Air Premia is a great option. Paying for premium is worth the extra money. Additionally try to check in online if possible.
Verified travelerFlew with Animawings-Apr 2026
Wear compression socks, walk around every 1-2.5hrs to allow blood flow.
Verified travelerFlew with AIR PREMIA-Jan 2026
Get a mobile boarding pass ahead of time. Also, register for the Smartpass (requires an app) for a shorter line at the security.
Verified travelerFlew with Hawaiian Airlines-Mar 2025
The connection to the next flight can be difficult. We got lost in the Incheon Airport trying to transfer to Terminal 1, and almost missed our flight since it was very difficult to find instructions on how to get there. I suggest finding instructions how to transfer to the connecting flight in Incheon Airport.
Verified travelerFlew with Asiana Airlines-Mar 2025
Be careful to allow enough time when going thru Customs & Immigration. Despite having Global entry privileges, we missed our connecting domestic flight because luggages arrived late before we got thru Customs. Then, we have to contend with long security lines in SEA.
Verified travelerFlew with Korean Air-Dec 2024
Fly Korean Air if you can. ICN is a great airport and you won't have any issues getting through in a reasonable time, but be aware that the gates for US-bound flights are fairly far away.

Wear comfortable clothes. Bring whatever you need to be comfortable
Verified travelerFlew with Korean Air-Nov 2024
Incheon has always impressed me by its cleanliness so I invariably choose Korean Air over and above others. I appreciate the 2 free checked-in luggage policy. I find the weight limit for carry-ons plus personal item a bit restrictive. I bring a laptop with an AC adapter and that alone brings my carry-on weight close to the limit. Next time, I shall try not to bring other battery chargers (the ones that are not allowed to be checked in).
Verified travelerFlew with Korean Air-Oct 2024
If you are traveling with Korea Air and you think you want to have better seats, book it from the beginning. The run out of availability quickly
Verified travelerFlew with Hawaiian Airlines-Sep 2024
Avoid transit from one terminal to another. Takes 90 minutes to connect. Don’t waste money on Hawaiian Business Class. Not worth it.
ArthurFlew with Delta-Jul 2024
Get aisle seat and stretch legs every 2 hours minimum. Bring your own favorite snack .
HOJINFlew with AIR PREMIA-Aug 2024
Arrive during business hours so that the airport have enough staff to handle the arrival.
PlainFlew with Hawaiian Airlines-May 2024
Notify Airline of any precondition or current heath issues8, even if passage is alegic. Korean Air has an efficient boarding process. Less confusion. During my most recent flight a stewardess threw a beef tray mealin front me without a word.

The business class is excellent. I loved the food, and the crew was very attentive and professional. From boarding to arrival, everything felt smooth and well-organised.

Great service and comfort level. You can have more of vegetarian food options.

It’s great, long flight and arrive safe at destination

Everything was excellent as I expected. They also had a very caring crew. I had a headache and asked a Tylenol. The crew members kept checking with me how I was doing.

I can't believe they put my wife and I in the two middle seats! It is a very long flight and we had single flyers on either side of us blocking the way to the bathroom! There's no reason to not give one of us the isle seat so we could have managed bathroom needs and snacks with convenience. So I think very poorly of Korean air to put us both in the middle, I've never had that happen before and will probably avoid this airline in the future because of this. We tried to have them change it but they didn't so you pretty much lost a customer because of it.

One of the flight attendants stepped on my foot. I was on the aisle seat. A lady inside needed to get out. So Instood. Just then, a flight attentendant came wuicklybtheoughbthe aisle and stepprd on my sock covered toes. I let out a small sound. She stopped momentarily, but didn’t ask how I was just took off of the aisle. Never came back to see how I was. Fortunately, I was not really hurt other than a slight soreness in my toes. But I found that to be very negligent.

