Pros: "Crew was really attentive and professional"
Cons: "The boarding was a nightmare. D gates at SeaTac is my least favorite since you need to be shuttled by bus to the play. At that point, your elite or first class status is thrown out the window since it's a free for all to get on board as they pack you in the bus like sardines. It delayed the departure by 30 mins. Also, Alaska should look at getting entertainment sets in the back of the headrests."
Pros: "Yes, yes"
Cons: "No"
Cons: "The cabin was very hot. They boarded the plane way too early. Had to wait a long time while the loaded the luggage"
Pros: "Crew"
Cons: "Lost WiFi once and had to start movie over"
Pros: "737 had adequate legroom. Also, good overhead bin capacity despite my Group D (last) boarding status. HNL-SEA-DFW itinerary was fairly priced. First time to fly Alaska."
Cons: "Pushed back 45 minutes late due to intoxicated passenger, lost luggage at DFW despite having it gate checked (and layover for six hrs at SEA) before departing HNL for DFW."
Pros: "Thomas was great! Upon arriving to the gate, I proceeded to ask if there were any upgraded seats available for purchase. He then gave me a list and asked me to choose where I’d like to sit. Seconds later he printed out a new boarding pass with my chosen seat without charge. Right up front in premium"
Cons: "Not a thing. And I’m not a huge fan of getting on planes to begin with"
Pros: "AK Airlines is a great airline. From timeliness, to service & quality of their planes, it was a great experience for me."
Pros: "Nice plane. Good crew."
Pros: "The USB charging is awesome!"
Cons: "Lack of space"
Pros: "Everything went great with airline, tsa is another story"
Cons: "Two rows up from us, I kid threw up all over the center aisle as we were pulling away from the gate. We returned to the gate to allow a cleaning crew to board and clean. However, the cleaning job was rushed and left remnants of the throw up behind which smelled the whole 2.5 hour flight. It really felt unsanitary and unsafe being that it’s unknown what caused the child to get sick. It very well could have been a stomach virus and could have infected the people in rows around the incident due to the mediocre cleaning job. I understand that it’s important to keep flights on-time, especially for connecting flights, but the safety of the passengers and their health should ALWAYS be the #1 priority."
Pros: "Everything was great! This was my first time flying Alaska Air and I could not have had a better trip! Everything ran according to schedule, I was comfortable during the flight, slept the entire time, staff was great!"
Cons: "The woman making announcements did not specifically announce the duration of the flight as we were departing. I was able to figure it out on the map option on the screen, but I would've liked to hear it verbally. Only suggestion I would have is an announcement on the plane for which baggage claim belt our luggage would come out of. I may not have heard it though, if there was an announcement. It was not difficult at all to figure out once I was in the baggage claim area, however if this was known while we were still on the flight, I prefer to know this info!"
Cons: "Perfect"
Pros: "on time"
Cons: "cramped seating"
Pros: "A huge shout out to Dominic from Marysville,Wa. Thank you for all your help this morning. The flight was very relaxing and much needed after a hectic morning. Thank YOU!!"
Pros: "Good.price for a direct flight. Plane landed on time"
Cons: "Seats were so tight. Deli box has gone down in quality."
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "N/A"
Cons: "2+h delay"
Pros: "I found that the 3 airports we were traveling through were consistently great! If you have happy employees someone is doing something right!!"
Pros: "Competent staff"
Cons: "Definitely a budget airline experience."
Pros: "Nice and easy"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Loading from the back. Logical."
Cons: "These were the tightest seats I've ever experienced on a flight."
Pros: "not much"
Cons: "the crew was crabby. the plane was old. there was no adjustable wings on headrest sat in row 7 but was not part of the 6-10 row premium seats food sucked not impressed"
Pros: "Boarding was efficient, seat was comfortable. I appreciate that food and drinks were offered often."
Cons: "One particular flight attendant purposely ignored me when I tried to ask for cream and sugar for my coffee which she did not offer when handing out drinks. Then she looked right at me twice as I tried to give her my garbage which she was collecting, but she ignored me again and left me holding my garbage until a different flight attendant came much later and took it without incident. It made me wonder if it was because I looked Asian- she was helpful and polite to the white women next to me. I was polite and was not being difficult in any way. I'm half white, but was often treated like this in Illinois when I was growing up. She should have been professional and if she had I would have rated the trip as excellent."
Cons: "It's too cool to sleep."
Pros: "This was first Alaska airlines trip and I want to do more! I showed up at the Seattle airport and tried to use one of the many conveniently placed kiosks. I couldn't find my trip, BECAUSE I HAD BOOKED FOR THE WRONG DAY!. This could have been very stressful but an attendant near the (short) line asked me if needed help and immediately redirected me to the VIP line. There, I found another very short line, and smiling, enthusiastic staff. The young woman who helped me got my info, and walked away to get the problem solved with a supervisor. She returned a short time later, my boarding pass in hand, upgraded me to Premium seating and TSA pre check -- without me even asking! On the plane, I mostly slept, but when I woke up I found the attendant had left me my boxes snack which was a mix of nuts and dried fruit in a fancy package. The seats seemed more comfortable than they were in recent trips on United and Southwest. There were plugs everywhere for phone and device charging. There was free wifi(!!). And there were devices available for borrowing. There was even a website for free movie streaming. In a time when most other airlines have sour faced (need to retire!) attendants (Southwest an exception), and EVERYTHING is a la Carte pricing, it is so nice to fly with a company that tries to make passengers happy and comfortable. What a switch!! You"
Cons: "The only negative was when the lights were abruptly turned on around 4:45 am."
Cons: "We took off late and everyone on board who had a connecting flight missed it."
Pros: "USB charger at the seat was very convenient. There were free in flight movies, but you need to install the GoGo Entertainment app before you leave. Spacious overhead bins"
Cons: "No problems were encountered."
Cons: "There was dried vomit on my seat buckle from a previous flight... I told the flight attendant once we got off (because it was a full flight and I knew they couldn't move me) and asked for hand sanitizer, but I had already sat in that seat for more than three hours and it was truly disgusting and seems like a biohazard to me..."
Pros: "No hassle"
Cons: "No entertainment. Would like screen and movies"
Pros: "The crew was great. They were pleasant and helpful."
Cons: "We were on row 33 d,e, & f. Seats d & e would not recline. The button on seat d was broken. As annoying as that was, there were 3 unaccompanied minors sitting in front of us. Two of them were fine. The third one on the isle seat was up and down, in and out of his seat the majority of the flight. I couldn't sleep. This was my second flight of the day after staying in Seattle for 7 hours waiting between my flights. The kid was loud and it seemed like the crew couldn't correct him. He just did as he pleased. I wasn't the only passenger who had a problem with him. And apparently the crew did as well. I paid a lot of money for that flight and he ruined it for me. If they are going to fly children like that, the crew should be able to correct them so the other passengers can have a pleasant flight."
Pros: "very friendly"
Pros: "They provided excellent & freindly service."
Cons: "Passengers should be made to gate check all bags that roll or have them keep their 2nd carry-on under the seat in front of them."
Pros: "Awesome customer service!!!"
Pros: "The customer service got us on the next available flight. Didn't charge us for our baggage (which they could have). Staff were helpful and realized that we were bone tired (after being awake for over 30 hours). Flight was easy. Crew was nice. Easy access to baggage when we got to PDX. I love Alaska Airlines!"
Cons: "Nothing. They got it all right."
Cons: "Food was practically nonexistent. Seat was extremely crammed for some one with medium height and build. Window seat was so hot I could feel the heat radiation from the flimsy window shade that couldn't even cover the window completely. I had to put up my jacket as insulation."
Pros: "Very friendly and on time"
Cons: "Entertainment app difficult to set up. Oversized bags late. Waited 1 hour."
Pros: "Alaskas great cheese plate"
Cons: "The heat was high, we asked the male steward many times to request the heat turned down, people were removing as much clothing as possible. It was very hot and sticky and smelly. The descent to landing was to fast when near the runway, and we crashed hard like a carrier landing. I would inspect the gear and wing spats for cracks. The fuselage bowed like a banana, it was evident looking down the tube sitting the back. How about a breathalyzer or something, everybody knows the drunken pilots, the can't be fired and they know it, so it takes years to sober them up at our expense. The pilots who've been caught drinking are not trying to get better, they just whine that the others who haven't been caught yet are even worse drunks. Everybody who flys on Alaska has heard it from the same old Alaska born drunken pilots. How about less drunken bush piloting and get your drunken pilots who've been busted in the last few years to shut up and stop telling everyone that all Alaska pilots are drunks as defense of there drunkeness."
Cons: "Gum in seat pocket."
Cons: "Not enough seat space in First Class."
Pros: "Clean, newer airplane with nice layout and pleasant interior. This was a red-eye flight, and the crew was considerate with the announcements and use of lighting, minimizing disturbances to the passengers. I have been on similar flights on other airlines, where the pilot felt the need to update the flight status every hour."
Cons: "Full flight, so there was little wiggle room."
Pros: "Everything best airlines I've ever flown."
Pros: "Crew was very pleasant and helpful throughout the flight!"
