Cons: "The fact that the lack of knowledge regarding international travel visas by the counter staff and supervisor meant that two days of the vacation were lost. Upon arrival in China the 144 hour travel visa was granted with no problem within minutes, but the U.S. staff was completely befuddled by the possibility. The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

I was stuck in the back of the small jet from Minneapolis to Cwa when there were a few open seats in the middle. Disappointed. I won't be choosing Delta in the future!"

Pros: "I trusted Delta to take of my clients; Delta usually did. Rather, the employees of Delta did. Now when I travel, I prefer Delta (when they aren't too much more economically). Let me change that to I used to prefer Delta, because the times, they are achanging. My home airport is Atlanta, I'm usually traveling to Seattle or Portland; Delta is king in those routes. There's more flight time options, and the entertainment available is better."
Cons: "Here's where the picky comes in. I downloaded the 'Go Go" wifi app beforehand. When I tried to connect I received a message that it wasn't available on my routes. Why couldn't they tell me that it might not work on my routes before they took my money? Further, why wasn't it available? It's not like I was going on a multi city/country trip, this was Atlanta to Portland non-stop. Then there's the 'Premier Seating". I opted for it on my outbound flight and received TSA Pre Check. I didn't buy the seating coming back; I did not receive TSA Pre Check. Coincidence? My fare was more than Alaska Airlines was offering it for, I paid for the wifi that didn't work, and in order to avoid the back of the plane, you must pay. So, I guess I'll be going to Alaska Airlines. They don't have as many flights, but I don't feel dinged for more money every time I turn around."

Cons: "After being told there was a mechanical issue with the plane (already nerve-wracking) we waited an hour to receive any additional updates. The flight crew then told us that the flight was "99% canceled." After that, everyone in the area got up to wait in line, but instead of helping people rebook their flights immediately, the flight crew just disappeared and never came back. I ended up re-booking with a different airline and had to call customer service in order to have my money refunded for that flight. I did receive two travel vouchers, but I'd rather just have the $100 because I'll never book with Spirit Airlines again. Not to mention the literal 280 emails I received the exact same email update over and over and over again telling me that my flight was delayed until the next day. That's right, they never canceled (as they should have) and just delayed it further and further. If I had just waited around for updates from the delay, I would have had to spend the night in the airport and miss work the next day (which I already had to do because I had to rebook with another airline). Thank GOD I didn't have any checked luggage or I really would have been screwed."

I was flying to a funeral and there were no other options but to pay money to make it in time for the service then next afternoon. I would have liked to have credit for my next spirit ticket or something because it was a lot to deal with on the way to a funeral."

Cons: "Charges for everything. $55 for a carry-on bag? Come on (fortunately, I had only a small backpack so I didn't have to pay that)! Extra charges if you want a non-random seat. Bullying at the gate ("If you haven't paid the $55 for your carry-on bags by boarding, I'm gonna charge you $100!!!"). Seats seemed even more cramped than usual. I found the whole experience pretty unpleasant and will generally avoid Spirit."

They threatened to kick 6 drunks off the plane before we left Las Vegas for being belligerent, loud, and obnoxious and then the crew proceeded to sell and serve them more alcohol. The crew sat back and did nothing while one drunk passenger antagonized another passenger and his girlfriend nearly the entire flight."

Cons: "This airline charges for everything, the seats are uncomfortable, the tray tables were tiny and dirty, the flight attendants have no idea what is going on, they push the spirit credit card (about a 15 minute pitch over the intercom), we had a five hour layover when other flights were available, and it was only a few dollars cheaper than other airlines. I will never fly with Spirit again."

We had to contact their corporate offices by phone which was a nightmare in itself, and even then they gave us the run around telling us we had to wait 36 hours for the next flight (although legally they are obligated to get us on a flight within 24 hours). You get what you pay for and these budget tickets came with budget customer service."

