Cons: "A full flight in the midst of a pandemic. Totally unsafe! Safety first in the air and closed space vs how many you can pack in during a pandemic. Disgraceful! I have tried to avoid AA due to how they handle flying right now , I couldn’t today and they were just as bad as I imagined. Delta was so much safer and more protective of its customers . 50-60% full by design . Fly them and learn something."
Cons: "Fog in Philly. AA should have diverted our plane to a bigger airport where AA could have serviced us (eg. Washington DC). Instead AA diverted us to Salibury/Ocean City!! We missed our connections."

Pros: "The people I spoke to on the customer service line and then especially at the service desk in Miami were able to help me get a sooner flight so I didn’t have to be driving home until the wee morning. I am VERY grateful to them and American Airlines policies which empower its employees to assist its customers."
Cons: "There seemed to be some passive aggressiveness present on the flight to Houston. Passengers seemed to be defying in small ways orders from the staff, standing etc. The staff responded quite severely in my opinion, repeating the safety video to everyone’s annoyance because some passengers were talking out loud."

Pros: "The flight was a one way to PDX and felt fast and not exhausting coming from LHR. First time flying direct. Great food and snacks the staff took care of us. Bathrooms were cleaned over the trip which was great!"

Cons: "Only one plane really gave me a bad experience. The plane was pretty old and cramped and the crew was very rude. Maybe they were having a bad day or didn't want to be in the old plane either, but their performance was bad. One of the attendants, I think his name was Juju, asked me is a soft voice if I would like a drink. With the engines roaring in the background I thought he asked have you been served a drink? I responded "No, I have not." And he started off serving everyone else. I had to call him and asked if he was skipping me and he replied "I asked you if you wanted a drink and you said No!" I explained the engines were loud and I mistaken his words and with an attitude he served me a drink. For the whole 9hr flight I avoided him at all cost and just responded to the other attendants. The other attendants seemed annoyed and would roll their eyes or make a face when people would try to pass them on the aisle, but I in their defense, they were moving a large cart in a small aisle. Passengers should have waited until the aisle was clear before moving. That was my only issue. The next flight was better with no problems."

Cons: "When first boarding the plane, the person I was with tried to close the shade on the window, the with frame and the first 2 pieces of glass popped out. We notified the flight attendant and his response was "can you stick your arm out the window and wave? No... ok you're fine" then we were notified the bathrooms in the middle of the plane were out of order and we could only use the bathrooms at the rear of the plane. There was no WiFi, and the audio system for the on board movies wasn't working. The flight attendants were only giving out cups of beverages and not the full can, which isnt a big deal but still looks bad on the airline considering everywhere flight with American has handed out full cans of soda. The perception was American dropped the ball on the his plane, and just didn't care to do the necessary maintenance. For the his head priced paid for the his hehe see tickets I would've expected better from a reputable airline. Needless to say we were a little disappointed."

Cons: "Airline did not notify us that as of 10-15-16 the Samsung Note 7 phone could not be bought on the plane. Because my sister Phillip Mae had a meeting at 10am in Greensboro, N.C. she was forced to give her phone to American Airline."
Pros: "My 17 year old daughter flew American Airlines to attend a wedding. She recently had spinal surgery and is not able to lift more than 5lbs. After being assured by the airline that staff would help her with her carryon luggage, she was abandoned and ignored by both flight attendants. Each flight attendant referred het to the next, so she is walking back and forth tor their amusement. Tears rolling down her face, finally an elderly passenger helped her. Then the staff gave her attitude the entire flight. She may appear healthy, but she was cut from her neck to her waist and had two rods inserted along with bone grafts. I just cannot believe how awful she was treated."

Cons: "My son and I were scheduled to leave Providence to Philadelphia on Monday at 6:05. Flight went through a series of delays until we were finally informed that our flight would not make the flight departing Philly to SF. Rather than fly to Philly during the DNC, we decided to SPEND ANOTHER NIGHT IN PROVIDENCE and take the flight out the next day. This part of the trip caused me to lose a day of work and spend more money on a hotel and meals. This was very poor planning on your part since there were flights flying in and out of both places, but your company was short one aircraft that would have gotten my son and I home on time!!! This was my last flight on American Airlines and I will be sure to spread the word to my friends and family that you have become too unreliable!!"
Pros: "The plane broke in D.C. I had to rent a car to finish the last leg of my trip. They probably won't reimbursement me for either. I try never to book with AA, but it was last minute and I didn't have a choice."
