I resented having my passport and ticket demanded at least 4 times. A bit overkill and a power trip by security. Absolutely despise airport security...there is no uniformity.

The couple ignored the instructions to move seats forward during meals making it impossible to eat. They placed their luggage in the overhead compartment belonging to both rows, which wasn't a problem if they hadn't proceeded to open and close the compartment every 20 minutes. The 300 pd dad repeatedly stepped on my broken toe while reaching for his luggage, while rattling around and disturbing sleeping passengers. And, sadly the child repeatedly threw temper tantrums without any care or effort of intervention from the parents. In short, they terrorized the surrounding travellers. In contrast, my outbound flight, also had a family seated in the row directly in front. This family was the antithesis, considerate and respectful of their fellow passengers. Susan Laws
Pros: Everything about my flights on Virgin Atlantic was amazing. The plane was new and comfortable, the seats seemed to recline more than in other airplane I have been. The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!

During the flight I was told there was no such request in their records and therefore I had to stay hungry for the entire duration of the flight. During my return flight from LHR to LAX the in flight entertainment system for my seat was not functional. I requested it to be reset several times and in spite of the hostess resetting it several times, it did not function. I had to stay without an entertainment system during the entire flight. This was my first time travel with Virgin Atlantic. I may never fly Virgin Atlantic again.

The pillow on my seat had makeup on it.

Cons: You lost our luggage. We were able to pick up our luggage after the Sydney flight, but they never made it to Minneapolis. What I don't understand is why we were not able to get boarding passes and seat assignments when we did our check-in in Sydney? Why is that so hard? Also, when we were getting our boarding pass in LAX it was so confusing when it asked for checked bags. Our bags were already on a belt going to who knows where - were we supposed to check "yes"? If we had a boarding pass this would not have been an issue.

Pros: Superior comfort, class, and style. The crew was friendly and accommodating, the pilots kept you up to date with flight info and departure/arrival time (and kept the seat belt light off almost the entire trip), the food was delicious and offered throughout, and the entertainment was top notch. Seats were comfortable (we had bulkhead row Space+ and they were worth every cent for the international long haul from LAX-BNE and SYD-LAX) and everyone got a pillow/blanket. We got premium noise-canceling headsets, water, and a little care kit including an eye mask and earplugs and a pen to fill out your travel documents. The overhead bin space was huge and we got two free checked bags of luggage up to 50lbs each (I don't know of that's standard or not, or if it came with Space+ seats). SERIOUSLY the best airline.

Cons: The boarding process was a pain in the butt. Even though my boyfriend and I did a pre- check-in online the day before. We still had to wait over an hour to check our one piece of luggage and wait to be checked in and get the boarding pass. Even though the site says we have the option to print out the boarding pass or show the code on our phone, we still had to deal with all the hassle. The plane was smelly until we were about to take off. The first meal on our way back from Istanbul was awful. The omelette was greasy, overly cheesy and bland. Same goes for the spinach pastry in the same tray. On the flights to Cairo, there was not enough drinks served. I only had one beverage offered to me. I was bypassed when they were serving the coffee/ tea. Also, the timeliness with serving drink was bad... I waited about 4 hours before getting my first beverage on the flight home.

Pros: I have flown Turkish Air many times since 2010, and used to like the airline. Not so much anymore. I would say their entertainment center and food are pretty good.
Cons: They used to have an affordable Economy Premium option, now all they have are seats made for someone 5’5” 150 pounds. Anyone over 6’ can and will suffer greatly. I’m 6’4” and fly many of their 12 hour flights from LAX to Istanbul and have to sit sideways, until my back aches so bad I have to turn. They also keep their planes unbearably hot, which I have no idea why, making the trip in that cramped seat horrible. Their in between meals snacks consist of cheese sandwiches, and the attendants never come around with drinks or snacks. I also fly Singapore Air and Emirates and their service is subperb!
Cons: The crew on board was aloof, and somewhat rude. I was traveling with my 87 yr old mother and they did little to help, especially when we needed the restroom but they had the aisle blocked for most of the time, serving food. There was no way to get around to access the bathroom and the crew turned us away from the only available bathroom in the front. Really?! Not impressed at all. Also the flt was 30 minutes late making our connection tight. One of the young, gorgeous stewardesses was rude and dismissive of me when I asked about it.

