Pros: "The crew was excellent - they did their best in a bad situation and should be commended for that - they let us get out of the plane after learning after we boarding that we would have to wait 2 hours to take off - they let us get out to go to the bathroom and get something to eat and bring back to the plane - it was very cold in the aircraft and there were not enough blankets to go around - additional blankets should be available - the chips that were served once we took off are not sufficient for passengers that were at the airport 2 hours earlier, experienced a 4 hour delay and still face a 3 hour flight- meal arrangements should be offered when passengers are facing such long delays - the free WIFI was a plus and the seats are comfortable"

I saw this and called them and they instantly moved me to a flight that would leave much earlier at no fee and also gave me Even More Space at no cost! Every time I fly them I remember how great it is. Too bad I don't live by a hub. More EWR flights, please!"

Woman was very gracious and understanding that she was asking for an accommodation. Ends up her flight to Philly had been moved to a different gate after they had found a volunteer to switch seats. Volunteer was totally unfazed but Desk crew made it seem as tho the Muslim mom was at fault for the time and trouble they had had to go through to accommodate her. She apologized profusely and was very appreciative for the trouble evernote had gone to for her. . As she walked away the crew looked at each other and shook their heads. Pretty crummy way to treat customers!"

When boarding, one pass failed scan. They immediately printed another without comment. While in line to board my friend noticed they changed her seat from 4D to 36F. We returned to complain. They said that seat or middle seat in row 29is only choice. I said we paid for upgrade. They said to ask for a refund at LAX when landing at midnight. Asked passenger in 4D when he got his seat assignment - SAME DAY as flight, paid nothing for upgrade. I signed up for frequent flier program two weeks ago. Will be cancelling when card is received."

I understand mechanical problems, but 3 hours later, and on another plane, the captain starts making stuff up, saying that the only reason we hadn't moved in the last hour was because people were using the bathroom, then something about having to deplane because the plane couldn't back up with us on it because of some sensor? And then, surprise ! All of the sudden they noticed there was an issue with his and some of the crews' hours and we had to wait till they could locate more crew. But they gave us each a 1/3 glass of water and later a $12 food voucher which didn't even cover a meal and beverage. Whoop-de-do. 7 hours later we finally boarded for the third and last time. The crew on the other hand stayed professional and friendly."

Cons: "The customer service from AA representitives in the airport was completely unnacceptable and the absolute worst service I have recieved in an airport to date! One incident during this trip was as follows: When arriving in Charlotte and running to catch my connecting flight, I arrived as the lady at the desk was closing the door, she looked at me and rolled her eyes. When I went up to the desk along with the other passengers arriving from the same flight as me the AA representative said "Hurry up , I want to go home!! At a point I'm just going to cut you off and that will be it!" She was of no help to me in anyway amd was forced tonstay the night in charlotte ; Normally this would not have been such a big deal, However I am on emergency leave from the Navy rushing home because I have a very serious family emergency, that representitive was very lucky I held my temper! From now on thanks to the poor unproffessional customer service I received I will no longer be flying American Airlines!"

Then finally we start moving, the plane is uncomfortably hot even with the air blowing on me, the flight attendants look like they hate their life, it was honestly horrible and I will never fly with American Airlines EVER again."

I have a small purse I had gotten out of my backpack to get my boarding pass that she insisted I put back in my backpack before loading. I understand the concept and reason for the request but the manner in which she did it was so uncalled for. I don't recal a time in which I've been spoken to in that manner in a very long time. While I was doing it (it took literally 5 seconds), she was screaming at me to walk over to the side and lose my place in line. After I quickly put it in she screams it must go in all the way, which it was. There wasn't even a bulge from it and it closed with ease. I'd be happy to provide a picture of my small backpack/purse."

Cons: "The staff talked to me in a condescending voice. First flight I called the airlines and asked simple questions on what time we should be there and the process. Then we get there by said time and they said she missed her flight. Keep in mind I have a one hour each way drive to lax. Came the next day 3 hours early to stay in the line 3.5 hours and the line was short! They let people cut us left and right and the staff was rude on the phone and there. I lost ANOTHER work day dealing with them. They said she was on standby for next flight 3 hours later only to get to the gate and they said they NEVER EVEN PUT HER ON THE LIST. then she got put on the next flight 3 hours later to get told it was a full flight and so she waited another 3 hour flight and finally got on... on top of the stress I went through, the work I missed out on, the drive and gas it took to get there, her first day of her Job was the next day after that mayhem! It was absolute chaos. I can honestly say I hate that American airlines and I don't think it's right. The person next to us also had a horrible experience with them in the line next to us. She missed her best friends wedding due to three disorganization and horrible service.... SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A BRIDESMAID!!! I wrote the company.... but I expect no return or respect from them if I can't even get that from their condescending customer service "manager" ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!"

