My grandpa is in the ICU and I nearly missed visiting hours because of having to wait to deplane in the front."

A large group of teens were crowding the boarding gate which delayed us even further and were disruptive so it was difficult to hear cues for boarding. I arrived 4 hours later than scheduled, missing an appointment. At the request of the gate agent, I volunteered for free gate-checked luggage due to a very full flight. My bag was never checked and was delivered 14 hours after I had arrived home. 12:30 AM. Crew of the plane was excellent, and the flight itself was thankfully uneventful."

Cons: "Held on runway for over an hour, first half hour with no explanation if any kind, finally the pilot said we were being towed back to gate for a small problem, not a safety issue. No apologies, no explanations. Flight crew stood at front of plane chatting and laughing, nobody checked on how we were doing, feeling, stressing...more than an hour stuck on plane, late. A simple apology would have gone a long way. Seems to be part of jet blue philosophy to not do so. Ironically, return flight delayed 50 minutes, after boarding, for a cosmetic issue if a seat that was empty"

Cons: "Night flights should include blankets and pillows. (at no extra cost) Just like a hotel. Traveling with bulky blankets and pillows in order to be able to sleep on a night flight is not always possible. JB provides eyemask and ear plugs, which is ridiculous. I can bring my own eyemask and ear plugs. I even paid extra for upgrade seats! The headrests are not adjustable and the recline is barely noticeable. It was a long 6 hour flight! No entertainment. I have flown other airlines to South America and been able to enjoy full feature recent release films, TV shows and games. Why can't JB figure out how to do that on their international flights? No meals. All other airlines offer meal service on their international flights. I pay as much for JB flights as I have for other airlines going to South America. The value for JB tickets just isn't there. To fly JB, picture yourself getting on board with your own pillows, blankets, entertainment and food. That about sums it up."

An announcement would be helpful to new arrivals to this airport."

"I booked this reservation 2mo in advance with 2 lap babies. When i called to add the babies they never told me about the lap baby rule. If I would have known i would have bought my toddler her own seat no problem. They moved my seats far from each other. My babies need to sit near their mom it was a redeye. At check in the manager did us a “favor” and moved us to adjacent aisle seats… in the last row. Those seats don't recline and the constant people, flushing and talking woke the babies up all night. No one slept. The main attendant couldn’t be bothered and had a, get over it bad attitude. Oh did i mention i had a dog at my feet also?? Every time they were woken up by the bathroom (constantly) my babies would cry for their mommy and i could only hold on at a time. adjacent seats from mommy is not comforting . Why on earth would we be moved to those seats?! I know why. We were discriminated against for having babies. “Put the babies in the back.” I was a 4x a year flyer at minimum. We will NEVER fly with AA again and i will be filing a complaint. You should be ashamed of your treatment of a family and young children."

"Short connecting flight to LAX from SFO. Only thing I maybe disliked was the lack of entertainment options, but what can I expect when it’s only a small jet to LAX"

Pros: "Check-in started a bit late due to late arriving incoming flight but the crew at the gate as well as in the plane did their best to speed the process. Flight was smooth, lande ontime despite taking off nearly 20 minutes late. Captain kept us informed when, through no fault of American Airlines there was a delay at the gate. Overall well done in these trying times."

This does not seem very considerate of our health during a Pandemic especially with their messaging about social distancing. They also did a very poor job of keeping people patient in the deplaning process. Maybe they good offer each passenger a choice some type of goodie like a mint or a chocolate that says "please enjoy this while you wait for others to exit the plane"."

Cons: "The flight was repeatedly delayed and AA isn't social distancing on their planes, causing people to be right next to another person for multiple hours. Even with masks, the risks could be further mitigated if seating was more staggered."

This caused a significant proportion of the passengers to miss their connecting flights. American didn't do anything to help other than offer a "discount" of about $10 off of over $100/night hotel rooms in the Philadelphia area to sleep overnight in Philadelphia. This was absolutely lousy customer service by American, and will definitely make me avoid American Airlines in the future."

Cons: "The flight was delayed for hours, and I am still trying to get to lax. All due to the pilots being too tired to fly, and due to maintenance. I would of appreciated checking into a hotel room a lot earlier than I did due to vague communication. I’m exhausted with only 2.5 hours of sleep."

Pros: "The flight attendance kindly asked the passengers to allow for the people on the back with very thigh connections, due to stupids delays, to deplane first, but of course almost no one listened and as soon the plane reach the gate everyone stranded up clogging the hallway. There should be more education to the passenger in general. If you don't have a connection, just stay put for an extra 5 minutes, is nothing crazy to do."

I think that this was because of issues with the website, apparently due to IT system communication between American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.......on all six flights. On the transfer in San Francisco, Customs was closed when we arrived in San Francisco and we had to haul all of our baggage from one terminal to the other. There was no direction on how to handle this issue of Customs being closed while on the flight to San Francisco. I had to explain the issue of to the CP customer service crew in SF. The CP desk and they had never heard of it. American Airlines was equally poorly trained. I will also say that while at the CP customer service, there were three young adult males that we're not busy at the time and the watched us unload the baggage carts onto the scales and conveyor and then reloaded on to the carts to push to the AA terminal. We handled the bags two additional times because the CP staff did not know what to do and how to handle it. Other passengers were confused as well."

Cons: "The plan was 20 minutes behind schedule on departure and to top it off they had me pick up my luggage and check in again making me miss my connection. As a result I lost my train ticket fees"

Lost ~$500 due to the cancellation and nobody cares to compensate it. Completely disappointed about customer care."

Cons: "My flight from SFO to Miami was delayed so I missed my connection to Rio and now I’m NYC on my birthday instead of my final destination. The flight status was changed 7 times. And AA said they would get my bag off but they did not and now I have to wait at JFK and hope it got rerouted here. And if it didn’t to hope it can on another flight before I hopefully actually get on a flight for Rio. Nobody has comped me for losing a day in Rio and for my hotel room. And this has been the worst flight exeperience or my life which unfortunately landed on my birthday. One I’ll remember in a sad and bad way. American Airlines refused to compensate me because I got my tickets via Kayak and I haven’t been able to find a number to complain to a Kayak agent whom I sure would say I had to contact American Airlines and nobody would help or take responsilvitu for this disaster."

Cons: "Seat comfort was awful. I paid more for legroom but the actual seat was narrower then others. No one told me that. So legs were fine but my hips were squeezed. Seat cushion was also minimal. The base of my back was aching before take off."

Cons: "I was on a flight to Dallas on an American Airline flight which arrived late due to weather conditions, and the connecting flight didn't even wait for me although they know why I couldn't make it on time. And I was only late for about 5 minutes."

Cons: "Non-economy plus seats are too small. Boarding frequently complicated by passengers who create issues with overhead space and carry ons."

Cons: "We were not permitted to board the plane until later than expected, but were told we would still take off right away and regain lost time, no mention of a delay at last call or immediately after, despite the 20 minute delay by this point. After taxiing, the pilot informed us of withheld information, that ATC would delay our departure for ~40 minutes, but we could STILL try to make it up in the air. This was a bold faced lie. It was finally  9:52pm before we even took off from SFO. While idling, the cabin started to reek of jet fuel, and people started coughing and sneezing. Upon landing at LAX at 10:46pm, we were told that there was no gate for us, and that we would have to wait for an amount of time that kept changing every time there was an announcement. The toxic jet fumes started to permeate the cabin again, and people started coughing and sneezing in response. Ultimately it is 11:21pm by the time we reached our gate. At this point, the jetway was broken/failed to open, but despite this, the air conditioning was switched off and pax crowd the aisles without direction. Finally we managed to escape at 11:31pm."