Korean Air is unlike any other major airline I have flown with. The grace and respect that the staff has from check in to de-boarding is unmatched. The flight attendants this time were especially wonderful to my five little children. They helped us rearrange to more suitable seating, brought our children’s meals, and patiently waited for them in the aisles when they had to use the bathroom. We felt so welcome and comfortable. I really appreciate the meal voucher when our flight was delayed. I am grateful to have had such an stress-free experience.

It's good overall. Flight was packed. Inflight entertainment choices were lacking.

They were very accommodating of a dietary issue. Nice movie & tv selections. Non-stop helped get through a very long (15 hr) flight

The boarding process for Korean airlines is very straightforward and easy. You've never met such helpful and friendly people. The food was great and the entertainment options were excellent too. My teenage boys found programs they wanted to watch while I had fun watching a full season of the Last Man - the Blind Investigator (Japanese), which my wife enjoyed too. My only complaint was that it takes a very long time to taxi at ICN (20 minutes) and the pilot had to hold at the gate for 10 minutes after our scheduled departure time, which meant we got to Seattle 27 minutes late. Luckily I had a long enough connection to make my next flight, but just barely.

Courteous crew and effective service on-board. Good leg room. Areas for improvement: 1. Limited menu meal menu options. During checking there was no means provided to select meal option. On our return flight the first meal had Pork and Beef options only. Fortunately the second meal had Chicken as an option. Otherwise we would have gone without meal through 13+ hrs of journey, 2. Limited choice and very limited number of movies and TV shows.

I booked this airline twice. The first time, they cancelled the flight due to destination weather condition but without offering any optional flight but only a cancelation notice sent via SMS. I had no choice but to re-book United airline with the same travel date and destination. (no impact on the weather condition Air Premia claimed) The second time, my husband missed the flight due to local traffic in Seoul. Normally, all major airline would helped you to re-book the same flight next day with changing fee only. But Air Premia offered nothing and only requested my husband to re-book a full price ticket.

Don't splurge for the Premium Wide Economy. They compare it to business class. This is not business class, and the seats are very uncomfortable.

For the second meal, the different food choices ran out both times so we were only offered one.

The crews were friendly, professional and courteous. Checking in was easy and smooth. The best part is, as we all know, the price.

Food quality is poor. Flight attendants are very friendly and professional.

I flew on Zip Air on the way to Asia so I can compare. The two airlines are night and day. Air Premia was so amazing compared to Zip Air. I have flown Korean Air in the past and I honestly don’t know the difference between Air Premia and the “non-budget” airlines. My Air Premia flight provided me two bags whereas I had to pay for Zip Air. On my under 11 hour flight, we were provided two full meals! The flight attendants were so kind and polite.

For the price, the overall experience was what I expected. The prices were fair and competitive, the staff friendly and more responsive than other airlines, and seating spacious. The downside was food portion size, but I'll gladly pay a few dollars more for the hot noodles or other supplemental snacks, given the more affordable ticket prices. I don't mind the absence of Hollywood movie programming if that leads to inflated ticket prices. Wi-Fi worked well. In addition to spacious seating for the Wide Premiium, I'd suggest foot rests to complement the calf rests. There're problems with booking Air Premia tickets at the home website. The underlying app engine won't process non-Korean credit cards, which is a major oversight, probably hurting the company's bottom line. I can go to Kayak or a third-party website to book Air Premia tickets, but it's an awkward work-around when other airlines don't have to resort to this tactic.

As it's a budget airline it's pretty basic. But the quality of crew and plane is excellent.

Maybe the reimbursement voucher should have been larger than a 10k won. That voucher is only for refreshments. The flight was delayed or pushed to more than 5 hours. It should be more than just 10k won and it was already past midnight. Some people or passengers like who was already there 5 hours prior to the original flight departure. 4pm** That was the only unfortunate thing about it . Other than that it was good .

Food could be better it was okay. Entertainment seems dated it was something but in this day and age could be a lot better.

The aircraft was massive (A-380) and became crowded with 400+ passengers on board.

