Cons: "It was hard coming home since we can't bring any food with meat on the international flight coming back to the USA. Or at least the food I brought, a sandwich was not allowed because of customs. I can't eat the food that was offered. I'm glutten intolerant and dairy involerant. Not sure there's a whole lot to do about it besides buy prepackaged food that don't have meat, vegtabjes or fruit. Protien bars may have worked. We brought two bottles of water each from the terminal. I could have used more, even with the drink service. The flight attendants we're having thier own personal conversation while passing out food and ran by when it came to the final trash clean up. When I got up to use the facilities I tried throwing my trash away but was ignored by a crew member while she was resting."
Pros: "Everyone at Aer Lingus from the people at the gate to the flight crew were very courteous to my mother who had to use a wheelchair."

Cons: "Gate announcer called for priority board and section beyond. Before adequately completed called for next section of rows to board. Those rude people crammed into the incomplete boarding line previously announced. Yes, we have assigned seats but overhead luggage often ends up way forward of rearward owners leaving forward passengers no place for convenient overhead storage. The cabin wait staff is ill trained for customer service. They seemed to only have requirements to check off on a list. We will likely make every attempt to not fly your airlines again."

Cons: "The lie flat seats in business class are not very comfortable. Especially in the straight up position. The entertainment system is pretty bad and the choice of movies, tv etc is very poor. The complimentary WiFi only worked occasionally. Can not understand how Aer Lingus claim to be a 4* airline."

Pros: "I loved the timeliness of the food service, and the options available for beverage service. The selection of movies and music available on the TV screen in the seat back was great, and allowed the time on the long plane ride to pass a little faster. The captain was extremely informative, about our flight path, the wind conditions, weather at our destination, etc. I particularly enjoyed the information he provided, because on some flights, you rarely hear from the person flying the plane."
Cons: "The boarding process was interesting: those that needed assistance and business class 1st (understood), but then front of the plane, back of the plane, and finally the middle. I don't feel this made things go any faster - we still waited in line for quite some time in the jetway. I don't understand having front, back, and middle. Just let all economy get in line, or do something efficient like load the window seats first, the aisle, and for the seats in the middle of the plane, have the middle seats load 1st, and then the aisle seats. Seats got uncomfortable during the flight. Also, the person in front of me reclined ALL the way, so the top of her seat was only a few inches in my face. Most flights I have been on don't allow the seats to recline that far. I could barely get out of my seat to get up and go to the bathroom."

We were told we could keep our water but then going through security wevwetevtoldcwe couldn't and there was no offer of water. The captain did apologize. I have no issue with aer Lingus staff they did their job. It is Mabchester airport which is bad as they are the ones that were responsible for these two incidents happening"

Cons: "Aer Lingus partners with UNITED for the Newark-Orlando leg. Flight was overbooked by 20 people and another 20 were on standby. My luggage didn't travel with me so it didn't arrive in Orlando when I did. I was fortunate that it made the next flight so I only had to wait an hour. Some fellow Irish passengers weren't so lucky."

Cons: "There wasn't any notification prior to booking process, with regards the need to get visa from the airport where I should be transiting for 2 hours only. After I booked and paid for nonrefundable, unchangeable, uncancellable ticket, I got an email asking me to get a visa in order to be able to transit for only two hours in Toronto airport. The visa takes at least 2 weeks, and my travel date was only few days ahead!. The rough lady in air Canada, plus the bad service and advise by the travel agent who advised not to take any action as it is only 2 hrs transiting and I won't be in trouble, all of that makes me not to recommend anyone to use your weird website. I had to stay 20hrs in the airport to book for another flight."

I flew to the US many times and this is the first time an airline IT system does not allow to check in for the US destination. The food was very mediocre. Inflight entertainment didn't work properly."

Cons: "Where to start??? Checking in process? Well this sucked. I wasn't able to check-in online and thus couldn't ever pick my seats. This meant getting a horrible seat on the plan. When I asked about this, I was told they are having issues with their online check-in process. Next the seats on the felt were very tight. They felt as bad as American Airlines domestic flights. I typically try to take European airlines when going to Europe as they tend to have more spacious seats but not this airline. They were VERY SMALL! Entertainment was ok and fairly typical. As for food on the plane, it was ok but they are extremely stingy with drinks. They charge for alcohol and will only offer a tiny fountain drink once. I've been on flights where soft drinks are always offered everytime they come around. was disappointed in this area as well as many other airlines offer significantly more. All in all I will do all I can to avoid this airline in the future. It was very poor."
