All travelers, 2 years of age or older (including US citizens and transit passenger) must present a negative COVID-19 viral or antigen test result issued 72 hours prior to departure or have a proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days prior to boarding the plane.
Travelers must complete a disclosure and attestation form before departure.
Exemptions or waiver to the testing requirements may be granted by the CDC on an extremely limited basis when emergency travel (like an emergency medical evacuation) must occur to preserve someone’s life, health against a serious danger, or physical safety and testing cannot be completed before travel.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.

Instead, passengers with children were waiting in the rain while the staff shoddily loaded the poor woman (in the rain without so much as a raincoat) into the aircraft, and with no apology to her or the now soaking wet passengers."

This caused me a 30 minute delay at baggage claim and some minor scuffs on an item that wasn’t designed for checking in. These are 2 reasons why I no longer check in. 3 is lost items."

Cons: "I had to pay an extra $100 for my wife and I to sit in exit row seating. I just don’t understand why airlines don’t provide proper leg room. I understand profitability, but it is certainly is uncomfortable for me at 6’5”."
Pros: "Nobody bugged me about plugging my laptop and cellphone into the wall for charging. I wanted to check out the spice shops in the airport but they were closed both times I was there. That would have been something I might have liked."
Cons: "Customs in Trinidad, even for transit is a pain. You go through customs, get dumped outside, have to recheck your luggage whenever the counter decides its going to open. 11 hour layover on the way down, 6 hour layover on the way up. Food options were fried chicken (KFC), fried chicken (Churches), fried chicken (the local franchise), and Subway. Since the layover was late at night and I was a woman traveling alone, I did not want to leave the airport (and still drag my luggage because the airline counter was not open yet to check in to my connecting flight)."

Insisted I check my carryon, for the reason the flight is full name note I was the second to last person to boaRd the plane. I explained to him I had a shoetc connection to MIA and then to Frankfurter so I did not take any other luggage so I would not haveto wait. He insisted I will get my luggage as soon as I exit the plane in Houston, which I asked him 3 times . The plane was not full there were more than 10 empty seats and lots of luggage space.I got to Houstonew to be told I would have to go the the luggage belt to pick up my bag, which did not appear for half an hour after we landed. I was truly disgusted"
Cons: "I don't fully understand why, but I was unable to get my boarding pass for my flight to Chicago from Toronto until I arrived in the Toronto airport. Toronto airport sequesters off international arrivals, so in an ideal world, I would have been able to go through security directly to into the U.S. terminal, bypassing Canada customs. However, the United desk that I needed to get my boarding pass from located just before security was unmanned. The very kind Air Canada attendant called for a representative multiple times, but after 45 minutes of waiting no one ever arrived to print my boarding pass for me. The Air Canada employee then gave up on any United staff showing up and suggested I try going through Canadian customs and checking in at the same departure desk travelers first entering the airport would go through and make sure to let them know how long I was waiting. The United employee I spoke with told me that I was impatient and should have continued waiting because now she didn't know what would happen with my checked bag and that I may well need to wait 2 hours more for that to get sorted out. I was rather surprised by her overly negative response and apparent threat. If I was irate or yelling that might have been warranted, but frankly, I was so tired from the international travel I didn't have the energy to fight with her. Regardless, I wish I had been more impatient, it was far easier to go through customs twice than I expected. I would have preferred to spend more time in the lounge inside the terminal than to stand by the United desk waiting for someone to arrive to print my boarding pass. At any rate, Canadian+US customs have it together; when I went through U.S. customs to get into the terminal they had the photo of my checked bag right there."

I was highly upset and that was unfair. Long story short, at boarding they were able to give me a seat. I should have never went through that stress if I had a confirmed purchased ticket from the beginning."

Cons: "United is a pretty decent airline. What they probably DON'T have control over is so many children on a flight. I understand that, but honestly the flight to Houston sucked with whiny kids. What they CAN control is the overbooking of flights. I notice that the flights to LA are often overbooked. It's a bit annoying when waiting to board a flight and constantly seeing the overbooked notification asking people to volunteer their seat. It's not the first time."

And, as far as airlines go, comfort should've been 5 stars, but I really could have used a back pillow. Or even a back pillow option (had I asked an attendant - all of whom were awesome). PS. Kayak's regular emails kept me unusually updated on flight progress and their communication was the main factor in my decision to complete this survey."

Cons: "I purchased a return ticket from Port of Spain, Trinidad to Newark, NJ with United. I also purchased the insurance on this flight because it's good sense to be prepared. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the flight because of medical reasons and had to cancel. When I called United to purchase a new ticket, they were charging me a $200 rebooking fee plus a $30 processing fee. That's almost the price of the ticket! This is an absolutely horrible policy and very unfair. I had to rebook a new ticket with JetBlue which is 100% better, reasonable and understanding than United. Not to mention I lost the credit with united because with the rebooking and processing fee, it's almost the same price as the ticket. Because of this atrocious experience, United will never get my business again."
Pros: "She was very understanding to my 37 minute layover in Denver and upgraded me to seat row 11 from seat row 31 to make sure I could get off the plane quicker. Very much appreciated and why I always fly United with my MilagePlus card. I had been on vacation for a week and had to be at work the next day."

Pros: "Regardless of product, the 787 is by far the most comfortable aircraft in the sky. Obviously you can't compare UA Economy to EY's "Residence" on the 380, but once you're comparing similar products across different aircraft, the 787 blows all the others out of the water. This is because of the higher cabin pressure, higher cabin humidity, and relatively enormous windows at eye level. Even UA can't ruin the 787 experience with their snippy staff (I almost found myself apologizing for asking for the little bag of snack mix that I missed out on because I was snoozing when they first came around) and ear-splitting announcements. The flight was delayed due to a mechanical, and the staff at NRT was very helpful in getting us to where we needed to be."
Cons: "The plane had a mechanical issue that they had to sort out after we pushed back. This was not so bad, but they changed their minds about whether we would take the original plane or switch to a second 787 that had flown in on NRT-DEN so many times I lost count. This is why I gave the "boarding" process poor marks--please just figure out whether we need to get off (we didn't need to, but did anyway) and whether we are going to switch to another aircraft before letting everyone off. The staff at NRT failed to consider moving the DEN-HKG passengers to a ET NRT-HKG flight (which surely had available seats) that was parked next door. Instead, we were all put on a HND-HKG flight leaving about five hours later than the ET flight."
Cons: "Original flight was cancelled the night before due to aircraft maintenance. Then too find out that United was only flying 1 plane per day from POS but when purchasing the ticket its listing multiple flights is TERRIBLE. The unorganized, under staffed situation in the airport that had NO answers or explanations for people was TERRIBLE. Once on a rescheduled flight having to sit on a plane for nearly 3hrs due to the flight being completely full with passenager and baggage that the required amount of fuel couldnt be added other wise we would have been over weight, not having enough lunches and beverages for all passenagers, missing my connecting flight and also having my luggage left behind and having to wait another day to recieve it. I was in the airport from 430am and didnt make it home to CLE until 10pm......ABSOLUTLYTERRIBLE!!!"
