Cons: "The check in process at JFK was a disaster. The kiosk check in machines were constantly malfunctioning, where to line up was unclear, and staff acted frustrated. After several failed attempts with the kiosks you have to wait in line to check in at the counter anyways. It would have saved almost an hour of my time to just go straight to the counter-- had I been allowed to. I wanted to check a bag which contained some fragile items. Several bottles of wine which I wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioned with my packed clothes. I requested a "Fragile" sticker to be put on my bag. I was told "We don't do that here". So I asked if they handle ALL bags with extreme care and I was laughed at and told to go on my way. When I got my bag at my destination-- the outside of my leather suitcase was sliced to the lining. There were scuff marks and torn leather. My wine had been completely shattered. Not just a crack in the bottle, but flattened completely. My clothes were stained, my bag ruined. I don't know if putting a fragile sticker on would have prevented this, but I don't understand why they just "don't do that". We are trusting our property to the airline when we check bags. I will never trust American Airlines ever again. They don't want to know if I have anything fragile, and they don't care when I tell them."

Which I can understand. What I don't understand is why they continued displaying a mute TV set for three hours. Why not just shut it off? BTW, my daughter flew from LA to Boston that same day and exactly the same thing happened on her plane."

At least 7 more passengers would have preferred eggs, but were told there were no more to be offered. intercom is way too loud, esp. if you have earbuds in - we can hear you through the earbuds, esp. when plugged into the console when we'rer watching movies"

But I don't think they knew how loud they were being and talking about inappropriate topics (i.e. Sex, complaining about a crying baby and putting vodka in its bottle to "shut it up"). Was very uncomfortable because of this. Excepted more CLASS for what I had paid. This is why I am unable to give this flight an "excellent" rating. Disappointing."

Cons: "My 6:50 am flight was canceled at 11:40 pm the night before. Spent an hour and 15 minutes trying to talk to costumer service before I gave up since it was 1:30 am. Got put on a standby list for a flight and the flight was 5.5 hours delayed. Finally left SFO to San at 2 pm after being at the airport since 7am. Was supposed to originally be there by 8:30am but had to use my PTO since I missed the whole day of work."

A couple traveling with us bought the trail mix, which was incredibly stale. He asked for water, which he never received. Fly Frontier only if there are absolutely no alternatives."

This circumstance, was, essentially no one's fault and yet the employee reaction on behalf of Frontier airlines speaks volumes to the general attitude that the ORGANIZATION takes toward its paying customers. Due to delays on the first leg of the trip from DC to Denver, the connecting flight was missed. This is understandable on its own, as I have no expectation that a second flight would be held for me. However, the fact that Frontier, as an organization, feels ABSOLUTELY NO OBLIGATION WHATSOEVER to assisting their customers in arriving to their ultimate destination in a timely manner means they will never, EVER, get my money again. To make matters worse, the two options they DID offer, were unacceptable: 1) Offered a flight to an airport an hour away from my destination & 2) Offered a flight to my actual destination...two days later (in the airport on Tuesday; they offered to get me on a flight to my destination Thursday) AND this offer with absolutely no assistance regarding sleeping arrangements for TWO NIGHTS. In short, trip was complicated for which I do not blame Frontier. However, their complete lack of customer service to a paying customer ultimately has cost them future customers. My family travels frequently and I will certainly advise any and all persons I know NOT TO EVER TRAVEL ON FRONTIER AIRLINES! I will, however, recommend the FAR MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY DELTA airlines)"

Cons: "I travel a lot and understand that being a flight attendant isn't always a fun job, so I do my best to minimize my burden on them, but their attitudes made me feel like they despise their passengers and think we're all stupid. A couple crew members were nice, but the rude ones I interacted with ruined the experience. Also, not the employees fault, but they pitch you their crappy credit card for 10 mins then stuff brochures for it in your face. I'm already stuck on a plane in a cramped space next to someone who smells bad, I don't need advertisements that I literally cannot escape added on top of that. Their app is okay, but their website is awful. They nickel and dime left and right. Finally their seats are too short! I'm 6'2" and if I sit up straight and lean back, my head is over the top of the seat. I got suckered into a cheap fare but wish I would've paid $100 more for a half decent airline instead."

