No non-alcoholic drinks available except water and small apple juice cans.
Did not travel - unexpected medical emergency. Nonrefundable tickets, but Alaska Air sent credit vouchers for the entire amount (very generous, and I didn't expect that). However, I paid for insurance with Kayak's partner company. The 'insurance' might pay for lost baggage, but they referred to the contract in refusing to a dime on the policy. (If you died from a heart attack in the waiting area, I suspect they would claim the right to DENY if your general practitioner had found high blood pressure previously and prescribed daily HTCZ pills - even tiny ones.) They described a policy to deny any claim with even the slightest whiff of pre-existing. I suspect that they probably almost NEVER pay money out on a medical claim, and that their 'local medical assistance' has no coverage either - that it's just an abusive profit center sending gigantic bills while contributing nothing from your 'policy coverage'.
I wouldn’t fly with Alaska again if you paid me.
The flight was delayed for an hour, while we sat in the plane.
If you change a gate number while customer is at the airport, you should let your customer know. You also assigned my seat to someone else, and again, never notified me about that. Your flight attendant seemed annoyed at having to find me another seat. No apologies for AA doing any changes.
We were asked to be flexible and change our date and flight for $25. We met guests who were paid much more. Our seats assigned were the last row backing to the wonderful smell & sounds of the restroom. People waiting in line to use it as well. Further, we could not use the $50 to pay for our $120 baggage fees.
Paid for first class received 3rd class treatment. No WI Fi, no in flight entertainment, noin flight beverage service. Had to go OUTSIDE in rain to board aircraft using a stairway
Our flights were delayed by almost three hours, which threw a wrench in my plans.
Extremely poor, 1st time this has happened though. Traveling during the holidays, didn’t receive an update that our flight was delayed 3hrs. Lost our place in Airport Spot Saver to go through crazy long line at TSA, gate change and then another hour delay (makes it 4hr delay for a 2 hr flight to Las Vegas), stayed on tarmac for almost 25mins after landing. So 6.5hrs from Seattle to LAs Vegas. Could have went to Cancun instead.
This is the first time flying through Alaska. On my way to my destination, they left my luggage behind. My luggage landed the day after. Coming back, the flight was delayed and missed my connecting flight. Costumer service was not helpful. We have to rent a car on our own to go back to our final destination. Next time, I prefer to pay the extra and flight through Delta.
Paid $35 and not able to access the internet at all.
Several delays. Next flight was worse. Did not arrive home until 2am PT
Very helpful ground crew after an earlier flight delay and being rebooked on a different flight.
Everything about the flight was lovely…We left early, arrived early, cabin crew were efficient and helpful. Flight was easy and most pleasant.
First world problems, but still… We were seated in first class and asked for a cocktail on a very short, 50 minute flight. After our drink order was taken, a half hour went by, and we noticed that every other person in the small plane had been served except for us. We got up to ask about it, the drinks finally came, then were taken away three minutes later since the flight was so short. Really strange situation, on the other hand, we were in Utah.
We missed our flight. The boarding pass had the wrong gate and by the time we received the text from Kayak, our flight was already gone. I’ll never use Kayak again and will go direct to the airlines in the future.
Boarding took forever, the plane was cramped and cold, and the seatbelt song came on constantly throughout the red eye flight with a loud pre-recorded message playing each time
On time arrivals and departures. Gate boarding notices could be better if displayed on monitor.
American Airlines Suck. AA did not deliver us to the airport we paid for to Tulum. Instead, we were flown into Cancun and had to take a shuttle to Tulum. Instead of arriving at 4 PM, we arrived at 11:30 PM - not to mention that our initial booked flight was due into Tulum at noon. The latter flight was canceled and rebooked (to the 4 PM arrival). We lost a day of vacation. Oh, I forgot that AA provided a lunch voucher for $12. Noting, the least expensive item on the menu at the airport restaurant was green beans for $9.99. The return flight from Tulum was delayed two or three times for no reason other than that it was NOT related to the weather. We arrived late for our connecting flight from DFW to STL. Luckily, the connecting flight was delayed. We hurried through Customs and ran through the airport to make our flight to STL (or we would have missed that flight).
I was a little disappointed of not having an android charger. Only one it was for an iPhone. I've flown American in the past and had access to one.
