I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

Cons: "When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."

They could have had this guy sit in the row behind with a Mom and a 4 yr old which would have been simple fix and not a safety issue for trying to exit my seat or row with this guy in it nor uncomfortable for the two woman sandwiched with him in middle seat."

Then, after being cancelled twice, you were unwilling to schedule us on a flight, whether on spirit or another airline, to get us back by sunday night. Then we chose to get a refund on the flight because it was the only real option we had from your not so apologetic offers that didnt really compensate for the inconvenience. You returned us the cost of the one way flight back, on a ticket we purchased months in advance at a lower price than what was comparable to the return flight we had to purchase that same day. I understand "unforseen" conditions can change things, but it would be nice for a company to compensate its passangers fairly for not being able to follow through on a commitment."

Cons: "A passenger who had a Trump pin on told the agent he didn't want to sit by any Women's March participants. He was told to board last to select the empty seat he wanted. I made a comment to him that I found his attitude divisive. Upon boarding, he asked for the head flight attendant and reported that he was being harassed. She came to my seat and threatened to make me get off--the person next to me spoke up and said that he had made ugly remarks to her when she asked him to please stop speaking so loudly on his cell phone out in the gate area and threatened to have her arrested. I felt that the crew allowed him to discriminate--would this have happened if we had been people of color he didn't want to sit by? Had he been assigned the seat next to me, I wouldn't have said anything to him--that's not the American way at least for me."
Cons: "The airline overbooked, gave my seat away, and left me stranded for a day without my luggage. Was not aware before buying the flight that you must pay for all baggage. Poorly run and not accommodating."
Cons: "First they didn't live up to their baggage carried on the plane. Consequently,loading the plane was slow and confining due to so much carryons. Second,gates 37&38 have a SMALL TSA checkpoint causing line confusions between entry to TSA and ticketing. Last the seating area cannot hold the passengers put in there, not enough seats,not enough toilets,no public water fountain, All these have me considering a complaint to the fire marshal and the health dept. The area is a hazard Pack your planes BUT not public areas"

Cons: "I will not fly Spirit again if I can help it. They nickel and dime you at every turn - charging for a carry-on bag and the ability to pick a seat it ridiculous. It quickly made my great online deal evaporate. Printing my boarding pass at the airport required four tries and the assistance of a rep. My flights were delayed both directions. I'll be return to one of the major airlines for my next travels."
Pros: "last minute before boarding you find out, your carry on and check bag will now cost double the amount of the palne ticket. oh and for each way lol at that point you pay it or miss your trip...not a way to do buisness"
Pros: "I like the stripped down price. I read more about Spirit Airlines before I left and knew the rules, planned accordingly, and didn't have any problems. I would fly with them again. Because of who Spirit is, I wasn't able to give a 5 in all aspects of the survey. They aren't known for their food, comfort, entertainment, and awesome service. The price for my ticket is what mattered to me and I got just what I needed to make my trip just right!"

Cons: "I am EXTREMELY upset with my entire experience regarding Spirit Airlines and 3rd party travel services. We showed up to the airport for our 7:35 pm flight and the flight board indicated our Spirit flight to Las Vegas was delayed until 8:15 pm. Since we now had extra time we went to go get food at the food court. We came back at 8:00 pm and it turned out that the flight wasn't actually delayed and left on time (ie without us!). No other flights were leaving until the following day. We were going on a short business trip for a seminar and the timing was meticulously planned out. Because of this, we missed half the seminar and also lost $150 on non-refundable hotel rooms we never actually used. When trying to cancel the hotel, we were informed we had to go through the booking agency. When going back to the booking agency, we were informed they needed to go through the hotel... Long story short we are out $150.This kind of "pass the buck" mentality is why I will NEVER use ANY 3rd party booking agency again when traveling. Thanks for nothing!!"
