Botch my flight going out to Orlando which ultimately required me to travel over 48 hrs with little to now assistances despite it being the airlines fault and me be proactive about the situation

It took over an hour just to unload the plane once it arrived, but every time the gate crew made an announcement it sounded like we'd be boarding in fifteen minutes, so I never felt safe to leave the boarding area. Usually Virgin has headphones available for using their in-flight entertainment system, and I was relying on that since mine broke at the airport. Unfortunately this flight did not have any loaded."

Cons: "There was no beverage or food service till ~2 hrs into the flight. No air issues etc. that would cause a delay. There was only 1 service in a 5.5 hr flight. The previous crew served us beverages at least 2-3 times and carried water up and down. Coming from +90 degree weather everyone is thirsty. I bought food soon as I got on, I have a toddler.. it was delivered over 2 hrs later, luckily I came prepared with lots of snacks. Also there are no hot vegetarian meal purchase options on the flight to Mexcio/Costa Rica (which was the first leg of our trip) we had to make do with cheese/fruit platters."

During the cockpit break, the young handsome pilot flirted with the young beautiful flight attendant who had positioned herself to block access to the forward bathroom. They chatted for what seemed like 10 min, her standing and facing us, him standing directly behind her, also facing us. We felt like we were on a soap opera set. And during the final 30 descent into Seatte, when we from Florida were extremely tired, the two forward flight attendants talked with each other in such load voices that it was impossible to keep reading my book. Admittedly, they were just chatting, but doing so in such a load voice that we could not escape."

Shortly after take-off, my fiancé who was traveling with me, felt the teenager (most likely a minor) directly behind him pushing his seat. My fiancé turned around to ask her to stop. Rather than apologizing and stopping, the teenager immediately began complaining about how my fiancé was encroaching on her space. My fiancé replied that it was well within his rights to lean his seat back. The teenager responded with further complaints. Her comments were out of line and rude. It was clear that she was not satisfied with my fiancé having his seat leaning back. My fiancé eventually put his seat back, and the teenager stopped complaining. We believed that the situation had been resolved, but apparently the teenager was not satisfied. Instead, she went to a flight attendant and lodged a complaint against my fiancé. Rather than hear our side, the flight attendant immediately asked us to move to a different seat. We were forced to move, against our will, to two separate middle seats further forward in the plane. We no longer were able to sit next to each other for the remaining five hours of the flight. And this was all because one particular teenager did not want my fiancé to put his seat back, which he is certainly allowed to do. Overall, the situation was handled poorly. We paid to sit together on a flight, but due to one other passenger's attitude, we were forced to sit in seats that we did not choose apart from one another. The flight attendant should have at least heard our side of the story and offered us an alternative. Instead, we were forced to accommodate another passenger who was in the wrong. Not to mention, throughout this entire process - which lasted about 30 minutes - I was not able to use the GoGo Inflight Internet Package I had just paid for. That was money wasted. The experience was embarrassing, disruptive, and awkward. We love Alaska Airlines, and we are usually pleased with their customer service. However, tonight, the customer service we received did not meet our needs; instead the flight attendant exacerbated the situation and we left our flight feeling frazzled, angry and disappointed."

While I understand there are some delays sometimes, this was the ONLY flight to Greensboro out of DCA, and the times kept changing throughout the day, even though the gate agents knew that the issue was that the crew was delayed. There should be backup crew available and when there are delays, the passengers should be kept informed. There should be other flight options available when this happens. I never received an apology from anyone I encountered throughout the process, and some personnel were rude even though I was polite."

The representative couldn’t help me so i asked to be transferred to a manager, after 2 hours i was transferred and the manager hung the phone up. Long story short i called back spoke to another manager Yana and she was the rudest lady ever! She basically told me for waiting to long i will have to be placed on a flight 2 days after my cancellation flight. I started to cry because i needed to be home and she basically did not care so i took the date. Never again and i will warn everyone about this airline and their customer service!"