Pros: The best airline to Europe! Period! Boing in the new 777 and has very comfortable seats with plenty of room for your feet even in economy class. Huge number of movies and TV shows. The food is excellent. Only missing part is to have some candies or chocolates for the 13 hour trip for San Francisco to Istanbul. You can not beat their price. Crew is very friendly and helpful at the same time. Slippers and socks they give you in economy class + cotton blanket of course make you feel you are 1st class traveler. What else? You name it and it is there. Will fly again with Turkish airlines.
Pros: Fantastic onboard entertainment. Lots of current movies and tv shows to watch. Music was available, too. Even a camera under the plane to see what you’re flying over...usually clouds. USB charging, big screens in the headrests, games, remote control with keyboard and game controller, network cable for laptops without Wi-Fi even. The had pillows and blankets on every seat when we arrived and handed out hot towels before the first meal. They also provided a kit with eye mask, toothbrush, cologne, and slippers. Far better than we expected.
Cons: We were subjected to at least five security checks after our transfer in Istanbul. At the gate they checked our passports and boarding passes five times before boarding, every carry on bag was searched and every person was patted down. We even watched while one man held up his baby for a guard to pat the baby down! This was all after the security we’d received to get to our gate. So, if you left the gate to use the bathroom, you had to go through all the checks again.
Cons: The Istanbul airport is very large and there are many people. The signage is generally pretty good, but it was confusing getting off the airplane from Berlin and seeing a sign saying something like " foreigners." I waited in that very long line for at least 30 minutes which ate up most of my layover time. Only to find out that it was for people with visas coming into Turley. I was directed to another, poorly marked, line for people transferring planes.

When I saw that the people had boarded, I went to the counter asking for the wheelchair. They sent me to Egypt Air to request it. Of course Egypt Air said I was not their passenger, so I should request the chair to my airline. I tell the man from Egypt air to talk directly to his colleagues in Turkish Airways. He is angry and tells me he's doing me the favor of getting the chair even if it's not his job, so i should be very thankful. He requested the chair and sat me on it. Kept telling me I should be thankful to him, even if it wasn't his job. Turkish Airways never got the wheelchair for me and I have mobility problem but they tell me to get to another airline to get it! No entertainment originally in Spanish in any flights for Spanish speaking passengers.

Cons: Boarding in Istanbul and Tel Aviv was chaotic, no business class boarding. Checking laptop in Istanbul was inconvenient. Lounge Istanbul was awesome however way too crowded to fully take advantage of it. Also should control people and what they takfor food. The lines were long and people would literally pile their plates with massive amounts of food, take it to their seat then leave it. Fix the lockers and add more, they are a wonderful asset but I was not able to take advantage of. Consider limiting access to manage crowds.
Pros: The crew on the plane was kind, accommodating, and polite. Free alcoholic drinks helped with the long list of negatives aspects of the flight.
Cons: Every flight was 30+ minutes late. Crew members at the gate were consistently on their phones and delayed service substantially. Not only am I incredibly frustrated that I could not bring my laptop onboard to do work, but the fact I wasn't told until right at boarding and it took extensive time to reclaim it makes Turkish airlines on par with Ryan Air for inconveniencing its customers. At baggage claim, the crew loaded our baggage on the incorrect track, making it take even longer to receive it. Seats and leg room are sub par. As someone who is 6'3, when the person in front of me put their seat back, I was forced to take a metal bar on the back of their seat to my knees (no matter the position). I will be recommending to both family and friends that they should avoid this airline at all costs.

Cons: The new carry-on laptop caused a delay of about 1 hr before departure and arrival an hour late, then claiming the laptop was almost a nightmare with long queue after picking up the luggages, one has to also claim their laptops in a make shift station In the baggage claims area. My suggestion is to put the computer laptops in alphabetic order by last name/surname, with the claim ticket,for easier access when picking up. As for departure, probably at check in to inform them that if you have a laptop carry-on so that can be taken care of right away as not to delay departure when they take it at the departing gate. This should be done at check in if in Turkey, or as a transferring traveler, to inform the traveler to take care of that as soon as arrived to transferring destination and for the traveler not to wait until boarding time at the boarding gate.

Cons: I was crowded in amongst a family who decided to camp in my row of 3 seats. (Literally, on the floor.) I could not move because I needed the bulkhead and aisle seat to stretch my legs. I am a Diabetic and needed it for circulation. I did not say anything but, the stewardess should have made one of the people go back to their seat as he was wedged near the window and sitting on the floor. It made my 13.25 hours trip very uncomfortable. They had a child with them so, I didn't wish to complain while on board.

