FAQs - booking Idaho flights

  • I'm traveling to Twin Falls. Which airport do I fly into?

The closest airport to Twin Falls is the Magic Valley Regional Airport, just 10m from the city center. But keep in mind that this airport is only served by flights from Salt Lake City International Airport, which means that if you're traveling from another city, you'll have to account for a layover. Alternatively, if you prefer to choose from fewer flights but want more airlines and routes to choose from, you can fly into Boise Airport or Friedman Memorial Airport.

  • Which airport do I fly into when traveling to Pocatello?

The closest airport to Pocatello is the Pocatello Regional Airport, which is around 15 min from the city center. Keep in mind that this airport is served only by nonstop flights from Salt Lake City. If you want more options when it comes to routes and airlines, we suggest you fly into Idaho Falls Regional Airport, which is about a 50 min drive away.

  • Are there nonstop flights to Idaho from New York?

All flights from New York to Idaho require a layover in another American city. If you're not sure where you're traveling in Idaho yet, you can choose Salt Lake City International Airport as your layover destination. Nonstop flights depart regularly from this airport to all airports in Idaho. If you're going to Boise or Idaho Falls, a better option would be to book a flight with a layover at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD).

  • I'm going to Sun Valley. Which airport do I fly into?

The closest airport to Sun Valley is the Friedman Memorial Airport, about 26 min by car. When searching for your trip, keep in mind that Friedman receives regular nonstop flights from Seattle and Salt Lake City, and seasonal nonstop flights from Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and San Francisco.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from the United States to Idaho?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from the United States to Idaho.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from the United States to Idaho?

KAYAK’s flight Price Forecast tool uses historical data to determine whether the price for a flight from the United States to Idaho is likely to change within 7 days, so travelers know whether to wait or book now.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from the United States to Idaho?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional round-trip ticket. You could then fly from the United States to Idaho with an airline and back with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from the United States to Idaho?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying from the United States to Idaho up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

Gate agents were informative and friendly… flight attendants were as well. Had a fun time chatting about their legacy AirTran experiences as a former fan of the airline that Southwest acquired.

Flight was awfully bumpy and landing was a bit jolting. I was in the restroom when snacks and drinks were served and was not asked if i wanted any. I had to ask for water finally.

Wi Fi was horrible kept cutting out the whole time and too expensive

I really like open seating. I hate that I've heard this is going away. This is one of the unique things that makes Southwest my goto choice.

Boarding was a little late, but made up for it. It was quick to taxi to the runway, since it's a smallish airport.

Excellent! Only question is how we check in at exactly 24 hours in advance and end up at the end of the B boarding group

Multiple delays and gate changes. Arrived at final destination 6 hours late. All rental cars had been taken.

Employees were kind and funny, as always! Flight was late but no announcements were made for people with tight connections to help them transition quickly. No service due to turbulence.

It was 2 hours 45 minutes late, for no apparently clear reason.

I recently flew Southwest from San Jose to Honolulu. I was very impressed with the flight crew, especially the flight attendant in charge of the front of the plane. She came through the aisle at least five times for drinks and water, and two times for snacks. I have not seen such service since I flew first class. Also, for the first time, they gave us the correct baggage claim number, and the luggage came out quickly. I can't wait for Southwest to have assigned seating! I absolutely hate the Cattle Call boarding procedure and the mad dash to get seats and overhead bins. However, the boarding was efficient.

They left my luggage behind in Seattle. However, they delivered it to my home the next morning.

Our flight experience started at the check in kiosk. Jennifer  Polete smf 498304 greeted us and assisted us with our tags and check in guidance. She was so pleasant, helpful and friendly. This was the start of my experience with American Airlines and it made such a wonderful impression. The staff on the airplane were also kind, courteous, and attentive. I would definitely fly American Airlines again

The whole process was very smooth. My only complaint was finding out the evening before our flight that I had 20 hours left to purchase in flight food. Was not made aware of thus option prior to that alert and was too busy with other preparations to participate.

I appreciated Alaska Airlines very much, they are expanding traveling locations globally as they partnered with another company and am excited and looking forward to our next traveling adventure with this great Airline. Thank you kindly

Overall good , very dependable Airline and all its staff, etc but what could have been improved was allowing more than 40 minutes during layover in Portland as ultimately that brief layover was reduced to about 10 minutes with delays and causes us to panic as we rushed thru the Airport to our connecting flight. The Plane arrives at the Portland Airport very far from one Gate to another but thankfully the staff waited for us at the last minute to Board and were very caring and compassionate and assisted us in every regard . Thank you

All good except both the outbound and return flights were delayed about 1 1/2 hrs.