Pros: "In flight movies were varied, with both new and international films to watch. Flight attendants were nice. Boarding was smooth."
Cons: "Spent a while sitting on the plane waiting to take off because of some kind of delay, but that meant I could spend more time watching the in-flight entertainment."

Pros: "while our flight was delayed, they kept us well-informed about what was happening and didn't leave us in the dark. We were delayed because an fight attendant failed to show up, and there happened to be another off-duty flight attendant passenger on board who volunteered to work the flight so that we could still depart on time. Real thoughtful dedication!"

Pros: "I was surprised by the amount of room in the economy cabin."
Cons: "Check in very slow! The computers used for passenger self check in didn't work well. It took 6 attempts to read my passport, it never did read my green card, wouldn't accept my frequent flyer number. Other passengers were similarly frustrated. The attendant couldn't have been less helpful. I joined a line to check in with a counter clerk. The counter positions were seriously understaffed. The clerks seemed to be working quite slowly and were quite unconcerned about the growing line. I'm glad I checked in early for my flight!"

Cons: "Got a notification of a TWO HOUR DELAY departing SFO. Rebooked into Charlotte instead of Dallas to connect to Fort Myers. THAT flight got delayed AFTER the doors were closed by another 45 minutes which caused me to miss my connection to Fort Myers AND have American Airlines leave my bag in Charlotte. I rebooked into West Palm Beach to drive to Fort Myers and my bag stayed in Charlotte even though there was ANOTHER 45 minute delay to change a tire on the plane. If I practiced medicine the way the airline handled customers, I'd kill every third patient!"

Cons: "The self check in kiosk in PHL The man working on 6/5/17 priority- First class was a total jerk. He sent me to a different desk, despite my having upgraded to 1st Class, and all his kiosk computer check in stations were EMPTY."

Cons: "I had booked an international flight with British Airways and it ended up being American Airlines. There was no notification of this change and I was not happy. I found AA to be subpar. The plane itself didn't have individual screens and my view was obstructed by other seats. The food was terrible and I got sick later, possibly from the bad airline food. Overall I got to my destination on time, but unhappy as I had chosen an airline and was forced to use another."

My 63 years old mother had her small size hand carrier, a travel tote on top (with her travel blanket and her medicine) and a crossbody passport size. They told her to put it in her tote!!! Only 2 items allows. ... In the plane she saw passengers carried way more than what that."

Cons: "I didn't like how small the seat was on this flight. I'm used to flying JetBlue and getting extra comfort. Also, my television wasn't working properly. I would start a show and then it would play for a couple minutes then the screen would go out, but the sound still on. This happened with every show I tried. Overall I was disappointed in the new American plane even for just a short flight. I can't imagine flying that for a long distance."

This wouldn’t have been an issue had the pilot not decided to off board and then re onboard cargo (the commercial stuff they get paid to carry). This took about 20 minutes and then after the winds changed, he decided he could load more passengers. So despite having the doors locked and getting ready to leave the gate, they opened the doors up again and boarded more people for the next 40 minutes. So they chose to make a delayed flight even more delayed (on Christmas Eve). So we inevitably missed our connection in sydney and had to pay a change fee since it’s a different airline. Thanks for the Christmas gift United - you always know how to disappoint your passengers."

Cons: "The new controls built into the armrests are HORRIBLE! You accidentally hit a button constantly because ITS AN ARM REST! Get the engineers building something to cover it up. We landed early and I was so excited to get a jump home. I then waited for 35 mins for my bags to appear on the conveyor AFTER walking all the way to the baggage claim from the gate. I arrived home later than I expected.....This is not the first time that the United baggage was so slow. This needs to be an improvement area."

Then our incoming flight was first from San Diego, then Los Angeles. The arrival was delayed several times. Then our boarding was delayed several times. By the time we we in the air, we were even later. The flight was so turbulent, there was no food or beverage service, which isn't important anyway since that has become a token gesture by airlines anyway. . If this was an isolated incident, I could ignore it but it seems that this almost always happens when I fly United."

Airlines that still charge passengers for in-flight entertainment deserve a special sort of hatred that they receive, and United is the worst for this. Charging for wifi and movies is straight out of the year 2000, and that's squarely where United is. If JetBlue can offer free wifi, complementary movies and TV, snacks that are not stale, and an extra inch of legroom so can United. I hate this airline."

Cons: "It was HORRIBLE. They had to book us on another flight to Houston and then to Dallas because there were no more direct flights. We arrived at the check in counter at 10 AM. Flight left at 10:40. We were only 5 minutes late for the cutoff after a 15 hour flight with delays that were NOT our fault but were the fault of the airline itself. Our seats were terrible going back and they did not even offer us any kind of voucher to help with the added time and stress of having to wait for another flight and take an extra one."

The connection time allowed was not nearly enough even if the plane had not been an hour late and there are no flights to asahikawa from narita. yo have to transfer to hanaeda. remind me not to fly United to Tokyo again as I’m pretty sure the flight was canceled because it was not full enough. Even the narita flight with all the hanaeda passengers rebooked on it was not full. So i suspect this may be a relatively common occurance on the hanaeda flight."

Crew was not professional. After takeoff they never came around to see if anyone needed anything and not even a glass of water was offered for the entire flight. They didn’t even ensure that everyone wore seatbelts on landing - woman next to me was stretched out hugging her companion while landing wilth unbuckled seatbelt. Entertainment screen did not wirk properly."

Pros: "The person at the United customer service desk was able to book me on the next available flight to Reno (after missing my original flight mentioned above) quickly and efficiently. Boarding was fast."

I know I gave her a questioning look because this did not answer my original question. She repeated her statement again this time pointing. I would have preferred that she tell me that the flight had finished boarding but customer service could help me get on another flight. I feel that would have been more professional. My new flight was also an hour late"

But Eric said this was it...take it or leave it. Just so rude and uncaring. No entertainment in head rest in front. Internet was extremely spotty and the charging station would stop after some time automatically :("

Pros: "Entertainment had good choices. I was very comfortable in the chairs. The crew was overall friendly."
Cons: "Wish the entertainment came with tablets already installed instead if for purchase. Would be nice to have gluten-free options for snacks. Since my first flight was delayed and I barely made it to my connection, I had no time to grab something to eat at the airport. And being celiac, there was only a nut and fruit mix. Not enough to substitute for a meal. My biggest complaint however is with 3 hours left of the flight, i turned on the call button to request a beverage and nobody came. I waited 45 minutes, having to turn on the light 3 separate time because it automatically must have timed out. I couldn't get out of my seat due to seat belt sign. I looked back into the rear galley and 5 attendants were back there talking. Tried to get their attention. Nothing. Finally, I got up and went to get my own drinks. Being a server at hotel in waikiki, I understand that customer service is very important. And though I understand that they may have been busy and unable to answer my call, I could see that clearly was not the problem. They were just standing there and chatting. Very frustrating. Though they were friendly, they just simply weren't paying attention. I have to say in all honesty, I will not be recommending nor flying United airlines again."