Cons: "Seats were roomy but did not feel as if they reclined far enough."
Pros: "On the ground ..TSA said I needed a new boarding pass..3 kiosck wouldn't. Work. Friendly re sent me to Alaska desk where they printed me a new boarding pass but when I went to TSA. I had no passport. Sooooo..back to t he Alaska desk and a wonderful rep named Diane helped me hunt through all my "stuff"...then began talking to all reps helping process passengers. She never gave up. And found my passport at the desk that had made me a new boarding pass. I was so upset I couldn't think straight but she did!, many thanks to this kind lady."
Pros: "Great food selection, service was excellent, power outlets in the seat back is awesome!"
Pros: "i loved the fact that they had TSAPre-Check and priority boarding for Active Duty Military Members.. flight and food was mediocre."
Cons: "The attendants were horrible. I asked one for a simple pencil to write something down and the lady gave me a dirty look. and when they were giving out drinks i asked for another glass over orange juice and she looked at me like i was asking for her internal organs. Not looking forward to my flight back to Seattle next weekend."

Great customer service. Safety and cleanliness. Fly delta.

2hours delayed and didn't give notification right away 🤷‍♀️. I even lost my food to rush to go to the airport. Paid $60 for seafood plate ending just leave it almost halfway on my way to the airport find out the flight was delayed. I wish they have more accurate policy to let passengers knows for any problems about the flight as soon or as early they can

I like that I got to my destination safely.

The TSA screening is absolutely unnecessary. It is dehumanizing and has been proven to be in-effective!

Anyone that purchased a Delta 1st Class seat should have access to the Delta Sky Club. My wife and I purchased 1st Class tickets for a Delta flight from SeaTac to Washington Dulles but were denied entrance to the SeaTac Delta Sky Club because we did have an American Express card.

Really accommodating staff, and on flight amenities. I would fly with Delta again.

Pros: "The seats were very good. The crew was helpful and friendly."
Cons: "We had a connection in Detroit. The flight from Seattle to Detroit arrived about 30 minutes late, and we barely made the connection. Apparently Delta had not told the Detroit-Boston flight to wait a few minutes for us. We did make the connection, but we arrived at the gate with no seat assignment (we had been bumped the day before from our original flight because of a mechanical problem) as the plane was loading. Had we missed the flight, we would have had to spend the night in Detroit and go to Boston the next day. Delta should have told the gate agent that we were coming."
Pros: "Crew attentive, professional, appeared to be enjoying job with full plane."
Cons: "The mew food boxes in furst class taste terrible."
Pros: "Sitting in the exit row"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Great crew."
Cons: "Mask enforcement"
Pros: "Clean safe comfortable plane seats. friendly staff."
Cons: "A small credit for miles as the Wifi didn’t work."
Cons: "Having cocktails available on-board"
Cons: "The exit row that I paid up for, for leg room, didn't have extra leg room. First world problems."
Pros: "This was a redeye flight which are never the best. We upgraded to first class for a chance to sleep. The sanitizing of the aircraft was beyond expectations. The personal wipes were a plus so we could clean the areas around our seats to our satisfaction. The individual snack bags are a great idea to minimize handling."
Pros: "It was nice that the plane was not packed full."
Cons: "Box water instead of water bottles. The seat wasn’t very comfortable since it wouldn’t recline."
Pros: "Crew was very attentive. I appreciated the extra spacing between passengers."
Cons: "I would have liked to see alcohol served."
Cons: "There should not be a pay wall around the internet in today's day and age"
Pros: "Everything from hospitality to the ease of the flight. Captain communicated to put all at ease during this time in which this pandemic has gotten many fearful of flying. Great landing as well."
Cons: "Everything was great!"
Pros: "Crew was great, flight in general was okay"
Cons: "The plane itself and seating was filthy, some unknown substance fell on me from the vent above, there was a bunch of crumbs in the seat buckle that fell out all over my lap when I fastened it. I'm not sure the tray table was wiped down, or at least not very well. The in-flight tracker was completely incorrect, I was on a 4-hour flight and it read 14 hours and counting throughout."
Cons: "Baggage was extremely delayed. Boarding and take off were delayed too"
Pros: "Flight was comfortable and smooth all the way"
Cons: "Tastier food options"
Cons: "We weren't alerted there was a chance of delays. Over two hours late."
Pros: "The crew was great and the free entertainment was great"
Cons: "Bring back pillows and blankets especially on red eyes out of Anchorage"
Pros: "Crew was very friendly and efficient. Flight was pretty smooth."
Cons: "On time departure would have been nice. 2.5 hours late."
Cons: "2 seats and neither tv/entertainment centres worked....unacceptable on a 10 hr flight!"
Pros: "The entertainment was nice."
Cons: "If the screen wasn’t behind the seat. I could hear the tapping of the person behind me."
Pros: "Crew had pleasant personalities.. not stoic annoyed faces"
Cons: "People should wait their turn getting off the planes “Wait until the seat in front of you is empty,” says the elementary school teacher .."
Pros: "Crew was very upbeat and helpful"
Pros: "Excellent service in most every respect! Boarding was easy, accommodations were quite ample, food was great, and the entertainment was plentiful."
Cons: "Slight problem with making my seat into a bed, which wasn't fixable. Movies were good, except for the trailers before and after each, which seemed to take forever! Didn't get the seats my wife and originally booked with China Southern/Delta, but the substitution was quite adequate! Problems with checking in on flights, as neither airline seemed to be able to deal with this split ticket! But they tried very hard to make thing up to us, which goes a long way to making us feel like we are valued customers!"
Cons: "Missed connecting flight because the first flight was delayed by 2.5 hours. I didn’t get the comfort seat I paid for because of this and was not given a refund for it."
Pros: "I think they flew so fast. We could land almost on time even though we departed a hour late. Airplane was new and clean."
Cons: "Boarding was chaos. They overbooked 25? 45? Anyway, they are in panic. They tried to request ppl to take next day flight by giving away 300 gift card etc. the ppl who were told there are no seats upset and arguing at the gate. Flight was delayed for one hour. Once we are on airplane, they are still shuffling seats around, so ppl cannot move forward. Just standing there for 10mins waiting for things to settle. Flight attendants did not give us a headphone. (I have a headphone for iPhone X so I could not connect it to their entertaiment system.)"
Cons: "Over an hour delay before boarding due to supposedly bad weather. Because flight was overbooked they were offering $400 gift card to change to standby on another flight. If you didn’t make that flight (evening), you’d be confirmed on a flight the following morning with one stop in Detroit (we booked a nonstop to Chicago). Uh, no thanks. Then to top it off, we’ve landed and been told that it will be at least an hour before we can deplane due to no availability at the gate (it’s 1145 pm right now). All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."
Pros: "This was our first time flying Delta and it was a very pleasurable experience. Boarding was very straight forward and the seats allocated comfortable. A surprise for us was being asked if we would like to move seats from the back of the aircraft to Comfort Economy (we think it was to do with weight balance! but appreciated very much none the less). The flight attendants were very professional and helpful, as you would hope all attendants on all airlines would be. We'd gladly fly Delta again anytime."
Pros: "Amenities, service, and punctuation of flight"
Cons: "Partner site said it was Aeromexico. First flight was delta so different check bag policy for internal flight that cost me $80. Screw you all"
Pros: "Nothing really"
Cons: "Flight delay further to the 30 minutes additional 20 min due to crew being not there"
Pros: "Nothing, they didn’t care about you or to help, the llady was so rude and unfriendly, this situation ruin my whole trip"
Cons: "I call in advance to paid the fees for baggage, I call Aeromexico because was the main airline for the fly, but Delta at Seattle made me paid again the fees for baggage’s even by phone they said that I didn’t need to paid. BE AWARE AND CAREFUL BECAUSE THE LADIES IN THE FRONT DESK didn’t even look the paperwork that you have in hand, they only want to charge you saying that your payment thru Aeromexico didn’t help you in the 1st fly. How this can happen when Delta and Aeromexico are two subsidiary one of another ?"
Pros: "Boarding is easy as always, I like Delta's system."
Cons: "I had a seat by an exit door. I was incredibly uncomfortable the entire flight due to the cold air comin in and hitting my feet / legs. Two coats and a blanket weren't enough to remedy the issue."
Pros: "It was whatever"
Pros: "No vegetarian options in first class.. and go go wouldn5 hook up. Flight was an hour late...but that was ok."
Cons: "The pilot did a nice job of flying in and banking so we could see the view.."
Pros: "Almonds"
Cons: "Seat, did not get upgraded"
Pros: "Great service, very comfortable."
Pros: "The service on board is always GREAT! in Aeromexico"
Cons: "The flight was canceled and we were put in another flight next night. But the staff in Buenos Aires run the situation chaotically and made mistakes that infuriated many passengers. They need more training to learn how to say "I am sorry" more often and know how to avoid getting into arguments with passengers."
Pros: "The crew was friendly and attentive, and the flights were punctual. I was assigned a good seat, and I appreciated the meal, as i was going to arrive in Mexico very late. I also enjoyed the entertainment options."
Cons: "I really have no negative comments."
