Cons: I received text messages that my return flight EWR-SJC on 4/17 was delayed. About 2 hours later they said the flight was cancelled with no explanation given. I was informed that they booked me on another flight to San Diego arriving 10:30pm (what good does that do me when I need to get back to San Jose?!). I called Alaska and was on hold for 25minutes before speaking to an agent. Explained the situation and she was able to help and book me on two United flights on 4/18. I experienced a lot of aggravation on this trip. The only solace is that Alaska issued a $400 credit. That is nice but I would like to get an explanation of what happened here!

Cons: 1) not that alaska does any worse than others, but boarding is increasingly unpleasant. 5 grades of 'rewards' groups boards, then children, then military, then the elderly, etc. by the time people who paid full fair for their tickets board there's no overhead space left. by charging for any checked bags, the airlines are creating a very stressful and disorganized boarding experience; 2) the ambiance is just dull: cheesy music, dull, grey colors, poor lighting, etc. it just feels as if you're in a space designed by someone with no taste--and this is from the company that bought and killed virgin!? 3) the food is the same cheese plate and tapas plate i get on other airlines. 4) no special greeting upon boarding. it wouldn't take much to make the entire experience pleasant, but alaska and others don't feel the need to make the effort.

Also it’s not even full so there’s no way it’s too heavy” also how would she know by looking how much it weights? In short she got very angry at me and said i have no choice but to check it. Then went over to counter and the lady said “you don’t need to check this is the correct size” she was very nice and i explained what happened. They asked for volunteers to check their bags and I volunteered and when I made a connecting flight to Kauai (final stop Oahu which is a 35 min flight) I tried to switch my flight to an earlier one because I realized That I had a four hour layover before my 35 min flight -_- and they said that I would have been able to but since I checked my carry on I couldn't. And they said it was because my bag would get there much later than me - which I was upset about but understood. Fast forward 4 1/2 hours later and I land on Oahu. My bag is sitting at the terminal because it came over on a plane that got there before me. Totally unhappy - I fly to California and back almost every month and I've never had an experience like this

Of all the seats with windows on this plane, how could someone do this? Then when we loaded they placed one of our carryon bags in the back of the plane. Pros: Delta is the airline to fly if you have to fly (like I did) during a pandemic. They made sure at every turn we felt as safe as possible. They had passengers distanced from each other the whole time, handed out sanitizing wipes as we walked on the plane, made sure folks kept their masks on, gave us individual little baggies with snacks and water bottles that also had individual hand sanitizer packets. I felt so much more safe flying Delta on my way home to Hawaii in July than I did when I flew American Airlines on my way to the mainland in June.

But this is par for the course flying to Hawaii for some reason, no matter the carrier. Hawaiian Airlines is usually better but that’s to be expected.

Cons: No WiFi at all on the plane. Entertainment was only their station on screens on the barriers. As often happens with American First Class staff, they did the requirements in the same way service is better at chipotle than Taco Bell. Interior plane noise was very loud. Cons: All the choices to eat were laden with gluten, salt, and sugar. Surely a salad is no heavier than what they carry, but might not last as long. For those of us gluten-sensitive, watching our glucose levels, or salt intake there’s nothing. A 40 minute gate change from B29 to A11 in PHX was barely long enough to walk far less find and buy a healthy meal. Yet again I arose at 4am and had nothing to eat until after 4pm. ALL the airlines can do better.
Cons: There should be more number of check in bags for passengers. At the least the overhead bins should be allowed to the passengers.
Pros: Flight was routine except that I was astonished and pleased that the movie was “Love Simon”. Thank you American for maybe helping to change some attitudes in the center of the country.

Cons: American Airlines (British Airlines partners) are a horrible airline. My 8 am flight has a mechanical issue. Which they kept up on the plane till 11. Now no mater what other plane I catch idmiss my connection in Dallas. Which means I don’t get to Paris on time. Which ruined my plans to surprise my gf and propose to her. It took one call to British Airlines to get me rebooked. Something american was taking hours. I still won’t make it on time but at least I’ll make it. American then misplaced my luggage and it took two hours to retrieve it. Turns out it was sitting behind the counter the whole time the kept telling me it would be on the baggage flame area.

Cons: Oh man, I have so many things I need to say. I tried giving AA a chance, but compared to when I flew on WestJest two months prior for almost the exact same trip (I flew to San Francisco versus San Jose that time), WestJet was by far more superior in terms of customer service, boarding organization, and friendliness. First of all, what bugged me profusely was the lack of seat selection and the crazy pricing for certain seats. On WestJet, the emergency exit seats were available without any additional cost, yet AA was charging $66 USD to sit there. Furthermore, seats closer to Business class also carried a charge of $25 (or something like that) - ONLY because you get to board sooner. I would understand if there was extra legroom involved, but really, it's just a matter of sitting and getting off before anyone else. If anything, those seats should be given to passengers who have tight connecting flights and need to get off asap. even in those cases, you shouldn't be charging someone almost $30 just so they can make it to their next flight that YOUR company arranged within such a short time frame. But the most annoying thing about my trip with AA was the fact that I had to take out all of my belongings from my carry-on and carry them in my arms because there was no room left in the overhead compartments. Excuse me?? How is there not enough room? So I had to walk with my laptop, my iPad, my Beats headphones, my laptop and iPad charger, amongst other things, in my hands to the aircraft. Thank goodness I found a plastic bag, because otherwise I probably would have lost something expensive on that plane. Furthermore, as I walked to my seat, there was most definitely places that I could have stowed my carry-on luggage in the overhead compartments. You shouldn't let people put things like purses and bags of food in the overhead, when those can be stowed underneath the seats in front.
Cons: The plane had several problems mechanically. After we boarded we spent another hour waiting for the problems to be repaired. It added an extra hour to sitting.
Pros: Although the flight was delayed from San Jose and Chicago yet they reached as per original schedule time

Pros: It was empty and there was a lot of room. It was nice and quiet. They still served snacks and drinks. Can't complain!
Cons: The flight attendants were not very pleasant; almost pretentious. One had a passive aggressive attitude towards an older couple next to me with questions regarding the exit seats. The flight attendant was short and quick to snap. This was the couples first trip to hawaii and the attendant gave them a sour impression leaving the plane. I was disappointed.
