Cons: "Plane was not particularly clean"
Pros: "Quick check in and security. Good choice of on board service."
Cons: "The new US$35/direction checked bag fee is much higher than other airlines on the route, and makes porter the more expensive option. Some of the amenities at ytz (free coffee and drinks) are now gone."
Pros: "Leg room is adequate Seating at the gate is comfortable"
Cons: "I was shocked that my ticket didn’t allow carry on bags and I ended up having to pay 115$ for 2 Carry on bags. The person on check in counter was unpleasant and uncooperative which didn’t help. Very unfortunate situation."
Cons: "Justfly.com is awful and I wish kayak would stop sending customers to it. I will no longer use kayak because this is the second time my ticket has ended up being purchased through justfly."
Cons: "late and no apologies"
Cons: "Weather, plane and crew delays. Poor communication."
Pros: "once we took off it was okay."
Cons: "all the delay due to airport issues, thunderstorms, timing of plan landing slots. could have comped us snacks or something for waiting multiple hours and missing dinner time, didn't get compensated in any way for inconvenience"
Pros: "flight crew members were polite and helpful; the little freebies are a nice touch (water, cookies, etc.);"
Cons: "navigating porter's boarding process is somewhat difficult for people new to YTZ... the lounge where porter warehouses its passengers is overcrowded given the traffic and it's hard to know where / when to proceed to board. One unfortunate feature of low cost airlines across the continents seems to be the need to have read an instructional manual on how they *do things* prior to leaving for the airport ..."
Cons: "30 minute delay. No notice"
Pros: "The service is very good. In flight snacks and drinks are complimentary."
Cons: "No in flight entertainment."
Pros: "Crew is very polite and helpful. The truffles are awesome!"
Cons: "Frequent delays"

Pros: "The Porter Lounge is so nice"
Pros: "Personnel were consistently friendly and professional. The flight was just a couple of hours but the snack and drink were nice."
Cons: "Our flight was cancelled and we were not notified. On return, our flight was delayed one hour and no one ever communicated this while we were waiting at Billy Bishop terminal. Some information or acknowledgement of the delay would have been helpful."
Pros: "Great service. Efficient."
Cons: "there was a delay due to congestion in logan. they shouldn't have boarded us. we stayed in that tiny plane for an hour"
Pros: "See previous"
Cons: "Late plane"
Pros: "Great crew ... friendly and attentive."
Cons: "Nothing negative to say."
Pros: "Timeliness & Efficiency."
Cons: "Lack of intetests at the lounge."
Pros: "Once they were up and running, Porter was a great airline. Flight was short so i didn't expect anything fancy on the food menu anyway"
Cons: "My flight got delayed at least 5 times. Not a great first experience. Had an eerie likeliness of Spirit, which we all know is just not a real airline. not sure if I would fly again if that is the general perception of Porter airlines. I could care less about comfort as long as I get to where I am going on time, which I did not."
Pros: "Free espresso in waiting area"
Cons: "Flight delay. Hot plane. Small overhead bins. Dirty plane."
Pros: "My past 4 Porter flights over a few months have had at least 40 minutes of delays. They all also had the annoying pattern of announcing that the delay would be extended a few times, then saying no more delays, then not boarding until after the newest departure time while claiming no more delays. Toronto airport is cute but wifi is pretty bad and hasn't worked at all a few times. Recently gate area has been ridiculously overcrowded, people sitting all over the floor. Free food/drinks is nice but still very limited options and unsurprisingly people make a big mess of the free food area. Overall I prefer a large clean airports where wifi always works well and you can always find a seat for the 30+ minutes you wait for your flight."
Cons: "Wifi Crowded gate Delays Bad communication/dishonesty about delays"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Pros: "The amazing recovery of my iPhone left in the seat pocket A huge thank you to the finders Helpfull in flight staff and checkin staff"
Cons: "LONG WALK IN AIRPORT FOR CONNECTION"
Cons: "HATED having to take a bus from the plane to the terminal. I had to pee really bad and it took forever. I'm sure there was a reason but it wasn't clear to me, and I was super uncomfortable and unhappy. But I'm not blaming Porter Airlines for that either."