Pros: "Smaller plane, aisle seat with a lot of leg room (5c), smooth flight"
Cons: "Shorter flight so no snacks/drinks were served, although requests were fulfilled."
Pros: "Food selection and quality were fine. I also enjoyed the entertainment options. Seat area was comfortable and spacious."
Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."
Pros: "Good Snacks, crew is friendly, toilet was clean and we arrived on time"
Cons: "Nothing"
Cons: "As a Platinum AFK/KLM Skyteam member I was NOT allowed to use the Delta Lounge. On the flight the meal choice was poor and the staff were not really geared to serving regular clients. The movie choice was poor. I expected better!"
Pros: "Accident on way to airport, so I showed up to check bags 45 minutes before flight time. They said they couldn't get the bag to the plane..in 45 minutes? So, they put on the next flight... 6 hours later. Said I could fly without the bag... uh, no thanks. They would not look for alternatives without charging me more. Flight attendants were crabby, otherwise everything was fine. I flew British Airways a few months ago. Night and day. Seriously. Delta does not even approach having good service. There was no comparison to British Air--- Delta is not in the same league."
Pros: "We had a whole row of 3 to our family, so we could put the armrests up & the kids just laid down in our row (on me, & each other) and slept most of the flight. The flight crew was very understanding and helpful with my kids who were just with me on an intl flight "daddy duty.""
Cons: "Since it was a flight from Seoul, Korea to Seattle; it would've been nicer if all the movies had Korean subtitles-- my 4-yo boy who only speaks Korean, couldn't make it through more than 15 mins of a movie because he couldn't understand (of course, some of that is due to age & short attention-span). But he kept saying, "I hate English" in Korean while trying to pick a movie. Also, I'm 6'2"; so while it was nice having the whole row for my kids to lay down in-- I was cramped and uncomfortable the whole flight, even moreso with Delta's seats being closer together than on other international carriers I've flown."

Given how many delays and cancellations other airlines are having, I was very pleased with both flights of my trip being on time, easy to check-in & board.

Great trip, excellent price! No entertainment on board which is typical for this short flight. I did enjoy the option to purchase snacks.

Friendly staff at all levels. Efficient boarding, new clean plane, arrived 20 minutes early, lowest price available. No entertainment and food for purchase only. Great deal though for a short flight!

Pros: "Seat was average."
Cons: "If frontier was offering drinks and snacks again"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "They need to stop charging for carryon bags. Also they need more comfortable seats."
Cons: "Check in bags. No one at ticket counter. Airport had to page a frontier employee to get to the ticket counter over the airport intercom. Pretty bad look for you guys. Embarrassing honestly. Seems like a disjointed company. As a result many people saying they wouldn’t take frontier again"
Pros: "Crew too busy talking to each other."
Cons: "Focus on passengers needs. Enforce COVID rules! Flight too full. $3.00 for a small bottle of water. $60.00 for a carry on ONE WAY is hwy robbery!"
Pros: "It got the job done"
Cons: "We were delayed about 45 minutes, which happens, I’m fine with that. I did not like that there was zero communication about it. Up until the scheduled takeoff they still hadn’t told us it would be delayed and nothing else was updated either to indicated a delay."
Cons: "The way have to bus us to the plane."
Cons: "Plane was scheduled to depart at 8:20 pm it was then delayed until 8:58 pm due to weather. We all boarded the plane and were ready for take off when a maintenance issue was discovered. We all deplaned and we’re told we would be put on a new plane arriving from Seattle set to depart at 11:30 pm. This departure time was delayed until 1:35 am and then 2:35 am because the captain had timed out and we would need to wait for a new pilot. Also due to the first delay everything was coded as “weather” and customer service was unable to give hotel rooms. This miscommunication between corporate and passengers and the late night created lots of frustration. Instead of being helpful or honest customer service called security on the disgruntled passengers. I heard no threats of violence just elevated voices. At midnight Frontier began handing out meal vouchers (15 dollars to McDonald’s) as a way to increase morale. I finally gave up and requested a refund, got a hotel, and a new flight on a different airline (all Frontier flights the next day were sold out). When I asked what would happen to my checked luggage they said it would be sent to Dallas (my destination) or I could pay for it to be sent back to Denver. The flight and my luggage arrived in Dallas at 5:30 am. Paid $400 for Southwest flight the next day (flying into different Dallas airport away from my parked car and luggage) just for the guaranteed service."
Cons: "My seat was not worth an extra $50. Sat next to a lady with a stinky dog in her lap that was probably a little too big for lap."
Pros: "I boarded relatively quickly, but that was about the nicest thing about it."
Cons: "Well, the tray tables were about 5in x 8in and didn't slide forward, rendering it useless for basically anything. A laptop wouldn't fit anyway, but since it didn't slide out, the screen would have been tilted too far forward to properly see it as it was up against the seat and it was too unstable not to also hold my laptop while I sat there. With significantly less leg room than I've previously experienced on an economy class flight, laying down on the tray table to sleep was also impossible. When I first got on the plane, the air conditioner started and rather than feeling comfortable and less sweaty and gross, I just began to smell stale air that I was almost convinced was carbon monoxide as I was flying from Seattle and there had been smoke all around Washington due to forest fires. It was horribly uncomfortable and annoying even for sitting in coach. And I wasn't on an older or smaller airplane where I'd expect a little less concern for comfort, it seemed like it was very modern and it was a very large place. Leg room could have easily been increased by losing one to two rows of seats (seats that would most likely be empty anyway I might add). Airplanes tend not to be the most comfortable mode of travel anyway, but I would say this was the worst one."
Pros: "Literally nothing."
Cons: "I charged the airfare, thinking that would be all, like other airlines. Then I found out they charge for luggage. THEN I found out they charge me for a seat... on the flight I already paid for. Boarding was disorganized, seats were thin padding on plastic, quite uncomfortable. I also had to clean crumbs and trash off my seat before settling in. They charge you 2.99 each for water and airline peanuts; i didn't partake. they only gave me one boarding pass and when I boarded the plane, they said that is was the flight to Denver and then they were continuing on to Columbus. I assumed this meant I stayed on the plane when we landed in Denver, but no, they informed me the plane was then going to Cedar Rapids. I had no second boarding pass or gate number, so I asked the attendant. She took forever to help me, looking up my info for a minute and then talking to the other attendants and passing out papers to the boarding crew before acknowledging me again. Twenty minutes later, I had my gate, which I barely made to board in time for flight takeoff. Overall, the process was stressful, uncomfortable, and more expensive than if I had purchased a flight from Delta, Southwest, or Alaska. (All airlines I have flown and been happy with. Delta had a missed layover once and completely put me up for the night and was very helpful through the whole affair.) All said and done, I will not be flying Frontier again."
Pros: "2.5 hours is long enough to get thirsty, a cup of water would have been nice."
Pros: "The trip from Seattle to Denver was fine--We boarded on time and arrived in Denver on time. No problems."
Cons: "There was a long line of people waiting at the airport for agents to arrive and get us checked in. We were all getting anxious. I feel the cost of checking the suitcase was WAY too expensive. $45.00 is alot and other airlines charge $25.00---Where are the days of being able to check one suitcase and not have to pay extra???"
Pros: "The crew was great. The pilot lightened the mood with humor and the announcements were useful ( weather, time zone changes, ETA etc... ). The plane was clean and the price was low."
Cons: "You have to pay forty dollars for a carry on and for any beverage or snack on the flight. There was confusion about the seats as we boarded, which we did by zones, but still had aisle traffic which defeated the purpose. My connection was moved to another gate and they failed to announce it ( yes it was on the screen, but I don't travel that often and was lucky to notice it just as we were boarding... luckily just a few minutes walk away ). The plane offers no entertainment at all ( which is fine for me, but worth knowing... bring a dvd player or something for long trips )."
Cons: "I had to pay 40 dollars to check my bag or 45 to carry on with me. Ladies were accommodating when asked to change my seat from a middle to an aisle which was nice as I wasn't given the option to pick my seat while purchasing but when I arrived to my seat a grandmother was sitting with her grandchildren. I of course was not going to ask anyone to move, so I was ushered off to the next available seat. Was happy to let a family sit together but was not please with the lack of profession to begin with."
Cons: "No emailed itinerary or checkin notification - I blame Kayak for this (it seems to happen whenever I book through Kayak) and will no longer book flights through Kayak. Frontier sucks, but you already know that going in so you get what you expect."
Pros: "the beginning price - maybe?"
Cons: "I got to the airport in Dallas 2 hours before my 6:55 flight, and at that very moment, received a text that the flight was delayed 3 hours. At that time, there was NO ONE at the Frontier check in to explain what was going on. I understand there was excessive wind in Denver, but there should have at least been a Frontier representative at the gate in Dallas. On my way home, again the flight was delayed by an hour because of something on a previous leg. Because of this, I am going to go with any other airline first. I think Frontier should either co-op with other airlines to get people to their destinations on time or have more planes.......or AT LEAST have someone at the gate to offer next day service or a voucher or a free snack or something. I also do not like the whole A LA CARTE theme with this airline and Spirit Air. I do not like that I was going to be charged for a coffee or a coke. The whole thing is too confusing, and I am going to pay more for an American, United or Southwest flight next time."
