The flight was delayed at least one hour. The bathroom inside the aircraft was really dirty. On the other hand the cabin crew was really nice.
Swift clean friendly on time
Travelling from Nigeria was a nightmare. Those thugs at the airport gave my husband and i hell because we had our boarding passes on our phone. We had to keep bribing and begging them to let us through. It is the worse travel experience I’ve ever ever had in my entire life. And I travel a lot
Cons: "The airline lost my suitcase and deliver it only 72 hours later... They refused to give me proper compensation for items that were broken..."
Pros: "Overall a nice and good flight"
Cons: "Just a detail, my “head holder” (not too sure how it is called) would not hold in position. Also, staff was a bit slow to come after being called, I had to go and ask for water by myself at some point since no one was coming after 15minites of waiting..."
Pros: "The plane ✈️ itself the attendants . The entertainment on board. Really great"
Cons: "Nothing dissatisfying about the flight nor the airline staff . Very polite, very professional. It was a Great flight. For long trips this airline is one of the best."
Cons: "Boarding at Florence is always chaotic but this isn't within the control of KLM or their crew."
Cons: "Keep the temperature at a more reasonable level. Blankets + two layers of clothing was definitely not enough."
Pros: "Flight was on time."
Cons: "Staff: from check in to landing, they could at least smile. Baggage claim was a nightmare, 6 Schengen flights in the same belt."
Pros: "The crew."
Cons: "The time between flights."
Pros: "Seats were super comfortable, bigger than most planes with extra leg room. Food was excellent and fresh, amazing Dutch cheese sampler was divine. No nonsense staff who had all connecting flight info on hand when we arrived in Abu Dhabi. KLM staff were friendly and efficient. Fabulous airline."
Pros: "General flight journey"
Cons: "Delays, took my hand luggage into the hold,"
Cons: "Flight on time would have been good when you have a late evening arrival. Long wait for luggage at Birmingham airport."
Cons: "The overall travel was good, no wifi and the entertainment system had a faulty headphone connection, and no place to charge devices other than through a USB port"
Pros: "MCR airport Mert & Greet parking was smooth and efficient."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours due to bad weather. Additional baggage payment to Air Baltic did not show up on the KLM system and we had to pay again. Nowhere to address this with Air Baltic even in Tallin. Handlers seem uninterested and refer us to ‘the website to address the issue.....’"
Cons: "Very slow service at checkin, was not even available when I arrived at the airport"
Cons: "You are almost always late!"
Pros: "Need better quality tvs for such a long flight and better movies There were only 4 Bollywood movies and not the latest ones either"
Pros: "Everything is top notch for an airline company."
Cons: "Nothing.... I enjoyed every moment of the flight."
Pros: "Nice crew; clean plane; decent dinner"
Cons: "No entertainment system; insufficient knee space"
Pros: "Nothing really"
Cons: "Flew KLM 27 years ago and the airlines seem to be stuck in the same era. Food is poor quality... Have you recently checked the Gulf carriers."
Pros: "Fabulous trip with friendly, helpful staff"
Pros: "Service, technology"
Cons: "Could not print by boarding card and was not allowed to board in Amsterdam"
Pros: "Bording was good and general flight ok"
Cons: "This airplane must be the oldest in the fleet. No USB, no charging, no touchscreen technology, no plugs, no bluetooth."
Pros: "Just great crew."
Cons: "Not comfortable at all and will not book KLM again."
Pros: "The food was excelent"
Cons: "I have to pay to pay a little more confort"
Pros: "In flight food was enjoyable"
Pros: "Service impeccable!"
Cons: "They have one line of executive class after the kitchen and toilet, is very noisy."
Pros: "The last two times we connected in Amsterdam to Humberside our luggage was delayed. This time it wasn’t. The simple things give the greatest satisfaction"
Pros: "Crew was courteous and polite! Entertainment system had some great movies at no additional cost."
Cons: "Poor communication between delta, KLM and Air France meant that I couldn’t check in online and get a digital boarding pass. Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"
Pros: "Ground staff at Manchester very helpful"
Cons: "Information on KLM website and flight status said 50 minutes delay and was never updated with the true status. 3 hours before we took off. KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."
Pros: "Thankful for coffee being served without charge. Not all airlines do that."
Pros: "Professional, welcoming and very friendly crew, well-maintained aircraft, comfortable seat and good food. Keep up the good work, KLM."