Cons: "I missed my original connecting flight in EWR because there was no gate available when we landed. After waiting several minutes, we taxiied to a different gate. I called customer service to let them know we were on the ground waiting for a gate assignment. Despite this, the flight boarded and left with several people missing the connection even though that flight pushed back later than its original time and departed almost an hour late. The plane was sitting there with the door closed. After that, I was put on the next available flight which was already delayed more than 2 hours. That delay extended even longer and was eventually cancelled due to weather. United CS reps were not willing to address passenger concerns. They closed the CS area in some portions of the airport forcing everyone to a very limited number of reps. I ended up having to rent a car and spending the first 5 hours of my birthday driving home. I should have been able to make my connecting flight and would have avoided the entire mess. Instead, I am out of my ticket price plus the additional cost of renting a car since my changed flight was cancelled due to weather not the gate assignment changes that originally caused me to miss the connection. What should have been a brief 4-5 hour trip ended up being almost a 20 hour day....United absolutely SUCKS!"

On a side note many things could be improved by offering free checked baggage and charge for overhead bins.... so many delays, arguments and general aggravation caused by people struggling for overhead bin space... just have a guaranteed spot overhead for a fee.... no more aggravation period... when they started charging for checked bags but offered free carry on the problems got worse... flip it around and several problems go away... simple."

Before landing there was about 15 other planes waiting to reach their gates, but none were open because of lack of communication. We sat on the plane for an extra hour or so, with our seatbelts on, and moving no where. Just extra stress and frustration added to the flight."

Cons: "The seats were miniature, you dont get any food/snack included, it took 1 hour to get our baggage, it took 49 minutes to get off of the plane, the pilots were late on the flight there, the plane was delayed 1.5 hours on the way back, you have to not only pay for the flight but then you have to also pay for your seat. I will never fly frontier again."

Cons: "Not the airlines fault, but a bird strike made them switch out our plane for another. Good idea, but the announcements kept saying we were 15-20 minutes away from boarding, but the same 15-20 minutes about three times in a row. We left about an hour late. I would prefer it if you were just straight with us the first time. "Ladies and Gentleman, it will be about an hour. Our new boarding time is XX. Be back here by then and we won't leave without you." Also, the desk crew should have asked the passengers to have a seat instead of standing and blocking the area. People were trying to get by and it was difficult. Also, on a completely different topic, healthier snack choices would be appreciated."

Cons: "They re-directed our flight and didn't land it and didn't bother to announce it over the PA system. Everyone thought we were going to crash or something bad was happening since they were not communicating at all. The emergency exit lights even went on and the stewardess didn't bother to announce anything to us. It was seriously the WORST flight and service I have ever been on."

Cons: "All the passengers and crew had to wait in Trenton while one man gave a half hearted effort to clear snow and ice from the passenger ramp. We would have been there for two hours if I had not spoken up. Once I did, they brought a replacement ramp that did not have snow on it. It is not nice to advertise to us about your credit card on a loudspeaker that is supposed to be used for safety and emergency announcements. You wake us up to hear an ad??!!"

Yes you guys charge for everything and the planes are old and not much seat leg room, but its expected based on the price! Over all a great flight for our money! We had the same experience on our round trip to FL!"

Cons: "crowded seats, no room for my knees, since the kids behind us had little room they were constantly kicking our seats and crying, the aisles were too narrow, the seats were uncomfortable, we did not understand that we had to pay an extra chg for our seats which should be part of the original charge (that's ridiculous!), had to pay an unbelievable extra chg for something to drink, and then if that wasn't bad enough, we had to wait for over an hour for our luggage! Never again will we book Frontier!"