Pros: "Small airport. Easy to find everything. Ferry ride fun. Staff did not seem happy to be at work nor did they smile or acknowledge me. I asked 2 staff questions and was barked at: red line! And was told to get into a line that was non existent outside of security."
Cons: "I asked if I was supposed to leave my luggage in the rack that was just outside of the plane because I saw that's what everyone was doing. I was told it was my choice but that if it didn't fit in the overhead I would have to come back out and put it on the rack. I was very dismayed when I got off the plane to see that I had to wait in the hallway for quite a while until my luggage appeared. It was a real traffic jam of people. I really wish I had put my luggage in the overhead. Also, minutes before boarding we were told to go and verify our passports. It was quite a rush to run to the other end of the room, wait in line and then get to the boarding gate. I barely made it back in time even though I had been waiting there for nearly an hour ."
Cons: "Coming back through customs as an American citizen and a member of the United States Military, treated like another scumbag coming back to the US"
Pros: "Quick and easy"
Pros: "Cozy, friendly staff, free snacks and drinks at gates. A thousand times better than Pearson airport"
Cons: "Nothing everything was great"
Cons: "Trip was cancelled within one hour of boarding"
Cons: "lack of inflight wifi"
Pros: "Love the ease of flying into Billy Bishop, the staff, the complimentary snacks at the airport lounge. All great!"
Cons: "Your pricing now is almost not distinguishable from AC's"
Cons: "40 minute delayed boarding. No big deal though"
Pros: "The porter lounge in Toronto offered complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, bottled water, and a few varieties of soda. If you wanted something a bit more there was a mini food cafe to supplement what wasn't offered in the complimentary area. Free wifi, and ample seating made the wait for a flight bearable."
Cons: "Although the wifi was free it was limited to non streaming sites. No Netflix while you wait."
Pros: "Very convenient and very good service"
Pros: "The spacious seating & leg room was a delightful surprise! The cabin crew very professional & friendly."
Cons: "Bathroom way way too small"
Cons: "Held on the plane for 3 hours while waiting to de-ice"
Pros: "Plane was nice, clean, good entertainment options, departed almost on time, arrived on time."
Cons: "Boarding process - seat upgrades should come with boarding zone upgrades. Paying extra for a seat and then boarding in last zone makes no sense to me."
Pros: "The soda did not taste bad."
Cons: "Flight Delayed by 2 days, only offered hotel voucher for one day, despite being told we would get vouchers for 2 days. Customer service made no attempts to make the situation right. Employees at the airport did not know what they were doing, gave lots of misinformation. Upon landing, we were refused our bags despite being stranded for multiple days. Terrible experience. I urge you to stay away."
Pros: "Tried so hard to be friendly & cheerful to flight attendants & they were pretty humorless."
Cons: "Delayed over an hour then cancelled last minute, rebooked on a flight the next day that didn't leave until noon, had to call into reservations to get on an earlier flight on another airline"
Pros: "The connecting flight was with air Canada. In general the flight was fine. Landed on a Saturday afternoon."
Cons: "What was not fine was the horror at the other end when air Canada lost my bag (which had my suit and prescriptions) and couldn't tell me where it was or when it would be delivered for over two days of calling between their service centre and one the ground people at Boston. The call centre was in India, no one in Boston would tell them what was going on. It should not take three days to sort, when the bag had actually been sent on the next flight (on Saturday evening) after the one I took. Fortunately, was able to borrow BP medication from a relative and ultimately had to spend money to buy new suit and clothes before bag finally appeared because I had business meetings for which I needed appropriate attire. Every other airline I gave flown where my bag was delayed was always delivered in 24 hours. This was not Brussels airlines fault, it was the fault of air Canada."
Pros: "That we eventually got a flight home."
Cons: "Being stuck in Boston and Ottawa for 2 extra days and adding around $1200 on to our trip in hotels alone (I was travelling with 4 kids on a school trip and my wife). Additionally, we didn’t find out the flights were cancelled until we arrived at the airport. Apparently, they had been cancelled 2 hours before but there was no notification. Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to re-book, plus re-booking hotel along the way."