We could not access our United account so we could not watch the movies, which was lame for a 5 hour flight. The food was also unpleasant as usual. You'd think a multimillion dollar airline could afford to feed people more than drinks and a cookie. What happened to the hospitality of the industry? If you came to my house for 5 hours and I gave you one cookie and a beverage maybe two you would think I was rude or down right cheap."

Cons: "1. The flights within the US and Canada was delayed. 2. The United Airline staff in San Francisco told me to pick up my luggage when I get to Seattle despite of the fact that my final destination was Vancouver. I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail."

Cons: "OK, United, I understand and fully support "no more seat monitor" policy to reduce costs (even though it seems very backward); however, there's one problem--if you still want to enjoy onboard entertainments, you need to download the United application above 10,000 feet where you can never find your 4G connection. Oh wait, but there's still Wi-Fi service, right? Sure, if you are willing to pay $17 just to download application!! United, I understand how you want to make little money out of a customer's pocket, but this is not how you should do it. You should at least allow internet connection before departure or let the customer aware they need to download application beforehand."

Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "The guy puked halfway through the flt and not one single flt attendant came even though they were serving drinks repeatedly to the dr sitting in the row in front of me. Also the flt was delayed as we waited almost an hour for people trying to connect which made me more upset since I was rebooked on that later flt because although my previous flt was there half hour before departure, we didn't have a gate to use which caused me to be 15 mins late for my original flt. Did they wait for me?! NO! I was rebooked. It's unfair that they stole an hour of life from every other passenger to accommodate a few. Back to the guy who puked, an hour after that he started shaking and grabbing his head and asking me why am I hurting his heart. Then incoherent blathering and then his last episode 20 minutes before we land in which he started hitting himself in the head saying he would die right now for his wife and how he's made mistakes. It was three separate incidents from this one passenger and not one flt attendant noticed? Yeah it was bad piled on worse stacked on top of never United ever again."

Pros: "The boarding was pretty good for this flight, seemed simple enough, everyone was pleasant. And I was near an exit, which offered sufficient leg room."
Cons: "I was disappointed by a few things... 1. The staff didn't much care to be there. They seemed distant and unconcerned, although their words were supportive. I just got off a flight from Seoul to SF, with United (892) and they admittedly stated that they were understaffed (which was completely fine) and their attitudes were much more supportive than that of the following team (486), a flight from SF to IAD. 2. I was surprised, that on a 5hr flight, they only offered a half bag of mixed items and two rounds of beverages. I was sure that they would feed us something. However, if it's not the policy, I get it...but I asked if they had anything I could purchase, the flight attendant points me to the menu pamphlet and says that I could choose from there. I asked for the Chilled Chicken with Slaw and she promptly lets me know that they only have cheeseburgers, a protein box and Cheese. For a person who's lactose intolerant, I was again disappointed by the service--why ask me to go to the menu, if you knew there were only three items you were offering?? So I didn't order anything. 3. The entertainment blows my mind. I've flown with you guys like 8 times this year, and the app still does not work properly, however, before every flight, someone mentions over the intercom to be sure to download the app...but if it doesn't work...why offer it? Also, if there are tvs at the back of every headrest, the least you could offer is a random movie, versus the commercials about how great the app is, or whatever was scrolling along. Lastly, please note, I was trying to figure out a way to make a comment to United...but didn't want to sound TOOO disgruntled. I'm not opposed to flying with UA, absolutely not, but if any of these things are addressed, I definitely feel you will be making a massive improvement on what seems to be an airline that I'd think twice about taking. Feel free to e-mail or call me. I don't mean to sound rude...but having flown other airlines, and knowing that UA has been around for a while, i just hoped the experience would be better."

Cons: "Plane was delayed over two hours due to mechanical issues. I missed my connections. Three separate United employees assure me I'd be rebooked for onward travel. I was sent to three different counters regarding my onward travel - sent from terminal to terminal. No onward travel was resolved and I eventually just paid for a train onward. I was told this was because it was a weather delay but at the boarding gate multiple announcements were made about repairing the plane and replacing batteries. United deliberately wasted my time and never fulfilled their obligations to get me to my destination. (Additionally, wifi and entertainment was not functional the entire 11 hour flight)"

Cons: "5 minutes before we boarded they tried to change my seat without informing me.... luckily it popped up on my phone that my seat had changed I reserved an aisle seat when I made my reservations five days before the flight. All of a sudden they put me in the middle seat ...so I went to the counter and the person at the counter tried to tell me that I just changed to the aisle seat that I had which I actually have had for 5 days and she tried to tell me that I was lying to her I was not very pleased with United at all!!! I made it very clear and even showed her the email from 5 days ago where I had that seats all along the aisle seat that she took away from me and put me in the middle somewhere so three minutes later she told me to look at my phone and she changed me back but that's after she basically called me a liar and said I didn't know what I was talking about!! Worst US AIRLINE!!"

Cons: "Never got to do this flight because of the previous flight which is reviewed below: My seat was broken and wouldn't stay in upright position. This really pissed off the passenger behind me. Crew kept telling me to put my seat upright, I kept having to tell them the seat was broken. Old airplane with no in-seat entertainment. they advertise on the seat that you can watch all their entertainment content for free, but then you have to pay for wifi to watch so it's not free then, is it? Every movie or show requires "additional software" so you have to purchase internet to do the download. This is an 11 hour flight, I would have appreciated being able to watch a movie or something without forking out $30. Flight was delayed, so we were low on time to make our connection. I asked a flight attendant twice if we could get help deplaning early or at least get moved up some rows since we were in the very back of a 747 (there were plenty of vacant seats). They said no, and told us that customs would only take a minute and that the other united flight knew we'd be coming and would wait. I don't usually fly united; other airlines typically will actively take steps to help (like moving connecting passengers to the front shortly before landing) if they are the cause of the delay. Customs had only one agent working and we were pretty much last in line so that process took over an hour. Just moving us 10 rows forward before landing would have made all the difference because our connecting flight closed its doors and taxied for takeoff less than 5 minutes before we arrived. They had some united employees guiding and directing a couple of passengers that were going to be late for a connection to LAX, but no help for those of us connecting to portland. Customer service didn't even offer a verbal apology. Last time I flew with united, I also had a terrible experience for different reasons. I did not intend to fly united for this flight, but I purchased tickets through and for Lufthansa, and this flight was regrettably operated by united. Another thing I don't like - the food was horrendous. It was a breakfast sandwich that was advertised as "hot and fresh" on the packaging but was served straight from the refrigerator. I was in the middle seats with one person to my left and two people to my right. Everyone took only one bite and threw away the rest. Just don't bother serving the food if it's going to be that bad, it's very wasteful. I always appreciate a hot towelette after a long overnight flight. United offered no such thing which was a first for me. Regarding boarding: they called us all up to line up in boarding groups and then we had to stand in line for 65 minutes. I have a bad back and had to sit on the carpet to avoid being last in line and not having space for my carry on bag. Would have been nicer if they would have just let us sit in the chairs at the gate in comfort until they were ready to board."