Cons: Due to the laptop ban, the boarding and un-boarding process was brutal. We had to stand in line for an hour and a half just to hand over our laptops, where for some reason they decided to have only 2 people handling the process which created a huge line. The flight was 1:30 late and as we landed, there was no method to the delivery of the laptops to people. I had to wait almost 2 hours to get my laptop. Again, they only had 2-3 people handling the distribution of the laptops. I understand the security issue, but this issue was known for weeks now and there is no reason not to have enough people on the ground to take care of the boarding and distribution of electronic devices to at least make this an easier experience. There is no excuse for such poor preparation and service.
Pros: I got extremely sick on the flight from Istanbul to San Francisco. I now know I caught a stomach bug which hit me on the flights from Cape Town to Istanbul and then even worse from Istanbul to San Francisco. The flight from Istanbul was delayed by two hours due to customs delay for a passenger, as such there was a lot of recycled air. Take that and fact I'm pregnant and by time i started the 13 hour journey already felt sick. I started throwing up immediately and got sick 12 more times. the flight attendants brought me crackers, water and a cold towel and ice. My husband asked if he could pay to put me in business class but was not in airline policy. but i think given how sick and pregnant i was the flight attendant went to ask the captain if there was anything they could do to assist. they ended up moving me to business class to lie down and let me stay there for 3 hours. I got sick upon moving back but getting that rest really helped me. I felt like they genuinely cared about me and am so thankful to the two flight attendants who assisted: 1) Zumrat Bolukbas 2) Hatice (Cabin Chief) These women are amazing!

At first I was skeptical about using Turkish Airlines, afterwards I would definitely fly with them again no question. Pros: Took Turkish Airline from New Delhi to San Francisco. The flight is at 6:55am from New Delhi, so a little early start - but the connection in Istanbul is excellently timed. The aircrafts were 777-300ER on both legs, and rather new. The entertainment is great and the TV screens are 11inches. Could not complain at all. Food is fine, standard fare, and there are some snacks available through entire flight. Istanbul is a reasonable airport for a short connection. Turkish allows 2 bags of 50lbs free - yet another reason to take it along with the reasonable fares.
Cons: The luggage delivery at SFO took forever! The flight landed at 4:36pm and I got my luggage at 5:40pm. This is something I have noticed on Turkish Airlines multiple times. They really need to work on their luggage workflow.
Pros: The whole experience was great. After an excellent meal which included drinks before and an excellent wine selection the flt attendants came through and made up a bed for you. This included a cover for the seat, a blanket and a big pillow. As opposed to United where you have to stick your feet in a little cubby the Turkish plane has just an open bench which opens to provide storage and gives ample foot room. I have never slept so much on a flt. Also he bathrooms are much more spacious than others.

The mushroom, potato omelette was an egg omelette laying on top of canned mushrooms and a potato cake laying on the side. This is not a potato, mushroom omelette by American standards. The amounts of food are phenomenal and I couldn't eat all they offered.

Cons: Very little legroom. When the person in front of my reclined, I wasn't even able to open my tray all the way to eat. Flight was delayed for takeoff, that wasn't the airline's fault (air traffic) so that didn't factor in my review. Although the food is generally tasty, the dessert could be upgraded. I flew on 4 Turkish Airline flights this year and have never finished a dessert as I've not liked any of them. The bathrooms should be cleaned mid-flight for a 13 hour flight. It started out great but towards the middle of the flight, the bathrooms got really disgusting.

Cons: Perhaps because of Istanbul security measures, but all water removed before boarding plane, with no chance to get more. Stewards couldn't give out bottles of water, only those little cups from time to time. They could bring more of those little cups when you called for them, but not during turbulence. So having no access to water was not great (or planned out on their part). Also, no random sweeps of the aisle by the stewardess from time to time, to check on comfort. My seat kept being pushed by passenger behind me. Flight into Istanbul two weeks prior was great all around. This knee was filled with too many negative moments.

It's the 2nd Time Delta has done this to me in the space of 2 weeks and it's absolute Idiocy. Gouging you loyal customers like this is NOT how you do business.

Top-rate LA crew, flights always departs on time, early to destination more than half the time. Comfortable seats, upgraded to Delta Comfort today. Gate agent was friendly, helpful and joking with passengers. Made it seem like we were all going on an adventure. Kudos to Delta all around!!

When she showed up, she said she would not give seat assignments for another 15 minutes, so come back then. When I came back she said she wasn't giving seat assignments; go see the person checking in boarding passengers at the gate. That agent said she couldn't give me a seat, but watch the monitor for my name for seat assignments, then come back. Why couldn't the first gate agent say that instead of giving me the runaround and wasting my time???

Cons: I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint.

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again.

I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday.

The crew should have anticipated better that the technical problem would at least take one hour and give everyone a drink at least.

