Travelers with invitation of the USA government for a purpose related to the containment/mitigation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19);
Travelers with documents issued by the US Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection, or US Department of State indicating that the traveler is exempt from the restriction;
B1 crew crewmembers that are engaged in lightering, Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) activity, wind farm activity, private air/sea crew and other similar crewmember activities;
Students with an F-1 or M-1 visa and their F-2 and M-2 dependents, if they arrive from or have been in Ireland, the UK or Schengen Area in the past 14 days.
Starting on January 26, all travelers (including US citizens and transit passenger) must present a negative COVID-19 viral or antigen test result issued 72 hours prior to departure or have an evidence of having contracted and recovered from COVID-19 prior to boarding the plane.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.
Travelers returning to the US are advised to stay home as much as possible, avoid being around people and consider getting tested for COVID-19 after returning from travel and participated in higher risk activities.

Cons: "I dont know WHY Delta changed my flight with ALIITALIA, but, DON'T DO IT DELTA. The check in process took an hour, not talking about the line, the ACTUAL checkin at the counter. I couldn't complete my web checkin at the AliItalia web site. Landed in JFK, still sucks as an airport, nobody helps, nobody explains anything, very poor signs and instructions, Global Entry kiosk are hard to spot. My connection ticket didn't have the TSA/PRECHECK legend, went to AliItalia counter, the lady at AliItalia barely said anything when I asked for help with that, her immediate answer was to disengage and sent me to another terminal "to talk to Delta". She didn't explain or didn't want to give an explanation until I started to act as an already 9hr30min flight frustrated customer in a very old, very poor plane with poor food service. Again, I bought an over $1,000 ticket with DELTA, NOT ALIITALIA, if Delta send people with their "partners" at least make sure that they are taken care of properly."

Worst thing I ever did was listen to the lady at the ticketing booth! Also, the way they do boarding is a total joke. All they care about is their first class passengers. For the rest, it's a free for all! Terrible, even Southwest has more organization! Sputhwest might not have assigned seating, but they're much more organized and significantly cheaper. How do you lose someone's luggage British Airways?!?!?!!!"
Pros: "Absolutely nothing. Flight was delayed from 8am to 1pm, didnt bord until 2pm. Sat on plane for 4 hours which didnt even take off. Shuttled to another plane for 8pm departure, missed connection in London to boston and had to stay over in London. Next time theyre dealing with a mechanical part issue just consider the plane not useable. No snacks on the plane for 4 hours sitting on tarmac, only one beverage service."

Pros: "I had to buy new clothes after lost bag and since bag had been lost twice during my trip, I was reluctant to check the bag. It was of size to cram into my carry on so I did that, but American staff demonstrated concern, had a sense of humor and helped me get a comfortable seat to sort of take some of the sting away. All that was great of them I was aware of being in an upgraded seat. No complaints, but it stung a little because I was deeply aware of the reinforcement of class. The small, extra comforts were wonderful and I wish everyone had them while risking their lives together over the ocean - especially the extra room At times, on the way over I felt a claustrophobic panic. But to stay positive, they were kiind, sympathetic, funny, sweet. I appreciate them."

Pros: "Very nice and genuinely friendly flight attendants and ground personnel. Flight arrived early, perfect landing and take off."
Cons: "Kayak/webjet sent me the wrong check in code for the wrong airline operating my flight. I inserted it on the online form multiple times until I was blocked from doing so, and there was no link to communicate online in real time with anyone who could solve the problem. This was extremely stressful and unnecessary, as well as time consuming. It was not how I wanted to spend my final night in Italy. Furthermore, I had to wake up at 4 am to get a very early bus to the airport in order to check in early enough in person. NOT cool. The food was mediocre. The entertainment options were about the worst I've ever seen. My seat hardly went back at all."
Pros: "The crew was nice."
Cons: "The plane was from 1970 and I mean that. A 10 hour flight with only main cabin tvs, no wifi or outlets? Atleast hand out ipads. The food was also absolutely disgusting. I know it's airplane food, but what a horrible first impression to anyone coming over to the US for the first time and they eat BBQ chicken that tastes like dirt."

Cons: "I received an electronic boarding pass but still was required to go thru a security check to get a paper boarding pass, and then had to go stand in the original line again. Aircraft was dated. Audio for th in flight was bad. Poor experience overall."