Cons: "Because of a delay in SFO to Chicago O'Hare airport I missed my connecting flight back home. My connecting flight left early without me. While boarding the plane in SFO, the people at the gate made me check my carry on bag. Which I thought was very weird. When we finally got to Chicago I stood in line for two and a half hours to talk to one of the worst customer service lady of my life. She swore at me many times over me trying to be polite and wait for her to call me up to find another flight. Instead she looked at me and said "what are you waiting for?" She said to me "Oh here's a flight. But oh wait it's already sold out or gone" and she would laugh. Finally she found a flight close to where I live. My baggage had got lost from my connecting flight leaving without me. I got all of my luggage 2 days after. My carry on bag that got checked at my gate was in a clear trash bag. I took it out of the bag to find that it was completely trashed. My handles were ripped off which put a huge whole revealing all of my personal items. My carry on bag has only been used once and can never be used again. I unpacked my bag and noticed $300 worth of my stuff was missing. I have called to make many complaints to talk to corporate office but no one would give me the correct number. I will NEVER fly United Airlines again. I am so disappointed."

Pros: "United really could have done better informing us of delay, then cancellation. I knew it was likely to be delayed due to weather, and kept checking the status. It wasn't listed as delayed until nearly boarding time, although it seems pretty clear they knew well before that. But SFO was a star. The new decor is sophisticated and comfortable. Bathrooms were like at a swanky night club! Comfy chairs and charging outlets every where. The biggest hit was the Exploratorium installation, which kept my and plenty of other kids entertained!"
Cons: "Wayfinding signage from BART is confusing. BART connection is a pain. The machines in the station only take $1 and $5 bills-- no 20s or credit cards! And no one at BART cares if you are running late for a flight."

Cons: "Flight left about 3-3.5 hours late. Add that to the time you have to show up early to the airport and I could've been almost home in my car. We were boarded and left to sit for a long time then the pilot came on saying the mechanic needed more time to look at the tire which might need to be changed. After another 15-20 min sitting, pilot comes on and says we need to get off the plane so the maintenance could be done. Ok I'd rather fly safe than be on time but really? Why doesn't this airline have enough planes that the maintenance can be done when the plane isn't scheduled to fly? So many people missed connections and we ended up getting home so much later than we had expected! Honestly I would rather the airline have emailed saying flight delayed 3 hours so I could have had more time in SF rather than sitting in an airport eating a mediocre airport meal for dinner. They had to have known the tire was almost to the point of changing right? I mean I would hope it's checked each flight. Just all together inconvenient. Like they book all theses flights to make money and yet if they had fewer but didn't make anyone waste the day or night at the airport so they could perform routine maintenance it may be worth an extra few bucks in my book. My time is valuable too, and I don't think I was the only one on the flight who thought so. Maybe United doesn't value anyone else's time other than theirs. Guess this is why we have several airlines to choose from and we will not likely fly United again."

Cons: "We were diverted from Pittsburgh because of fog. Other flights landed shortly thereafter from other airlines which was frustrating, but a short delay did not ruin the day. We landed instead at Dulles. After sitting and waiting for hours we were finally all put back on the plane. Then we taxied out before the pilot told us they were over their hours or something along those lines and couldn't submit the paperwork necessary to take off. We went back to the gate and were told to wait some more in case there were more pilots. No more pilots came. No more flights were available. Instead we all hovered either around the gate desk or the customer service desk where we were told we couldn't be helped. We were instead forced to pile onto buses nearly 5 hours after we had landed at the wrong airport. We then spent another 6 hours on the road driving to Pittsburgh on a bus that was crowded and hot because the air conditioning kept failing. Because of some fog and a lot of incompetence, I arrived in Pittsburgh over 12 hours after I was supposed to. My trip in total lasted 20 hours from my flight in Seattle taking off. I missed an important event for the wedding that weekend, which was upsetting given the distance I had to travel and the amount of extra time I had scheduled in for myself, but the way we were treated was worse. There was no positive communication. Nobody knew anything. We were clearly an inconvenience that nobody knew what to do with so they just kept trying to push us off to the next person. It was infuriating and unacceptable I will never fly United again if I can possibly help it."

Pros: "I enjoyed very little about this experience. The crew was cordial however they lose the ability to perform simple tasks by the long standing protocols and overcrowded flights. Most of the crew are as unhappy as the passengers."
Cons: "The plane hit the brakes while taking off and returned to the gate due to a warning light. We were told nothing other than we needed to wait. They said the fix took 5 minutes but our wait took 2 hours. Not efficient. They rent out tablets for on plane entertainment, unlike every other plane I've ever flown, they make you pay to keep you happy during a 5.5 hour flight. Food was horrible. The seat did not recline and they eradicate every ounce of comfort to overpack the plane. The Captian made little announcements and the one he did make upon decent, started with "please fasten your seat belts, we are 65 miles away from Honolulu but...", I was sure the "light" came back on 30k feet about the pacific and we were going down. Finally - the last announcement from the head stewardess didn't include "Aloah, thank you for flying United". Seems minor but it goes to show they don't care anymore. That's the first time I hadn't heard the welcomed message after my 20th trip to the Islands. After my return flight I vow to never fly United again."

Pros: "There was nothing to like about this constantly delayed flight with rude attendants at the gate. I will not be flying United again."
Cons: "Everything! Our flight started with a thirty minute delay which was mentioned after we were asked to stand and prepare to board. The flight continued to be pushed out an hour every hour with no reason as to why. Our gate changed and we were told to line up for boarding, then we had another delay. The frustrating part was being told to line up to board only to see another delay. In total, the flight was delayed over four hours, being asked to prepare to board three times and with one gate change. This was not even the worst part, our new plane did not have WiFi, which was promised when booking. Needless to say, the entertainment was bleak. The icing on this flight from hell was when we hit turbulence and two bottles of wine spilt on another passenger and all over the floor. I understand that this happens, but none of the flight attendants attempted to clean up the wine and all the passengers where forced to smell cheap red wine for the remaining eight hours of the flight. I regret to claim that I will not fly United ever again."

Cons: "6 hour delay in SFO is apparently not unusual. Gate agent tells us that they will always bump that flight for other western regional airport since SMF doesn't have a curfew. United could care less and not transparent. And then they have the gull to tell us it was weather related. There was no bad weather anywhere in the western US that day! I tracked the plane backwards online and it never left Cali all day. United lies to shift blame away from their decision to screw all those on that flight. Advise: If you have this connection skip it, rent a car in SFO and drive to SMF. You will be to the good many hours."

Pros: "Got us safely and conveniently to Vic at a good price and on time. Flight attendant was fine and cooperative, though no special warmth."
Cons: "I have one star on food and entertainment because there wasn't any of either, but that's understandable for a short flight. No issues."

Cons: "My flight was delayed over FOUR HOURS! My flight was supposed to take off at 2:53 pm and we didn’t leave SFO until 6:39 pm! I received a text message at 9 am telling me that the flight was delayed until 4:05 pm....okay, no problem, I had not left for the airport yet, so no biggie. At 10:48 am, I received another text that the flight was delayed until 3:35 pm...still not a problem. A couple of minutes later, another text. My flight is now on time. Still no problem, because I usually add in 30 minutes in case Murphy of Murphy’s law shows up and throws a wrench into things. I get to the airport with plenty of time to spare & clear security... then get a new text notification at 2:08 saying that the flight is delayed for FOUR HOURS!!! Are you kidding me? On top of that, the customer service representatives made an announcement that there was a maintenance problem with the original airplane and a new one was enroute to take up the slack. They said this as a statement and offered no apologies or sorry for the inconvenience. They stayed at the check in desk for an hour, and then left and didn’t come bac until 20 minutes before the plane arrived at the gate. I will NEVER fly this airline again!"

