Cons: "1) not that alaska does any worse than others, but boarding is increasingly unpleasant. 5 grades of 'rewards' groups boards, then children, then military, then the elderly, etc. by the time people who paid full fair for their tickets board there's no overhead space left. by charging for any checked bags, the airlines are creating a very stressful and disorganized boarding experience; 2) the ambiance is just dull: cheesy music, dull, grey colors, poor lighting, etc. it just feels as if you're in a space designed by someone with no taste--and this is from the company that bought and killed virgin!? 3) the food is the same cheese plate and tapas plate i get on other airlines. 4) no special greeting upon boarding. it wouldn't take much to make the entire experience pleasant, but alaska and others don't feel the need to make the effort."

Cons: "where do I start....seats are incredibly close together and once the passenger reclines their seat, it is actually painful. I don't consider myself overly tall or large at 5'10" and 190 pounds, yet I did not have circulation in my legs for nearly the entire flight. The pilot indicated that flight would be only 9 1/2 hours and ended up being 14.5 hours due to a maintenance issue that required us to make a stop in Anchorage. Pilot said it would only take 30-40 minutes to repair (supplemental oxygen bottle was apparently empty) and after 3 1/2hrs I think we were finally airborne, only to be delayed an additional 45 minutes or so upon landing because our gate was occupied by another plane. So what, they can't find another gate to use? The whole flight there was also delayed for an unexpected stop in Anchorage to get more fuel for the flight. Did they not complete proper flight planning? I'm a pilot and I know you can check winds aloft and plan your route with ample fuel for emergencies. So did this pilot not properly plan for the flight? I can go on and on about why I won't be flying with Delta for a long long time....so the 5,000 air miles they gave me as a courtesy for putting me through so much pain...well those extra miles are useless to me. How about refunding me the cost of my horrible flight?"

Cons: "The redesign of seats means that very few of Delta's planes can actually accommodate a sherpa-style pet carrier, even though they are an industry standard for in-cabin travel. Further complicating the problem is that the clearance under the seat varies depending where in the cabin you're seated. It's become an extremely stressful proposition for which I have the privilege of paying an extra +$100 each way whilst having to give up one of my carry ons. As far as I can see, the charge is just straight up greed, since no one would be able to use the space beneath the seat in front of me, anyway, and carrying on my cat cause zero extra work for the crew. I'm going to have rethink my loyalty to Delta. At least with Southwest, they'll let me check two bags for no additional cost."

Cons: "On flights 0204 & 1687 on 9/21/16---there were no blankets available for comfort. I would expect this since I paid extra for the delta comfort seats. Not very nice☹️ Only Chardonnay & Merlot wines were available. if you're going to carry two full bodied wines then you should carry two light wines as well. For example a Riesling or Pinot noir. I could not drink either of the wines delta carried. Furthermore, I tend to eat low carb & sugar snacks. All the snacks offered were high in carbs except the peanut packs. Delta only had one peanut pack on board. They had many pretzels , bananas & yogurt bars which were high sugar & carbs! Try carrying some Greek plain yogurt & unsweetened vanilla almond milk. TY for your attention."

I am a very petite woman, and so when I carry a normal size bag, it can look large by comparison to my body. Further, the flight was 1/3 empty and had plenty of overhead space even once the plane was completely boarded. I am sorely offended based on the discrimination I suggested simply because I am short of stature."

I waited in line for 2 hours to get on another flight home and the attendant first suggested to fly me to Charlotte then Cleveland where I would arrive a day late after I'd been traveling with my elderly parents for 24 hours. Additionally, once we changed flights and had to go to Newark, it took an hour to print (yes, print) our new itineraries for United and then when the cab should have arrived immediately, we waited 45 minutes. I was displeased."

Cons: "Plane was old. NO in-seat power, no USB chargers, no in-seat entertainment. TV monitors in the aisles? Is this the 1990s? One crappy movie? The "headsets" are a joke. Too many announcements - and I don't like it when they play movie trailers, commercials, etc. over the sound system. The food was horrific. I wish American Airlines would charge $20 more per ticket and provide some reasonable food. Everything just screamed LOW QUALITY. Lucky I had brought a sandwich and some snacks with me on board. The food was so bad that I didn't even touch it. They should just eliminate the food completely and tell people to bring their own on board."

Cons: "Very tight fit."

Cons: "Flight was delayed for hours- weather related, but at other destinations- so this flight had to wait to be rescheduled. Also they weren't able to give any idea when the flight would be boarding- they just kept sending text alerts that it was delayed another half hour and no updates were listed on the screens. When the flight finally left, after I had been waiting for over 5 hours, we were told that they would be flying low, so there would be no beverage service. It would be nice in these situations to simply have bottled water to pass out quickly, or make the announcement prior to boarding so people would be able to bring their own beverages."

Pros: "The boarding was super fast as well as exiting, WOW!"

Pros: "Once again, another good and on time flight with American. I was once again surprised."

Cons: "Last row. They forgot to assign us seats and we almost didn't get one. We had to because we had a dog. They put the dog under the wrong reservation and were concerned they charged someone else for it. No concern for fact they forgot to get us seats. We were in last row center seats. Horrible. Then we were starving and willing to purchase food. By the time they got to us, they were out of food. What?!?! We were willing to pay! Rude personnel. Horrible all around. Hate America. United is better."