I spent extra time making sure my bags fit their size and weight requirements. They weighed both checked bags together (mine and my co-traveler) - so the overall weight just had to be under 80#. The plane was newer and very simple. It wasn't a full flight so we had lots of room. Our return flight was much more full and that was when the leg room was tough because we have long legs."

Cons: "Though the crew was friendly, throughout most of the flight the flight attendants gave pitch after financial pitch about the 'Spirit Credit Card' or the 'Spirit Programs'. The trip was nothing more than a big sales pitch to continue investing in the company. I understand that business is business, but this went too far. Furthermore, after one of my flights was cancelled due to weather, I was informed that the soonest Spirit could fly me out would be 3 days later. Understandably, Spirit is a small airline, so I'm sure this was not uncommon. When I asked to be transferred to another airline to leave sooner, I was told that Spirit was not responsible for getting me to my destination any faster. A woman at the 'help desk' then took a leisurely 45 minutes (while my flight was boarding) telling me that buying any other flight would cost me between $2,000-$3,000. Spirit airlines is treating their customers like credit cards to be swiped. The self-centered money-hungry culture throughout Spirit will surely be their downfall if swift action is not taken immediately."

Arrived at airport and attempted to print my boarding pass and recurve notification that my flight was cancelled, however status online was not cancelled. Check my bags at the counter. Still nothing said about cancellation. Was told to print my pass at the kiosk, was told my flight was cancelled again. And it now stated online that it was. Went back to the counter. They had no idea what was going on and tried to tell me it wasn't cancelled. They didn't know how to find out. Then we waited for 15 for another clerk to verify the connection was cancelled. And by that time all flights were rebooked (except us!) and they basically said we could wait in another city for three days or sorry you're out of luck."

This looked like a relatively new aircraft, so the mechanical report seemed puzzling. The missing life vest should have been detected much earlier that morning, since it was the first flight of the day for that aircraft. First morning flights should not take off one hour late....the aircraft was sitting overnight at the airport."

Pros: "Delays, rebookings, more delays, charging for carry on, terrible sign in process online. The literal worst. Will never fly spirit again. Thanks Spirit, for mak non an already stressful time way worse."

Pros: "The service was horrible, well non existent, the fees attacked to everything were ridiculous and the seats were some the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. Please pay the extra 75 to 100 to fligh with a airline that cares about comfort and service."

Cons: "online check-in took time. Difficult to find the dimensions of luggage allowed in cabin. I had to call as I could not find it easily on the web site. Otherwise a very good flight. There is no entertainment and your survey does not support "not applicable" so I just marked "okay" at random."

Cons: "I had to pay $50 for a carry on that every other airline deems as complimentary. No drink including water served unless I pay for it and no cash excepted. Absolutely ridiculous"

Cons: "What a total rip off - I had to $100 for my luggage + $25 for being 10 lbs over weight (the first time in my life) + the seats were very crammed together + they didn't serve any food or drinks and wanted to charge me for a glass of water - I understand that I'm traveling on a cheapo airline but I feel like I got totally shafted on my luggage & oh ya, there are no assigned seating unless you pay... I will never fly with Spirit again."

Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "They charged extra for everything including $3 for water. $55 each way for each carry on bag. I almost expected to have to pay to use the restroom. The spammed is constantly to buy things and promotions, the attendants were rude and loud. I will never fly spirit again even if they paid me to do so. I have flown all over the world, and they are worse than most third world budget airlines. Other airlines were only a few dollars more on ticket, and would have saved me hundreds of dollars overall."

Pros: "I was surprised at the relative comfort I experienced on this flight. Generally it is a very uncomfortable experience. I did not experience the usual discomfort. Perhaps because of decent conversation. I was not hugely uncomfortable as usual."

Cons: "Baggage fees, baggage fees, then more baggage fees! All beverages cost. They wouldn't give me water even, but offered me ice! It was so cold, so the ice wouldn't melt!"

Cons: "I had no idea about the baggage fees or weight limit. Was shocked to have to pay $95"
