Pros: "Though I was never sent an email for my daughter's check in, I had a different reservation for her but still under my name and same email, when I called on the phone the people were pleasant. They still never provided me with an email though and information allowing me to have my daughter checked in. they only provided me with her reference number."
Cons: "All in all we had a poor experience and my family and I were disappointed. I'm about to book yet another ticket for my brother, but this time I'm not considering Swiss Air. Just so you know, I'm a very positive person and appreciate every polite and courteous gesture. Unfortunately this experience didn't allow me to do so."

Pros: "A good airline and a good flight. Lots of entertainment options."
Cons: "Zurich is a confusing Airport, where signs are not obvious, and the queues are poorly formed. They should improve that for sure."

Pros: "It was an 8.5 hour flight and we got fed 2 meals, 2 snacks and had lots of beverage breaks! We were delayed a little but it was due to an issue in France, not anything to do with the airplane, and the captain found a solution faster than he had originally said he would (with the help of the tower of course)."
Cons: "The legroom in economy is just as bad as you would expect."

Cons: "Many delays that seemed unnecessary. We waited for a while for late passengers to board, which seemed strange, given that last time when Swiss made me miss my transfer, the next plane left without me when delaying takeoff would not have been necessary at all. After the passengers arrived, we were delayed again because of weather. And once we arrived at Newark, we had to wait for over half an hour to get to the gate for some mysterious reason."

Pros: "I was concerned the connections would be too tight but it worked out great!"

Pros: "The flight attendants are great and their aircraft are very clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the request for passengers to raise their seat backs during meal times."

Pros: "Service was very good."
Cons: "Three and a half hours delay due to technical difficulties. Food was only a small cheese sandwich and a bottle of water. Could have given us a little more food. Seat on flight did not recline. Extreme turbulence for half an hour, very scary, thought we would never make it! All in all, a bad experience."

Pros: "Food was tasty and of decent proportions, entertainment, while somewhat limited in selection, contained a number of compelling movies bar I enjoyed. I had a bulkhead seat, which was exceedingly comfortable"

Cons: "The seats are too close together front to back. It's torture if you are six feet tall and the person in front of you put the seat in the back position for 8 hours."

Pros: "Even though the flight felt like forever, the cabin crew did such a wonderful job at making us all feel comfortable. The food selection was great and the fact that the staff was approachable was also a great plus. Will definitely fly again using Swiss air. Thank you"

Cons: "On the flight to Zurich the passenger behind me gave me a difficult time about reclining my seat back but keep in mind he had his reclined. Coming back to Newark the gentleman behind my boyfriend made a comment how he didn't have room due to his seat being reclined. The passenger next to us was arguing with the passenger in front of her because she didn't want that person to recline their seat back. I have never experienced such rude people on a flight and I realize this is beyond your control. It made for a very uncomfortable and stressful flight. Maybe signs can be posted or a message when booking your flight that ALL passengers have a right to recline seats and if space is an issue for your comfort then upgrade to business class for more room."

Pros: "Good entertainment variety. Food was good, including snacks. Generous with drinks as well. Crew was polite and friendly."
Cons: "Letting us know about the delay prior to boarding could have allowed us to use our time better. Instead we sat at the gate and in the plane. Seats (economy) a bit closer to each other relative to other planes and the armrest does not fully go up which does not allow us to use space as much as possible."

I am flying with swiss every month between Zürich and New York but a lot of Ines I get a shitty seat even if I am silver status As a frequent flyer I expect a priority handling which is not the case . No upgrade poaaibility due to wrong booking class (even if flights are very expensive) if this continues to go that way I will change airline alliance This is more a miles and more issue but it is really annoying me in a way that I really consider changin"

Cons: "I will only say that I am writing this review as we are sitting on the plane in Newark where we are waiting for our gate for a half an hour already and we do not know when we would get off board. And oh yeah... the flight was originally late for about an hour too! Simply unacceptable!"

Cons: "Unorganized and hectic at the gate; personnel were rude and unhelpful. I was asked numerous times to Leave and let them do their work" when I asked why I was on standby and what that meant."

Cons: "Sound for on-screen entertainment not working. It was static-y all the time and completely cut out the rest of the time. I made various attempts to solve the problem, switching headphones, switching to my own headphones (which can't really be done because they have a two-prong jack and personal headphones are always one). I tried watching different movies, programs, music...it wasn't the material I was watching that was the problem. I asked the flight attendant to reset my console. That didn't work either. I just ended up reading my book the entire 9 hour trip."

Cons: "Airplane wasn't clean, we had hair on the headrest cover and asked one of the crew members for new headrest cover but was ignored."

Pros: "This direct flight from Zurich-Newark is pretty comfortable, especially if you get the two seats at the either sides of the plane (it's a 2x4x2 config in Coach). The food is really good, they are generous with drinks and the crew is really friendly and smiling! Would take this flight again without any reservations in future!"

Pros: "I was supposed to visit my father who was just put in a nursing home for a few days and the day of my flight I received an email from Swiss that they had rebooked me for the next day! So frustrating! The trip would have gotten so short that it wasn't worth it so I had to reschedule it 6 weeks out. It got my dad really upset! Thank god his health is stable at the moment."

Pros: "Food was adequate for economy. Free drinks on trans-Atlantic flights are a nice perk. Cabin crew is friendly."
Cons: "Flight was delayed due to incoming aircraft. It was probably not the airline's fault. Berlin Tegel gate area is too small for international flight - not enough seats and nowhere else to wait after security."

Pros: "The food was delivered fast. The meals were delicious, especially the chicken and polenta. I also appreciated the ice cream and I enjoyed the selection of movies and television. I also appreciated the map and trip information display."

Cons: "The boarding process at Zurich airport was a mess. There was no communication at the gate to tell passengers what to do or where to stand"

Cons: "I tried to get on an earlier flight to travel with my husband and every person claimed they couldn't help me. I called the airline who said there were plenty of seats on the flight, but they told me I needed someone onsite to help me make the change. Not great customer service."

Cons: "Older plane, arm rests did not go up all the way, and missed landing on the initial approach to Newark, which delayed landing for another 20 minutes."

Asked 3 different personnel at Zurich airport at no one could help with wifi or how it could be accessed since both wifi scanning machine in Gate E area weren't working. It just seemed that they were incompetent or weren't willing to help. Crew on flight were very nice. Vegetarian food options better than chicken / meat options."

Cons: "Not worse than other international flights. Entertainment system better than Lufthansa or United. This plane used the 2 jack connection for headphones, which prevents one from using own/normal stereo jack headphones. The provided phones are terrible had to be cranked really loud because of the plane noise, it was almost impossible to understand dialogues in movies."

Pros: "The in flight entertainment, the food, the frequency with which they passed out water, and the crew were all excellent. Online check in was smooth and easy to transfer to my iPhone wallet. Loved the chocolate at the end of the flight!"
Cons: "The delay in flight time by 40 minutes was annoying, but understandable due to weather and delay in connecting flights."

Pros: "Almost everything was good. Crew was friendly and courteous. They treated out kids specially well, with puzzles etc. When the entertainment system stopped responding the crew member stopped by more than once to "send" our choice of movies to our screen. (Since the keypad became non functional.) In-spite of the glitch we would fly Swiss again!"

Cons: "Shortly after take-off, the person in front of me put her seat back as far as it could go. I was in the last seat our economy row, by the window. Snacks were served almost immediately, and then dinner. For a brief time the passenger in front of me had her seat up for dinner. However, by the time I had finished dinner, I felt captured in my seat, It took a long time for the trays to be collected after dinner. I wished I'd brought anxiety medication. Could have been a better selection of movies."