Cons: "There was no personal screen like most flights have now. We had to watch the movies on the general screen overhead; however, the sound for the headphones didn't work so we couldn't enjoy those movies. The flight was a non-stop 9hr flight, which made it seem very long without having entertainment."

Cons: "Cramped beyond belief. Can’t roll carry on bags through aisles. Seems they’re more narrow. Boarding seems something beyond common sense. On domestic flights I only fly Southwest unless a must do trip and they don’t fly there. Our trip over to Milan on British Airways was wonderful. Sorry the last leg was American Airlines.)"

Pros: "The cabin was beautiful, the crew was SO friendly and very helpful in every way. The best Flight Attendants!!!! This was the best flight I've had in 30 yrs. I can't say enough great things about this leg of our trip. Food was good for airline food.....I just spent 9 days in Italy eating the best, so hard to compare with! I'm a retired Flight Attendant."

Cons: "I began flying when airline attendants were called airline stewardesses. Their personality plus attitudes and attention to detail reflected on the overall image of the airline, and did not make me feel like a second rate citizen in a second class seat. I've noticed over the last decade-plus that this has changed. I've been rudely spoken to for reaching for a napkin off the cart as I was not given one with my drink. My elbow was hit by the cart as it moved from back to front of isle, and no apology followed. The garbage was collected moving back to front, so I had to get the attention of the attendant after she flew by me. I thoroughly researched the size of the suitcase required prior to flying, and bought a new one to meet the requirements. My suitcase did not fit on American Airlines. Why am I bringing up American Airline? When getting to the airport in Milan, Italy, 2 1/2 hours prior to flight departure, I approached the British Airway counter. As no one was there, I proceeded to believe I was too early, so I had breakfast. I again approached the British Airway counter and still no one was there. On my way to the bathroom, I found the flight board and followed the directions. I searched for British airlines at the gate I was directed to, but was unable to find it. I asked an attendant, and I was directed to the American Airline gate. It was very confusing. It would have been nice if there was a sign at the British Airways counter directing its customers to American Airlines."

Cons: "No individual entertainment units. Forced to watch airline selected movies. No free cocktails. I booked BA for numerous reasons and should have been switche'd."

Cons: "Initially the flight was booked with my wife and seated next to each other. Somehow during the switch in airlines the seats were separated. We were forced to see if we could find a passenger flying alone to switch with. Additionally the 767 did not have individual entertainment screen. Being able to watch movies of your choice makes a long flight more enjoyable."
Pros: "This plane seemed newer than the outbound one with better electronic controls Except for the baggage check in process, security etc. moved quickly and smoothly."
Cons: "Very long wait at the Check in Counter. I'm an AA member, (>20 yrs) but NOT eligible for Priority Check- in ? The Italian counter people sometimes took >10 min. to check in individual families. I saw two agents at one check in where the two seemed to just be chatting?! We were in that line over 45 minutes! Our own check in only took 15 seconds! Gates VERY far from the Check In counter."
Pros: "Ice cream as a snack was a nice surprise."
Cons: "This was a nine hour flight and the entertainment system was very old. There were screens in the middle of the plane with the movies chosen for you. On a flight this long, the customer should have options. You also were not able to control your the air. So the flight was freezing! The lunch options were meatballs or cheesy pasta. I thought these were risky. What has happened to chicken?"
Cons: "We bought 3 seats on Business class. My seat did not have the TV working. After flying for 2 hours the flight attendant gave me a portable TV, after asking multiple times. The food was totally horrible. The catering company that American Airlines uses needs to be replaced immediately. Flying TAP, Emirates, Latam, British Airlines , their catering company is very good. Flight attendants were sarcastic and rude. The service was equivalent if you fly coach class."
Pros: "The British Airways flight to Europe had on-demand movies, with a screen on the back of the seat in front of you. The American Airlines return flight only had a cabin screen, where everyone watched the same movie. I will say, however, that the two movies I watched were excellent, so the outcome was fine (but given the option, I'd take the BA option of on-demand viewing!)."
Cons: "The seats on the AA weren't quite as comfortable as the BA flight (seats sat pretty straight upright, and not too plush... but all in all, not terribly uncomfortable)."
Cons: "Only one plane really gave me a bad experience. The plane was pretty old and cramped and the crew was very rude. Maybe they were having a bad day or didn't want to be in the old plane either, but their performance was bad. One of the attendants, I think his name was Juju, asked me is a soft voice if I would like a drink. With the engines roaring in the background I thought he asked have you been served a drink? I responded "No, I have not." And he started off serving everyone else. I had to call him and asked if he was skipping me and he replied "I asked you if you wanted a drink and you said No!" I explained the engines were loud and I mistaken his words and with an attitude he served me a drink. For the whole 9hr flight I avoided him at all cost and just responded to the other attendants. The other attendants seemed annoyed and would roll their eyes or make a face when people would try to pass them on the aisle, but I in their defense, they were moving a large cart in a small aisle. Passengers should have waited until the aisle was clear before moving. That was my only issue. The next flight was better with no problems."