If you want to fly Frontier, I want to make sure you’re forewarned. Their slogan is “A different kind of animal.” This animal is very cunning. And slightly savage. First, if you’ve been suckered into their $59 airfares, you already know what’s waiting for you. Wait. You actually want to fly back home? Well you’ll end up paying the same price as you would most any other airline. But wait…what’s this? Actually, their rates are about $100 cheaper than normal. What they don’t tell you is, they charge $30 for you to carry on your own baggage. I always thought it was ludicrous to charge me to carry my own bag onto a plane. Keep in mind that’s one way. So it’s $60 round trip. And that’s their discounted rate if you book online. It goes way up if you’re one of the unfortunates who wait till you’re at the kiosk to settle up with the Frontier Friskers. Oh, you say you want to actually choose your seat? That’s $13 minimum. For each leg of your trip. Don’t be surprised if they figure out a way to charge you for each leg of your body. That’s for a normal seat. If you don’t cough up the $13, they’ll randomly seat you wherever they want. I wouldn’t be surprised if they counted the lavatory as a possibility. So, that’s $60 for your own carry-on luggage. And a minimum $26 if you dare to choose your own cheap seat. Hmm. That $100 savings is looking rather slim right now. Speaking of slim, that describes their seats. And they don’t recline. You’re straight upright your whole trip. And the padding is about as comfortable as a cheap mattress in a cheap motel. The best way I can describe the feeling: Say you’re on Sesame Street and your job is to sit on the capital letter ‘L” for two hours. So while spending what feels like an eternity in L, maybe you’d like something to quench your thirst. That’s $1.99. Water? $1.99. A snack? $2.99. I’m surprised they don’t charge for toilet paper. By the square. (To be fair, I just learned that a cup of water is actually free. “For today,” said the flight attendant. “That could change.”) Nice Surprise: The people who work for Frontier are generally nice. But if this is the way Frontier treats their customers, how do they treat their employees? Do they make their mechanics buy their own tools? I wrote to the company to let them know how hugely disappointed I am with their changes. I never got the courtesy of a reply. I somehow like to imagine the CEO, in the true spirit of “no frills”, answering each customer letter by himself on an Olivetti typewriter from the 1970s. But I kind of doubt it. So there you have it. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. And if you have four arms, well, you might just fit their new slogan. Frontier Airlines: A whole different way to treat people like animals."

I was supposed to fly on a Thursday, but because I was passing through Denver and a blizzard had closed the airport the DAY BEFORE, Frontier's flight was cancelled on Thursday. First I spend an hour and fifteen minutes on hold before finally giving up and calling back in the middle of the night. Then I waited fifteen minutes to speak to someone, who informed me that the earliest they could get me a flight would be TUESDAY. That is FOUR DAYS from my day of departure. My only options were a refund or a Tuesday flight. I asked to speak to a manager, but the employee refused to transfer me and eventually hung up on me. This was hands down the worst customer service experience I have ever had with an airline. I am still fighting for a refund, after I had to purchase a day-of flight with another airline to reach my destination. It required me to fly from a different airport and to a different airport, which was a nightmare for my other travel plans. Needless to say, I will never fly Frontier airlines again, and will never recommend them to anyone."

Even as a tiny, short person, it was uncomfortable. For anyone of normal stature it would be torture. Paying for a "better" seat appears to provide very little if any added benefit, just keeps your party together. There is no entertainment, movies, music, or wifi so bring your battery pack charger. There is only expensive junk food to eat. My only option on my coast to coast flight was a red eye. So you arrived just wiped out. So if you do this to save money, in my overall assessment, it's just not worth it. I'll never do it again."

I've never been so uncomfortable on a plane in my life. The return trip departure was also delayed. This was different model of plane, and it did provide a bit more leg room - by stripping the seats down to metal and a thin layer of padding. The tray table was about the size of a business-sized envelope. Wouldn't fit a food container, a laptop, or even a tall water bottle. It was completely useless. The discomfort is not worth the cost savings. And then Spirit sent me a "customer satisfaction survey" after each leg of the flight. I tried to open it both times, on an iPad and a laptop, and there was nothing there - no file to be found. So clearly they don't really want any feedback. I will never fly Spirit again."

Spirit advertises "no frills" flying and so I assume it may be part of this scam to save costs (?) of printing "TSA Pre" on their boarding passes to allow quicker passage through the checkpoint. Spirit levies an up charge for everything but breathing the air in their planes and part of this seems to be the elimination of reclining seats. I'm 6'4" and have difficulty sitting comfortably in the seats, my knees jammed against the seat back in front of me. Also, I feel every movement of the passenger behind me for the same reason. Very annoying. I'll not be flying Spirit again."
