People for different flights where in the same room and did not understand this which gave problems at the boarding pass counter control. There is lots of room for improvement. No meals on Jetblue, even on international flights. All other airlines from US to LIma have meal service. No entertainment on international flights All other airlines from US have movies, games or free onboard WIFI. Seats have very little recline so your head falls forward if you try to relax. The headrest is not adjustable for height or side to side support. The benefit of having extra leg room is offset by the fact that you have to bring pillows, blankets, food and entertainment. The value is not there. The rates I paid were comparable to other US airlines flying the same route."

Cons: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, we arrived at the Lima, Peru airport only a little over an hour before our flight. We immediately proceeded to look for the Copa Airlines check-in desk. We walked up and down the check-in area a couple of times, but couldn't find Copa anywhere. The monitor listing the departures had the counter numbers for Copa listed, but there was no one there. Eventually an airport employee told us where to find the Copa offices on the second floor. We arrived at the office 40 minutes before our scheduled departure. Someone in that office could have easily attended to our bags and walked us to our gate. Instead they fiddled with their computers trying to put us another flight. They left us standing there for over a half an hour with absolutely no explanation as to what was going on. Eventually someone came over and said we would have to call the operations center and rebook our flights at a cost of $1500 each. Why they would abandon their check-in desk an hour before the flight departs knowing that there were people on that flight that had not checked in, is a total mystery to me. That coupled with the fact that they could not have cared less about us making our flight makes me sick!! What a joke!! No one I know will ever ever fly Copa airlines again!!!"

Cons: "The staff were pushy and rude to me when they told me at the gate, when I was about to board, that I could not have a backpack and small purse. This is not what I understood when booking and is not clearly explained at the time of purchase. One attendant at the gate in particular was forceful and rude when insisting that I pay over $66 in cash at a moment when going to the ATM would mean potentially missing boarding and not arriving back in time to the gate. This process, which I agreed to because two staff members gave me the impression that I could not travel on the flight unless I paid right there instantly in CASH (completely ridiculous), caused me anxiety and took a long time, too long given the urgency of boarding the flight. I had to wait for change for 5 minutes and as a result, I was the last one to board. It should be noted that this process of paying for a maleta in hand at the gate had been preceded by having to pay over $20 in cash to print a boarding pass, which required another ATM withdrawal and fee. This is a weak and predatory business model, which seeks to exploit people’s need to travel and their anxiety. This was carried out in a completely unprofessional and manipulative manner by the staff members. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and exploitative."

You have to print one from home or use an internet cafe at the airport that charges $6 to print a single sheet of paper. They jam your carry on bag into a small box. Boarding took longer than the flight! The seats are incredibly cramped yet they recline all the way back, so you're likely to have someone in your lap for the entire trip. Absolutely horrible. Nothing like other high quality discount airlines such as Air Asia which at least treat you like a human being."

I had to withdraw money at an ATM with its associated fees just so I could pay this so called entry tax that neither I or anybody else seems to heard of and, even though I'm an Australian citizen, and we don't need a visa to enter colombia. I flew with VivaColombia twice, the first time I received a boarding pass with I printed out, but for my second flight, I never received a boarding pass email, just an email that said online check-in is not available for this flight and to print attached eticket and take it to the check-in counter at the airport, when I did this they asked for around $10usd to print out my boarding pass."
