We had not been contacted and we missed our daughter’s professional basketball game in France. This was the reason we bought the tickets from Kayak to begin with. The cancellations were happening with British Airlines and they were not working with American Airlines to help us out to get to the game on time."

Cons: "A passenger caused a delay in security, and as I'm rushing for the gate, the agent closed the door and told me I couldn't board. She then marked me as a no-show, while she was standing right next front of her. I had to spend the next 4 hrs on the phone, trying to get my tickets sorted out. Then, upon arriving at Heathrow,... No luggage. They told me it was still in Chicago. Upon finally receiving my bags, I find them full of sawdust and sand, and several items damaged. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again, and I will highly recommend to my friends and family to avoid them like them plague. Horrible service! Nothing but a run-around and not once did the agents apologise, even after admitting that my problems on this journey were due to a mistake made by one of their agents."

Then we couldn't get proper boarding passes and luggage tags until one of the crew members spent a significant amount of time untangling each leg of our trip so they were in the proper order. We got delayed by 4 hours in Chicago and missed our connection in Manchester. We had another 5 hour wait there. By the time we got to Dublin, our bags didn't also arrive. After almost 24 hours of travel, we arrived but without all of our stuff."

Changed to a UA plane but after seated in the UA plane 1 hour, the plane needed to be maintenanced. Had been changed to another UA plane. I had to exit use the external train (which was delayed) and go through the very slow Terminal 5 security. Almost missed my ORD-LHR flight (arrived at the gate after the official closing time)"

Cons: "When I got to the gate, I was told that I had to pay $45 for my carry on luggage, which I found it to be somewhat insulting (if I had agreed to check-in the luggage it would have been 'cheaper' only $40). This was the first time I had ever been asked to pay for my carry-on luggage, and the basis for me to never fly Frontier ever again. They claim that it was because of the ticket I purchased through a third party, and I told them that they should not advertise any tickets where you intend to charge people for their carry-on luggage. To make things worse, it appears that Frontier does not participate with the TSA pre-check program, and even though I had my global entry card with me, the officer at TSA pre-check would not allow me through this line because of the airline I was flying with - Never again!!! I suspect that on my way back I'll be forced to pay another $45 for my carry-on luggage, which I despise."

I apologized after you snapped at me and continued to smile... while you continued to frown and be condescending. That alone means I don't fly your airline again. I can afford the extra for Delta and I should have stayed there. Seats were really uncomfortable and though we paid extra for the better seats, leg room was at a minimum. Again, about what I expected. All told, for 1 bag and a little more legroom, we paid an extra $115 per tick. Not really any savings over a more full-service airline."

I don't think cabin was pressurized properly or there was something not right as my Airpop during landing was much more savior than I have even had and was very painful. his was first and will be last flight with them. Not worth the $30/$40 saving you make."

Pros: "The flight cost was cheap, but was never informed that carrying on a bag I would have to pay for it. Wasn't aware that I would also be charged for selecting my seat. Beverages, including water, and food were also not included in the cost, and were relatively expensive. I used the app to check in 24 hours before my flight. I arrived at the airport and wanted to double check that I was checked in for my flight because I felt uneasy about it. The women at the check in said the mobile app does not count as a boarding pass and etc. So I needed to wait to be checked in. While getting in line to board the plane, a couple infront of me had their boarding passes on their phones and had no problem boarding with the app. I think there was a little miscommunication with the app and workers."

I had to pay $17 extra on the way to Florida and $11 extra per seat on the return flight to Chicago. Why wasn't I made aware of this? Also, I went on Frontiers website prior to my trip to see what the carry-on fees were. They never explained the fees until after I was trying to print out my boarding pass and I was charged $40 per carry-on (3 of us were travelling). Give a head's up about your fees!!!!!! Otherwise, your prices are misleading!"

Flight attendants were all extremely rude and unprofessional - spent the entire flight ignoring the passengers and clustered at the front of the plane complaining about coworkers. The flight attendants were doing much of their work by flashlight - seemed very substandard. No welcome. No goodbyes. It was clear that they had disdain for the clients. No food or beverage service. Will never consider Frontier again."

Pros: "The crew treats you better than crews on more expensive airlines, and they have a great sense of humor. You can tell that positivity and how they interact with passengers is a priority in the hiring and training process. A lot of people have complained about having to pay extra for carry-ons and other luggage, but Frontier is REALLY clear about their policy for baggage when you book, so these people shouldn't have been shocked. It is a great deal for people who only travel with one small bag, and I'm glad that there is an airline that offers such cheap flights for light travelers. If you need to take a lot of luggage, you can add the cost as you are booking and then decide if it's the best deal before you finalize payment. Overall, it was a very good experience. You aren't going to get a ton of extras for free on this airline, but if getting to point B from point A with a nice flight crew is all that matters to you, Frontier is a great deal."