Cons: "They say low fares done right but my "cheap" flight turned out to cost me over double what it should have with their extra cost for everything! And I mean for EVERYTHING. Will never fly frontier again!"
Cons: "Our flight out of Denver got CANCELED along with a whole bunch of others. Seems there were having crew issues, not the BS reasons corporate was saying. Lots of stranded people in Denver. We stood in line for 3 hours to get a refund. (we decided to go with another airline, some people had been stranded for a week!) One sad items was a soldier had been on deployment for TWO years and was trying to get home. He had been stranded since Friday (it was now Monday). The agent just shrugged and said get in line. Frontier should have booked him on another airline! Finally, a lady in line heard of his plight and bought him a ticket right there on the spot! (on another airline of course). SHAME ON FRONTIER. We will NOT fly them again! #NEVERFLYFRONTIER"
Pros: "The crew on my flight from Dallas to Denver did nothing about the obnoxious children (6 & 9yrs old) behind me who kept screaming, yelling & kicking my seat & the one next to me. The little boy behind my neighbor stood up & hit the man on the head."
Cons: "While waiting on my flight in Denver to go back to Dallas they changed gates on at least 5 different flights & it was very confusing watching groups of 50-100 passengers moving back & forth. This all happened in about 15min & my flight was called to board during all this chaos but because the woman making the announcements did not speak very good English I along with several others missed our flights. When i went to customer service to rebook my flight they tried to charge me $100 to rebook!!!!! Other airlines will try to book you on the next available flight thru another airline. Frontier told me the next available was 24hrs later, same time the next day. I was supposed to be back at work the next day. So i ended up spending $150 on a hotel room that i couldn't really afford. I WILL NOT FLY WITH FRONTIER AGAIN."
Cons: "We lost a whole day of our trip because our bag was lost. It took us so long to recover it that our quick weekend getaway was cut in half because we spent our first day there trying to recover our bag. When calling all the numbers that had been given to us by Frontier staff all the customer service reps were notable to help us and seemed unwilling to even try. Very disappointing."
Pros: "Lights turned off at night, not a lot of announcements to disturb sleeping passengers. Plane was clean. Crew seemed fine enough."
Cons: "To begin with, a three-hour delay on what was already just a four-hour flight, and no steps made to even offer snacks or discounts or other amenities to apologize for the gross delay. Very uncomfortable seats; even dead tired, I could not get much sleep. I usually use the food tray as a place to rest my head, but it was far too small to use for that. Upon landing, another 45 minutes of delay as we waited for our gate to become free, and again, no measures taken to apologize or make us as customers feel like they wanted us to feel even a little bit better about the situation. I get that it's a cheap flight option, but even so, the company needs to take more responsibility for its internal problems."
Pros: "Price, a non-stop route at a good times, friendly attendants and pilot."
Cons: "Paying extra for many things that are typically included (water, almost all seats, carry-ons), seats didn't recline and weren't comfortable if flight is long, no magazine to read."
Cons: "THE FLIGHT KEPT BEING DELAYED ALL DAY AND THEN IT WAS CANCELLED. PASSENGERS HAD TO SECURE OTHER FLIGHTS TO THEIR DESTINATIONS. SOME EVEN MISSED IMPORTANT EVENTS LIKE FUNERALS, CRUISES APPOINTMENTS, ETC. I WAS A DAY LATE FOR MY EVENT. I THINK WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD IMMEDIATELY SO WE COULD HAVE MADE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS EARLIER. I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER AND WILL NOT CONSIDER FLYING FRONTIER IN THE FUTURE!!!!!!!! THAT WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME TO PURCHASE TRANSPORTATION FROM FRONTIER AIRLINES."
Pros: "I was transported safely from point A to B. That's about it."
Cons: "Check-in was atrocious as we watched the clerks migrate from one crisis to the next, and no TSA pre-check. WAITING at every stage of the flight. You would think a one-way would be simple, but no. An hour at the departure terminal, delayed in-air, then sitting on the taxiway for an hour and a half at the destination, followed by more waiting at the gate. The pilot's excuses didn't help any, clearly trying to avoid an onboard riot for a flight in which we waited longer on the ground than we flew in the air. We checked the board afterward to see if any other airlines' flights were delayed--nope, only Frontier, every one. It's clear what happens. They pay the least possible expense for airport services, and are then the lowest priority at every stage of operations, resulting in delays at every phase of flight. The most frustrating flight I've ever had that didn't include actual incompetence or bad weather."
Cons: "Got to the airport 2 hours early to check in. The kiosk told me to see an attebdant. No attendants were at the Frontier desk. The nearest employees (jetblue) told me yesterday that the Frontier employees never showed up and that people missed their flights. My flight along with several other people who were waiting as well, seemed to have either been cancelled without alerting us. My confirmation number didn't register on the kiosk a half hour after I originally tried it. No employees ever arrived to the desk. Having to go to United to buy another ticket. I would expect either a full refund or a travel voucher in replacement. I paid 300 dollars and had to arrive 6 hours later than originally planned. As I live three hours from the Denver airport, this will get me home at 1 am. I have to be at work tomorrow at 7am. I will never fly frontier again."
Pros: "The price and the actual flight was quick and the attendants were nice."
Cons: "Stephen Lucero 352936 discriminated against us at the gate. We were the only two people out of everyone boarding flight F9 129 to be pulled aside and asked to pay for a personal item that fit the size restrictions of the metal bag sizer outside the gate. We watched 50+ people walk onto the plane with not issues with multiple and bigger bags. We waited patiently but with frustration for an explanation and he could not offer one. When we asked what the problem was with us he threatened to not allow us to board whether or not we paid the bag fee. He did not take care of our unjust bag payment until 9:11 which was after the doors of the plane were to be closed. Aside from him being rude (which is a major understatement) paying for the bag wouldnt not have been an issue and it would have been justified had we not just flew into Denver two days before with the exact same bags. I was both embarrassed and humiliated and out of money for no reason."
Pros: "Delays happen. However, to be stuck at the ticket counter and not to get past that to the comfort of a lounge or restaurant is something else. So not only was there a delay, but those of us who got there early could do nothing but wait-- with NO ONE at the ticket counter for the first 40 minutes."
Cons: "Tried to cancel this flight using the flight insurance I was up sold during checkout. Turns out that the flight insurance was only available for international flights? When I ask the agent why it was the recommended during purchase, she said I should have read the full terms and conditions during checkout. To me, this was a true scam. She told me that I could appeal the conditions of the travel insurance, but I would have to present a death certificate of the friend's baby that had just passed - the reason the baby shower was cancelled, and the reason this trip was cancelled. It was appalling. I tried calling Frontier directly, but their reservation desk was closed due to their system being down. HOURS I tried to call, and could not get a rep. I ended up not able to cancel the flight or even speak w a Frontier rep before my flight departed. In all, I was given 6 different numbers or lines to call to sort through this situation. All I did was waste hours of my time. This was a terrible situation where I feel like I was the victim of a scam."
Cons: "It is very clear that Frontier is a budget airline that prioritizes money over people. Right down to the unnecessary announcement that you may not drink your own 'minis' but are required to purchase their liquor (at ridiculously inflated prices). The pretty girls who approached us and offered perks...for a price as we queued for more than an hour simply to check in, made me feel even more like faceless animal prey with dollars in my pockets. I will not fly Frontier again, no matter how 'cheap' their tickets."
Pros: "The flight crew, and the view out the plane. I did enjoy the minimalistic seat design, which probably allows for more people per plane."
Cons: "The hidden fees, frontier wanting you to pay to pick your seat location after already purchasing the ticket. That is really lame. No complementary beverage (not even water) or snack on 3 hour flight... also lame. Frontier claims to be affordable airfare but has you pay for way more than just the plane ticket after the fact. I opted to not pay to pick seat location and was able to still sit next to my friend but I bet there are a good amount of people who have a family and feel pressured to spend way more money to pick seats so they are not separated. Just makes frontier seem like a money hungry company that cares more about money than it's customers. The flight home (Denver to Seattle) was an hour and a half late, which sucks, but whatever life happens. I didn't really like the airbus plane that made weird plane noises, why do you not use Boeing planes?"
Pros: "Newer jet, clean, smooth flight"
Cons: "Two of the three flight attendants were a little obnoxious. Before we took off, the female African American attendant openly said that people weren't listening to her about stowing carry on bags and said "this is like dealing with a bunch of 2-yr olds" uncalled for in my opinion. The only male attendant was insincere on his announcements and it's the first time I've ever flown (hundreds before) where on two occasions he asked for people to clean up after themselves. Also the lines at the sole checkin desk in Seattle was too long. Should have had more than one person checking people in. I'd not recommend this airline if I was asked today what my opinion was."
Pros: "Flight times"
Cons: "Terribly uncomfortable seating -- the worst I've ever experienced; horrible baggage charges for carry-on and checked, both -- and lack of straight-forward discussion of fees which are, at the very least, semi-hidden; the only time since People's Express that I've not been offered a soft drink or juice w/out a charge. Terrible baggage handling and lack of assistance and information regarding the extreme lateness of checked bags being produced for the entire flight at baggage claim. Will not fly Frontier again unless assured of corrections to all of these problems."
