The turn time for a connecting flight from Europe to the US was only 40 minutes. We had to run through the airport, wait in passport control and the barely made the flight. Also, were were told at the counter that the maximum carryon weight was 9KG and were forced to check our two carryon. When we got to the gate, the size allowable was 11KG. Both checked pieces did not make the connection and are delayed two days. This all happened because of the 40 minute landing to takeoff time difference. When I asked the counter people about this being too tight, they said Lufthansa has a problem with this as it happens all the time.

Flight attendant gave as extra seat for infant

I can't honestly describe this flight because my partner and I were unwillingly kicked off of it. We paid full price for our tickets and were confirmed and on time for our departure. However, we were not given seat assignments. When we went to the boarding gate to remedy us, the attendant literally shooed us away saying that the flight was overbooked and we were in standby. After boarding ended, we watched as people who were late for the flight were allowed to board. Then, all of the other standby passengers except my partner and I were permitted to board. As the plane departed the attendants repeatedly told us that "this is how airlines work"--which is to say they overbook us and our flight is not guaranteed. We were reimbursed a payment that wasn't even a quarter of what the flight originally cost us. We were also out up in a hotel room that we were told was downtown--it was 3 miles from the city center with no access to a nearby train. Today we were forced to go through security and passport check all over again for a flight we have been wait listed for. So we had to make this torturous trip back to the airport to hang in tedious uncertainty. I'm not sure when and if we will get home. I'm not sure how many times we will have to relive this airport check in and rebooking nightmare. Lufthansa is hands down the worst airline I have ever flown with and I would not recommend them to anyone.

We had to go down 4 flights of stairs holding our bags to get to the bottom, to wait for 10 mins for a bus...that took us all across the airport to board our plane. We were about 40 mins delayed on top of that.

On my flight to Zaghreb i had an Echo Classic ticket with baggage allowance and on my return suddenly an eco light without allowance. Had to pay more than 50 Euros for my luggage.

Got to the ticket counter at 8:35 and my flight my was set to take of at 9:30. There wear others in the same boat as me, we where all flying with American. I will Never ever fly with American again! The Lady was so rude then she said we were disgrutle when we ask to speak to a manger about trying to board even though or flight didnt leave until 9:30. Not Military Friendly at all. So I ran down to Lufthansa and talk with a guy at the ticket counter that was understanding of the sistuation, he told me what to do once a Book my trip through Kayak he checked me in and got me right to the front and on the plane for the next flight that left 2 hours after my missed flight. I book my trip and got through Tsa all before my flight with american even took off. When I boared the plane the cabin crew was very helpful and laughing and joking with the passagners their smiles brighten my day and made me feel at easy. I was stressed out about missing my flight with American Airlines and that lady at the ticket counter that when on got my flight with Lufthanse I felt like they were my friends and that I have been flying with them before. I will always use Lufthansa when fliying back home back to the states! Thank you to flight crew and men and women at the ticket counters!!"

The only thing that was lacking had to do with the size of the jet. There was limited room in the small jet but it was fine for the short duration.

The flight itself ws fine. My issue is with the fact that it was virtually impossible to make the connecting flight the Iberia listed as an option and that I booked. The Madrid airport is so big that you need quite a bit of time to get from one flight to the next. My husband and I missed our connecting flights so had to wait 3-4 hours to get on the flight Iberia re-booked us on.

I arrived at JFK at 8 pm and bags did not come through baggage claim for three hours. THREE HOURS!!! It was a terrible experience. I won’t fly Level or Iberia again.

The flight was cancelled. Is unacceptable. We want to pass a good moment during our trip. But because of you we have galeried during more 1 day.

It would have been very helpful to have a notice re COVID testing requirements sent the day before the flight / we almost missed it, even though we were really early bc we had to test at the airport. Also, there was food served, and it would have been nice to know that this was included, since it was t on the way out… we are gluten free and didn’t know to order a special meal. This leg was on American Airlines, the leg to Spain was on Iberia

Many people had masks off for very long periods of time. I noted one woman sleeping for the last 3 hours of the flight with no mask on. Cabin crew walked past several times, served drinks and food and didn’t bother to say anything until land procedures. Also during the meal they flight attendant told us there was one chicken meal left and left it amount is to argue who gets it. Frustrating and unsafe flight.

My carry on bag had to be stored in the bottom of the aircraft as the overhead lockers in the aircraft are small. As such - just before you board the aircraft, you place your carryon bag at the bottom of the steps and then when you get off at your destination, you collect your carry on bag at the bottom of the steps - no time wasted and worked easily."

Cons: "JFK-Madrid flight got delayed by 3 hours which would cause me to miss my connection for Madrid-Split (~2 hour layover), I asked the Iberia representatives at JFK about changing the flight and they reassured me that “the connecting flight would hold for us” and “no need to change our flight”. To our surprise the connecting flight already left when we arrived to Madrid. It’s clear that this was a case of “not our problem” from the JFK Iberia ticket agent. Rather than helping us find a viable alternative for our flight (namely a flight that doesn’t arrive more than a full day later) before leaving for Madrid they shipped us to Madrid where there were poor/no options for getting to Split at the original planned time. I’m very upset that I’m going arrive more than a day late to my destination and that I was blatantly lied to by the Iberia agent at JFK, never ever going to book a flight with Iberia again."

