Pros: "Our ticket handler at Alaska Airlines ( Sep 21- SMF Airport) was the most helpful and patient person we have ever encountered! The tickets we had purchased through Kayak were charged but not booked. Juan did everything in his power to get us on that flight. And when the kayak company failed to book in time Juan got us on the next available flight, being to sure to find us the best price and a direct flight, versus the one we had booked earlier. Over all Alaska Airlines will be the standard my future experiences will be based off of if I am unable to travel through them"

That said, you should not be required to hold your arm out and hold the seat back in front of you so that you are not elbowing or shouldering the people beside you. sitting sideways on a seat I paid extra for doesn't seem like a great flight to me."

A five to ten minute wait is fine, but a fifteen minute wait, with only three crew members compared to the other airlines? By the time I dropped off my baggage, the other airlines were finished with their customers, and there was still quite a line behind me."

It would have been very helpful if the gate staff at LAX had advised me to not bother to try to make my connection, or called the next gate to tell them we were running over there. RUNNING. Or at least done something to act like they cared. I am disappointed by the lack of initiative. I understand flights cannot wait, and I would have greatly appreciated being saved the trouble of running to a different terminal and instead taking that time to change my travel plans. They may see travelers struggling like this daily, but to each traveler, a hiccup in travel plans trip is stressful and urgent. I ask Delta staff to please consider that when they come to work. Thank you."

Was in 1st class and didn't get beverage service after boarding. Then, the plane sat on a remote taxiway another 30 minutes before takeoff, fully loaded, no A/C, and still no beverage service. Truly miserable hot and sweaty flight."

Our flight was from NYC to PR 5hour long and in between those hours she let a couple sit together on the other empty rows while I was feeling supper sick. Other passengers notice and had told me that they felt sorry for me. I was Embarressed. I was debating on venting on Twitter just yet and also on this review because what difference does it make. What matters the most is that we all got to our destination safely."

It's also impossible for me to rate the food/beverage service, because there was none. I spent over 3 hours on planes, and no beverage service was provided. If you have connecting flights, are flying for business, or don't pack your own refreshments assuming that something standard services will be, well, standard, Delta is probably not who you want to fly with. I work in the industry and sm usually not this brutally honest, but the whole trip was pretty disappointing."

The gate was the only one not listened on the departure board and so i went the wrong way into the wrong Gs. There was no one around to check with, no one to ask and when i realized i went the wrong way i had to run back . At 75. I was the last one on board. No one helped me. The only friendly and helpful staff i met was Peter on the Chicago to LaCrosse flight. Very disappointed."

I downloaded the united app, and it tells me my flight is not just through american airlines, but through another carrier, american freedom or aomething like that. Very confusing. I called someone, I think american airlines, by this time completely confused. If there are multiple carrier types, I should be able to input my flight number and my info ahould come up for me to view flight info and check in, or seat assignment. In the end I dowloaded 2 or 3 apps, a confusing phone call, and when i got to rhw intial check in I was not treated well by tsa personnel. Maybe my name triggered thw extra search or something.Anyway, that last part is unrelated but my return flight was kind of a struggle."

Then when I got to the correct gate I asked that assistant why there was no announcement of the change. He proceeded to tell me I didn't need to yell at him. That was unprofessional, disrepectful, and bottom line rudeness."

Landed in Denver at one gate toward end of concourse and second plane s gate not listed anywhere. No board or person knew where. Found it was to be entire other end..pilot mumbled when talking not able understand his fast mumble."

Cons: "My flight was originally at 10:25am and got moved due to fog to 11:00am which is understandable. But the plane gets in and the captain comes off and says he's clocked off. And that the next captain wouldn't be getting in till 2:40. I would think they would've had enough time to line up another captain knowing the fog was causing delays. It made me miss my flight to Houston. I just really think this all could've been avoided"

I also found it ridiculous that I was charged to check my bag at the gate because it was about a half inch longer than the bin. Yes I understand there are size limits on carry on luggage but the plane was not even half full and the bag was clearly a standard carry on size. If anything, I should have been permitted to gate check the bag."

Cons: "Spirit is difficult to arrange the needs of passengers with emotional support animals, along with congeniality toward the passenger who hopes to travel with their animal. The passenger submitted (ahead of schedule) full legitimate documentation of medical necessity. Spirit requested an expensive letter of medical/health certification from a veterinary. It is not enough to have a letter indicating that all of the animal's health records are accurately documented and up-to-date, it is required that the veterinarian establish a "certificate of health" that only lasts for a 10 day period from the time that it is written. The cost is $100 and if you plan your visit for over a 10 day period the animal must be reevaluated and a new certificate issued for the same cost of $100. Regardless, all things considered, it has become less expensive to just pay the pet carry on fee where no health certificate is necessary. I found Spirit airlines to be less than accommodating to the needs of a traveler with emotional support requirements. Spirit no longer supplies water to passengers during the flight, so don't forget to bring your own, unless you plan to pay the distorted price of a bottle purchase...CREDIT CARDS ONLY!"

All this after buying a ticket! We had no idea there were so many other fees. The airport was was out of our way and we only booked the flight because the fare was lower. When we found at AT CHECK IN, 24 hours ahead of time about all the extr fees, we rebooked on another airline and said forget this airline, what a rip off! Never again will book this airline with all those hidden fees. It was excessive and not mentioned till check in. Bad business model!!"

We then had to take a flight to Dallas and had an 8-hour layover there before making it to Denver on Tuesday night, missing another FULL day of work. I will NEVER fly Spirit airlines ever again."
Cons: "I arrived at 5:18 for a 6am flight DTW to LGA. Was unable to print my boarding pass because was too late. Asked for assistance from agent, who told me gate was closed and wouldn't allow me through. I don't believe that the gate was closed 35 mins before departure, and I feel the agent could have made some effort to get me on the flight, especially after I told her I'm an oncologist and that I needed to be in New York to start seeing patients at 9am. Agents (Alexis and Leila) flatly refused, completely unsympathetic. Fortunately was able to get on next available flight on Delta, at cost of $450."