Pros: "Frontier is inexpensive for a reason. They offer zero perks and charge for everything in addition to you simply sitting on the flight. Extra costs: baggage, a carry on, anything but water on the flight costs money, selecting a seat assignment costs money, no movies or TV on the flight, etc. You want to keep it cheap? Fly with them but expect zero additional comforts."

Cons: "They delayed twice then cancelled only offered another flight that left two days later. would not transfer to another airline. I ask for a refund so I could go to another airline and they said I had to wait seven working days. All other airlines were twice as much. Airline would not do anything else but two offers 1 a flight two days later or a refund five days later."

Cons: "Flight was cancelled at 2 am. Was told flight was on time at 855 pm. Was then delayed to 11:30. I am not receiving flight compensation emails at this time. This was horrible. The voucher they gave us for a hotel did not work. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE."

Cons: "The seating was horrible. In their defense I'm 6 foot three 230 pounds. However, the seats were like rumble seat with a thin cushion on them that did not move."

Pros: "The price of the ticket. We always take a checked bag and never a carryon so that charge didn't matter to us. No problems with check in and flights were right on schedule. Already booked another flight to same destination."

Cons: "Surprise! You went through the effort to pack 4 days of clothes in a carry on to expedite your travel through connections. What you didn't know is you'll be penalized anyway, to the tune of $40. Some airlines offer the courtesy of telling you there's a fee, and allow you to prepay a reduced fee. So, what's up Frontier?"

Pros: "Cheap fare"
Cons: "The remodeled interior puts the seats closer together from front to back and don't recline. That also limits the size of the tray table, which is tiny. Even as a tiny, short person, it was uncomfortable. For anyone of normal stature it would be torture. Paying for a "better" seat appears to provide very little if any added benefit, just keeps your party together. There is no entertainment, movies, music, or wifi so bring your battery pack charger. There is only expensive junk food to eat. My only option on my coast to coast flight was a red eye. So you arrived just wiped out. So if you do this to save money, in my overall assessment, it's just not worth it. I'll never do it again."

Pros: "We had the nicest stewardess that I think I've ever had."
Cons: "The checkin lines were extremely long despite pre-checking."

Then I noticed on my seat a soiled stain on the seat which looked like a bodily fluid. The flight attendant immediately cleaned it up with some wet napkins. But I'd suggest next time that they wear gloves and disinfectant sprays when there are stains on the seats because you don't know what it is."

Cons: "They charge you for everything including water for three dollars. Their baggage has a maximum weight of 40 pounds unlike any other airline. They make you pay for carry-ons. They make you pay to pick your seat. You have to pay extra for everything so the bottom line is spirit is probably the most expensive airline to fly. The seats are tiny the trays are tiny, they don’t have TVs, seats do not recline. First and last time Flying with them. My bags were 42 pounds and 46 pounds and I had to pay and additional $30 for each of them."

Pros: "Nothing, I am so disappointed, my reason for going to New Jersey was to say goodbye to my Father, the doctors at the VA Hospital Brooklyn told me that my Father is dying. I am here in Houston Texas while my Father is dying in Brooklyn, N.Y. My heart is hurting."

Cons: "It's more about the airline than anything else. The cost of the checked bag should be included in the fare price. Because I couldn't log into my account online prior to check-in, I ended up paying $52 each way for my bag. As far as the aircraft itself, I found the seats and leg room space to be smaller than other airlines."

Pros: "Crew was kind, after some coaxing waited for a family member of a fellow passenger who wandered too far from gate to make it back in 10 minutes."
Cons: "Need updates and alerts on delayed flight!! I was checking my phone every 15 minutes from the restaurant next to the gate, reloading the status page, and the status that it changed from delayed two hours to taking off now happened within a 10 minute window. Next thing I know they are calling for final boarding, last call, even though half the flight didn't make it there yet because they didn't update that the delay was cancelled until minutes before boarding. I understand we all need to take off ASAP, but they've got to understand if everyone was standing at the gate, there would be no room to stand so we all disperse and know we can check our smartphones for updates."

Flight was clearly overbooked, which seems to be their scam, and the service was rude. Tickets were cheap for a reason. Flown with other budget airlines and weren't chaotic or disorganized like this garbage airline. Rather take United and get punched in the face"

Cons: "The flight home was a disaster. The crew timed out and we didn't get off the ground until 4 hours later. Horrible, no advice from the crew we were boarded and they just got up and left no one knew what was going on. A Spirit rep advised us we would have to de-plane and they had to get another crew in. Not a good way to make and keep customers. It was my first time with Spirit and probably my last. If you don't know what your crew is doing how do you run an airline."