Pros: "The crew was kind and professional."
Cons: "I have never been charged $40 for a carry on. I suppose I missed some fine print about that, however it seems absolutely rediculous. The airplane seats feel more like bus seats. They do not recline and are missing a head rest or anything resembling a cushion. The airlines seems to gouge you for anything they possibly can. Even their bitter airplane coffee costs $2. I am actually surprised I wasn't charged for bringing on a jacket. I almost had to switch flights and after speaking on the phone with one of their representatives found out that if they do that over the phone there is a $50 service charge (for speaking to someone on the phone) on top of the $100 change fee and decided against it. I will absolutely never fly Frontier again. There are many other low cost options that include basic amenities like normal seats and free carry on luggage. Seriously, don't fly Frontier."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "First leg of our trip was delayed so we could not make our connection. We were told they could fly us to Denver and catch other flight home 3 days later or completely rebook to the next closest city. (They do not partner with anyone so you are stuck with their flights) Which we then needed to book a hotel, cab fares to the megabus station, then cab fares back to our original destination. Once arriving, and even though we checked in hours before our flight, our baggage was missing along with about 10 other passengers. Frontier had no one at their baggage service when we arrived. So I had the drive 2 hours back the next day. Called the help line. The person was rude and began getting loud with me, even though they are the ones that lost our bags. 90% of all the customer service people we encountered were extremely rude and would not help. Nor were they very accommodating for all their mess ups. For all our troubles, the rude "customer service" people, and out additional hundreds of dollars; Frontier sent us a coupon for a whooping $50 to use on their airline. No thanks, will never fly this airline again."
Pros: "It was expensive stupid bait and switch on bags and Cost to check in is wrong.. Seats are the worst ever!!!! The crew was grumpy. I will not be flying With them agin after this trip!"
Pros: "Nice seats. The lady next to me."
Cons: "Where are the free peanuts?!"
Pros: "On Friday, July 8, at DIA airport I waited almost an hour before someone took me to my gate A42 for Flight 122 supposedly departing at 8:10 and boarding at 7:35. Finally, I had to bring this to the attention of the ticket agent as I did not want to miss my flight. Noone came and the poor overworked worker took me at 7:45 -we did not arrive at the gate until 8 o'clock (luckily the TSA checkpoints were NOT busy) and had the flight been on time, I would probably have missed it. This gentleman asked repeatedly for assistance for over 40 minutes and no one came to his aid. I panicked and I want Corporate to know they need to hire adequate help so their customers are not treated like dirt. Once I boarded, the crew was fabulous! However, I am not happy about such a horrible experience. I deserve a refund or free return ticket for my inconvenience. I have flown other airlines and have never had such a negative experience with wheelchair assistance!!!"
Cons: "You all charge piece meal for everything; yet you don't hire enough people - I bet Corporate executives are getting their fair share!"
Pros: "The only thing to praise was the smooth take-off and landing."
Cons: "This airline is deceptive from the get go. Their seemingly "low fares" are quickly offset by their outrageous fees for baggage and carry-ons and everything else. $35 to $40 for a carry-on, or checked baggage, and even if you pay the money to bring a carry-on, there is an additional $40 fee to store it in the overhead bin! Another catch is if you do not pay for all these fees before arriving at the airport, Frontier may charge you $60 at the airport. None of these charges are evident when initially booking the flight online but only when checking in. I called the airline to voice my disbelief over these fees and was treated very coldly and was told that Frontier is an "a la carte" airline. On the ground, my flight was almost an hour late though the reader board continually boasted of the flight being "on time." (My wife and I barely made our connecting flight in Denver). Ground crew in Seattle were not personable in the least. Many folks around us were equally put off by all the up-charges they were being told about. On board you will discover the seats are hard plastic with little cushioning and do not even recline. Forget about wi-fi or charging your phone or laptop. Non-alcoholic drinks $2. I jokingly asked if I put my coat in the overhead, would be charged $40? Crew member did not appreciate the humor. Everyone else did. Perhaps if you are a college student traveling with a small backpack (i.e, a "personal item") and don't care about comfort to save a buck, you might be happy with Frontier, However, for the rest of us, this kind outfit is a joke. I will never use recommend much less us this airline again. Do yourself a favor and book your next flight on a reputable airline."
Pros: "The stewardists were nice."
Cons: "It is insane how terrible Frontier has become. They were the first airline, and used to be the only airline I would fly. They now are gimmicky, money pinching, and obviously have no care for their customers. I will never fly Frontier again, not just because of these concerns, but also because these concerns lead me to worry about who they hire to fly the plane. I would imagine if they care so little as to not have a person there to check bags in, that they probably would also save a couple bucks to pay an inexperinced flight captain, who could make a deadly mistake. I arrived at SeaTac airport early with my girlfriend so that we could eat before her flight together at a real restaurant that is after security. Nobody was there to check me in. Luckily all of my liquids were under the limit. So decided to check my bag at the door, the first go it turns out frontier is the only airline you can't use your phone to scan your ticket at security. BOGUS! I kissed my girlfriend goodbye and went to print out a ticket. I then went througb security AGAIN and was taken aside for additional screening for things in my check bag that i SHOULD NOT have had on me would Frontier had the decency to pay someone $10/hour to be at the front. My baby powder got yellow flagged at this additional screening and i had to be patted down, empty out all my bags and sit as I has humuliated by the TSA as they thoroughly looked through and checked all of my footwear and electronics for explosives. This took an additional half hour. I then missed lunch with my girlfriend completely, as she had to get on her flight. The lady checking me in was nice enough and took care of the checked bag issue as it was obvious from her reaction that this happens all the time. Frontier then while on the flight does a 3 minute gimmiky talk about buying their credit card, everyone made fun of it. Just insane, did a bunch of used car salesmen buy Frontier? It sure seems like it. I will never fly Frontier and will urge all the people I know to do the same."
Pros: "cheap"
Cons: "no amenities"
Pros: "The plane didn't crash."
Cons: "Many years ago, I was an Early Rewards member who flew Frontier any time I could. No longer. The ticket price no longer resembles what you will pay. Now they charge $15-35 to get a seat, another $30-$35 to check or carry on each piece, and sit in uncomfortable seats that do not recline. These extra charges cause long delay at the check in counter even if I already checked in and only needed to check a bag because everyone else had to pay. Now I'll only fly Frontier if there is no alternative."
Pros: "Cheap tickets"
Cons: "Extra charges every step of the way, seats were too cramped to sleep on the red eye flight."
Pros: "The best part about the flight was when we landed in Dallas."
Cons: "The most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. The seats were very hard and could not adjust. There was no information about the flight provided at any time during the flight except for when we were preparing to land. Compared to American Airlines (which we flew with on our way to Denver), Frontier has no comparison. There was absolutely no entertainment provided, and there were additional costs and fees at every turn. Not only do they charge for any and all refreshments, they also charge you to have a carry-on bag. The flight was also very very loud. The cabin rattled and roared for the entire hour and a half flight. We will not be flying Frontier again unless some major upgrades are made."
Pros: "N/A"
Cons: "Ticket looked cheaper than other airlines, but I paid just as much once you add on the price of your carry on ($30 for one bag - one way), your seat selection (from $9 - $30 just to have an assignment), and even your soda ($2). I spent an additional $156 above the ticket price for my wife and I to attend a funeral. That came out to $45 "savings" than flying on a major airlines would have cost. I will gladly pay the additional $45 next time and have a better experience on an airline that it still trying."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Didn't like being misled on price. Charges for "a bag" and "a seat" were not made known until AFTER the reservation was made. Refer to the original business/pricing model. 1. Everyone has some baggage. Deal with it. Enforce carry on limits 100% and openly offer check bag at a reasonable price. 2. Seats are NOT a profit option. Seats are increasingly uncomfortable, cramped and added with premium charges. Finally, the travel experience should be a pleasant and memorable one, considering the time strapped in a seat. Its OK to have Coach & Premium seating, but stop adding "option pricing" for an increasingly poor experience. I will not fly Frontier again."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "I get their and theirs no one to check me in. I was an hour early and a half early and yet,I didn't see anyone at the front desk. I kept asking the flight group next door if they Had a clue weather or not they were their, and all I got for an hour str8 is " they'll be back shortly ". They never came. I missed my flight. And important meetings in Texas. Now I'm Re-schedule for Friday. When I'm Suppose to Be their Before Thursday. And besides all the "BS" they Charge You Extra and Hella Expensive on the Baggage and carry on. It's like ur Buying a House with all the Hidden Fees they Don't Mention. ***Worst Experience Yet"
Cons: "Arrived late. Baggage was overcharged. They charged me for carry on bag besides baggage claimed. Upon late arrival waited an hour till I got my baggage Arrived late. Baggage was overcharged. They charged me for carry on bag besides baggage claimed. Upon late arrival waited an hour till I got my baggage Arrived late. Baggage was overcharged. They charged me for carry on bag besides baggage claimed. Upon late arrival waited an hour till I got my baggage Arrived late. Baggage was overcharged. They charged me for carry on bag besides baggage claimed. Upon late arrival waited an hour till I got my baggage"

Flight was cancelled hours before departure. They did find us another flight in which we almost missed because our tickets weren’t confirmed until an hour before our new flight.