It had nothing to do with the size as they explained, just they thought the flight was too full and needed to send some carry on to cargo. We were given seats in the last row and couldn't recline at all for the long flight. Since we booked our seats over six or seven months ago this was a disappointment. Because we were in the last row we got the food last. It wasn't particularly tasty. There was no choice in food. They just dropped some beef dish on or trays. The woman ahead was a vegetarian. The flight attendant told her her only option was to eat peanuts. Extra water was never offered. The breakfast sandwich with ham and cheese was inedible. It was cold and tasteless and difficult to chew. I've been on about 30 international flights. This was one of the three worst ever."

And I paid $45 to get that window seat instead of my original seat that had been randomly assigned!! I wish that airlines provided a couple seats for tall people, because our height is a kind of disability given the cramped seating (which average height people complain about)."

I get to the airport with my 2 bags ready, TAP tells me on large holidays, they only allow 1 bag to be checked to my specific african destination until January 11. And that one bag will cost me $120. They will not let me have the second one. Who does that? How much sense is this supposed to have. I checked with others and they do not do that. Never again they will see me."

Forget reaching ANYONE after 9 pm; ditto for trying to do anything online, e.g., checking in, picking seats, modifying reservations, etc. If you are forced to do anything at night, prepare yourself for total frustration."

I was also seated right next to the bathroom, which usually isn't so bad, but since most of the passengers were elderly, it was being used literally nonstop for the majority of the flight. The crew only briefly cleaned it once... I was seated next to a screaming toddler as well. This isn't really the airline's fault, but it certainly didn't help. I felt like I did not get my money's worth for this flight and that it was a poor experience."
Pros: "Plane from Milan to Lisbon was dirty. Tray tables were filthy the toilet was disgusting as though it had not been cleaned in ages. No in flight entertainment. Only had magazine for purchasing products duty free. Had a difficulty time checking in. Over 1 and 15 mins for check in and we were about the 7th party in line. Agent spent over 15 mins with 3 of the people ahead of us. 2 sections of airport for checking in with TAP be aware and make sure you are at the open check in area.. Aware after about 15 mins that we must be in the wrong section. Then had to pay extra to go through security to get our flight. We arrived 2-1/2 hours prior to plane departure at the airport."

The boarding was delayed and we sat in plane for another hour after boarding. I was late for connecting flight and had to rebook connecting flight 6 hours later and ended coming to my destination 6 hours late

It was legit the worst flight of my life. A whole family with 3 kids was sat behind me, the baby cried until we landed, the other kids wouldn't stop kicking my seat. The parents didn't seem to care at all. But that's not all. The crew was rude, i asked one of the attendants if i could take one of the empty seats in the back because i couldn't sleep like that and he told they were broken so i couldn't. Then after a while i saw a man sleeping on those seats (using 3 of the seats in fact) so i mentioned this to the same attendant. He said it was the passenger decision (?). But when i tried to do the same earlier, he said i couldn't do that. I never had the option to choose a vegetarian meal. So i couldn't eat half the food they gave us. The usb chsrgers didn't work at all. None of them so my phone died. Two women started fighting verbally, i couldn't understand what they were saying because of the language but im pretty sure they were insulting eachother. The flight attendants were all males for some reason. Oh and when i went to the back and kindly asked for some water (i even took my bottle with me) the attendant gave me a big bottle of water and said pour it yourself. Maybe it's something about this culture (muslims) but they were all so rude and disrespectful. I will never in my life flight again with this airline or buy a flight with a layover in morocco or any muslim country. Im not racist, this is just what i went through.

Barely any English was spoken and I was yelled at to remove my headphones for landing when my music wasn't even playing, (although on any other flight, a device in airplane mode is not a problem). During the flight, the crew was extremely chatty and loud in the back of the cabin disturbing conversations I was trying to have with the person next to me. "Entertainment" was a kids tv show when I doubt that kids can even see the screen. No sound."

I've been try for a week now to get a cancellation letter from the airlines so my travel insurance will rememburse me the extra $1800 I had to spend on new flights to get home. I was told by the airlines they may look at my case sometime in the next 30 days to give me the letter I need. Really! All you have to do is hit a key on your computer to kick one out. Never again with these guys!"

Cons: "No organized boarding, they allowed passengers to just push their way through without any line. It was a really old, small plane, didn't have any entertainment whatsoever; the food was ok but handling was quiet unhygienic. The bread was not individually wrapped nor was there a thong to pick up bread with so they allowed passengers to put their hands in the basket to get bread and you could see passengers touching more than one bread then selecting one. Most of the crew had the most sour expression on their faces. Clearly didn't want to be of service to anyone. I had a very very bad experience with RAM several years back flying from Dakar to Casablanca and was horrified how rude the crew was to passengers. I was hoping things had improved, sadly not. There is a huge difference in how they treat passengers on flights in Africa and those to the US. Very disappointed. But at least the plane landed safe."

It would be nice if some vegetarian food were offered."

I had arrived at Dakar airport at 12am for a 6:40 flight because of the strike. My friends in Dakar suggested that I get their that early. So I had no sleep. Cons: "We were not informed prior to arrival at airport that there was a crew strike. And that there was a possibility that our flight would be affected. The flight was delayed for 2 hours with no announcements. I had a Mauritanian necklace that I bought while in Senegal 30 years ago. And the female searcher gave me a hard time, would not let me pass through inspection and reported me to her superiors. She insisted that there was something inside of my necklace. It was only when I got nasty with her in French, did she finally let me pass through so I could wait at the boarding gate. I spoke to others who were on their way to Lagos and other parts of Africa who had waited at airport for 2 days with no accommodations."
