DUE TO the fact that my very last, 55-minute, domestic flight in Colombia was operated by Avianca, it was to my very unpleasant surprise that United decided they were not going to be responsible for the bag which was left behind IN CHICAGO. I emphasize it's in Chicago, because that would not fall under Avianca's responsibility but rather United. I've had an absolutely awful time trying to get in touch with United and Avianca customer service, I've received both conflicting and incorrect/untrue information from both parties, and it's been 4 days now that instead of enjoying my family vacation I've been trying to sort this mess out with my missing luggage. The result, was back pain. I have repeatedly tried to have my last two trips to Chile and Colombia register frequent flyer miles on Copa. I was not able to figuire out how to do this on the web site. When I asked for help at the Copa counter, I was told it can only be done on the web site. Fortunate, my recent trip to and from Ecuador did register frequent flyer miles."

Boarding was totally disorganized, it reminded me of a persian market trying to go though a single door, all at once. Security bands to form lines were obviously unavailable. The whole experience was like riding an old bus with no technology, and it’s entertainment was along these lines."

Cons: "We flew Latam to go snowboarding in Argentina. The moment we arrived at the desk to check in, it was chaos. We waited in line for almost 2 hours to check in. When we got to Buenos Aires, our snowboard bags had not made it on the flight. Having to deal with Latam agents who hardly spoke English and were not helpful at all was intensity frustrating. Our bags finally got to our destination 2 days later. We had to drive to the airport to pick them up because they were not going to deliver them for another day, so we would have been 3 days without our snowboard gear. Latam did nothing to compensate us for the days lost no did they even seem to care. This is one of the most frustrating companies I have ever dealt with. I booked a return flight on Delta and lost $1000 just so I don’t have to deal with Latam again. Any money you save on a flight is not worth having to deal with this company. Stick with reliable American-based companies with customer service that is up to American standards."

On top of being just enough time to wait for our bags, drop them off with the next airline, walk across the airport, enter security (which went exceedingly slowly), we had just enough time to get to the gate before boarding. Pros: "Despite having a high "Sapphire" status with this One World Partner and being promised "preferente" seats by the airline when I reserved seats months ago, I was unable to view the seats or check in online. Both their App and their online system were down and unavailable. We were never able to view our actual seats online. The "preferred seats" my group on 5 could not have been worse!! We were seated consistently in row 11 or the very last row of the aircraft immediately in front of the lavatory, where the seats do not recline at all and where you hear and smell the bathroom for the entire flight.. There was NO space to breathe in our seats. I have traveled on dozens of airlines and this experience and these seats were the WORST! After this happened once, I specifically asked to insure that it would not happen again and was told that seats on my next flights were good but they were the same horrible seats. Part of our itinerary was on LAN and part was on TAM, who have now combined into 1 airline, but still operate on separate systems. So LAN customer service could not see the seats for TAM flights and vice versa. Their online system reflected a changed time for our return flight from 145pm to 250pm from Rio. We verified it 3 times (even though we could not check in or view our seats because of "technical difficulties" we could see the new departure tie, and the change was confirmed by our Sheraton concierge, but when we arrived to the airport they informed us that we had arrived to late for our 145pm flight! We showed them the app that showed our flight was changed to 250pm and they could not explain the problem. We were delayed 4 hours and arrived too late for dinner in Santiago. The final 4 hour flight at 4am flight from Santiago to Lima was torture. The seat in front was literally 6 inches in front of my face when they reclined and I could not recline. It was absolute TORTURE! Avoid this airline! To add the agony, they have lost my bag and do not know where it is!"

Cons: "I have traveled all over the world. From China to Peru, name it and I’ve been there, and I have never been treated more poorly as consistently as I was by Aeromexico today. After forgetting the bottom of a piece of paper I was not told I needed to keep with me (it was given to me when I landed in Mexico), I was turned away from the gate minutes before boarding. I was told to exit the terminal (with no options as to what to do with my duty free purchases) and pay a 600 pesos fee for a new piece of paper. Ok, fair enough. When I get there, they don’t take credit cards. Aeromexico shrugs their shoulders yet again. I run across the airport to another terminal to get cash to pay for the silly paper, run back to get it, sprint across the airport (again, with ZERO help from the airline getting through security to make my flight) only to have the door closed in my face. Defeated I walk to the module in the terminal to ask for a new flight to be told I have to exit the terminal AGAIN. I ask what I do with my duty free purchases (bottles of tequila I cannot bring in again) and I’m told I should check them in with my luggage. After informing the agent I don’t have luggage (it was a short trip) i was told I would need to purchase luggage. THEN, I was told my rescheduling fee for the flight would be $720, a full priced fare. Never flying Aeromexico again. I’ll take 3 planes on American before a direct flight with them. Enjoy."

The crew at Logan and the airline ground crew could see us struggling to put it back together and then to fix it but offered absolutely no help until the very end, when we had already gotten the chair to a workable state and help was no longer needed. The crew in Mexico was not helpful upon boarding either, I had to take my husband down the ramp because there was no one to help us. We had no such problems in our outgoing flights so were surprised at the lack of care and utter disinterest on the way back."

Cons: "On June 29 Aeromexico Flight 2683 arrived in Mexico City airspace and the Captain informed the passengers that the plane would have to refuel in Alcapulco due to inclement weather in Mexico City. The website https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/mexico/mexico-city/historic reports NO inclement weather on that date or at the time that AM 2683 was to land. I observed partly cloudy skies from my window seat as well. The ground crew in Alcapulco was unprepared for AM2683 and the fueling was delayed. After doing so, AM 2683 landed AFTER my connecting flight AM 684 was scheduled to depart at 1:05 AM on June 30. A female connection agent met me at the baggage claim and informed me that that AM 684 had not been held and had departed. The female agent was unhelpful, dismissive and rude. In fact, she had taken a personal cell phone call at the connections desk prior to assisting passengers of AM 2683 which lasted many minutes. She escorted us to the Aeromexico counter where I waited 30 or more minutes to speak to a representative. The representative at the Aeromexico counter informed me that there were NO flights to Quito until 1:05 AM on July 1. I asked if she could book me on another airline and she informed me that because the delay was weather related Aeromexico had no obligation to accomodate me. She booked me on AM684 for July 1. I asked where I was to wait for the next 24 hours and she said Aeromexico had no obligation to pay for lodgings. She gave me food vouchers for the airport. I immediately logged onto Travelocity.com and found a Copa Airlines flight to Quito leaving that afternoon which was in fact OPERATED BY AEROMEXICO! I booked that ticket myself and waited in the Mexico City Airport for 14 hours. What would have taken 10 hours took me 22."
Cons: "The thing I did not like is that I call Aeromexico to pay for the extra loggage tha I had before my fly and the person that I talk to told me that everything was all paid for and when I got to the airport guess what, The extra luggage was not paid so they charge a lot more than what I would have paid the first time a call."

AeroMexico supervisor in Mexico City was not going to accomodate us at all. We had 12hrs until the next flight out. We asked the supervisor to check in our luggage-this was denied. We asked the supervisor to allow us to visit the VIP lounge to rest and this was denied. Supv did not assist us in locating a hotel. We spend 12hrs in Mexico City airport, dragging our luggage around until we were allowed to check it in, in the middle of the night. We have flown AeroMexico numerous times before. In June 2016 we purchased "6" tickets for Cancun with AeroMexico. In 2017, we will NOT be flying AeroMexico. We will book on a different airline."

Horrible, I will never take this airline again."