Cons: "The flight was delayed so I wasn’t going to be able to make my connecting flight and the airline didn’t even offer to cover my hotel room to stay the night. Terrible service in a very competitive business."
Cons: "Our home was damaged, and we were without power for 6 days due to Hurricane Irma. We called the airlines repeatedly in an effort to cancel the ticket before the flight. They refused to cancel the tickets. Heartless"
Cons: "The aircraft was full and they had a nonworking lavatory. And I asked the flight attendant that the lavatory was broken and he told me no there was somebody in there and he lied."
Cons: "I miss my second leg because of United and had to wait 7 hours for the next plane.... ruined my vacation"
Pros: "The crew was excellent - courteous/aware/friendly. The flight, although 2 hours delayed (9;20pm scheduled departure) was pleasant and smooth. Also, the de-boarding process was surprisingly quick."
Cons: "A 2 hour delay at 9:20pm at night is unfortunate yet frustrating experience, especially when we moved our flight up due to a travel warning for EWR (ironically enough, our originally scheduled flight (1922 MCO-EWR). I'm giving an overall OK (instead of good) due to the fact that there were no snacks (although I did not want anything, it didn't go unnoticed) and although there was free inflight entertainment for personal devices, I feel the passengers should have been given free internet access - in my opinion, it would have been the appropriate thing to do. In any case, this experience doesn't change my positive opinion of United."
Pros: "United took GREAT care of me. I never departed MCO. They feared i would possibly be stuck in Houston until the next afternoon so they put me in hotel and gave me a food voucher to stay in Orlando. I am leaving to catch the first flight to Chicago this morning and make it to my final destination in time for my evening plans in Iowa. They turned a bad situation around for me. I love that"

Cons: "I changed my seat and the seat I chose was very misleading. The pic showed a lot of leg room and when I sat down the leg room was the worst I've ever had in a place. Even the other 2 sitting next to me were surprised at how much leg room was absent!! Horrible flight. My body is all stiff because I couldn't stretch my legs out"

Cons: "United employee working by the kiosk's was rude and totally UN-helpful. Told me to find someone else to help me. So I did and she was great, took a whole minute to do what needed to be done. Said that the rude employee was like that EVERY day w customers. I said, time to get rid of that employee! Then....a fuel spill, then unload people who were on the plane, then talk of cancelling, then ok to start boarding again. Late leaving, late arriving. But...free snack mix and direct tv to apologize. Big deal! Poor management for a monopoly company."

Pros: "Flight attendants were polite, attentive, and responsive. Very friendly, the captain kept us informed if turbulence was expected."
Cons: "The boarding process felt very disorganized, crew checking names with tickets was not very polite, and very curt with us."

Pros: "That the captain kept us informed as much as he knew constantly. Liked that allot. They kept apologizing for the weather delay."
Cons: "When we had to taxi back to the terminal to get more gas and sit there realizing we would be on the plane 5 plus hours instead of 2 1/2 hours, I wish they would have found a way to bring lunches onto the plane for purchase. I think everyone would buy. I brought a few snacks but not much. That would have turned the experience into excellent. They could have sent someone to grab yogurts or packed sandwiches. Would have helped."
Cons: "We paid 160$ to upgrade both of our seats to economy plus for more leg room. Unfortunately, when we got to our seats, we realized our seats could not recline because they were in front of the exit row, which is understandable but we wished it would have warned us of that obstacle when we picked out the seats. I am also 5 months pregnant and so we felt that we paid more for what turned out to be a less comfortable flight."

Cons: "I did not like that they printed my ticket for my connecting flight for EVA Air without any EVA Air markings. This meant that when I arrive at LAX I was giving directions to the United Airlines terminal when I really needed to be at the terminal for Eva Airlines. This caused me to almost missed my flight with Eva Airlines. For the remainder of my trip EVA airline staff were quite grumpy with me for being 45 minutes late boarding. I actually am thankful that I believe they held the plane that 45 minutes for me. It just seems too convenient that the plans out there that long after its scheduled takeoff."
Pros: "It was delayed by over two hours. A friend flying with us was told repeatedly by Silver Airways staff that he would not make it and they would not print him a boarding pass. He went through United and made the flight. United walked down to the Silver desk and printed him a boarding pass and brought it back."