Cons: "We were delayed initially because our jet was given to a different flight which had been delayed due to mechanical problems. Then our incoming flight was first from San Diego, then Los Angeles. The arrival was delayed several times. Then our boarding was delayed several times. By the time we we in the air, we were even later. The flight was so turbulent, there was no food or beverage service, which isn't important anyway since that has become a token gesture by airlines anyway. . If this was an isolated incident, I could ignore it but it seems that this almost always happens when I fly United."
Cons: "Boarding delayed an hour, and another one hour until takeoff. I was late for my meeting for an hour. :("
Pros: "The crew on the flight were very friendly, very attentive and always smiling. They took great care of the passengers and in particular a woman with a crying baby. It didn't bother me at all, but I know the parents were concerned and the flight attendants were so kind and helpful. The food was truly fantastic, and served hot and with a smile. They repeatedly asked us about water, as the cabin was dry. I would give the crew an A+!"
Cons: "My husband and I have not flown for several years and have always enjoyed past flights. However, it seems as if the seats have much less leg room than years ago. I am only 5 foot 4 inches, and was very uncomfortable. My husband is 6 feet tall and he was miserable. Sleeping on this 9 hour flight would have been helpful, but due to the cramped seating, it was pretty much impossible. The little pillow and blanket did help with some back support, but I guess making more money per flight is more important than comfort."
Pros: "The flight was very smooth. Didn't get hungry, because they provided snacks, beverages, and a decent lunch/dinner. Liked that pillows and a blanket were provided. Liked the free entertainment with some good movie and TV choices to help pass the time."
Cons: "Hated the tight seating, very narrow, so uncomfortable; Couldn't sleep and I WAS FREEZING. Ended up with a terrible cold and sore throat. Angry that I had to pay $100 each way for my second checked bag. Terrible policy. Probably won't fly anymore, if I can help it!"

The plane was late inbound, had a minor mechanical issue, and on top of that we were at a remote gate so they had to bus everyone to plane. After all that, we sat on the tarmac even longer because of “traffic”. Our takeoff clearance had expired and we were behind a bunch of planes. After landing in Chicago, we waited an additional 30 minutes because our gate was occupied."

Cons: "- Had to wait for catering to deliver carts before take off (this also caused a weight balance issue) - After carts were delivered, we were informed catering had forgotten one which caused more of a delay - While we were waiting, the plane started to become unbearably hot - After finally taking off, we were promised free Directv access for the delay but the entertainment was turned off 5 min into the flight due to technical difficulties"

I can't believe that if there is a plane change they move people in Business and First around without notification. On this trip, they did it again, on the flight leg from Rome to Chicago. If I hadn't noticed the change as soon as I checked in I would have spent over 9 hours in a window seat, which would have meant being unable to get up and move easily to prevent sciatica and other issues. Hard to hear the gate crew in Fiumicino."

Cons: "Don't fly United. In boarding my first flight, they asked me to check my carry on (my only luggage) since the flight was super packed. We had to deplane shortly after boarding and switch to another plane. Since this delay was going to make me miss my connection, I got on the phone with a United agent and changed my reservation, but the agents at the gate refused to help me get my bag off the plane, so I didn't have clothes for the majority of my trip. The worst part was the attitudes of the gate agents and customer service reps toward all the passengers. Perhaps they couldn't be outwardly apologetic to avoid liability, but there was no excuse for them to be cold and dismissive."