Pros: This was a cheap flight from LAX to ZRH with a layover in Moscow and that's about as good as it gets.
Cons: The check in personnel was not that helpful and were very slow to check in everyone to their corresponding flights, and since kiosks were not available for aeroflot the experience was unavoidable. The plane economy class is really as uncomfortable as it gets for a transatlantic flight. There were no beer options for the flight (nor vodka which is weird), and flight attendants weren't that happy to talk to you in English. 5 hours wait at Moscow are the worst, if you're thinking on saving some dollars on a transatlantic flight this is not worth it.
Pros: My initial flight from LAX to Moscow 10 days before the video entertainment system wasn't working for anyone, so we had to endure a 12 hour flight without movies or music. But this flight the system was working so I was happy for that. Food was fair.
Cons: Again the on boarding process was a mess. Gate number changed and everyone was once again cramming them selves into the line from all directions. Essentially there was no line. We also were at a gate where another flight ahead of us was still boarding (to London) so I think that made people more anxious and frustrated. When we finally passed through the gate and boarded a transport bus, the bus only took us a few feet away to the next gate, and they had us climb up a set of stairs up to the entry way from where our original gate number was located. Why even bother changing the gate then!
Pros: Cabin staff (Russian) tried very hard, had limited English, drinks available through our flight. In flight entertainment there were a lot of choices (13 1/2 hr flight). For LA to Spain it was the best price.
Cons: Announcements from flight deck in English very hard to impossible to understand. Most passengers are Russian. There are some differences in culture and etiquette that exist and you can either deal with them or you can't. Their norm is to be willing to stand in long lines. Personal space may be less than what we are accustomed to in US. The airline staff usually have some English but are not interested in having a discussion with you, just a couple of words. Food: passable, no more. Lady sitting next to me opened up a paper then plastic wrap, placed 2 smoked fish on a stack of napkins then proceeded to dismantle it with her fingers and eat it. It was smelly and disgusting. I commented to a flight attending that I found this impolite to inflict on other passengers - nothing was done - she didn't say a word to the passenger. I don't want to rule others but when I pay money, I don't feel that I should have no say. I might do it again but the cost difference would really have to make it worthwhile.
Pros: Food and drinks were completely free (red and white wine was the only alcoholic beverage unfortunately). They had a surprisingly good selection of movies (new and old), which update frequently. Gets the job done perfectly well and at a fraction of the cost. Will fly again.

I had 1 checked bag (which is free) and the 2nd bag (which is $50). But because they FORCED me to check in my guitar, the total became $200. It is absolutely ridiculous. I want to take it up with corporate and get my money back.
Cons: Three delayed flights and all we were given were food coupons. We missed a whole day due to flight delays. With our connecting flight from Moscow to Madrid, they were so late that they started moving with not everyone in heir seat. Seemed unsafe but I can tell they were in a rush since they were so far behind schedule.
Cons: Kosher food option was not great. We got the same dry roll, humus and chicken salad for three meals in a row and the hot entree was greasy and also repetitive
Pros: I liked everything, food, service, clean aircraft, Stuarts were very helpful and nice, love this company.
Cons: Small plane and no entertainment. Food is bland and meal options not changed for at least 3 months. For a frequent traveller that is bad.
Pros: the food was good on this flight. the flight attendants were very nice.
Cons: The seats are made for children. I am only 5'0" and my knees hit the seat in front of me.

Cons: Had no vegetarian food for me although I ordered it, the food I got as a replacement was bad.
Pros: Was very pleasantly surprised. Thought there would be a problem because they did not at first seem to have a vegan option upon making a special request ahead of time, but it turned out that if you're vegan you can specify you wish to have a vegetarian meal that does not have dairy (no cheese, etc.) and has no eggs in it, either! Thanks for having this type of meal instead of the meat option!
Cons: Flight was too short, was sad when it ended, ha, ha, ha!!! It was like being on vacation even before the trip started, and before getting there!!!!!!!!!

Pros: The only good thing was the entertainment I had on one leg of my flights. The 6 hour flight there was no entertainment, the 12 hour flight had tv and movies to watch which made the flight livable.
Cons: The crew was rude. Barely spoke any english and looked at you like you were stupid when you asked questions. The flight was 4 hours late, they did not give us an accommodations for being late. The bathrooms were disgusting from the beginning. The seats tiny and it was super hot in the plane. The flight attendants would hit you as they walked by almost every time I either had the back of my head hit or elbows knocked off the armrests. I will never be flying Aeroflot again. Tried to make my trip economical but it was not worth the dog food or warm coke they served.
Cons: I LOST MY LUGGAGE BACK FROM NEW YORK BACK TO ISRAEL AND I HAVE GOTTEN HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE IN HELPING ME TRY TO FIND IT!!!!! IF YOU FLY THIS AIRLINE FORGET ABOUT TAKING YOUR LUGGAGE I HAVE HEARD STORIES ABOUT PEOPLE LOSING THEIR LUGGAGE AND THINGS GETTING STOLEN FROM THEIR LUGGAGE!!!!!