Cons: "Not much to comment on here."
Pros: "Eveything is well arranged"
Pros: "The crew were just amazing, such lovely male stewards! They were helpful and friendly and generally wonderful."
Cons: "The entertainment was quite dated and didn't have new movies etc"
Cons: "The bags where damaged from the staff"
Cons: "There weren't too many options. The movie selection was very limited and the tv show were over 20 years old in some cases"
Pros: "It was a short flight so it was O.K."
Cons: "Boarding was odd. Go to airport early and counters were not open, did on line check in so was able to avoid the self check in at airport. Also self check in luggage seems confusing with no ground crew to help. It didn't affect me but lots of confused passenger."
Pros: "The crew was very nice and helpful."
Cons: "The space is no longer a respectful space. Paid 32 Euros for my seat, there was not enough space, the man beside me kept jabbing me on the ribs."
We had a significant illness at the last minute. Air Canada was unsympathetic and rude and refused to give us any credit on our unused ticket.
No issues with this short flight.
Cons: "It was a 767 what was a good surprise at first but very old. Food was not worth eating, crew was fine. The seats like the airplane, old."
Cons: "More leg room More gluten free food options"
Pros: "Nothing good to say for this flights overall."
Cons: "Spent over two hours on the plane/tarmac waiting for take off. Air Canada sucks."
Pros: "There was more legroom than I expected."
Cons: "Departure was delayed by hours due to the Air Canada computer systems going down. That made it an even later redeye, but the cabin crew insisted on waking everyone up to serve dinner at 2am. Boarding in Toronto was a mess, and the details about what was wrong were very sketchy."
Cons: "Way to small seating area"
Pros: "Crew as always with air Canada were very accommodating. Always smiling!"
Cons: "Compared to other airlines Air Canada is just so bad. Crew are always slow. The flight never boards on time or leaves on time. I don’t think I’ve ever been on an Air Canada flight that leaves on time. It’s incredibly frustrating. The staff were rude and cold on this flight and very very slow. I usually don’t write reviews like this but honestly can’t find anything good to say about this last flight. It was just bad."
Pros: "The only problem was that I could not check in till morning 4 hours before my flight. Everything else was great"
Pros: "Service was friendly"
Cons: "Such a small plane"
Cons: "Will never book a trip with you"
Pros: "The steward on the plane was friendly, funny and accommodating to all. He took time to engage some young children before takeoff. Took into consideration who was travelling together and left a positive impression! Plane boarded early and was loaded and ready to roll AHEAD of scheduled take off time."
Cons: "Steward. & meals"
Cons: "My 5-hour flight was delayed 5 hours. Missed all my scheduled events. I had planned for up to 3 hours of issues (delays, traffic, luggage issues, etc.) and it was still not enough to allow me to make my meeting on time. Additionally, the in-flight entertainment system linked to my seat was defective and only provided sound in one ear."
Cons: "The ticket was not valid...had to buy a new ticket"
Pros: "I like the courteous crew members, very cordial & attentive."
Cons: "The long wait on the aircraft after all passengers and crew were on board waiting for the oxygen tank to arrive."
Pros: "I was able to change my flight to an earlier one saving me from having to wait 6 hours. I did not have to pay extra for changing my flight."
Cons: "I'm kind of tall so leg room always seems scarce."
Cons: "Extremely dirty planes. Rude staff."
Pros: "I flew through Vancouver from Boston on my way to Brisbane, Australia and back. I was nervous at first because of the 2 hour connection windows. This might be a testament to Vancouver Airport more than Air Canada, but the flight home after an initial 14 hour flight was pain free. Boarding was fast (the flight wasn't full) and we ended up pulling away from the terminal early. I slept most of the flight so I can't really comment on food. The entertainment was the same as when i left for Australia, which was ok. It had a decent variety to select from."
Pros: "It's Vegas, what's not t like!"
Cons: "Plane ride home after 4 nights in Vegas..."
Pros: "Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but they can only do what is within corporate rules to help you. Their corporate policies are NOT GOOD!"