I will NEVER fly Spirit again because of all their extra fees. So not worth it, especially when you're packed into the plane like sardines."

Cons: "So terrible, me and my flying mate were booted off the plane because they "downgraded" the plane to a smaller plane. The plane essentially became over booked. They claimed we were chosen because we checked in last but we had checked in and even bought more expensive seat assignments a day earlier. Now I have these Spitit airlines flight vouchers as compensation that I don't even want to use. The small silver lining in this debcole is that they booked me a flight with a different airline."

Pros: "Good service and staff worked with a smile."
Cons: "The website is not the easiest to navigate. I don't like the look...not very professional. The ads boast of the airlines low cost but it Nichols and dimes you for every little thing. I wasn't happy that when I did the early check in the day before departure it offered me to get bumped up to Zone 2 so we would get seated first and have first access to the overhead bin. I purchased it for about $20 but on the way to West Palm they called both zones to get up to board the plane and for the return trip to Boston, Zone 1 got called first to board. This was money spent for nothing....like a donation. the bottom line is that what we spent with Spirit was not less expensive than other airlines. By the time you add all extra fees, there are no savings."

Cons: "Being charged for every little thing from literally the time we checked in to the water on the flight. For all money "saved" initially we were charged for everything along the way to the point where we ended up spending close to what we would've paid on a legacy carrier"

Cons: "Everything else about your airline is complete and utter garbage. Turbulence was out of control, people were dropping like flies, without a single announcement."

Cons: "It was a terrible experience!!! Stinky way to end a vacation!! From the moment we entered the terminal, SPIRIT handled everything poorly. They had 5 agents working to handle 5-6hundred passengers. There was only one agent walking the floor answering questions. He was nice enough to me but in his frustration, he was very rude to other passengers. People were getting nervous that their planes were boarding and they still hadn't checked their bags. This caused people to try and cut in front of other people in line and of course those passengers became angry. After finally getting through that mess, we got to our gate in a different terminal (which was also confusing because our boarding pass said terminal 3 which we went to first only to find out that we needed to go to Terminal 4 to check in and then walk over to terminal 3 to board). Once we boarded the plane they told us that the computer system was down so they could not put in their flight planes so they let us off the plane. We re-boarded the plane and finally landed home around 2:00 in the morning. By the time we got our luggage and drove home (20 minutes) it was 3:15. Overall Stinky!!!!!"

Cons: "We were delayed by a few hours in West Palm due to maintenance. What was unfortunate was that the updates on the delays weren't announced to us until we were already supposed to be taking off. They could have been more proactive in their updates. Also, they mentioned they were sending out $50 vouchers for the delays via email but I did not receive that either."

Pros: "The flight itself was not bad. The crew were good."
Cons: "Trying to check my bag. I did everything a head of time and then still had to wait in the line with everyone who was checking in. They need to separate the drop off from the check in. They were so unorganized they had to open special lines for specific flights because they were behind. I got to the airport 2 1/2 hours ahead of time because I had to drop off my rental car. I spent almost 2 hours just trying to "drop" my bag. My wife and I have decided not to use Spirit ever again."

Cons: "I will never fly Spirit again. I knew from one previous experience that they were the pits regarding seat room; but I never figured they were theives They never sent a confirmation of ticket. THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO HUMAN BEING TO SPEAK WITH IN PERSON on their telephone contact number, no matter what button you push. The transaction didn't post on my credit card, so I assumed it did not go through. I bought another ticket. Five days later they put both tickets through. that's it I am done with this cluster F$%K airline."

Cons: "Hostage me for $55 carry on baggage which is free elsewhere is robbery. Even not a free bottle of water in four hours flight makes Spirit very poor and cheap airline."

Pros: "I was lucky in getting a seat at the front of the plance (4A) which was more comfortable that my previous flights where I sat more to the rear where there was less leg room. the departure was on time and the flight was very comfortable. courteous staff"
Cons: "my check on luggage cost $50 where I expected to pay $25. I now know to create an account for myself if making travel plans directly with Spirit."