Cons: "The very 1st words I heard out of the mouth from the very 1st frontier employee I met was "this is going to be a bad day". When they checked my bag they never said thank you, for us flying with frontier. When boarding, the "bad day" employee treated the customers as if they were cattle. Not one stewardess smile the entire flight. And when I asked to stretch after using the facilities only 1 time during the 4 hour flight, I was told (in a very sarcastic voice) "as long as you don't come into our area!" Followed by a faded whisper of "shiiiiiiit". All this, plus a 3 hour delay. What more could you ask for? Next time, I'll pay a little more for the customer service."

Pros: "The price of the flight was great, but even with an upgraded seat I will not be flying Frontier again."
Cons: "I upgraded my girlfriend and I to stretch seating for our 5 hour flights roundtrip from ATL to SFO. I did not realize by upgrading and selecting my seat in row 4 that my seats do not recline. This caused several issues with my bad back and with the fold down tray on the seat in front of me. I had my laptop on the tray, and when the person in front of me leaned his seat back all the way suddenly, it pinched the top of the screen between the tray and the back of his seat and cracked my laptop exterior. The main issue was not being able to "stretch" by not having a reclining seat and experienced major discomfort and back pain both flights."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed 2 hours leaving San Francisco going to Orlando. My mother checked a bag which cost $35. The ticketing agent picked up her bag and slammed it down on the conveyor belt. I was so shocked at the rough handling of my mothers belongings and the fact that the agent didn't give a care. My sister and I were charged $45 each for our carry-on bags. They began boarding us but the flight crew made us wait on the walkway to the plane for 15 minutes before they let us on the plane. The flight crew was rude and disorganized. The seats did not recline, next no padding and the chair back in front had no padding at all. There were no complimentary drinks or food provided on the 5 hr flight. We were threatened by the passenger behind us twice but no assistance was given by the flight crew. We are extremely disappointed and will never fly Frontier again. We should have paid the extra money to fly Delta from TPA which would have taken 2 hours off of our drive time. We visited Frontier's website which provides nothing but excuses for why they charge extra for EVERYTHING. Overall Frontier may have some of the cheaper flights but after you're done paying for the extras you may as well fly with a carrier that provides more comfort and better service. Frontier has lost our business."

Cons: "Delayed flights to and from my destination and during lay overs. When I approached staff about my connecting flight I was told I would make it. Our plane taxied into the gate my connecting flight was docked at. We waited in the plane so my connecting flight could take off. In turn I wasn't pushed to a flight 5 hours later. I left my accommodations at 6:15AM. Due to layovers and delays I will not be home until 11:15PM. Also planes required "maintenance" each time and still had no running water and jammed overhead compartments."

Pros: "The airplane was clean."
Cons: "The seats were not reclinable and for a 3.5 hour flight in which I wanted to get in some sleep I was unable to sleep. Also the seats were very narrow and with almost no padding. I could feel the padding had wore off and my back was touching with the metal of the seat. Add all that up together and instead of a regular airplane seat it was like seating on a rigid chair for 3.5 hours. Moreover, since I couldn't sleep I decided to at least get in some work, but then I realized that the tray was so tiny that it can't even fit the smallest of laptops... I know it is a low cost airline, but paying for carry ons, checked bags, selecting seats and on flight beverages is plenty for a low cost airline. Frontier doesn't need to top it off with the most new uncomfortable seats possible. At least with Ryanair the seats are more comfortable, you can bring a carry on at no cost and the flight ticket is cheaper."

Cons: "Flight from SFO to DEN was delayed. At check in i expressed concern about missing connecting DEN to PHL red eye (9min window) and was reassured that I "will make the flight." The flight arrived in Denver later than anticipated and the connecting red eye to PHL departed 5mins prior to landing. I was then placed on the next available flight- 5/29 at 6:55pm with arrival to PHL on 5/30 at 1am. No accomandations, re-routing options were given. I then attempted to file a complaint with the airline customer service number twice but both times no complaint was filed. The customer service rep promised to put me on an earlier flight to Trenton and refund my ticket. So I sat on the floor of the airport until ticketing opened at 4am where I was informed that no complaints were filed, I would not be refunded and the Trenton flight was not available. Also requests to retrieve my bag were ignored at the gate. I would have to spend the next 4 hours trying to locate it. I had to be in PHL today for work. I purchased a ticket on southwest."

Pros: "The airline agents had pleasant personalities."
Cons: "My travel experience with Frontier was frustrating. They seem like a new company that doesn't have a lot of experience running an airline business. The airline agents seemed inexperienced. I had a long wait in line to just drop my checked bag for my outgoing flight, and there were only a few people in line ahead of me. We were at least a half hour late taking off after the pilot said we would be in the air in a minute. During take off, the plane swerved in an alarming way I had never felt before. They only served complimentary water on my long flight to California, everything else you had to pay for. I had another long wait just to drop my checked bag for my return flight, first because there was no one at the Frontier counter for at least an hour after I arrived at the airport, then because the line moved very slowly. My return flight was delayed almost 2 hours, and when I boarded the plane and found the window seat I paid extra for, the flight attendant told me that my seat was taken by a family that wanted to stay together. She told me I could either break up the family or sit in a middle seat close by. I agreed to take the middle seat but it wasn't until I told her I paid for the window seat that she offered to find another window seat for me. In the end, the cheap ticket price wasn't worth it, after paying to check luggage both ways and paying for the window seat. I found myself wishing I would have gone with a different airline. I doubt I'll fly with Frontier again."

Pros: "Fast boarding. The crew were friendly, and clearly a lot of regular commuters and travelers were on this route. More like a local bus ride. The energy was positive and the process efficient."
Cons: "My seatbelt was damaged and old. The belt was twisted, the tension clamp did not work, and the stitching on the air bag sleeve ( I was in the 1st row) was coming out. The plane had a lot of interior pieces missing, trim pieces falling of, little holes etc. I realize that this doesn't impact the over all mechanical safety - yet if they can't even replace a seat belt or fix a piece of trim how do I know that the engines and flight computers are in good shape ? I am a product developer, marketer, and also a motorcycle rider. So I understand the stats, still I don't want a janky plane ride with broken pieces."

Pros: "The price was right. I see all these complaints about the pricing scheme and just think the people who bought these tickets didn't read anything while they looked for prices. It is clear on the website that carry-on and checked bags are added fees. Even with added fees for a carry-on/overhead bag this price was $200 less than the closest competitor. Ticket was purchased the day before the flight. Nice that Frontier is also in the TSA PRE-CHECK program for screening at the airport. That was a time saver for sure."
Cons: "Seats have NO padding. For a long red eye flight, this made for an uncomfortable TOTAL of 5 hours for the combined trip. People getting on maybe don't fly much because the boarding process was hectic AND long to complete."

Cons: "I checked in early online the night before my flight only to stand in line for 45-55 minutes to drop off my bag. They also didn't have anyone working the counters until about an hour and a half before my flight departure time. Myself and about 100 others were standing in line for about 20 minutes before anyone showed up to help us check in or take our bags. I was charged a seat fee for both of my flights ( I purchased a round trip ticket) I'm pretty sure that should have been included in my initial ticket purchase. To have a carry on requires an additional fee that is more expensive than it is to check a bag. The website said these charges were to give us the best ticket prices however with all the additional fees it was significantly more expensive than their competitors. I will not fly with Frontier again."

