I had another flight to catch in Salvador to bring me back to Miami and because the Salvador flight was cancelled I missed all my other flights and neither Azul or Tam wanted to help me get to my final destination. Azul offered to get me on a flight to Salvador the next day, but that did nothing for me since all of my other flights were scheduled for the day before. Long story short, I had to purchase a brand new flight for $1016. I paid for something that was not my fault and all anyone could say to me was, "I am sorry, there is nothing we can do for you" Words cannot express the rage, irritation and frustration I felt on that day."

Eyemasks and earplugs are provided, which is ridiculous. I can easily pack those. Traveling with bulky pillows and blankets just to be able to sleep is crazy. No meals on Jetblue, even on international flights. All other airlines from US to LIma have meal service. No entertainment on international flights All other airlines from US have movies, games or free onboard WIFI. Seats have very little recline so your head falls forward if you try to relax. The headrest is not adjustable for height or side to side support. The benefit of having extra leg room is offset by the fact that you have to bring pillows, blankets, food and entertainment. The value is not there. The rates I paid were comparable to other US airlines flying the same route."

We were at the airport at 4:30am because the flight was scheduled to depart at 6:05am we were lucky to be able to rebook for a flight SDQ-ATL DL576 for the same day hoping to make the connection ATL-IND. Unfotunately that flight was rerouted to Charlotte due to bad weather conditions with a delay of 3 hrs before it landed in ATL thus missing our connection to INDI and had to sleep in ATL and leave the next day to IND thus missing a meeting commitment that we had in IND. We should and expect to be compensated by Delta for this."

As an example, if you have a "Zone 2" boarding pass, you think you will be second to board when in reality that means you are second to last to board. After those who need extra time, those with small children, active military, premier, whatever.... all that covers about 2/3 of the passengers. Then of course there's all the stepping over those who already boarded which seems to slow the process overall. It would be better to ask these questions when making your reservation. Then, the zones would be appropriate based on how you made your reservation to begin with."

After passing the long lines of security checks, you come to passport checking stations. only 1 out of 3 available stations is manned. Again, lines too long and barely moving. Probably many missed their flights while waiting to go through passport checks. We lost almost 2 hours between security and passport checks. Airport personnel were unfriendly, they did show any care towards the hundreds that are herded like sheep in long lines. They could have eased this backlog of people by manning all their available stations but they did not. Will try not to go through this airport in the future."

Crews kept forgetting passengers orders/requests. A lady sitting besides me pushed a call bottom 3 times to get noticed. Flight attendants were too busy chatting with passengers to help other passengers. I have never seen that type of services before."

In particular I thought my bag would not make the connection, and as I was going on to Perugia that evening and it would have been a big mess. At check-in for the Rome flight, the LH lady was able to confirm my bag was already aboard which put me at ease. It came through very quickly in Rome and I arrived in Perugia on time and with my bag! Food from Bogota was tasty and there was a complimentary snack on flight to Rome."

Nice to get wine, or maybe beer(?), with dinner at no extra charge, served from regular wine bottles, not individual-serving containers."

Cons: "But then they deboarded the plane and everything went south fast. They didn't tell us what was happening or where to go or what to do. Instead we were directed to different service centers. We were told conflicting things. Sometimes they told us to exit the airport through passport control, but without any information on what to do next. They reopened the terminal but then redirected us to a service center. That center was overloaded and we ended up waiting in line for service/information for the entire day. Once I was near the service center they dissipated the line. They told us there was another service center in a different part of the airport and that this one we have waited for was closing. We went there and it was also closed instead they had beds without blankets or pillows limit the halls. Alia we were in line for hours before they offered any water or food. Food was really late. Information was the problem here. We were not told what we should do except to check with the service center. Eventually a few of us tried to get through passport control and check the service center out front. This worked much better. I was able to get a hotel and a standby ticket. That flight went much better but getting that far was a mess."

On top of that when I originally booked my flights, I had made sure to have 1.5 hr for a layover between my connecting flights. Well, they decided to move up my connector such that I had 25 minutes to run across 2 terminals. They only give you pretzels on the plane, and a single soda drink. They offer you "food bundles" but why do I want to pay $8 for a sandwich that costs $1 to make."

The long, ridiculous AA boarding process consisting of 9 groups and 2 short lanes, taking about 20 minutes to get 30 people outside. 4. 30 people wander around outside on the tarmac, trying to find a sign for Albuquerque. 5. BAGGAGE HANDLERS tell some of the passengers that the planes have been switched, and we should now board the plane marked Flagstaff. 6. Gate agents come outside, receive information from -- again -- BAGGAGE HANDLERS -- and then tell everyone to go back inside. 7. Once inside, gate agents tell passengers they have no idea what is going on, where they will be departing from, or when. 8. Gate agents tell passengers to go through the (long, ridiculous) boarding process a second time, and get on the second plane on the left. 9. A couple of PASSENGERS remind the gate agent that the baggage handlers specifically said that plane was not going to Albuquerque. 10. Gate agents change their minds, and tell passengers to get on a different plane. 11. We finally get on the damn plane."

Not only that, the bag that I checked did not make it off the flight so I remained in DC while my bag went to Medellin. I had to purchase new toiletries and had to make arrangements to get back to the airport. As of now, I do not plan on choosing American Airline nor LATAM for my future flights."

All this was still fine but it was the horrible service I received from their baggage department that made this trip the worst I've ever had. My baggage came 7 days late and I received the worst service through their baggage customer service. Must say that I'm very disappointed in American Airlines."