Cons: "Flying Air Canada is horrible! They nickel & dime you to the point of tears. They charged me $15 per leg to make advanced seat assignments ($60 total) then changed my flights and put me in middle seats on two legs without asking me - I didn't find out until I was ready to board and they called my name to come to the gate desk! They also charge $33+ US to check one bag. If you go over the 50 lb weight limit they charge $100. By the time you add it all up, I could have flown on Delta through the US for less. Trying to get my seat selection fees reimbursed was very difficult; At the airport, they told me to go online and ask for a refund; Online, I couldn't find the way to get to the refund link; Called Customer service again, who gave me an 800# to call for a refund; the person on the 800 # told me I had to request it online but walked me through it to find the refund link; I filled in the online request and was told by automatic reply that Air Canada would investigate it and get back to me within 3-4 weeks. Ugh! No more Air Canada for me!"
Pros: "Flight timings were perfect for my schedule. Boarding and departure were timely as well."
Pros: "I'm done flying with this company. Only reason I did was because I had a $100 gift card from the last time I flew with them and it was delayed 4 hours. Couldn't even use the gift card to pay for my luggage because they didn't have a proper machine to accept the gift card."
Cons: "The movie selection was limited. The stewardess were not very friendly and were hard to hear,"
Cons: "Boarding was slow and chaotic because of the number of passengers bringing oversize carry-on bags, presumably to try to avoid the checked-bag fee. The overhead bins filled up early, and passengers squabbled over the available space and objected when flight attendants told them they would have to gate-check their bags. The aisle was congested and blocked for long periods of time as people tried to fit their bags into the bin, and the plane left the gate more than 15 minutes late because of the slow boarding. There were about 100 people on the flight, but only about 20 at baggage claim (including at least two family groups), another indication that the checked-bag fee caused passengers to bring oversize carry-on bags. The overall rating for this flight would be significantly higher if it weren't for the boarding process."
Pros: "The flight itself was fine, free WiFi on board, movies to watch, stewards and stewardesses on board were very kind and attentive."
Cons: "I was originally flying WestJet, and the 7:05 AM flight I booked was cancelled. I hopped online and booked the 8:10 AM flight via Air Canada back to Boston. First, the flight was oversold, so only AFTER I was able to check my bag did I learn that I was flying stand-by. Completely nerve wracking. If I had known in advance I would have booked with another airline. I was able to get on the flight thanks to some volunteers who gave up their seats on the 8:10 AM flight for the next flight out (10:10 AM) in return for some monetary compensation. I arrived in Boston, and after waiting for 45 minutes, I learned my bag was put on the 10:10 AM flight rather than the 10:10 AM flight, but only after dealing with a snappy and disrespectful check-in attendant that seemed to not believe me that my bags indeed did not arrive. The office for baggage services for Air Canada was vacant and locked next to the carousel. Myself and a couple of other travelers, upon getting to the check-in counter and explaining the situation mistakenly lumped us all together and said "okay so you're all traveling together and your bags need to go the same place". Me: "No, that's incorrect, we are not related or traveling together, we just all have the same issue--none of our bags have arrived". Other Air Canada representative, who up to this point had not been involved in the exchange: "She didn't ask you if you were related, she asked you if your bags were lost" and then proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away from the counter. I suppose she misinterpreted my concern for rudeness and felt the need to put me in my place. Granted, my early morning flight cancellation and the stress associated with flying standby had nothing to do with them, but the attitude I was given as a concerned traveler whose bag was potentially lost was completely unwarranted. Compounded with the frustration of the entire morning I cannot describe how infuriating this exchange added up to being. I was told my bag would be delivered to my home by 4 PM that day. No bag. Got a phone call at 7 PM - they'd be there in the next hour. 10:00 PM and going to bed: No bag. I gave up and prepared to make a claim in the morning. 8:30 AM Sunday morning - my bag is sitting on my front porch wrapped in a trash bag. What a fiasco."
Pros: "Crew was great; polite, friendly, tolerant."
Cons: "Could have larger selection of films. Bathrooms get very dirty during long flight."
Pros: "Trouble free"
Cons: "Very costly - then we were hit with an extra $172 in baggage fees for 1 bag each."
Cons: "Splitting couples in different seats. The only way to seat together was to pay extra."