Cons: "Imagine an all you can eat buffet for $5 with all the best things like prime rib and king crab legs. The reality sets in when they charge you $55 for a plate and an $25 for a fork to eat with. If you want to drink there is an additional $25 water service fee. If you need to use the bathroom that will cost you an additional $50. Your $5 buffet has now cost you $160. The only difference between the above scenario and my flight was the buffet actually cost $300 to start with before piling on the additional fees. It is the only airline that flies directly to Myrtle Beach from here. I had no zero options otherwise without long layovers. The one redeeming thing about this flight was the crew."

I understand the concept of not paying for extra accommodations unless they are desired (I even sprang for the opportunity to pick a window seat) but it really feels like Spirit Airlines is trying to give me as little for my dollar as possible with the uncomfortable seats and lack of in flight entertainment. The only thing that's good about this airline is the pricing."

I paid to have an isle seat on all 4 flights(I'm a disabled vet who was injured in the line of duty) I need easy access to toilets I'm unable to crawl over people, in turn need idle seat). Paid for isle seat all 4 flights- just to see the flights were super empty, people were sitting where they wanted anyway. Thanks for taking my $ for the seats tho spirit:-|. Staff wasn't that friendly compared to other airlines I've flown on. Not food. No entertainment on flight. Not worth it. If they don't do better business they won't last long I feel. There is potential just needs some work!"

While i did have a layover in Chicago and this indeed was only one trip, Spirit denied this and said that since I had a layover, they were two separate tickets. This is unacceptable. My ticket said Chicago was a layover. It is absurd to be charged twice for baggage on one single trip. Last time I fly Spirit!!!"

Pros: "There's nothing to really say that I liked."
Cons: "Seating is TINY. What's up with that? I'm 6' and 200 lbs so I'm not a small stature, but I'm hardly what be considered big, and I could barely fit in the seat. And though it's a short flight, I feel a beverage could be served - free of charge!"

Pros: "The flight was quick and comfortable"
Cons: "The flight was delayed for a very long time."

Cons: "I don't like tricks or gimmicks. I want to know costs before I book a flight. I chose Spirit because of the lower ticket price. Little did I know I would be charged for my "carry on" ($55) and a bottle of water ($3). Not flying Spirit again."

Cons: "The crew on my first flight were very accommodating and friendly, but on my second flight they were NOT so friendly and everyone around me was talking about how rude and unfriendly they were. This was my first time flying on Spirit and I asked for a pillow and the response I received from the Flight Attendant was "What!....we don't have pillows" Another reason I was unhappy was because on my connecting flight from Texas to Chicago we were delayed on the plane and NOBODY told us what the problem was and why we were not moving to the runway. After 42 minutes we were told "we are waiting for paperwork from Maintenance" that is it! Not how long they expect the wait to be or come around and offer us some drinks or snacks. The Flight Attendants DID NOT even walk the aisle....not even once! We finally took off after 75 minute delay. It was if we were on the plane alone...this is not how I would have handled the situation. I also obtained the Spirit credit card to rack up some miles, but not I am giving it a second thought!"

Cons: "Departure out of Chicago was delayed as was return flight out of Atlanta. Once return flight landed we were on the tarmac for close to an hour waiting for a gate to clear. Terrible experience all around."

Pros: "I would only use Spirit Airlines for 1 day / weekend trips because of the baggage restrictions. And I would only use it so long as I'm cheap. Otherwise, this is the worst airline on the market."

Cons: "Plane was way too cramped. There are so many rules with Spirit that you can end up spending the same as a major carrier if you are not on top of things.Hidden charges. The hub at Ft. Lauderdale has several Spirit flights leaving close together so it makes for a long security line."

Cons: "It would have been nice to know when I bought my ticket that I was going to need to pay extra for everything. I didn't really wind up saving money in the end. The seating is TOO "cozy". I would not fly with this airline again unless it was a very short flight and I could fit all my luggage in a backpack."

Cons: "Delayed 3:30 leaving for Las Vegas and missed a very important meeting. 3:30 delay coming home from Las Vegas. The seat won't recline, no padding on seat and no leg room.... I will never fly Spirit Air again...."

Cons: "Our flight from Orlando canceled and they told us we have to Chang the airport because no more seat in the same day from Orlando"

Cons: "the worker saw me with terrible face and even they didn't explain me why my flight was canceled and they didn't help me anything . what they told me are just two things. refund or get another flight with another time .! . absoutely i did refund ."

Pros: "crew was excellent, but It is Spirit. The seats suck, leg room is non existent."

Cons: "Sent us to wrong gate. Flight was delayed because pilot didn't file flight plan properly. Tried to preassure us into getting their credit card. Charged $55 for each carry on."