Cons: "No food or beverages for me. I slept comfortably on my flight"

Cons: "First when I was checking in I didn't know I only can check in 2 baggage so I had 2 baggage and a 32" TV that I couldn't my TV and at Tampa they took my carry on bag because is was full and I didn't wanna do that they wasn't professional so I'm not happy with my trip."

Cons: "First, it was a big ordeal to get seats together, traveling with 3 children. Seats did not recline. No movie screen, entertainment. Weren’t allowed a carryon, only under seat. Will not fly united again."

Cons: "The flight departed over 3 hours late. Rather than communicating a realistic departure time, the flight was delayed 6 times in 20-40 minute intervals."

Cons: "What a rip off airline trying to nickel and dime you every chance they can. You think you got a value until they add in extra money every chance they can. $13 to pick your seat. Tight fitting seats. They don't allow a carry on bag when you book economy and you have to pay for your carry on. Etc."

Pros: "Clean, comfortable, wonderful crew, even got an appearance from Santa (we flew week before Christmas) which our 3ywar old loved"

Cons: "I remember reading that Aeroflot in Russia has better customer service than United Air Lines. Well, it was on full display today on our flight from LAX to Kona repleat with the veteran battle ax barking orders at passengers; “The Bathroom is by the blue curtaaaaaaiiiins!!!!!’ Poor victim seemed utterly humiliated. Seating is cramped, seats narrow and unsupportive and the old 757’s (c. 1997) entertainment system is ancient...the touch screens seemed unresponsive, but were in fact just slow...as 5-7 seconds would elapse between touching the screen and the command being implemented. A full re-boot was ordered about 30-45 minutes into the flight. As expected, there were some bumps in the air, but we welcommed them because it required the crew to sit down, freeing us of their ultra passive agressiveness."

Pros: "We arrived on time despite leaving 45 minutes late"
Cons: "LAX now buses people to the planes. We stood on the bus for 45 minutes and then drove for 10 minutes on an active taxi way. The crew for united just does not seem motivated anymore on any flight. Even in first class we were offered water only 2 on a 5 hour flight. The crew just sat in the front and looked at their phones. The food made me sick for two days - so it is better to just not eat it and bring your own. It is sad as I united used to be a great airline and now they just seem to focus on what new fee they can charge."

Pros: "Denver had about 2” of blowing snow but the flight in was good and the pilot and crew kept us up to date."

Pros: "Brought my own entertainment. Friendly staff. Great boarding process. On time departure"

Cons: "No food on a 7 hour flight?? That comes close to torture in my book. Crossing a huge ocean = food you don't have to pay for, in my book."

Pros: "The crew was friendly, and the flight time was an hour shorter than scheduled. But those are silver linings to real problems I encountered."
Cons: "This flight was actually from Denver to Kona. There was 1.5 hour delay due to mechanical issue with plane, so we had to switch gates and planes. That wasn't so bad. What made it bad was an extra 45 minute delay because apparently maintenance forgot to sign off on the new plane. Also, the space below the seat for my feet and carry-on was unacceptable. All the aisle seats like mine had only half the space of the window seats for their feet. If you're in an aisle seat on that plane, it's impossible to fit anything but the size of a small purse under the seat in front of you. And the middle seat fares only a bit better. Finally, with 7 hours of flight time plus about an hour waiting to depart from gate on plane, the crew ignorantly decided to hand out the Hawaii form to fill out within 2 minutes of preparing to land. Many people didn't have time to fill out the form before being required to put tray tables up. Fortunately, these forms aren't as serious as going thru customs, but it's stupid to pass out the forms that late into the flight expecting people to complete them."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 2.5 hr. To use the entertainment you have to download an app, but in order to download the app you have to pay for wifi."

Cons: "It was SO hot on plane, I was miserable the whole flight. It started out with a delay on the tarmac due to the air conditioning not working. We had to wait for maintenance to fix that. That wasn’t a big deal to me. We didn’t have a connecting flight to catch, so we were understanding....things happen. The problem for me began when HOT air was blowing on my legs the WHOLE flight. I was miserable! They only had pizza for purchase which did NOT sound appetizing in that heat. It was a terribly long flight and I was so happy to land and get off!!"

Pros: "The boarding was fast and easy. The crew were friendly and accommodating. The entertainment was bring your own phone, tablet or computer to watch movies over wifi. We could not access our United account so we could not watch the movies, which was lame for a 5 hour flight. The food was also unpleasant as usual. You'd think a multimillion dollar airline could afford to feed people more than drinks and a cookie. What happened to the hospitality of the industry? If you came to my house for 5 hours and I gave you one cookie and a beverage maybe two you would think I was rude or down right cheap."

I was offered no vouchers for anything and all the people at the desks were very rude. To top it all off they lost my luggage and they still haven't found it, it's been over 24 hours"

On way from LA to Rochester , 2 stages nite lights didnt work so couldn't read as window passenger pulled the blind down, it was night time."
