After all this, we only got a $250 voucher on a $1500 flight. When I asked about business class upgrades they said they had seats open but it would cost $400! For a seat that stayed empty Instead of giving it to a customer who had been through the worst travel experience of their life. The flight attendants seemed like they really couldn’t give a damn about helping out customers and it’s the only airline I’ve ever interacted with where no one speaks English. One guy actually rolled his eyes when I asked him for the meal I missed when I was sleeping."

The new last minute flights were schedule on COPA...cost us an extra 3000 dollars last minute. To add insult to in jury......the COPA leg from New York was canceled at the airport due to a mechanical problem. We were suppose to leave on Tuesday at 3:25 and get to Bucaramanga that night..........DID NOT HAPPEN. We finally, after two nights in two different cities hotel rooms, we got to Buca on Thursday morning about 10:30 am. COPA's help, was awful............confused, non professional. We could not get food from noon on one day to about 5 the next morning. COPA did not care."

Cons: "The original flight was booked to dec 11th 2016 at 10:20am. On dex 9th at about 10pm i got a text message and email telling that my flight was rescheduled and asking me to call Avianca. So i did, and my new flight was booked to leave 2:18pm, arriving in Salvador at night. I asked for options, they offered me a flight at 6am and another at 8:30 am. I said that i would talk to my party and return the call, and we choose the 8:30 flight. When i called back, they said this flight had only 3 seats (we were a party of 6 adt, 1 chd and 2 inf). In the avianca site they were offering the flight for the whole party, but, of course, with a higher rate that i paid in june. The person said she coulndt book it for me, and i should call the SAC (client service) to try to solve the problem. I called the SAC and after 40min in the phone they were able to put everybody on the desired flight. I felt that they were trying to rebook us on a cheaper flight, letting the seats with highest fares to be sold to someone else. Since it was their fault the flight changing, i think it was a bad experience in my first flight with Avianca. Probably will avoid them in the future."

The flight was predominantly Brazilian passengers but the Avianca crew showed displeasure when asked questions in Portuguese by many different customers such as a beverage (one attendant told an older gentleman near me that a tray of drinks was available at the back of the plane and to go an get some if he like. Rude!!) It was just a very disagreeable experience flying on Avianca"

Cons: "We had a connection in Detroit. The flight from Seattle to Detroit arrived about 30 minutes late, and we barely made the connection. Apparently Delta had not told the Detroit-Boston flight to wait a few minutes for us. We did make the connection, but we arrived at the gate with no seat assignment (we had been bumped the day before from our original flight because of a mechanical problem) as the plane was loading. Had we missed the flight, we would have had to spend the night in Detroit and go to Boston the next day. Delta should have told the gate agent that we were coming."

(I have a headphone for iPhone X so I could not connect it to their entertaiment system.)"

If you didn’t make that flight (evening), you’d be confirmed on a flight the following morning with one stop in Detroit (we booked a nonstop to Chicago). Uh, no thanks. Then to top it off, we’ve landed and been told that it will be at least an hour before we can deplane due to no availability at the gate (it’s 1145 pm right now). All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."

A surprise for us was being asked if we would like to move seats from the back of the aircraft to Comfort Economy (we think it was to do with weight balance! but appreciated very much none the less). Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

So, they put on the next flight... 6 hours later. Said I could fly without the bag... uh, no thanks. They would not look for alternatives without charging me more. Flight attendants were crabby, otherwise everything was fine. I flew British Airways a few months ago. Night and day. Seriously. Delta does not even approach having good service. There was no comparison to British Air--- Delta is not in the same league."

Cons: "Since it was a flight from Seoul, Korea to Seattle; it would've been nicer if all the movies had Korean subtitles-- my 4-yo boy who only speaks Korean, couldn't make it through more than 15 mins of a movie because he couldn't understand (of course, some of that is due to age & short attention-span). But he kept saying, "I hate English" in Korean while trying to pick a movie. Also, I'm 6'2"; so while it was nice having the whole row for my kids to lay down in-- I was cramped and uncomfortable the whole flight, even moreso with Delta's seats being closer together than on other international carriers I've flown."

I kindly asked for a can of Sprite when they were distributing the beverages and the flight attendant snapped back while showing me an empty can, but, karma kicked in and she spilled half of my flat Sprite on the carpet; luckily, it didn't spill on me. She could have avoided the mess, embarrassment (both for her and the airline, as she demonstrated incompetency; after all, she represents the airline), and this bad review, if she had kindly complied with my request. There's more, but, I don't want this to be another chapter of 'War and Peace'."

I had to do it via "influence", a pain in the neck."

I called the booking company and they were able to book me a trip for the following day but they charged me an additional $100. I wish they had disclosed that we need to be there 45 minutes to an hour early otherwise you miss your flight. And it’s ridiculous that I had to pay an extra $100... financially it was stressful due to the covid 19 situation. I was extremely disappointed in how the lady at the check in counter at American Airlines treated me. She www extremely rude and I have never been spoken to in a way that made me feel attacked."

When I ask for a blanket one of the stewardesses said that AA would no longer have blankets in flight which I prove it wrong when I saw in the flight Mai-SDQ blanquets all over the cabin. The soliton they gave me was that they would ask the crew to raise the temp in the cabin, I had to make the request three times and I had to tell the stewardess that if not raising the temperature in the cabin I could have gone into an emergency hypothermia crisis. I had to take another shirt from my carry-on to put it over my shirt to warm me up."

Cons: "The boarding process for just about any airline is nearly identical. It always seems like it takes longer to board than expected even if, in reality, it's not an unreasonable amount of time. The only think I didn't care for was that overhead storage in the area I was sitting was just about full by the time I was seated which meant that I had to store my carry on a few rows behind where I sat. This meant that during off-boarding I needed to go against the flow of people to get back to my carry on. All in all, it was a minor inconvenience."

Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks"

Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using onboard wifi, as well as 2 tv shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."