Pros: "None"
Pros: "Crew was delightful and entertaining- a great flight"
Cons: "Reclining sears?"
Pros: "The fligt and crew was fine Im just upset because I had to pay $50 for a standard back pack as a carry on CRAZy!"
Cons: "Not charge so much for a carry on!"
Pros: "First budget friendly flight I've ever taken."
Cons: "Budget friendly flight, but I'll never book another flight based on budget. This was very poor set up for a plane, uncomfortable seats, don't recline, tiny tray tables for individuals to use. I shipped my clothes ahead in flat rate shipping box cause of your Al Carte baggage fees!!!! Ridicious!"
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Better seating, meeting time hacks, and complimentary snack/water"
Pros: "Not one thing. Besides they got they destination right. The staff hate they’re jobs. Everyone involved in this spirit airlines besides the pilots was in a bad mood.. I really liked how they waited till literally the last min an said your bag that you have used on your 8,564 previous flights to date. Is now 65$ to put in the same exact spot you were going to put your bag to begin with.. the same bag I’ve used for a shade under two decades of travel."
Cons: "You don’t have a box big enough for that. Bought ticket day in advance with insurance for this reason. checked in several hours in advance itenary machine could not print duplicate messed up several people days with not putting us on our flight. An then charging me 100$ more to secure the seat on the next flight. When all they had to do was print the item ready. I had meetings scheduled days in advance I missed that were worth 50x this entire ticket. An the airline doesn’t even know who it is that sells the insurance.? That’s a strait up scam.. worst airline in years. From the experience an the staff all the way around I was embarrassed to say I used this airline. If I had to guess on anything I think it’s close to being the next airline to hit the scrap yard. No one in this air line is committed to they’re work. I’ve always said “ Experience is the best teacher in anything”. An I’ve learned enough from this one...."
Pros: "All was easy"
Cons: "Seats are a little uncomfortable for loner flights."
Pros: "I LOVED that we got in 30 min early to DFW!! Woot!"
Cons: "I didn’t like waiting an hour in baggage claim for my luggage to finally appear"
Pros: "Stewards were very nice"
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "too expensive, i should have flown Alaska, thought i'd give you a try flights were late, left late and arrived late round trip charge for water? this is ridiculous - a lady was choking behind us and the attendant would not give her water unless she paid, very inconsiderate"
Pros: "Flight started and reached on time."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "We paid for the luggage when checking in, arrive to airport had to pay again because "the system" did not see it even we show them the bank statement showing the charge is pending. No even free cup of water for 2h20 long flight. Seat was so uncomfortable, and it remind of meat packing bus in India. My friend get charge $100 per carry on luggage because they "THINK" it was too big even though after you paid you still have to carry it on airplane and fit in the overhead compartment, what a highway robber. We thought we got a deal because the ticket is cheap but they DO find a way, or two, to steal more money from you. Never ever will I flight with this airline again."
Pros: "On the plane, the seats were extremely comfortable, with a lot of leg room, even on the standard seats. Much more than on any flight I had flown with Southwest domestic. The staff was also a lot friendlier and generous. And there was plenty of room on the flight which made comfort affordable."
Cons: "They announced that the flight was departing from a different gate, but it wasn't listed on their website and there was no way to verify it on any screens. The gate that they said the flight would be departing out of instead still had the destination on it for the previous flight. Then, after that flight departed, it showed the destination for the next flight scheduled to leave out of that gate, not the one I was on. So frankly, a lot of people were very confused on where they were supposed to be waiting. Especially since, there was boarding for a different flight at the first gate, and no screen showing the flight that was being boarded there. So it caused a lot of nervousness for a lot of us, not being sure where we were supposed to be and afraid we would miss our boarding call."
Cons: "Seats were very thin, had has children kicking and screaming behind me on both flights. Both flights were late for takeoff, which was very inconvenient, and lastly I do not think your airline prices justify charging $3 for something to drink! I paid about $90 for a United direct flight to Boston, where I had free drinks, and yet I paid $150 through you guys to take two flights home as you had no direct flights back. I will never fly Spirit Airlines again. Your flights are not cheap enough either to justify charging $90 for two checked bags. Good luck, but I would rather take United."
Pros: "Easy and quick boarding"
Cons: "You get what you pay for and the flight was super cheap. However, the nickle and dime gouging for bags was a turnoff. The main reason I'll never fly again though, was pure discomfort. The seats resemble metal folding chairs with fabric stretched over them and they don't recline - at all. For a cross country trip and a red-eye return these are deal breakers. Two days later and my back still aches. This airline does a good job at what it does, however, that's not very much. If you have more than two pennies to rub together, you'd be smart to sterr clear of it, as I will be doing from now on. Lesson learned and chalking this one up to experience."
Pros: "I had a bad experience which I had not had in my life. First of all this airline delayed in Phoenix to Dallas about one and half hour, which I accepted cause one of my agent called me before. I missed my connection at Dallas to Fort Launderdale, I stayed at the airport for 12 hours. On my way back to Phoenix they did the same thing. I went to customer service at Fort Launderdale airport to complain about it nobody cared. imagine you delayed your customer for two times and you don't want hear her/his concern?"
Cons: "Flight Crews are nice. I can't complain about it."
Cons: "Please do not use FlightNetwork as a third party booking service anymore. When I first booked my ticket through them, after finding the deal on kayak, they sent an email saying that the flight booking was pending. I had to call them to confirm they had actually booked the flight. Then they mispelled my email so I didn't receive a confirmation email from spirit until I called the airline directly. And then I found out that not only had FlightNetwork collected $20 for their poor services they had charged me for my flight in addition to spirit charging me for my flight. I was doubly charged for the same flight and was only alerted to it because I was skeptical of FlightNetwork's business practices and decided to double check my bank account. I am now in the process of getting a refund from FlightNetwork. I urge you to discontinue business with them as this experience seems to be characteristic of their company. My partner's flight was booked incorrectly and FlightNetwork's track record on Yelp is incorrigible."
Pros: "A direct flight."
Cons: "My return flight from Dallas to Myrtle was canceled after check in. There was poor communication as to what to do next, ultimately we were rebooked on American. If it happens to you don't be the guy yelling and screaming, we quietly asked what to do and we're rebooked amidst the chaos within 20 min or so, while the aggressors were still waiting several hours afterwards."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "I checked into my flight at 7pm the night before my 7am flight. I drove 2 hours to the airport, parked my car, took a shuttle to the terminal and arrived at the kiosk at 6:20. I attempted to print my boarding pass because it was no longer appearing on my phone; however, the kiosk printed me out a ticket saying it was unable to print my boarding pass. When I approached a spirit employee, they told me I could no longer go to the terminal because my reservation had been canceled at 6:15 due to tardiness. In turn, the next best thing they said they could do for me was for $99 get me on the flight the next day. So due to me being 40 minutes early for my flight instead of 45 minutes I lost my reservation, had to pay $99, lost a day of vacation, and the money for my hotel tonight. Worst airline experience I've ever had."
Cons: "Never EVER have I flown with an airline that charges you for carry-on luggage. If I would have known this and all the other extra hidden fees, including (extra chargers for checking passengers in..etc) I most definitely would have picked a different airline. To make matters even worse, they never once told me while checking in at their airline counter that they charge for carry on luggage. So.. when I arrived to my boarding gate, they announced that all carry on luggage was an additional fee of $100.00, unless already checked in at the counter for their base rate of $60.00 FOR A CARRY ON.... In order to board my flight, I had to pay $100.00 for one tiny little suitcase. I was beyond aggravated. It felt like this airlines entire intentions were to scam every passenger that boarded. At one point on the flights, as the flight attendants were going through the emergency procedures, a passengers behind me said "You will only give us our oxygen masks, for an additional charge" I will NEVER fly with Spirit Airline again. Every employee that I came across during my travels were incredibly rude, and very unhelpful. Spirit does have cheaper flights, but after all the up-charges you end up paying way more than you will if you just book with another airline."
Cons: "My jofirst experience with Spirit will be my last. I was flying out to be the best man at my friends wedding on a Thursday evening when due to a mechanical issue we had to get off of the plane. My flight was from PHX to Dallas then continuing on to Fort Lauderdale. Since we had a two hour delay at PHX, they scheduled another plane to leave Dallas on time to Fort Lauderdale. They informed us that since they do not have any partner airlines they could not get us reassigned. We would either have to take a refund or we could go to Dallas and then wait until 5pm on Saturday to make it to Fort Lauderdale. I also had a seat upgrade, and they told me If I wanted to go to Dallas and wait, they would not have an upgraded seat available for me and they would not be able to refund me the upgraded price even though they would not be able to provide me the service. So I got a refund and went home. Needless to say I will pay extra next time to fly a reliable carrier. Thank you Spirit Airlines for making me miss my best friends wedding."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at the LA airport and was notified that my flight was delayed and therefore I would not make the connecting flight. I asked for Spirit Airline to help come up with a solution. The agents at LAX kept me at the counter for over an hour making me miss my original flight to Dallas. All the Spirit agents kept saying is that corporate doesn't allow them to help. Only option was a refund or flight out of LAX 12hrs after my original flight and take a red eye. I was at the airport with (2) children under the age of 10. The people for Spirit had poor attitudes and lacked any effort to help come up a solution. I ended up having to book a same day flight from Delta Airlines. Delta flew out at 1pm. The (2) kids and myself were at the airport at 9am to catch the 10am flight from Spirit. Long day for us."
