flight to HNL. But despite the delay, the gate agent in Charlotte did a good job of updating people and remained very polite even when it was clear people were getting frustrated and starting to get sharp with him. Pilots did a good job of trying to make up as much time as possible. I can't remember how much time they shaved off but I think it was more than 20 minutes. Customer service in LA was solid too. Went to CSD to get our tickets changed. They had already changed our flight to a 8 AM flight. We asked if we could take a later flight because of the kids and he was able to accommodate. They also gave us vouchers for 3 meals and a night at the Holiday Inn. Having a delayed flight is never fun but the AA staff was amazing throughout."

Coming back- not so much."

Then the flight was delayed until 1am so I did not get into Charlotte until 9am. that made me missed my meeting. then on our trip home we sat in the PHX airport for 12 hrs because we had flights canceled and delayed then canceled again we got to long beach airport at 630 pm that is 8 hrs later than we were to arrived."

Now I get that the trainee was supposed to be handle my request, but at the time I asked I didn't know that. She treated me like a school teacher responding to a disobedient student. Her insolence was stunning. Perhaps somebody should explain to her that without passengers she would not have a job, but I am not sure she would get the point."

But she the attendant told me another passenger said the same thing. The only difference was the boarding agent told them 179.00 to change seats. She suggested I bring it up to United, which I will do."

Missed my original connecting flight and the two connecting flights they had me on standby for. got to ohare, the united customer 'service' rep said "there are no more flights to Madison today - I don't even have to look. If you want to get there today, you need to go get on the bus". They didn't even offer to pay for the bus ticket ! Just rude and no customer 'service' at all !"

Cons: "My flight last week they had us board and then de plane do to plane maintenance after I traveled litterly all day it added an extra hour. Then this flight Washington connection to Detroit from raleigh the pilot never showed up and extra hour went by, we got a new pilots but, then leading to faulty paperwork that took another hour and thirty minutes after boarding the plan to get sorted. When we got that sorted they then proceeded to tell us that the flight atendent had to leave and we had to wait another 20 min for another atendent to arrive before finally making our way to Detroit. It wasn't just our flight either, the Frontier flight that landed an hour before us was still waiting and didn't get their bags until 90 minutes post landing. This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The high bag fees only added insult to injury."

They charge $60 for the checked bag EACH WAY and was super shocked they charge for a CARRYON!! Unbelievable. None of the regular seats recline whatsoever unless you pay more hidden fees just to have your seat not be straight up the entire time, and there is no front table to put a computer. To save another dime, they installed some super cheap 6 inch x 3 inch mini ledges that they call tables. I'll NEVER fly with Frontier again. They also refused to let me check in early so I had to sit and wait for hours since they refused to give me a boarding pass until I came all the way back to ticketing exactly and only exactly at 2 hours before boarding. Worst flight. A total shame since the crew was incredibly nice."