Cons: "One of the supervisors that I had to deal with was the worst that I have every experienced."

Pros: "This was definitely the worst experience I have ever had with an airline. Words alone can not describe the amount of stress Spirit put me through, and I doubt I have enough space to adequately express the reason for my resenyment toward them. If you think Spirit Airlines is a bargain you are sorely mistaken and I would caution ALL prospective travelers considering their services."

Cons: "no seats assigned to the gate. But I accompanied with my 8 years old kids, then staff working at the gate wasn't friendly at all and she was on phone for personal stuff for 5 mins and while people were boarding, i was waiting without boarding passes. then they gave me exit seats with my kid. Then, later crew had to change seats for us. Always services are big problem with spirit airlines. so its competitive low price offsets with that bad services. so no more attractive."

Cons: "This airline is a sham. I don't feel safe getting on a plane where they are simply seeing you as a number and how much money they can make of you. Literally everything has a fee, even carry on!"

Pros: "Flight itself was without incident and crew was pleasant and professional."
Cons: "We boarded then sat on the plane for almost an hour because the passenger count was not correct and it took that long to get the correct paperwork. When we landed in Chicago there was a slight delay getting off the plane because of a gate tunnel issue. Overall well over an hour late."

Pros: "Flight attendent Quinten was so friendly and fun!"

Pros: "The service was poor. Flight attendant did not even bother to ask me if I wanted to purchase any drinks on the flight. Also flight attendant did not allow me to use to restroom on the aircraft. She shook her finger at me as I walked up and did a turn around sign to indicate that I needed to use the other restroom. I waited 30 minutes to use the other restroom while she stood there in front of the restroom in the front of the aircraft. I have never been restricted to use the restroom before on any airline. The flight also was not full and I asked if I could relocate my seat because the person next to me kept nugging into me and being really close to me and I felt really uncomfortable. Flight attendant told me that the seats are assigned and that they could not do anything about it even though there were plenty of empty seats. They said if I wanted to switch seats then I would have to pay a fee. I have never had an airline tell me that if there were a large amount of empty seats remaining."

Cons: "Charging for carry on"

Pros: "Friendly crew, clean plane"
Cons: "Seats and leg room were very cramped. For longer flights over 2 hrs, I would gladly pay more on another airline that offers more comfortable seating and in flight beverages. Although the ticket prices are lower and you may pay a lower overall cost, it feels like you are being nickeled and dimed for every aspect of the flight and the process of having to pay for everything gets a little annoying."

Pros: "New seating setup and service"
Cons: "Attendant over selling alcohol to a customer.This resulted him and his G friend causing lot of noise for over 40 minutes. It's true that Airline staff has to sell, but there needs to be a limit on selling drinks. Overall I would say way to go Spirit Airlines."

Pros: "Flight and crew were great. Boarding was fast and easy as well due to the lack of carry-ons."
Cons: "I did NOT like that my carry-on cost me $55 to bring with me!! I clearly should have done a better job reading but I wish there was a little more of a heads up that this fee existed and was twice as much as it costs on any other airline to just check a bag. Now I know to add $100 to any Spirit flight. Given the nickel and diming on Spirit I do not plan to fly that airline again (United ends up being cheaper at the end of the day anyway!)."

Cons: "10 PEOPLE GOT LEFT BEHIND. FLIGHT LEFT WAY TOO EARMY AND SECURITY CHECK POINT TOOK 1.5 HRS. HORRRRIBLE. GOT TOFF THE TERMINAL 15 BEFORE THE FLIGHT WAS SUPPOSED TO LEAVE AND DOORS WERE CLOSED ALREADY."

Pros: "I liked the timeliness."
Cons: "I don't like that they allow people with carry-ons larger than the specified sizes. I was careful to follow the guidelines, which were hard to find anyway. I don't like the credit card sales pitch on each flight."

Cons: "I had to pay $50 for a carry on that every other airline deems as complimentary. No drink including water served unless I pay for it and no cash excepted. Absolutely ridiculous"

Pros: "The motto of the airline is great and I would fully support this airline if they improved on a lot of things."
Cons: "My flight got cancelled because of "weather" and they could only reschedule for the next night. I lost two days of my precious vacation time and the airline didn't try even in the least bit to make it up to me. On top of that I discovered that they charge for carry-ons which made flying with them not as cheap as they advertise. In fact I would have saved quite a bit had I flown with another airline. The airplanes were dirty, crumbs and trash scattered everywhere, I was almost scared to sit down. The seats were so thin and close together that I could feel every movement of the person behind me and I couldn't even be grouchy because my knees also hit the seat in front of me and I am by no means large. The staff was unprofessional, loudly discussing their plans, I learned all about their favorite happy hours in which they were going to visit later. All in all, spirit is hands down the worst airline I have ever flown with."