Pros: "I really enjoyed the camaraderie i shared with my fellow passengers. Adversity really brings people together."
Cons: "Frontier as a whole, I was unaware, is a 'not good' airline. Smallest seats I've yet experienced, no recline, no legroom. If you don't want to pay $35 to check a bag, it's cool they understand, they'll happily take $40 to let you carry a bag on. Well, not happily. More begrudgingly than happily. Customer service was poor, bordering on hostile from one sky waitress in particular. It's hard to blame the airline's employees for their poor attitude, as I would be disheartened and upset if I was surrounded by a plane-full of customers vowing to 'never fly frontier again'"

Pros: "I booked a RT ticket from FL to San Francisco. The idea was I fly my kids into SFO and travel together for vacation from there. My flight was delayed for hours then canceled. i booked a united flight for $70 one way to make my transfer to Asia with the kids. On the return I was concerned they may cancel the return leg. All was fine and I had 2 days in SF to unwind. Well mynreturn flight was also delayed 6 hours then canceled. Had 9 flights I. Asia with no problem vs both flights being can led. I have not slept in over 40 hours as a result. Will never fly this airline again."

Cons: "Extreme weather canceled the flight. Not the problem. No next flight without my 19 year-old daughter flying alone without having to sleep in tge airport in Denver. We did not accept this. 5 days later there was an open flight. I felt Frontier should have gone further to find another airline that could have beat the five day delay, or offered a hotel voucher for an overnight in Denver. We cancelled the trip and found another airline on our own. Getting a refund: frontier web info says refund, Frontier person on the phone said refund, but cancelation email says 90-day credit. Very inconsistent messaging and not at all in the favor of my daughter. We gave Frontier a try. Sadly disappointed."

Pros: "Nothing -a nightmare trip - delayed 6 hrs in Dia -also waited 2hrs for wheelchair-dirty airplane -diaper under seat & crumbs not cleaned after paying for seat, luggage, food even water,( none of which was mentioned in booking) tips, taxi(no buses to late) cost me over $200 no service on airline. Midnite when arrived SF so no buses to Petaluma so more $ to get there At 81 yrs old I do not like to see such poor mgt No pilots, no crew, no info- was sent to 8 gates from 4 to 10 o"clock no wheelchair- I was at airport at noon- and did not see a bed until 2:30 in morning Have never had treatment like this in my life time and I have gone via Frontier many times to Minot ND HNY Ferne Axelsen"

Cons: "I booked my flight then reserved and paid for my seat a few days later on Dec. 4th (a month before my flight). I chose an exit window seat because it was a red eye and I wanted to be as comfortable as possible. I received a confirmation email with my seat number. The day of my flight I checked in online and they made me choose a different seat than the one I had already chosen. I again chose a window exit seat but had to pay a difference of $4. I got on the plane looking for my seat 11A only to discover that there was no row 11. They put me in a non-exist row! They then asked me to sit in an aisle seat because that was the only one left. The flight attendant told me to go to the desk when we landed and get a seat refund. I got to the desk to meet a very unfriendly woman. I told her my situation and she told me I would have to call customer service. Never flying Frontier again! How could I possibly be assigned a seat that didn't exist?! I talked to some other people and they said the same thing happened to them."

Pros: "Literally nothing. Absolutely a hellish, terrible nightmare experience in every way."
Cons: "- Frontier literally just threw everyone's bags from over 10 different flights in a giant mess all over the airport. And then was extremely rude to their customers about it. I can't even make this up. - Frontier unloaded bags from multiple flights on the same baggage claim section, and would only partially load certain flights. For instance, they only loaded 1/2 of the bags from my San Francisco flight, and I had to wait a whole day to get my bag bag in a giant mess of bags. - People had been waiting in line for literally 4 hours to talk to someone and when I finally got to the customer service desk she was making small talk and giggling and told me to go to the back of the line and said "well you can keep on waiting" when I said maybe she should have more of a sense of urgency for these poor travelers stuck in the airport literally all day and night. This was also the person in charge of the bags - a catch employee! - They told me they would give me a refund for my cancelled flight and refused to give me a receipt for my refund. They said "we don't give receipts." - Seats were extremely tiny and uncomfortable. - When we landed at the gate we had to stay on our plane for over 1.5 HOURS just waiting to get off because there wasn't a gate available. - They made no effort to reschedule me after my flight was cancelled."

Pros: "Not only were my fiancé and I hit with $130 in fees for baggage, the night prior we decided to upgrade our seats to row 1 for extra leg room for an additional $90. Little did we know for that price we'd be jeopardizing the ability to reclining our seats...on a red eye flight. I'm incredibly disappointed in frontier. I use to fly them frequently to/from SFO to the Midwest and the quality of service has decreased tremendously! These additional fees you tack on are taking advantage of customers and unethical. My family and I will not be flying with Frontier again."

Cons: "Seats not reclining, not very comfortable. To be told I had to Pay for my tiny bag to check instead of taking on plane. If I took it to the gate it would cost 60 to check at gate. Then to only be offered free water on the flight when I paid a lot for my one way flight. It seemed like a slap in the face to be told frontier is growing so fast and opening in new cities with 120 planes ordered, but they can't offer you a free juice and maybe some pretzels. I always liked frontier mainly because they were based out of Denver, but it feels like money is the only driving factor now. I fly a lot but doubt I'll fly frontier again."

Cons: "Everything else. Horrendous customer service. Two legs of the flight were delayed for hours (both for mechanical reasons). They had no other flights to my destination but they would not rebook through another carrier (there were nearly a dozen flights on other carriers) or refund my money. They do not recognize FAA Rule 240 (which I know they don't have to but most airlines do under these circumstances). They looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. I spend 9+ hours at the Denver airport through no fault of my own and I got to my destination at 3:00 am the following morning (instead of the originally scheduled 10:50pm -the night before - arrival time)."

Cons: "This deserves a negative star. Cut-rate experience in every way. Luggage took over an hour at DIA, and my bag didn't come out. I went to the luggage desk and they said to fill out a form and they'd get back within 48 hours. Extremely rude and disinterested treatment. They couldn't even check whether my bag made the flight etc?. After persisting they said to check ALL the carousels at DIA - it turned up on another carousel. Unpleasant way to begin my vacation - won't use them again. It also wasn't clear at booking that carry-ons are charged."

Cons: "Frontier made it very clear that it does not value its customers. I arrived a whopping 3.5 hours early to my flight from San Fransisco to Denver. I proceeded through security and my online boarding pass wouldn't scan. I was sent back to the check-in desk where I was met with 4 non-operating kiosks, a vacant check-in counter, and a sign saying they would re-open 2 hours later. What! I was soon joined by many many others who were sent back from security for the same reason. Some people had printout boarding passes that wouldn't scan at security! This was all on a Sunday afternoon, busy busy time for travel. Other complaints that severely impacted my travel experience: 1) Did not send me a flight reminder email or a boarding pass confirmation email. 2) At online check-in, Frontier charged me for my seat. The seat I already paid for! Frontier would not issue my boarding pass until I paid for my seat. That I already paid for. 3) Frontier charged me $30 for my carry-on. Get a clue Frontier! 4) The seats did not have headrests and the legroom was the smallest ever! I don't know how adult-sized people fly Frontier comfortably. 5) Frontier charges for snacks and drinks on the plane. Nothing is complimentary. Again, get a clue Frontier! I will never fly Frontier again."

