Also the fees for a second bag is ridiculous and it was unfortunate that I had to pay as if I did not then I would have been over. either way....lose lose"

Pros: "You see there was a terrible storm that closed the EIS Beef Island Airport. But because I booked through ya'll I was totally screwed. The individual Airlines are not permitted to rebook my ticket because you are a third party carrier. and You would not rebook because the airline could not change the flight status on the first plane from Mayaguez to San Juan - that flight was not cancelled due to the closure but because I would be stuck in San Juan for possibly 2 days with no money and no where to sleep, well you get the point. So InterCaribbean and Cape Air came to the rescue and after a 4-5 hour ordeal and having to travel to Mayaguez airport I am now rebooked."

Cons: "Booked a 8:30 AM flight VQS->SJU. At 10AM the night before received an email stating the flight "may have been cancelled." Called cape air, they confirmed cancellation but couldn't rebook me on another flight; went on their website and paid for another flight (10:04). The next morning for way of explanation told that "the plane broke." Got to the airport, initially the replacement flight was delayed till 10:30, then at 11:00 we were told that flight was also cancelled. Since we did not have a connecting flight we were placed at the end of the line. They did get us out later in the day, although i suppose because we were just squeezed in I was sitting in the back where I had to sit cross-legged as i only had about 4 inches of legroom. So 2 cancellations and poor communications on a round trip ticket = mediocre review. If I don't get my money back on the first flight I'll revise this to 1/5."

Cons: "They have a bad rap in the Caribbean for bad service and unreliability, as I found out after my bad experiences. I was left stranded in St Croix because even though they charged me for the flight "my name didn't appear on their seat list." And they were like oops nothing we can do sorry. This time, they left me stranded in Puerto Rico. For three days they couldn't rebook me. Flight was cancelled on xmas weekend because the "pilot was over his hours." After they rebooked everyone else on the flight including my boyfriend, their computer wouldn't rebook me for some reason so I had to purchase a ticket to be able to leave. They assured me they would refund me but of course I've been emailing with Cape Air for a week and still no refund. Never flying with them again obviously, and recommend you avoid them if you have connections or need to get somewhere guaranteed. Maybe they have better service on the east coast but they should do a total overhaul of their service in the Caribbean."

One week before our departure Cape Air cancels the tickets. No explanation, no rebooking, just a "I'm sorry, too bad, go find something else," we ended up paying full fares through United for another $1000. So much for our affordable weekend getaway. Thanks Cape Air."

The person at the ticket counter didn't care about me at all. I was just a number. They said JetBlue had to call them for me to get on another flight Jetblue wouldn't do this because It wasn't on my Itinerary. All Silver had to do was check the Jetblue status and they would of seen I was over an hour late into Ft. Lauderdale. However the ticket person refused."

JetBlue said they could have just called them but them made us run around, literally. In the end the first flight was delayed and we could easily have made it as when we got to security we were the only people there. Took less then 5 minutes to get from check-in to terminal. Ridiculous amount of stress and run around for no reason. Don't expect good service from these guys in FTT!"

Cons: "At the airport check in, over 100 of us stood in line to drop off bags for TWO HOURS with no Spirit staff in sight. When the staff did arrive, they were slow about helping us, laughed and joked with each other ignoring us, and not even apologetic. Once they began taking bags, they weren't friendly or even very attentive. The flight attendants paid little attention to the customers...stayed all up front eating, talking to each other, or on their electronic devices. The seats are very cramped, uncomfortable, and had no pocket or way to recline (unless you paid extra). There was no complimentary snack/beverage options...not even water...and this was for a 3 hour flight. The overall staff was not friendly or inclined to be helpful."

After 2 hours of waiting was when Spirit decided to offer us 3 oz of water and a tiny package of cookie. Thank God for no medical emergency, but they didn't come out and offer actual bottles of water and/or a real snack. Terrible consideration toward the passengers."
Pros: "Nothing to start they couldnt find my revation"
Cons: "After wasting 40 minutes waighting to find my reservation they lost my credit card . It fell inside the counter they call manager they took a part the counter and they couldn't reach it. This is my last time traveling from spirit. The flight was delayed i was soposed to get in the airplane 2.00pm we didnt start bording untill 6pm. It was awful"

Cons: "I was dissapointed to have to pay $45 for my carry-on. By the time I checked 2 bags both ways I ended up paying $200 extra for the tickets. Im flying with a different carrier from now on. Spirit has turned into a nickle and dime joke."

Pros: "This was my first time flying with Spirit. I did not know what to expect as I have heard mixed reviews but overall a great experience. The flight was on schedule to and from my destination and arrived as planned."
Cons: "There was no Wifi on the plane and the baggage charges were a little steep. Made me feel like I was paying the same amount for a ticket with JetBlue or A.A after adding these charges with what I paid for the ticket. Took away the feeling of affordability."

Cons: "Had to pay $ 110 dollars for two carry on bags tryed to save thirty dollars by not flying with jet blue and ended paying for two carry on bags at 55 dollars each then the flight was late one hour no free snacks or water had to pay three dollars for a bottle of water the flight attendants were rude and seemed bored yawning my wife and iare very disappointed that we made the mistake of flying with spirit lousy service flight delayed overcharged were very unhappy."
Pros: "We won't use this airline anymore. First and last time we use this. It started from the begining thinking that once you pay online the suitcase dropping it was not going to be a hassle, we were wrong the line was so long, it took forever, only 1 person to receive the suitcases, again with the longest line, and 3 employees to check in passengers, a by far much smaller line and way faster. And the list goes on, bottom line not worth the hassle of dealing with this airline."

You end up paying more than Jet blue which has great leg room, in flight entertainment, free soft drinks. 3) Boarding was a mess."
