At boarding time the clueless person who brought the wheel chair for us gave it to a 20 something man with a foot in a cast and crutches while my 71 year old wife had to wait until another wheelchair could be brought. The irony is that two wheelchairs were there until just. Edited boarding time and both were taken away."

Pros: "When everything was said and done, and most other people on the flight were given free passage to SFO by Airporter bus and then put onto a flight into LAX and then arrange transportation to Orange County (which I had every reason to think was a nightmare for those trying to get to Orange County from LAX due to unclaimed packages (security uproar) and major traffic around LAX and would not work for my disabled family to drive 1.5 hours to pick me up) I paid for a bus to SFO myself and booked a flight from there to Santa Ana (John Wayne) on Southwest. I eventually arrived there around 730 PM. Alaska refunded my flight southbound and still offered me $400 credit which was nice of them. That being said, the propeller planes are really noisy so don't expect a comfortable experience. But its worth it for the convenience to travel from Santa Rosa, CA (Sonoma County Airport) to Santa Ana (John Wayne Airport) provided they don't cancel your flight. Alaska will be adding more flights on this same route by summer and they deserve some credit for that, but at the end of the day, it was my own resourcefulness that saved the day, and got me to my family December 22nd. I would have had to wait until December 24th through Alaska Airlines for the same flight, and that is when my family celebrates Christmas, so that was NOT a very appealing option."

Cons: "I didn't go on my trip. My course in SF was cancelled and United would n't refund my money or change the dates for my trips because of there basic economy package. They have 3 different economy packages and the economy basic doesn't get refunds and you can't change the flights if needed. It feels like they are banking on increasing there ROI with this basic economy ticket which is 40 -60 dollars cheaper than the next economy package. Intuitively they know people will pick that, but if something comes up the customer is screwed."

Because she had the same last name as another passenger and the people who boarded us kept asking her for her passport and if that's really her name. Cons: "A 2 hour delay at 9:20pm at night is unfortunate yet frustrating experience, especially when we moved our flight up due to a travel warning for EWR (ironically enough, our originally scheduled flight (1922 MCO-EWR). I'm giving an overall OK (instead of good) due to the fact that there were no snacks (although I did not want anything, it didn't go unnoticed) and although there was free inflight entertainment for personal devices, I feel the passengers should have been given free internet access - in my opinion, it would have been the appropriate thing to do. In any case, this experience doesn't change my positive opinion of United."

I am 25 weeks preg so my running time is slower then normal. Then they rebooked me on a flight that had an additional connect and arrived 4 hours later then expected. By the time I got to my new flight gate- it was delayed so would miss my next connecting flight. Long story short it's 3 hours past when I was suppose to leave and settled for s flight to PDX tonight getting in at midnight. My friend From eugue is picking me up in Portland tomorrow. It has been an unsuccessful flight. Almost cancelled and wMechanical delay in fargo caused me to miss my connecting flight to Eugene by 5 minutes. Flight attendant handed me a very full glass of orange juice from an awkward angle that I had to reach over my seat and back cussing me to spill a few drops on the passenger next to me. She wasn't thrilled and the attendant just walked off. I was really awkwardly embarrassed."

Flights were delayed, no-one was kept informed, staff were rude, WIFI didn't work yet I was charged twice, toilets were filthy, and overall the flight was rough. Ive always ignored the bad press about united and taken them anyway but I'm starting to see why they are receiving the bad reputation permanently."

Cons: "No one could get their story straight and actually lied! I was sent a text (I was already at the airport) that the flight would be delayed due to "aircraft maintenance". Not true in the least bit. Then when we finally landed in Denver (nearly every person on that flight missed their connecting flights) we were told the system said the delay was "due to weather". Another lie. Then they announced there would be gate agents to meet us when we got off the plane to assist with connecting flights. First gate agent said "I have no information you have to go to gate 56". The person at gate 56 said "I don't open for another 15 minutes so you have to go to gate 39"! The real story? They made us change gates 5 times in Fargo! The gate attendant was using the "F-bomb"! It wasn't aircraft maintenance or the weather. They couldn't get the walkway to work! In the end, we still left from the original gate and had to walk outside on the tarmac to board the plane. Why didn't they just opt for that to begin with and avoid all the missed flights? My measly voucher isn't nearly enough compensation and if United ever expects me to fly with them again I am expecting a full refund (as other passengers received- I witnessed the manager in Denver authorize a full refund for another passenger but only offered me $50)"

Cons: "I flew round trip to Bangkok from Chicago last year for $460. Why does one way from Fargo N.D. To Green Bay, WI cost $480?! My flight said it was late on the screen (6:40) but actually flew on time. I think a kid missed his flight because of it. My connecting flight in Chicago was way too tight because of a LONG delay waiting to unboard. Had to run, yes run through ORD to get to terminal 2 from 1 within minutes to catch my flight. It was too stressfu and expensive."

We did ask a pilot and he suggest s the air train which was a horrible idea. We had to re enter and go through security again. We almost missed the flight thank goodness the plane was late so we barely made it as they were closing the doors. It was a horrible experience. The worst by far"

Cons: "Extremely poor check-in experience both in Newark as well as in Hamburg. United check-in agents in Hamburg violated German customs laws by NOT allowing passengers to claim their tax-free refunds by taking their tagged luggage to customs for presentation so that value added tax refunded may be claimed in gate area. This is ONLY a problem at Hamburg with United not anywhere else in Germany with United. I was sent back and forth FOUR times. Check-in and gate agents for United in Hamburg extremely poorly trained. Boarding time was 90 minutes before take-off!"

Cons: "Because of United's failure in Pittsburgh, I was unable to make it to IAD to fly from Washington to Manchester."

Pros: "The flight attendant worked very hard to keep everyone satisfied as she found seats together for a family of three small children and mother just as the passengers were settling in."
Cons: "The seating is very tight and uncomfortable in this plane."
