We felt claustrophobic, crushed, and at one point people were even having to jump over the escalator to the bus loading area because there was too much crowding. Dangerous"

The lady at the check in counter said they were weighing everyone’s at the gate so there was no way to get around it This however was a lie and they were not checking weight and people got on without having to pay the outrageous fee"

Cons: "In one trip, two flights canceled, and one flight delayed so missed connection. Hard to reach anyone to reschedule or change plans."

Cons: "Inbound flight - flight got canceled from Budapest - after calling the airline and waiting in the line the 2 first lady I was talking to put me on hold and never got back to me, the 3rd lady had no idea why the flight got canceled except it was for emergency. She said next flight would be 2 days later - after calling the insurance I booked for the flight, they didn't want to reimburse for the interruption because the airline could not explain why it got canceled and i should prove that the flight was canceled - after being 6h on the phone with airline and insurance and waiting line had to hang of without solution. I had to purchase a new ticket from another airline to be able to fly on the same day back to Miami. - after arriving at the airport next morning for the other flight it turns out that Tap Portugal booked me to British Airways but they have not send me a notification email about it, so if I do not ask at the counter for Tap Portugal for the paperwork for the insurance I would never find out that i got a new flight and i would have miss it and the insurance would have never pay for it. With the new ticket i had to purchase, my travel with Tap Portugal cost me on the end around $3000, and I do not have that much money for a ticket at all, now I have a financial trouble. Thanks, never again."

Cons: "Arrogant crew. Hid in galley behind curtain for most of the flight. For several hours not even the offer of a cup of water! No possibility to charge electronics in economy class. Charge of $ 75.00 for first bag on an international flight?!? We're not talking about a budget airline, but THE airline of Portugal!"

Cons: "Baggage fees were unacceptable. All but one of my group of 12 had to pay and we were not told why. It was not clear that this should have been done via the website prior to the flight and why is it significantly cheaper online? Very disappointing."

Cons: "They were lying about a supposed compensation for denied boarding which was supposed to be handed out in Lisbon. I didn't expect this behavior from grown up people, and such a company in Europe. TAP should be excluded from star alliance."

Pros: "The only airline that makes me feel like a human being and not a piece of baggage. Very comfortable seating with good legroom for tall people like me. Attendants treat you with respect and are responsive to requests."
Cons: "Gate number was different from what was on my ticket and the tv screen at the original gate didn't indicate where the new gate was supposed to be. Don't need that kind of stress when traveling!"

Cons: "There is only one unusual thing - the flight attendant was poking me to ask if I wanted food as I was clearly asleep and did not want to be bothered. There were still 90 minutes left till landing. Awkward and unnecessary and why in the world would she do that? Let people rest, please. :-)"

Cons: "The seats did not recline. It was impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep any at all, even though it was an overnight flight. It was also the first intercontinental flight I have ever taken which offered no entertainment whatsoever. I really don't understand why TAP used a plane with non-reclining seats for a five-hour overnight flight."

Cons: "The boarding process at Terminal could be easier and simpler. They told us to set up lines way before the actual call."

Pros: "The staff was very nice. Only bad incident was the misinformation on getting the D Tax. We went early to the airport to do it but could not get it because of erroneous information form the check in agent."
Cons: "When we checked our bags the check in agent did not let us take out bags after getting the boarding pass so we could get the D Tax refund at Customs. She said it was not necessary. She was wrong. French customs wanted to see the merchandise which we no longer had. When we complained at TAP we were told do it in Lisbon. Again in Lisbon we could not get the D tax because that custom agent wanted to see the merchandise which was being transferred to our Lisbon - Newark flight. We loss refunds of over $400. This problem ruined a perfect trip."

Cons: "We experienced a 6 hour delay in Lisbon because there was no fuel available - terrible planning causing us to spend hours on the runway."