Pros: "Safe transportation at a great price."
Cons: "The Spirit web site was not functioning properly when I tried to check-in for my flight and get boarding passes. I tried repeatedly to do this in the 24 hours prior to departure without success (and wasting a lot of time). Then later, while waiting in the long line at the airport to check my bags, the employees at the counter announced that their computers just went down. For 30 minutes increasingly agitated customers waited for the computers to function again so they could check their bags. This computer failure resulted in a late departure. For my return trip, again, IT competency at Spirit. Again their *&(^!&@! web site wouldn't work get me to the page to print my boarding pass."
Pros: "Spirit claims to be the cheapest airline, but charges over $50 for carry on items. The day of my flight, the lines to check in were out the door at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. The kiosks were all down & the employees were shouting at everyone to direct them. If a simple question was asked, the Spirit employees would snap & move on to the next person, without really helping. I was late to my flight because of wrong information that was given to me and I almost did not make it in time. Just like any other airline these days, no food is given for free. The seats are the bare minimum."
Pros: "That I arrived to my destination in time and as scheduled."
Cons: "There was no indication anywhere in the reservation process of the costs of bag checks and the "privilege" of a carry on. I was also never sent an email prompting me to check in online and check bags there. (I'm told it's rather cheap if you do it that way) Instead, I was greeted with a 49 dollar fee for my carry on, and 53 dollar fee for my checked bag. That was bumped up another 30 dollars when I discovered bags above 45 lbs are charged extra on spirit. I ended spending more than twice the value of my ticket just for bags, for markups I was never told of and could not of reasonably anticipated as a consumer. This, combined with less than professional conduct from spirit flight attendants, fellow passengers, and the ridiculously uncomfortable conditions on the plane, means I will never be flying with spirit again, and will trust kayak much less. As a comprehensive trip planning service, kayak should be able to generate plane travel costs, and have options to include associated costs such as baggage, with the price of the ticket in flight price tracking. This is a necessary feature for any company that provides a service like Kayak."
Cons: "Spirit Airlines is laughably inconvenient, and derisively unconventional. Stewards are made to be salespeople, and the simplest amenities (such as a seat-back tray or glass of water) are pointedly unavailable. I spent a hellish 10 hours flying Spirit Airlines; having done so, I would never recommend a friend (nor, even, an enemy) go through the same discomfort, ridicule, and expense. The captain was flippant regarding the discomfort of the flight. Stewardesses spoke loudly to one another in the back of the plane, non-stop, for two hours. Seats are ridiculously close to one another, do not recline, and offer trays without proper space to be useful. Spirit makes a point of reminding its customers, every step of the way, how limited their flight experience will be. When I purchased flight tickets through Kayak, I did not realize that Spirit would strip me, the paying customer, of every possible amenity, all for the farce of a"bargain" flight. Nowhere was I informed of needing to pay 55$ per carry-on bag at the airport, nor of the further embarrassment of having to pay $15 to simply occupy a seat on the plane. Have I not purchased a ticket? Have I not given my money? Why should I be denied the right to sit on the actual plane? At least three other customers in line in front of me were dissatisfied with their check-in experience. None were comforted by Spirit staff, whose job, clearly, is merely to demand money and offer further ways in which an already paying customer can be divested of the contents of their wallet. I pity all who ride Spirit, work for Spirit, or consider becoming business partners with this company. Clearly, being "the youngest fleet of any major U.S. airline," has its drawbacks."
Cons: "Liked every bit of it"
Pros: "Flight into LAX was experienced and the pilot landed well."
Cons: "You get excited cause the ticket is cheap, then you have to pay for everything. The motto this trip was, "do I have to pay extra for that?" If you are going with a backpack and that's it, this might be the ticket for you. But if you were like me, and needed to take more than a toothbrush for three days, you have you pay for luggage, then pay for water, and boarding passes, and CARRY ON BAGS. The list goes on and on. Spirit doesn't care about you, just your money. I will shell out the extra bucks to get at least a water and a seat that reclines. I will be warning everyone I know about how terrible Spirit was, and I personally will never fly this airline again."
Cons: "Online check-in did not work, app check-in did not work, kiosk check-in did not work. Despite efforts to save money, I was forced to pay over $110 in additional fees. Service counter attendants were not friendly. I asked if I could fly standby on an earlier flight since I had gotten to the airport 4 hours early. I was told "This is not Southwest, you can't get on an earlier plane without paying $120 for it". Flight was changed to a new gate but wasn't updated on the monitor. I had to check flight aware to see what gate we were at. Flight attendants were rude and boasted about being the youngest flight crew in the sky, which is nothing to boast about. There are many veterans of the sky that exhibit amazing customer service and flight expertise. This Moto degrades those who have spent 20 + years in the sky making sure we are safe and comfortable. I would rather have a former fighter pilot with combat experience flying my plane. So spirit airlines, do I think you being young is an advantage over the other airlines, No. I care about customer service and safety. And I have yet to feel that from your airline. From the check-in counter to the flight attendants, the staff treats customers without respect and then charges you for it. I'm done."
Pros: "I booked a flight to Colorado for a wedding. I'm poor, so every little bit helps. The cabin crews both times were cheerful and friendly."
Cons: "I bought two checked bags (one for there, one for back). I didn't want to spend the money, but I was in the bridal party (thankfully able to use one of my old dresses), so I had to have the extra space. But at the airport I discovered that the bag I was bringing was instead able to be brought onboard as a free "personal item." The people at the counter assured me that I would get a refund. Well, no refund. I get a "credit" for free checked bags, which I have to use within the next two months or it expires! How can I possibly afford another ticket, do they think their low prices attract jet-setters? This is actually not a good thing for me, I really am poor (like, I had to give up lunch for a month in order to afford a checked bag, poor), and I am very unhappy about this. I will not fly Spirit again. I hope they enjoy my $60."
Pros: "I disliked the entire experience."
Cons: "I had a flight booked a month in advance and I drove 10 hours to drop off my children with their grandparents so my man & I could take a vacation to Los Angelas. When I got to the airport they informed me that "I" had made changes to my reservation so it was cancelled and they gave me a credit for $300 even though I paid $450 for our flights. When I asked why I couldn't get a refund instead of a credit the lady told me that it was apparently because I booked through a third party, which is not true. I'm a member of spirit and I booked straight through their website. She told me there's no one I can talk to and that she can not help me and gave me a number to call. So I'm stuck at the airport with no help. (Now keep in mind I've already paid for a hotel and a car in LA that I will not get a refund for) finally we decided we'd have to take a flight to the next destination or we could not go on vacation. So we ended up having to go to Vegas and pay for the difference on top of a hotel. This is a joke!"
Pros: "The crew was funny and even made jabs at the airline."
Cons: "This is my 4th bad experience with Spirit (I'm a glutton for punishment). I've yet to have a flight that was on time...something is usually broken on the plane (very nice to hear before boarding...if you board at all). It may seem like a great idea to lock in a great rate for the initial flight, but after fee upon fee...it just turns into an uncomfortable flight next to Bob who is complaining the whole time about his FIRST experience. I keep thinking I'll give them another try, but unfortunately this was my last attempt. Catch ya on the other side, Spirit."
Cons: "The flight was delayed nearly 5 hours due to mechanical problems. As an early morning flight, the mechanical issues were known in advance--the plane did not arrive as scheduled the night before--yet passengers were not notified until check in at the airport. We could have made other arrangements (or slept until a normal hour) if we had been promptly notified. The gate agents were not understanding, and no accommodation--such as complimentary soft drinks--was made for our inconvenience. I felt like Spirit wasted my day."
Pros: "One-way flight to destination"
Cons: "RUDE RUDE RUDE workers "helping" customers as the nightmare of checking in and receiving boarding pass. Then was told I didn't have a seat for the flight until someone didn't show up, EVEN THOUGH I had purchased a seat the night before. Almost didn't get on the flight because of that. Then if your bag is over 40lbs you pay an additional $30 to check it in. I ALWAYS fly Southwest and tried this airlines for the first and LAST TIME. All workers are rude and obviously don't want to be there either. Spirit airlines I AM DONE WITH YOU."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Flew bwi to download and as we were landing the flight attendant announced flight connections and then she said "all of you going to New Orleans can't tell you want happened to your flight over the intercom". Then they said nothing else. About 20 of us went to the gate e18 for the flight and the gate sign said On Time and the plane was there however it was 1pm and boarding was supposed to start and no gate agents and no crew ever showed up. A nearby gate said they cancelled the flight. No emails or text from Spirit. So I had to rebook on American to New Orleans and run across tour terminal C for a 149pm flight. Will be asking for a refund and will never book Spirit again and may decide to use kayak less for flights and just use standard United or delta direct websites. Joe"
Cons: "After being told we were circling our destination due to weather, we were deferred to another airport. This was fine until we were told we'd get sent out on the next plane... Which was also told to the other plane that got deferred (spirit) . Two planes all pushing to get on one. We were then forced to leave the gate with the promise of buses awaiting us. After 4 hours waiting for buses (midnight) I had to spend my own money to rent a car and drive 4.5 hours to my original destination. No offer to be put up in a hotel was offered, nor was an offer to catch another flight. Instead we were told to pay and extra $100 to be placed on standby for the following nights flight to our final destination."
