Pros: "I have never seen a gate attendant call each person by name as she scanned their boarding passes! At Delta I felt welcomed by every employee. Even the pilots greeted the passengers as they exited. All the other airlines just want my money, they want to cram me into smaller and smaller spaces and want me to sit there and shut up so they don't have to interact with me. I will fly Delta every chance I get, even if I have to pay more money."

For someone of my height (5’5”) that was problematic. Fortunately another passenger saw my dilemma and held the bin lower to its full opening capacity. This also momentarily slowed down the boarding process."

The flight attendant was so rude on this trip. It was like she was absolutely offended by my presence. I barely even spoke to her except to make sure of my vegetarian tray to which I got the nasty reply "You'll have to wait because I don't have it with me now". If I wasn't so focused on sleeping as much as I could I would have written her name down. No complimentary cocktails for Preferred Seating? Seriously? What did I upgrade for exactly? Literally four inches of space? Late, rude, money sucking industry who holds no accountability for wrong doings. Don't get into the Health Industry.. you'll kill people with this flippant attitude. Bleh.. I doubt I'll fly with Delta again. The thought of having to do so turns my stomach."

Many hours delayed, no social distancing, no prioritization for individuals and families that had connecting flights and therefore over a hundred people lost their flights and were told they had to wait over two days for the next flight without vouchers for food or hotel. It was embarrassing, to say the least. There needs to be better organization so people with connecting flights can be prioritized and seen before to avoid such an awful situation."

Cons: "They quote one price for checked baggage if you pay when the ticket is purchased, another if you pay before check-in, and a third price if you purchase at check-in. When I purchased my tickets through KAYAK, I was not offered an option to pay for a bag. When I paid for the bag a full day before I checked in, I was charged the full price with no other options available - in other words, THEY LIED. I emailed a question to their customer service address; it went unacknowledged and unanswered. The flight itself went OK, but the seats don't recline at all, there is very little knee or elbow room, and the padding is the worst I have experienced. If you are larger than average or have knee or back problems, expect to be in torment. They charge for EVERYTHING, even plain water. After paying full price for my checked bags, the savings for the flight over other carriers was simply not worth the discomfort."

Cons: "Smallest seats I have ever had on a plane. Was cramped even though My boyfriend and I are both pretty small. The first airline I've flown that doesn't even offer tea or juice without a charge. We missed our first flight coming in, they didn't allow us to receive credit or a refund for the checked baggage fee we paid even though we didn't end up flying with them for that flight and said that it would cost us $100 to reschedule our flight to the next day (we ended up purchasing a same day flight with Alaska instead) Ground level staff was rude and unhelpful despite us being very polite and understanding of their policies. Spirit will charge you for EVERYTHING. By the time you've completed your flight, its possible to have paid double of the initial ticket charge. First time I have ever had such a poor airline experience."

One staff memeber checks your name, another one asks to attach name tag to luggage, another one has a questionnaire for suitcase asking for items in it, this is all before even checking in!! At the gate before boarding there's another huge line because again one staff memeber checks for boarding pass, another checks passport, another one goes through bags and then check in to board plane. Have to buy any food you want to consume, not even water for free."

Flight back connecting flight was cancelled, and they couldn't get us to Detroit for 36 hours. They had cancelled the flight before to Detroit also, so they had 2 planes worth of people to deal with. On all flights the seats were hard as boards and packed so tight you couldn't straighten a leg or take a deep breath withou pushing against your neighbor. Meal vouchers were only good at the airport and only 3 meals in 37 hours and only $7 per meal...at airport prices. NEVER EVER again."

Upon arriving in Florida- Spirit staff was rude, would not answer questions, provide info, or help us get on new flights- we were only put standby and as more and more flights were cancelled without reason- I was told I would be stuck in Florida for 36 hours. I had to buy a ticket on another airline to get home after waiting 14 hours for Spirit to help. I was so upset, missed work, tired, and overall let down with their lack of compassion or even kind concern for the issues."

I also had to wait in line again after my redeye to recheck my bag, which apparently wasn't necessary. Would have been nice to know because I almost missed my connecting flight. Basically will never use this airline again"

Cons: "None of their kiosks worked so I had to stand in line for almost an hour just to get my boarding pass. This almost made me miss my flight & they were telling me their horrible and expensive process for resolving that because when I called them from a very long security line, they told me the flight was on time & the doors had already been closed. Fortunately, not only were they wrong, I didn't listen to them & kept going to the gate where I then had to wait 20 minutes for boarding to begin. Then they charged me $55 for my carry on bag which you either didn't disclose or hid in the small print somewhere. Not an exciting first experience with you or them. Misleading all the way around, no motivation to fly with Spirit again or use Kayak again. Deeply disappointing."

Staff on board the plane, including the pilot, were extremely courteous however, despite the unfortunate delays. I understand delays happen, but my flights in both directions experienced long delays and, combined with the behavior of the ticketing agent especially, I am not inclined to fly this airline again."