Coming back to America was a peaceful flight everyone and everything was perfect

Staff always with a smile and very helpful with my mom who has mobility issues.

The seats felt very small. We were supplied with pillows and blankets, which was nice. Lots of noise from the bathroom, plus exterior noise. Made it hard to hear the entertainment system, even using my own noise-cancelling headphones. The food was really bad. I generally request a vegetarian meal and one was supplied, but the pasta was cold and hard and there was nothing pleasant about it. Two meals were served on this flight; one was a repeat of the meal I had had on the flight immediately preceding this one, which was bad enough I didn't even try it. Drinks were very limited. All I wanted was water, and on a 10.5 hour flight, I was given 3 cups of about 3 ounces each.

We took business class, It was comfortable and I was able to sleep.

Great service. They could offer vegetarian food and do more to reduce waste.

Very comfortable seats, delicious meals, and friendly and helpful staff

The legroom in economy was better than other airlines. Since my legs are long, that means a lot. Also, the A380 from Los Angeles to Incheon gave passengers a smooth ride. Everything went smoothly from boarding to disembarkation in Incheon. I'd fly Asiana again!

Staff was excellent. Food could use more variety. -More vegetable options. Menu didn't have juice or soda listed. -The croissants were outstanding!

Delta off boarded and boarded the aircraft quickly. Clean cabin and great gate and onboard service.

Flight was delayed and we were on the runway after landing for 30 mins

We were delayed so pilots can rest and had no WiFi the whole trip. First class seats are small compared to other planes

The experience was bad. Flight was delayed to handle maintenance (understandable) but still there was some dew forming and dropping as droplets on few seats. Internet at best was allowing some browsing but at a snail pace.

We were delayed 2 hours because of a broken seat. Other than that it was a very nice flight.

There needs to be better accommodations for waiting passengers. A a designated standing space that is separated and away from concourse traffic.

My seats are comfortable because I choose to fly in the exit rows and this time upgraded to first class with minimum sky miles. Otherwise, I would not be happy in regular seats or even middle comfort seats. Onboarding on the return flight from Nashville to Atlanta was hot and very uncomfortable for over 30 minutes due to extreme hot weather. However, Delta should provide some other air flow option as it was almost unbearable until 10 minutes after take-off. First class seats should be equipped with cup holders. Currently, the middle console is used and is flat and prone to spilling drinks.

One of the best airlines that I flew on, the flight attendants were very attentive and professional.

Check in process was terrible. Lady at counter didn’t know what she was doing

They boarded very early. We rushed to transfer and got to the gate 5 minutes after boarding was scheduled to start, however they were making a last call and holding signs for “all customers” to board. They were helpful at the gate, but I was surprised to see that we were some of the last to board at 5 minutes after scheduled boarding was to begin.

The app logs you out right when you are boarding requiring all passwords and reservation number for the flight. Super annoying

The pre-order only approach for fresh food is really challenging

Very kind Lufthansa agent somehow gave us all no charge extra business class seats and helped us get home rested and happy.

The lounge was not accessible because it was located before the passport control, and backtracking was impossible.

Flight was great. Almost miss my connecting flight due to late departure from Haneda. Had to run all through airport in Chicago to make the flight. Experience was great for 1st time flyers using ANA Airlines.

the seat has a problem. the back had a hole.

The back to back mechanical delays from Denver to San Diego and then on my return flight from Denver to Great Falls it added extra time both ways

My experience was medium staff where great I dislike flying in triple 7 seats very uncomfortable and no room on jet all the rest of the flights where great

The crews are great.. Easy boarding. Inflight entertainment ok. Food is a disappointment.

There was no door or screen for privacy in Business class. With the price and class, the privacy is something the passengers expect. Understandably not all plane has the option but consider reconfiguration of the cabin. I would rather take other airlines in the future. The meal and snack options are different than what was in the website and printed information sheet. I also missed snacks but never offered again. It was not worth the price I paid.