Pros: "There wasn't anything I really liked about my trip on Spirit."
Cons: "From the curbside to the gate you are on your own. No skycaps to take your bags at the curb even though you've already paid for bags. And even though you've already paid for bags you still have to stand in a long line at the counter to check in. This is my 3rd time flying with Spirit since 2011. I thought the first 2 trips having issues was a fluke but no, it seems fairly consistent that you will not leave on time, the staff will not be friendly and nothing is complimentary...even water! The seats are extremely small and there is no way to recline them. Some of their planes have advertisement pasted through the entire length of the cabin, the crew really pushed applying for their credit card, all snacks must be paid for I mean, the message is clear, profits first, customers are to be used to meet their goals. At the end of the day, customers are lured in by seemingly lower prices but it's all smoke and mirrors. When you're done with all of the a la cart items, the price is the same as all of the other airlines, with inferior service, in my opinion. I will not be flying with Spirit Airlines again. I will spend my money with airlines that value me as a customer first."
Cons: "It was terrible. They didn't even announce the flight departure properly, so we (and several more people) missed the boarding. They rescheduled us to another flight but it disrupted our plans and caused a lot of inconvenience. Also, they charge for literally everything, I've never seen $42 fee for checked baggage, or even $55 or $100 if one doesn't make it to buy it online. Weight of 40 lbs. is woefully insufficient as travelers from Europe will have to remove over 10 pounds from their baggage as normal airlines allow 23 kg."
Cons: "Spirit airlines is VERY misleading. Yes it was the cheapest flight as stated but then there were the hidden costs. baggage for one luggage or carry on? Ridiculous when other airlines don't charge for the first one. A little overweight? A huge hefty fine. Pay for your seat?! There were no free seats at all!!! No complimentary snack or drink??? Charge for water!!! Ridiculous! The seats were like being packed in a sardine can and no recline which I had a terrible headache when the we finally landed! By the time I had to pay for the "extras" I could have flown first class on another airline! Never again will I will flight with Spirit and will highly recommend anyone else not to also!!!"
Cons: "We were unable to board out flight. We arrived at the airport 50 minutes before our flight. We tried but were unable to print our boarding passes at home. When we got there we waited behind 2 couples before getting up to the attendant. When we got to the front they told us we were too late and could not take our flight. We were 44 minutes before our flight and they close their system at 45 minutes. We called customer service and they told us the supervisor could open the flight and let us on if we showed her that we tried to print our boarding passes and could not. We had a picture and showed her but she did not care. She was not letting us on our flight for anything. I don't know if she was on a power trip or what but I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service and unwillingness to help a customer in my life. They then told us they could book us on the next flight out, which was the next day. We went to American and flew American. They were super helpful and got us on a flight out 2 hours later. Thankfully for American we only missed the first night of our conference and not a full day, like Spirit would have had us miss. I will never fly spirit again after that experience."
Pros: "In flight experience was good."
Cons: "Didn't like that I have to print my boarding pass and that an eboarding pass doesnt work on the scanners. That was not communicated well to me. The gate changed 30 mins prior to the take off time of my flight and not a single passenger was informed of this. There were no announcements made. They did not even care to change the flight information display at the gate behind the counter. While passengers were waiting to board, a jet blue crew member starts to announce boarding for their flight to JFK while its displaying spirit airlines flight to dallas. The jet blue crew has no information to provide to us. A spirit airline crew memeber SHOULDVE MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT reg the gate change at the original gate or they should remove the spirit airline flight display from the screen. And all this 20 mins prior to take off. And I was told to stand in line that was a mile long to have this simple question answered 'whats the current gate'. The crew could've been a bit more informative, less rude and more approachable."
Pros: "There is nothing which I can like about spirit airline"
Cons: "Spirit hidden charges and they will tell you to pay for even small hand bags at double price."
Pros: "We landed safely. Drink serveice without a cart was interesting and must be easier for the company."
Cons: "We didn't care for buying tickets and then getting charges for everything including choosing a seat. The web site was horrible and not mobile friendly. Customer service over the phone read from a script and couldn't really take care of anything for you. Also, Spirit expects you to have access to a computer and printer on your vacation. It "saves you money" to do it online. Yes, most hotels have access to those...assuming you're staying in one. Why can't I just check in on my phone and handle everything else at the airport like I just did on Alaska for my return flight? Why do your flight attendants tell us twice to keep our seats upright when they don't even recline? And, they spent most of flight playing games on their phones/tablets. Cup o noodle!? Really!? Flight industry is tough, I know, and you guys are the bare minimum. Head in expecting a nightmare flight and its not so bad."
Pros: "Plane was clean and the crew was friendly and professional. Spirit refunded part of my ticket when my connecting flight was cancelled."
Cons: "After flying Spirit Airlines for the first time, I came to realize a cheap flight doesn't save you money in the long run. Flight delays, cancellations, and added costs meant I didn't save any money flying with Spirit. I booked a flight from Cleveland to Denver with a lay over in Dallas. My lay over in Dallas was canceled due to weather. I understand that the airline doesn't have any control over the weather but they can control how they treat their customers. The best Spirit could do was offer me a flight to my final destination 21/2 days later. Meaning I would be stuck in Dallas for 2 days and I would have to pay for a hotel out of pocket. I ended up paying for a hotel overnight ($171) and booking a flight first thing in the morning with Frontier airlines ($89). Coming back, once again there was problems in Dallas during my lay over. The flight was delayed 3 hours."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The flight was delayed then cancelled. We were given the choice of refund that will arrive a week later or to take a flight a 9 pm tomorrow. The reason for the cancellation was said to me a crew "time-out" that was caused by the rain. There was no other compensation for the cancellation nor did they get ahold of everyone to let them know it was cancelled. After dealing with the gate I found the customer service desk and waited for 2 hours just to talk to someone and was told nothing they could do."
Pros: "I liked that the plane was structurally sound and well built and that the pilots knew what they were doing - it went up, flew and landed! SUCCESS!!"
Cons: "I remember when SOUTHWEST came onto the scene, people said "It's a cattle call airlines". Well, there's a new leader in budget flying - seats don't recline, if you are over 6'2" your femur will barely fit in the seat space between rows, $3 for anything to drink, and because it is cheap (least expensive) it has all the personalities/characters 'least expensive' will attract. . . and heck, I was one of them! People are great, but when we are crammed into spaces, our egos and inner-judges get all ramped up, and there were plenty of these moments. Nice, friendly airline crew, from front counter to attendants, which also comes with the lack of experience and polish of veteran airline employees. In the future I will ony fly Spirit when I am country hopping and need the least expensive series of flights to get from point A to point B to Point C, and SPIRIT was a leg in that journey. Fly safe and kind everyone! CT"
Cons: "My flight was cancelled while I was on the shuttle on the way to the airport so that was not very convenient for me."
Pros: "Once I actually took a Spirit Flight my experience was fine."
Cons: "I missed my initial flight due to traffic & was only 10 minutes past boarding time. The Reps at the counter were helpful and called multiple times to the gate to see if they would let me board, but they would not. The counter did fail to inform me by not making the going flight that my return flight is automatically cancelled. Missing that information, I then booked a one way flight thru another airline b/c Spirit did not have an available flight for that day. I continued to get normal check in emails for my return flight only to find out once I got to the airport to get my boarding pass that return flight had been cancelled. I was told by the counter rep that I needed to check the online agreement. At least a courtesy email would have be nice. So I ended up having to book another one way flight to return, this time trough Spirit, but it was 4 hours later. I also did not get credit on my original flight paying for checked baggage for the return trip even though I paid $40 going and $40 returning. Needless to say, I completely wasted money booking my original flights since I had to book two other flights to go and return."
Cons: "I Left my house about 3 hours early before my flight for seatac airport to beat the long lines with the tsa inspections. When I finally got there I spent about a half hour looking for the check in desk, only to find out that it was one of those rollaway check in counters. To make matters worse I had to pay 55 dollars for my carry on. What kind of bs is that. I thought I would at leased get that for free. Just expecting the standard I guess. Serves me right for not doing my research before flying. With Spirit air you pay for everything including for that not so complementary water that you might need after chocking on their corny jokes. You might wanna take some neck/back pain meds with you also. Those seats are uncomfortable and don't lounge back. On the way back I was getting emails of constant gate changes and the flight was delayed for an hour. Better keep checking your email. I guess I can suck it up if I was taking a short flight somewhere and I didn't need any luggage. Other than that I'm flying on a different airlines in the future. Good luck."
