Pros: "We were offered food and drinks (including basic cocktails) continuously throughout the flight. Hot hand towels, comfortable seats, dozens of movies and TV series, all included with basic fare. The flight attendants were kind and helpful. Excellent service and organization!"

Cons: "It was an old 767 that either needs to be gutted and redone, or sold to FedEx for cargo. The entertainment systems were relics from 2002, and barely worked. USB port, nope. Then they ran out of food and booze (wine mostly), so they made the nonrev employees go without, which was awkward gif the rest. But the kicker was that they lost my luggage. I told them that it hadn’t been boarded ten minutes prior to pushback. The Venice folks were very excited to be able to show me exactly where they list it (because of the RFID bag tags)... doesn’t do me much good... 10 miles away or 10,000 miles away, I still don’t have my “stuff”"

Cons: "Their system gives too-short layovers so any delay at the point of origin means a risk of missing connections. Many people on my flight were worried about connections because Delta delayed our start by over 30 minutes to "change a switch," whatever that means. Then for passengers with short connection times, they should NEVER be seated in the rear of the plane when it takes 20-30 minutes for the rear-seated passengers. Not very consumer-oriented."

Cons: "Delta Flight #1494 On my return flight, I had to pay for a 2nd ticket to fly out early since Delta was cancelling flights to the south and I didn’t want to get stuck in Philadelphia. When the plane arrived for a layover in Atlanta, there was a flight going on from the first 2 people waiting to deplane. In my distraction and fear, I left my water bottle next to my seat. When I realized that I had left it, I went back to the gate and told the gate attendant that my bottle was next to my seat. She would not call down to the plane, nor walk down, and told me I had to wait until the entire flight had boarded. I explained that my connecting flight was boarding across the airport. The bottle was expensive and had great sentimental value. A couple times, I tried to ask people boarding the flight if they would tell a flight attendant to retrieve my bottle. The gate attendant told the boarding passenger to ignore me. When the flight had completely boarded, the gate attendant went down to the plane only to return to me to tell me that the flight attendant(s) allowed the cleaning crew to take the bottle. The gate attendant called the cleaning service and then she told me that the bottle was waiting at the tower and that I could ask at my next gate to have the bottle delivered to that gate. Since my connecting flight had already started boarding I had to run/train it across the airport to arrive at the gate. When I told the 2nd gate attendant, the story and asked him to call the tower to get my bottle, he told me that “wasn’t a thing” and that the 1st gate attendant lied to me. I had to board since they were getting ready to close the plane. This incident was compounded to many unpleasant experiences I’ve had with Delta over the past few years (losing my luggage and lying about it, damaging my suitcase, etc., etc.). I don’t understand how you can continue to be successful as an airline when you run your operation the way Delta does."

Cons: "Delta told us we were flying out on a Delta flight, and gave us a Delta flight number. In reality it had placed us on a Westjet flight without telling us, and we had no idea we were to check in with a different airline. And because Delta unilaterally changed our flight time without telling Westjet, we were unable to check in online and were later told that we were booked on the wrong flight by Delta. Delta's communications with us and with Westjet were deplorable."

Cons: "Delays longer than the scheduled flight time. Entertainment options are limited in the time of such a short flight. Long distance between gates when you have been forced into a hurry by delays."

Earlier today your system was down and your agent told me to call back. Now no one picks up the phone. I have been on hold for 15 minutes. This was British airways."

Cons: "AA let me know that our flights were delayed to MIA, which would in effect, make up miss out connection to get to Kingston, Jamaica. They tried to rebook us, but for the NEXT day. So after calling, I got my ticket rebooked for an earlier flight, but I couldn’t do the same for my boyfriend’s. At the airport we requested he check in as standby, however, the rep checking us in said he couldn’t. We asked for other flights arriving on the same day at the original ticket & even looking across partner airlines, he said there was nothing. Hard to believe, but then eventually said he found something by way of Lax to AZ to MIA & then KIN that would arrive later that night. We quickly took it because it was getting late to check in for TSA for my flight, only to find out later that the ticket he printed was for arrival the next night - not at all what we agreed upon! What a waste of time, as if the money we spent on this vacation didn’t mean anything, and when I called to get compensated, I was told to write in to AA. Write in. It’s 2018. Who can I speak with to get compensated for our time & money being wasted? I understand it may not have been within AA control, however, I would have liked for them to have cared that we were inconvenienced as paying customers, instead of being told, in action & in words, that the inconvenience we were being put through (to no fault of our own) was no big deal & we should just suck up the money we are loosing as a result. Very disappointed ☹️"

Had to wait about 45 minutes on the tarmac after landing because they couldn't get an available gate for our scheduled flight. Beats the 5 HOUR delay on the flight out to Athens though. I have to say that's all the usual American Airlines incompetence. The cockpit crew always seem great though. I don't fly American unless I have to."

It's called customer service. I understand things happen that are out of our control, I also understand what it is to help make people whole or happy."

Pros: "I boooked through Kayak based on recommendations fron Rick Steves. When I tried to check in the night before, I was told I wasn't on the flights I had booked. Turns out SAS had switched me to a later flight without any notice. It took hours on the night I was readying yo leave for a three-week trip to find out what had happened. At best, I would have found out the next day at the airport and waited an extra three hours. Not the big fun! At worst, who knows? Would someone have been able to figure it out in time? Huge run-around!"

So I had to go spend a night in a hotel which I had to pay for and wait for the next flight in the morning the next day. Next day the flight got delayed yet again this time little over 2 hours. So I would've missed the flight from San Francisco do Honolulu yet again. This time they managed to find a little later flight and put me on that but still had to wait at the airports for over 8 hours. Super mad about how United works... Had problems with my boss as well because I was supposed to work the next day but they rescheduled my flight for that day. Really not a pleasant experience..."

Pros: "The flight from the Denver leg to Des Moines was great. The crew was exceptionally friendly, especially the stewardess. I really loved taking the smaller plane into Des Moines. It made the boarding and deboarding go very quickly. In the future when traveling to destinations outside of a major hub, I will look for flights with smaller planes. It was an incredibly pleasant flight experience."

Entertainment got a mediocre rating simply because I didn't indulge. I might have been tempted more if I could have seen a price somewhere for the entertainment. Being a chef, I would never give poor quality customer service as he did. My flight attendants from DEN to TYS was much more personable and made the flight much more enjoyable."

The gate agent messed up out seat assignments and put 2 of us in the same seat and then a airline attendant on the plane was so rude and condescending to the few of us on the plane about the seat confusion that again was not the passengers fault but United. I am trying to track down her name to file a formal complaint. She made a remark that was disrespectful to people not being able to "read" correctly, she was very rude. Also on our return flight it is not showing our seat assignments. Very poor experience with United. I will go back to Alaska and SW airlines before choosing them again."
