Cons: "The check-in at LAX. They form 2 different lines for Economy. The 1st line was lined with the people arriving first. Then the 2nd line started to fill later. But when the ANA agents came out, they have no clue and serve the line of the people arriving later. Should know what they are doing. Either just 1 line, or if 2 lines, should ask which line come first"

I show up for new departure time. Plane left six minutes earlier. First thanks for the bad information. Second thanks for not paging me. Third I don't care when the plane is supposed to leave. Just tell me what time to be at the gate so I can stand around after an international flight. Oh and if a flight attendee to squawk rudely at a paying customer when we do land, why I'd just have to ask myself AGAIN ... why do I fly United?"

A 17 hour plane ride is never the best, but Singapore Air made it as pleasant as possible. Also, we booked on Kayak and was routed through a third party vendor JustFly, which I was a little worried about - but our booking went off without a hitch."

I did not want to make a big deal, so I just ate it. Then they did not offer any beverages when the meal came! I literally had to beg them to make me their famous “Singapore sling”. Shocking really!!. When I had my coffee, my request for cream and sugar went ignored THREE times. Finally they grudgingly gave me only cream, rendering my coffee undrinkable. .....And the list goes on. Never ever will I travel on this horrid airline again!"

There are plenty storage space in your seat space. The entertainment system has many choices and has a lot new release movies and shows."
Cons: "Unfortunately, the ride on Boeing 777 is not as smooth as the Airbus'. The noise in the cabin is louder. The seat is comfortable but the bed is not. First, the flat bed is not transformed by a button and it needs a physical person to flip it over. The mat is thin and I can feel some hard edges while lying down. The noise from the engine transmits to the bed and it is hard to sleep even with the noise cancellation headphone."

At night when I was hungry, I asked the flight attendant for some snack, both a male and a female served at my cabin said, "we don't have that." I expected SQ staff to serve one step further, instead of stopping at a no. Can't you recommend something? Throughout the entire trip, whenever I asked something, the way they answered always made me feel that I was a trouble to them. Is it because I was in an economy class and that's how you treat me? SQ, you may want to change what you are proud of. It's no longer a first class service, at least not to us poor economy class passengers."

What bothered me even more is that when the woman asked the flight attendant to tell me to put my seat up, the flight attendant complied instead of telling the woman it was my seat to do as I wished. Why make the seats recline if they are going to bother the people behind? Why tell me to put my seat up if it was not a requirement for all (ie during take off or landing)? I did not appreciate this and it made my flight extremely uncomfortable."

Why can't USA folks and TSA figure this out? Updates from flight deck were good and pilot seemed to avoid some expected turbulence. Cabin crew friendly, competent, helpful. Food was very good, nice touch with comp wine. Entertainment options were many and good variety. Hope to fly ANZ again someday."

The air New Zealand part was all great plane boarding etc, the horrible part is that we bought baggage allowances with virgin and they never transferred the information to air New Zealand. So there I am from the USA in a foreign country boarding a flight being asked to pay 500 nz dollars for a few kilos when I had already paid for it. Having to produce emails and payment information on something I had done months in advance. Overall I won’t recommend virgin next time I’d book directly with air New Zealand"

I guess it helped that they give you free booze, which was helpful in relaxing after all the issues. Overall I did not enjoy this flight even half as much as I did the way there."

Cons: "I payed $50.00 USD on a seat so I would have a bigger seat. However, when I got into the plane, the lady that was going to be seating next to me asked me if I could change my seat with her husband; which was a regular seat. In order to avoid an awkward 12 hour flight, I agreed to change my bigger seat for a smaller seat. I felt disappointment that Air New Zealand separates parties and leaves room for uncomfortable situations. I really did not know what to do in this scenario, I paid for that seat but was in a way forced to give it a away without any refund in order to avoid 12 hours seating with some stranger's wife."

Pros: "The crew was super friendly and accommodating. They found solutions for any questions or difficulties we had. They checked any excess luggage before you boarded. Boarding the plane was done back to front which was nice in loading bags and passenger without waiting for people in front of the plane. Meal service was promptly served so complimentary alcohol. Both meals were appreciated on such a long flight."

And I saw someone in San Francisco at the ticket counter get a visa and yet I was told I wouldn’t be flying that night as I had forgotten to get a visa. No help at all !! I know I wasn’t the only person that ever got a visa. I was told to call my consulate. Clearly there was a simple way to get a visa and I was so freaked out until I figured it out myself. Made it so unpleasant."

Cons: "My seat wouldn't stay upright so any movement made it go back, which was fine for resting but when eating or sitting up, I kept falling back. Luckily the person behind me was understanding."

My prepaid seat for extra $35 AUD wasn't available. The seat was uncomfortable and the pillow was huge - I had to put it on a floor. I am surprised why Qantas is rated #9 among best airlines for 2016. I will try to avoid Qantas in the gorier."

We chose not to order in advance as we didn't know what we wanted. I was annoyed and frustrated to have to wait for the crew to go to and fro with meals and drinks to the pre-ordered customers before being offered our meal. I imagine that if the entire flight preordered their meal, it was also not work so well..."

Cons: "We had requested a wheelchair for my mum on her flight from SFO to Perth. But on arrival in Sydney, she was not offered a wheelchair. We had checked with a quanta staff while getting our boarding pass about the wheelchair and she said they will be providing her with it. So disappionted. How will I be able to trust quantas again while booking tickets for aged/sick people?"

Cons: "We booked two vegan meals at the time we purchased plane tickets but the crew said they couldn't find our meal reservation, and didn't seem to care much that all they could offer us on a 14-hour flight was a couple fruit cups. Additionally, we had to land in Brisbane to refuel due to the "fog" in Sydney -- I checked other flights into Sydney later in the day and none others were re-routed due to fog -- which added almost 2 hours to our flight."