Cons: "I feel that there should be more room between seats for people that are in the heavier side"
Pros: "The crew was kind, helpful and expedient in their work"
Cons: "My boyfriend and I were flying from Toronto to Salt Lake City, we didn't pay for assigned seating (because who really wants to dish out extra money for something as silly as that?) and thought that it just meant that we still had seats on the plane and they just might not be next to each other which was fine. We did online check in and having our tickets sent to our phones (his worked fine and mine never came through, yes, we triple checked to make sure my phone number and everything was correct). Both of our tickets ended up saying the seat was GTE so when we got to the terminal (two hours early) the moment an employee was behind the counter we went up to talk to them and they said that we would get a seat on the flight and that it wouldn't be a problem at all for us to sit together. Right before they start boarding an announcement is made that the flight was overbooked (by 8 people!) and they were asking if anyone would be willing to give up their seat and receive compensation (no one would). So, all 8 of us had to go up to the same snarky man who had told us that we WOULD be getting seats and have him explain to us that the next flight isn't until tomorrow and we had to go to the Air Canada customer service desk to get the flight plan figured out. We had to wait 2 hours in line just to talk to someone who tried to make Air Canada out to be the victims (how dare we not want to pay $40 for a seat and because of our frugality poor Air Canada now has to compensate us for the inconvenience AND get us new plane tickets, we should feel so bad for them because they are now losing money). We had to wait for about 40 minutes with this lady because she was either new or not competent enough to figure out how to get us new tickets with Delta (guess why Delta? because Air Canada had already overbooked the flight out for the next day too! Looks like they'll be losing some more money). Oh yeah, she also scolded my boyfriend for having his plane ticket on his phone, because it inconvienenced her. That lady finally left and we finally got help from someone who actually knows what decent customer service is (shout out to Michelle Khan at Air Canada). She was really nice and understanding and was actually able to go through the process of getting us tickets and in a timely manner. She explained that while it is a complete joke, by law flights are allowed to overbook their flights by up to 10% of seats available on the flight. We could understand overbooking by a couple, but really, 8? Never fly with Air Canada."
Pros: "Efficient process gate to gate. Comfortable seat."
Cons: "Flight attendant ran down the aisle repeating "fasten seatbelts" pretty loudly because we were entering totally mild turbulence. She went seat by seat ensuring that passenger's feet were completely free, i.e. if your purse strap was laying over your toes she made you move it."
Cons: "the drip drip long delay. could have stayed in the main terminal If the delay was announced immediately."
Pros: "I appreciated the timing of when they fed us. It was almost like they read my mind each time I thought... Hmm I'm getting hungry. The movie/tv selection was excellent."
Cons: "I felt cramp, which it's economy class so of course. But in the back there were tons of open rows and I wish they had spread us out."
Pros: "The staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating."
Cons: "There could have been a bit more on the entertainment selection side."
Pros: "I liked the comfort and the service"
Cons: "the long delay in Montreal"
Pros: "The crews were okay, they tried."
Cons: "First, the plane was a 767, rode a plane of that size cross the Pacific was extremely uncomfortable. We sat inside the plane for over 2 hours because of some unknown luggage/passenger problem before taking off! I found there were no entertainment. That was the first time I flew oversea without entertainment (TV). The tightness of the seating and boredom made the trip extremely long and uncomfortable."
Cons: "2.5 hour delay and this seems fairly standard with this airline. Going to Toronto we had two long delays and one cancelled flight."
Cons: "We had to sit on a bus and wait 30 minutes to be taken to a different gate. The seats aren't comfortable and like most the seating is cramped with little space. Flight attendant was rude after I refused to take an aisle seat from my window seat."
Pros: "Lack of services in Air Canada is disappointing. I asked for an iPad, which, i was asking to rent to watch a movie and no one got back to me."
Pros: "Flight got delayed twice I had to go to the airport 3 times, finally the personal change me to another airline. I payed over 250 just in taxi to and from the airpor, plus 300 dollars in hotel reservations plus 250 in tours. The airline other than continue rebooking and printing more and more boarding passes did nothing"
Cons: "Flight got delayed twice I had to go to the airport 3 times, finally the personal change me to another airline. I payed over 250 just in taxi to and from the airpor, plus 300 dollars in hotel reservations plus 250 in tours. The airline other than continue rebooking and printing more and more boarding passes did nothing"
Pros: "on time -thank you"
Cons: "my headset didn't work - it should have - the individual entertainment system on the flight was not working"
Pros: "AIR CANADA MAKES YOU FEEL TO BE A SPECIAL BEING, OFFERS INFORMATION, FACILITIES AND AID YOU."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled. I had to rerouted through New York and missed connecting flights"