Cons: "Two of my checked bags were lost. One I needed for a presentation at work. The other was needed for my backpacking gear. The bags were lost on Sunday morning. I needed both bags on Monday by 9am. I was finally told the bags would be delivered at 10am Monday and could take up to 4 hours to arrive. My presentation at work was a disaster as I only had half of the material I needed. And now it is 10am on Monday I am suppose to be heading to Tenessee with a large group of children for a backpacking trip and I'm trapped at home with no gear. This mistake is now effecting at least 10-15 families whose children I'm suppose to take into the wilderness. Bags get lost. I get that. Frontier has offered no compensation and barley an apology. I will never fly with this company again. I guess you get what you pay for. Very disappointed."

Pros: "Low fare was nice.. but the subsequent nickel-and-diming business practices left a bad taste in our mouths. No in-flight entertainment or proper meal options either. A gate change was poorly communicated, and passengers from 2-3 flights were congregating in the gate trying to decipher the poorly written message (illogical, broken English) on the display behind the agent's desk. That agent was nice enough, but she seemed very untrained and incapable of handling the situation. The boarding gate agent was even worse (see other review)."
Cons: "When asked, the boarding gate agent told us the boarding door was "closing in 1 minute" so that we would hurry up and board. We did, then while waiting in line on the jet bridge, we noticed on our boarding passes that there was another 18 minutes scheduled for boarding. This was infuriating because we wanted to stop by the grab-and-go cafe next to the gate, to pickup food for the cross-country flight (SFO>ATL), especially since Frontier does not offer proper meals onboard. We turned around and confronted the agent about this, and she admitted that she lied to us so that we would board. Lying to customers for any reason is totally unacceptable, and we won't forget this."

Cons: "I booked this flight because it seemed an unbelievable value. Well, the price was, indeed, too good to be true. Upon receiving the reminder to book, I discovered they charge not only for checked in bags but for carry-ons. Oh, and they charge more if you don't book more than 24 hours in advance. Oh, and they charge for choosing your seat (that I didn't go for). The food for purchase stinks (only bad snacks for a four hour flight), the seats are uncomfortable, it did take off and arrive on time, I'll give it that. But after adding on $120 for my checked carry-on fee, it was no bargain, I will never fly this airline again."

Cons: "Over an hour delay in leaving SFO due to poor management (the passengers deplaning from our plane had been kept on the Tarmac for 2 hours before being release b/c Frontier could not find a gate for them). Then a 2 hr 20" flight took 20" longer. To add insult to injury, we were ot offered so much as a glass of water but would be allowed to purchase one. There was a lengthy delay deplaning as we allowed the passengers with connecting flights (half the plane) to deplane first. The we waited over an hour to claim our baggage, after the carousel was changed 3 times. I will not fly Frontier again!"

Pros: "I didn't like anything about traveling with Frontier."
Cons: "Upcharge for Seats, Upcharge for Checked Bags, Upcharge for Carry Ons, Upcharge for Water. They charge you for water. That seems illegal. The flight was delayed, the gate was changed. We had to change gates which means we had to go through security twice. The staff blamed everyone and everything else (even the passengers) for all the issues and took ZERO responsibility for anything. I can't believe they are still in business with this level of customer service. The flight attendants were ghetto too. Making light of a bad situation by saying the worst things possible. Total embarasment transfer. I'll never fly Frontier again and will think twice about booking travel with Kayak."

Pros: "Co-pilot who had to explain to passengers why so many flaws occurred in this flight, she tried to be humorous."
Cons: "Flight 1884 out of SFO was doomed from the beginning starting with a notice (thanks Kayak) via email that the flight would be 1 hour late. Then, the Departure board at the airport totally dropped the flight, Then (again thru Kayak) I read that the flight would NOT board in terminal 1, Gate 21, Domestic terminal, but ar gate A3 in the International terminal. We all had to exit domestic and go to international and again through TSA. Then the flight departed another 30 minutes late finally over 2 hours LATE! Upon arrival at Phoenix the plane taxied too far away from the exit ramp-another 40 minutes before we could depart. It was an awful flight experience. Did they offer a free soda or anything for inconvenience we experienced-NOT A THING!"

Cons: "Frontier charges for everything. At check-in the attendant told me I could either bring my bag on the flight for $45 or check it for $40. I wish I knew all this before booking my ticket. I would've just paid extra for a different airline. At least I would've had better service. Every Feontier employee I came into contact with was either jaded or grumpy, as if hey hated their jobs, which made the experience even worse. All of my flights were delayed for whatever reason, and dealing with the staff made the experience that much worse. Most of them were so rude!"

Pros: "Great pilot, the plane hit some sever turbulence as we approached Denver International airport. I wasn't concerned since this was a new aircraft but if it was an older one it would have sustained structural damage. The pilot aborted the landing and flew over Denver and came in from a different direction. Everyone on the plane cheered when the pilot landed the plane safely."
Cons: "I was charged a fee to select a seat, not one with more leg room just any seat. Also, I was charged $40. for just one carry on. In addition on this new AIRBUS 320 the seats are so close together in the rows that they should issue a warning that if you are taller than 6 ft. 3 in. you won't be able to sit in the seat because your knees will be in contact with the seat in front of you. I'm 6 ft. 4 in. so luckily this was only a 2 hour flight. I also choose an aisle seat so I could put my feet in the aisle."

Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "Hidden fees (you pay to pick your seat! you pay for carry on!) jacked the price of this flight up $100. Would have appreciated knowing that these fees existed before booking. Customer Service was nonexistent. Absolutely NOBODY could change my ticket after 12 hours of delays made it impossible for me to make it to my connecting flight to my final destination. I tried the customer service center, the gate, calling corporate, the gate again, customer service again. NOBODY COULD DO IT! I am still in Denver and have not made it to my final destination."

Pros: "The flight was relatively short, and once we boarded we moved out pretty quickly. Bags were delivered quickly as well at the end of the flight"
Cons: "THe flight was delayed by close to two hours, but more surprising was the amount of extraunexpected money we had to spend for basics-close to $30.00 each to "pick" seats, $130.00 each for baggage (yes you have to pay for any luggage beyond one personal item like a purse), money for food, etc. There are not even basics on the lfight such as blankets, and the seats don't recline. Overall, not an airline I would choose again as the "bargain" price turns out to be full of hidden costs that weren't clearly explained upfront"

Cons: "Multiple delays, poor communication from staff, flight was moved to a different terminal (international) but no staff member went around to notify sleeping passengers (this occurred around 1am but other passengers woke up those sleeping at the original gate, had to walk from domestic to international due to the late hour, flight cancelled at 3:30 in the morning, first told crew timed out then that since original delay for the crew was weather related that the passengers are not 'entitled to compensation' and that we were 'invited to stay and sleep at the gate' while crew was off duty, multiple phone calls to customer service yielded minimal results, airline reimbursed hotel but NOT transportation up to $150 but passengers had to identify hotels at 3:30-4am without assistance (can't find a hotel at that hour or that rate near SFO, rescheduled flight was then delayed over 2 hours, gate agents unable to use computer system or print and almost denied boarding after their attempt to check myself and the rest of our party in accidentally removed us from the seat map"

Pros: "I made it alive"
Cons: "Everything else. We left late (couple hours), the attendents said looking like a 7:15 departure... No update...8:10 departure, ran out of the snack items we wanted, no wifi, uncomfortable chair, no entertainment, arrived but then sat on Tarmac, again attendent said just a few minutes but 25 later we moved to gate just to wait for the crew that wasn't there yet. Seemed really super unorganized and would have been better if they just told us straight up how long it was going to take. Cost me a whole bunch of money. I would have just flown the next day and skipped a night at a hotel, a car rental, taxis and we were so late we didn't even get to eat before bed. Absolutely the worst flight ever. Hard to believe since it is only two hours and I travel a lot! Won't be traveling Frontier again."