Not great. My flight was canceled due to a mechanical problem and I could not get rebooked for the same day. I needed to get to my destination yesterday, not today. I was able to book with another airline but it was a layover and ultimately a 1 hour flight took me 12 hours. Normally I like Alaska much more than Southwest, but Southwest came through with a not terrible price for same day.

Alaska Airlines fraudulently listed this as a direct flight to Pittsburgh. We landed in Cleveland, waited an hour, then flew to PIT. No one was told about this. When I called and spoke with Alaskan Airways customer care, they were extremely unhelpful and lied about the direct flight. I have my receipt showing a direct flight. I am in the process of working with my credit card because Alaskan Airlines misrepresented the sale/service. I will never do business with Alaskan Airlines again.

Plane left an hour late due to flight staffing problems. Only a 45 min flight, but it took 3 hours as a result, which left a lot of people disgruntled. No excuses. No recompense.

The flight was canceled so i booked another flight with Delta, so essentially there was absolutely nothing that i enjoyed about my experience with this flight

Lower number on this flight so spaced out passengers. Able to enjoy more room to relax during flight. It was lovely.

Kind staff. Snacks are small but that’s the new normal.

The young man who was our flight attendant in first class was lazy and did not do his job well at all. Never offered drinks upon boarding - actually I take that back... said "are you okay with water" as if I do not want to get you anything else, only passed the snacks around once, got my drink order wrong and then never offered a second round of drinks. He was the worst I have ever seen on Delta and we fly a lot.

Great service. Great staff. Boarding was a little slow, but I think there was a service dog slowing things down.

Flight left early and arrived early. the whole trip was excellent.

Seats were really tight and the seat belts did not give enough slack.

I like in St George and prefer to fly out of CDC than SGU. Hopefully, they will continue the flights out of Cedar

Broken jer bridge. Poor communication about it. Lost 2 of 4 luggage pieces

Overall, it was okay. Seat was a little cramped. Would’ve liked more substantial snacks or opportunity to buy some.

Newer plane, relatively easy boarding, not a full flight and was told that we could not be moved up because of weight and balance issues. Otherwise, a very good experience.

Plenty of room for me and the cat in Premium Economy. Seat was comfortable. Boarding was a breeze. The lady at the special check-in desk was great, super helpful and professional.

For the most part united was a good experience, how ever when they came by with the snacks and water, they completely passed by my wife and I. As we were in separate rows. On a 5 hr flight we were not offered water

Fantastic crew. Flight was delayed at last minute but we were given updates every 20 minutes and the crew was so friendly and considerate. I miss the touch screens on the back of the seats, wish they would bring that back though.

Our seats were all the way in back of the plane,

Food choices were very limited. Taste of the dishes was average.

Maybe add a seat trade app for flyers that didn’t get seats together

It’s been awhile since I have traveled on United. I, along with my family who were on the flight noted how smoothly everything went . Boarding, flight crew and service was excellent.

The seats on this flight were almost roomy enough to be the basic amount needed for human existence. I think my favorite part of this flight was it landed at an A gate, which was the most palatial part of Sea-Tac I've ever seen - a massive improvement from the S gates.

The seats on this flight were almost roomy enough to be the basic amount needed for human existence.

There's just no way to sit fully upright and comfortably in these seats. There needs to be 2 more inches of room, and that's not something that only one person on the flight needs - the whole flight needs 2 more inches of room. If that means you sell 6 less seats, so be it. It's too close for anyone. Forcing people to pay for "premium" economy just to get "barely enough space to breathe" isn't really an answer to that.

Checking in at the counter was very disappointing. The lady had a very bad attitude and smart at me. She had no smile, did not greet me by name, or acknowledge me as a valued customer. Poor reflection of the airline.

Had to wait on pilot and crew to depart and had to wait to arrive at the gate because they only had 2 crews working. Delays, delays....Planes just keep getting smaller and tighter and they nickle and dime for everything. When will an airline actually wake up and make flying more enjoyable?

Angela was the best fa ever. She made that 8 hour flight a breeze

Kayak boarding information contained inaccuracies that would have not existed if booked directly with American. Paid for preferential boarding, was last to board.

I had two wonderful flights - very relaxing and got me there early!

What, first class and not even a cup of coffee before landing at 5 am in First Class? Really?

The flight was just perfect! We left a few minutes early, had a smooth flight and fortunately had landed before the terrible accident that took off from North Philadelphia airport shortly thereafter.

Miami lounges were overcrowded and we were unable to get in. We only had a short time. But the banks are too tight in all American hubs

I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade at boarding. I finally had a mostly gluten free food options and a very attentive attendant.

Cancelled and rebooked twice in one day with a drop in seat class. Not good at all.
