The overhead bin did not stay down low enough so that I could place my bag in. It would lower then before I could place my bag raise slightly by a few inches. For someone of my height (5’5”) that was problematic. Fortunately another passenger saw my dilemma and held the bin lower to its full opening capacity. This also momentarily slowed down the boarding process.
Flight was perfect!
The passenger next to me was occupying 1.5 seats but the crew didn't help.
The outbound crew was terrific. The flight itself was fine. We even arrived early.
Upon deplaning in Cancun, ALL passengers are put on a bus and driven far away from the terminals to an arrivals area. Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare--and God help you if you don't have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection...and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare.
Everything went smoothly.
The row I chose for a seat was next to the bathrooms. Those seats don’t recline. Found it it’s very hard to sleep sitting upright. That made the flight and the first day of my international trip difficult. It would be nice for the sites seat selection feature to include such nfo on seats. I paid nearly $2000 for a shitty seat.
Due to a knee injury, I needed more personal assistance, the custermer service & attention I received was EXCELLENT - from being expedited through the check in, special luggage assistance, special seat selection, wheelchair assistance throughout the security & boarding process to the professionalism by ALL the crew after being diverted to Iceland for a medical emergency of a fellow passenger.
Because of the medical emergency & being diverted to Iceland, the flight time was extended by close to 4 1/2 hrs. The snacks/"food" provided were definitely insufficient.
Good Movie Selection, food was descent, no screaming children,
Layover in Frankfurt too long; Unable to sleep on flight, nearby windows were open creating too much light, seating a bit too close to relax.
The flight attendants were very welcoming
The crew lost my carry on. I later found it on the check bag carousel.
Again, the staff & assistance received were extremely pleasant & professional from the rebooking process & the boarding & deboarding process to the luggage retrieval were excellent. I could not have made this trip without all their help.
These planes are so small & the seating is so tight that it makes the trip very uncomfortable especially for someone with special needs who might no be able to afford the extra expenses.