Cons: "Told at the checkin desk it's $35 per person to "confirm our seats" -- two in the exit row as all that remained. Why? I paid $250 per person to confirm I wanted on the aircraft. I showed up 1.5 hours early to check in. Also told at the desk it's $40 per checked bag ($45 per carry on!). So when I get to the airport I'm forced to pay $150 more, just to fly to my destination. Credit card only. The lady checking in next to me paid me cash so I'd help her pay her extra fees. Not how to treat your customers. That's what I call a scam. If all this was in the small print, I missed it, and it was tough to find, having booked through Kayak. Won't be duped again. Goodbye, Frontier."

Pros: "Frontier airlines boarded relatively smoothly and there was sufficient room for my carry-on luggage. Even though I didn't pay for a seat assignment, my wife and I were seated together. The crew was generally friendly and cooperative."
Cons: "Hidden fees are a deal-breaker for me here. They try to get you to pay for seat assignments, although you don't have to. If you don't pay for a seat assignment, there is a risk you may not be seated with the rest of your party. You do have to pay to bring a carry-on, which I didn't realize. The added cost of $40 (if you pay in advance, $55 if you forget and pay at the airport) to carry on a piece of luggage that is typically free makes this far less of a bargain than advertised. I felt misled and taken advantage of. Since we realized this the day before our flight, my wife and I shared one carry on to keep the cost down. For us, the tickets ended up costing $80 more than I realized. If we had each had our own carry on, the total added cost would be $160 which seems like quite a ripoff."

Pros: "even though we left an hour late, we still arrived at our destination on time."
Cons: "our flight left about an hour late; we were told our exit row seats would recline (but they didn't); no in-flight entertainment; very uncomfortable and couldn't sleep on the red-eye as i am able to with other airlines. also, had to pay $40 per luggage to check in (vs $45 to carry on) - however, we saved about $150 total flying frontier (bag checked included) vs other airlines. it was annoying though that we weren't able to easil add bags to our itinerary upon checkout on this site. BIGGEST disappointment was that frontier did not participate in TSA-pre check, which i suppose was fine for this flight since we left an hour late, anyway."

Pros: "Didn't like the "bait and switch " tactics Feontier does. Having to pay for a seat assignment and for brining a bag was ridiculous. The total cost of round trip seat assignment and bag charges was $122.00!!! This add-on was never mentioned in the price shown on Kayak's site. This add-on was an extra 31% of the "advertised" price shown on Kayak! This important information should have been mentioned on the comparative quote given so a more realistic price comparison decision could be made. I won't be using Frontier again."

Pros: "Enjoyed the crew and their jovial nature. Very friendly all around. Prices are great, but alas you get what you pay for in the end."
Cons: "The seats are extremely cramped. Granted I'm a bit of a bigger person the super small guy next to me couldn't keep from jabbing me with their elbow or bumping knees on occasion. There's also minimal leg room and almost not enough space to be able to get something out of the bag you put under the seat in front of you. On both flights I was on the "air conditioner" didn't seem to work. As in it put out air but it was not cool air. On the return flight we ended up having to wait over an hour to get our baggage at an airport that was significantly smaller that the one we had flown into before."

Pros: "clean plane"
Cons: "I haven't flown Frontier in a while. I didn't realize I have to buy my seat too? What the heck is that? Sure it's only another $13 min. But here's the catch, you get a seat They've replaced the pull down table with a small flip down "table" that is about 1/3 the size of a standard table. While this does offer more legroom, it makes eating difficult and uncomfortable. I could not rest a standard square salad container on it during the flight. Luckily, I had a plastic bag from the vendor that I could put over my slacks to act as a big placemat. I didn't want to spill dressing on my pants. No WIFI onboard In short, I will be avoiding Frontier in the future. I do fly budget airlines like SW, but at least the attitude there is better. And what you get is clear."

Pros: "Pretty much nothing."
Cons: "The fact that you have to pay for a seat - any seat - and carry on, and water, for God's sake. Unreal. Rude flight crew ("take your body parts out of the aisles"), incompetent and rude boarding crew (completely ignoring boarding order, except to make one elderly Asian man leave the line - while clearly letting everyone else board in whatever order they pleased.) Horrible plane - ridiculously uncomfortable seats, no legroom at all. I am 5'10", healthy and middle-aged, and sat with my legs crunched for 4 1/2 hours, leaving me almost unable to walk after the flight. I will never ever fly Frontier again if I can help it. And I will absolutely tell everyone I can not to either. Awful experience."

Cons: "Your check in on line is too confusing. Too much advertising mixed in with the check in process. Your food and beverage service SUCKS. No snacks or drinks unless you pay. Prices are rediculas for a drink. One little bag of peanuts or crackers and a soda is not too much to ask. We already pay too much for the ticket and luggage fees now we have to pay for a snack and drink. This may be my last frontier flight. And when are you going to get a better boarding system so I don't have to crawl across two people to get to my seat??"

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Start with paying for a carry-on, which made this "cheap" flight as expensive as a better airline. And paying for a seat assignment?! Didn't get a chance to experience paying for water onboard, as the entire flight was cancelled. Thanks to their lack of connection to other airlines, they couldn't get us where we were going prior to our RETURN date. So our lodging, car rental, etc all were completely wasted, at our expense - no vacation, but still had to pay for it. "Nothing we can do, sorry, it's the weather..." Really?! Weather explains a delay, not torpedoing the entire vacation. This airline is the absolute pits."

Pros: "I'm typically on the Thursday flight from SFO to ORD. For the most part the flight has departed on time and arrived into Chicago early or ahead of scheduled arrival. The seats and space is comfortable. The price is also very competitive over all. The planes have generally been clean. I like the early flight time from SFO and option to arrive into ORD at a reasonable hour."
Cons: "Flight crew is generally rude, and unfriendly. You can notice the difference in professionalism between the flight crew on American Air or Virgin than Frontier. The take off/and landing is not the smoothest, and the navigation through turbulence is poor. The customer service agents at the airports have been rude. I was in the airport security line for over an hour. I had asked an Customer Service rep for help that was walking by to avoid missing my flight. The person ignored me and continued walking. The service charge for carry on is not favorable. I dislike arriving early into Chicago and having to wait on the run way for over 15-20 min before we can get to a gate. Defeats the early arrival."

Cons: "I had a pretty unpleasant experience with Frontier on 12/21/15. Rain in San Francisco caused flight delays. Go figure. Frontier kept us waiting for six hours then cancelled the flight. They were rude; they didn't help their customers, including families with kids, get on other airlines; said they would try to getpeople out of SFO in the next couple days! When I realized I would not get to the wedding I was trying to attend, they siad they wouldn't refund my money' When I insistedon a refund they then said there would be a $19.99 cancellation fee. Eventually, they agreed on a refund. Pretty poor way to run a business. On the other hand, when I needed to cancel my Enterprise car rental, I was able to do it in less than two minutes over the phone - no hassle."
