Cons: "I dont know WHY Delta changed my flight with ALIITALIA, but, DON'T DO IT DELTA. The check in process took an hour, not talking about the line, the ACTUAL checkin at the counter. I couldn't complete my web checkin at the AliItalia web site. Landed in JFK, still sucks as an airport, nobody helps, nobody explains anything, very poor signs and instructions, Global Entry kiosk are hard to spot. My connection ticket didn't have the TSA/PRECHECK legend, went to AliItalia counter, the lady at AliItalia barely said anything when I asked for help with that, her immediate answer was to disengage and sent me to another terminal "to talk to Delta". She didn't explain or didn't want to give an explanation until I started to act as an already 9hr30min flight frustrated customer in a very old, very poor plane with poor food service. Again, I bought an over $1,000 ticket with DELTA, NOT ALIITALIA, if Delta send people with their "partners" at least make sure that they are taken care of properly."

So I ended up spending almost four hours at the airport before leaving. Boarding was a mess as "groups" were not called but everyone just rushed the gate in mass and we're let on. Staff were functional but looked and acted surly. It was a functional flight in that I arrived at my destination but it was not managed and I did not feel my business was wanted-only my money."

Ordered dinner, was almost as tasty as a Stouffers meal (it was some type of glop of lamb). 7 hours into flight the menu advertised a warm chocolate chip cookie, asked for one was told they THOUGHT they were out, came back about an hour later said the found one, but it wasn't warm, so I passed (not a real fan of eating food they found) About 8 hours into flight , the attendant said out of the blue that they were sorry about not providing the meal all together as requested, but that the other attendant didn't know they offered that service."

I was extremely disappointed, and even the flight attendant said he had flagged this with his management and they continue to sell those seats as exit row and charge a premium. Very poor business practice on BA's end and will absolutely avoid flying with them in the future."

There should never be an airplane that doesn't have personal entertainment on board for an 11+ hour flight. The main cabin had two monitors up front on each side and one in the middle section. We paid for "premium" seats, no charging options. The overhead storage could barely hold the smallest of carry-on luggage. The food was mediocre at best. We were pretty close to the front but every time the beverage cart made it to us the wine was already empty from the previous passengers. Overall pretty miserable flight"

Cons: "The delay with our flight leaving Rome was tied to a delay at JFK the evening before, so although there was nothing to be done at the Rome end, it was inconvenient. Also, because we needed to make a connection in New York, this set the stage for delays on the last leg of our journey"

On a transatlantic flight of 10+ hours that is not overnight, it is a bit much to expect customers to fill that much time if one cannot read because the lights aren't working. The flight attendant said it was a very old plane as the reason why, not exactly what one wants to hear. Also, the plane was different than the one I prepaid my seats for, thus the money I spent on bulkhead seats was wasted as we just got two normal seats. Not a good experience."

Having heard so many similar nightmare stories about American Air I can say I will never ever fly American Air again. We now have to spend our firrst few days home from vacation disputing that charge, writing letters and making calls to get that damn refund. I will be sharing my discontent far and wide. Whoever at corporate thinks it's best practice to sell and sell and sell seats and live with the aggravation of the customers has an upside down notion of how to run a successful business. Flying for 10 hour is draining and the only entertainment be controlled by what the captain provides on the screen isn't comfortable. I may fly American Airlines for domestic flights but I'll surely use another company or longer flights to Europe."

These old birds were 30 years old, out of Arizona desert storage...former TWA, so no entertainment or power or anything. And, AA re-confirmation showed flight and ticket canceled! Said Iberia flight, Iberia said AA flight...yikes! Serious glitches and lost data...locator number erased! You see why I tried to take a foreign carrier."

No air conditioning and very hot environment for most of this time. The crew was visibly upset by the delays and repeatedly blamed the local groundcrew/staff while doing very little to make the passengers more comfortable. It took >1hr for them to pass water. No apologies. No effort during flight to make up for the discomfort (eg free wifi access). Very frustrating experience."

Pros: "Looks like almost all flights were delayed here. However we were abke to be rerouted yo catch connecting flight thanks to the quick thinking of service staff at terminal. Food/free snack was lacking. Some staff seemed a little short and less attentive. Leg room is a joke with coach."
Cons: "Delay delay delay of flights. I need united to have planes ready on standby in case of delays. This is a serious ongoing issue that no one in planning is paying attention to. So PAY Attention! Will someone please hire a snack maker that can make good low salt, healthy snacks?!"

Cons: "Don't fly United. In boarding my first flight, they asked me to check my carry on (my only luggage) since the flight was super packed. We had to deplane shortly after boarding and switch to another plane. Since this delay was going to make me miss my connection, I got on the phone with a United agent and changed my reservation, but the agents at the gate refused to help me get my bag off the plane, so I didn't have clothes for the majority of my trip. The worst part was the attitudes of the gate agents and customer service reps toward all the passengers. Perhaps they couldn't be outwardly apologetic to avoid liability, but there was no excuse for them to be cold and dismissive."