Cons: "Everything was seamless and i have no complaints. My return flight was cancelled amd i was automatically put on a different flight, and instead of waiting more than 2 hours from boston to get to canada, i was put on an earlier flight for which i am thankful for. However we couldnt take off as delta was clogging up the way to the runaway so ended up waitimg an hour to taje off which was ridiculous. Hope delta hires more ground crew so that others arent inconvenienced in the future."
Pros: "Many airlines have code share flights but it is better to buy ticket directly from the original airline as they keep on ignoring the code share flight bookings"
Cons: "Till last moment we were kept hanging if we will board or not as no seat number was allocated. I believe it was as we were from the code share airline not the real one"
Pros: "Boarding, service, entertainment we're all good."
Cons: "Early morning flights from Toronto to Boston are a bit bumpy usually. Pilots do their best to maneuver around those."
Pros: "Was confusing because united and air Canada were involved so had to triple check what airline and terminal we'd arrive in back in states."
Cons: "Hot day small hot plane for awhile"
Pros: "Same as above"
Cons: "Immigration was painfully slow and why getting checked again when just coming from another plane? wait time for luggage far too long seems an airport issue same movies"
Pros: "We flew to and from Tokyo in premium economy. The staff was friendly and multilingual. We appreciated the meals, each of which had a choice of Western or Japanese style; the overnight hospitality packs, which included a pillow and blanket, eye mask, earplugs, toothbrush, and comfy socks; and the unusual international movie options. Each flight kept more or less to schedule."
Cons: "The seat were roomy enough, but not as comfortable as we might like. Announcements took forever in three languages—I'd edit down. The breakfast rice congee was flavorless. One of our entertainment screens kept freezing. All minor gripes."
Cons: "For some reason we were forced to check our luggage (standard curry-ons) however it would completely fit to ovehead bins. Also waiting area were completely cut-off from Duty-Free shops - as soon as you passed security - no access to shopping area."
Cons: "Still waiting to try to get on a flight via the standby option, and even that flight keeps getting delayed and the gate was changed. The whole trip has been a clusterf***."
Cons: "I missed my flight due to new regulation eTA. why not warning people when purchase the ticket?"
Pros: "Clearing immigration in Vancouver is very convenient"
Cons: "Food choices are limited and expensive."
Pros: "Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but they can only do what is within corporate rules to help you. Their corporate policies are NOT GOOD!"
Cons: "Flying Air Canada is horrible! They nickel & dime you to the point of tears. They charged me $15 per leg to make advanced seat assignments ($60 total) then changed my flights and put me in middle seats on two legs without asking me - I didn't find out until I was ready to board and they called my name to come to the gate desk! They also charge $33+ US to check one bag. If you go over the 50 lb weight limit they charge $100. By the time you add it all up, I could have flown on Delta through the US for less. Trying to get my seat selection fees reimbursed was very difficult; At the airport, they told me to go online and ask for a refund; Online, I couldn't find the way to get to the refund link; Called Customer service again, who gave me an 800# to call for a refund; the person on the 800 # told me I had to request it online but walked me through it to find the refund link; I filled in the online request and was told by automatic reply that Air Canada would investigate it and get back to me within 3-4 weeks. Ugh! No more Air Canada for me!"
Cons: "We got delayed, but this was not the fault of the airline. My bags were put on the wrong flight as well"
Pros: "Small planes but still in seat screens. Good seat room."
Cons: "Pearson is awful. One of the slowest airports in the world."
Cons: "Many of us were refused boarding on the connecting flight. They gave away our seats. I arrived at the transvfer counter50 minutes prior to the flight. I was first. Gave excuse that bag must go with me. Customs confirmed that this is AC not customs. To add insult, they flight to Montreal was late, the flight to Boston was late, and finally my bag NEVER was on either flight so there excuse was an out right lie. I missed half the weekend home in over a month. AC doesn't value my time and I don't value their service. Every time I go back to this airline I realized why I left. Going to Asia; don't get suckered into using this route. BTW a friend on PVG-YUL-BOS never made it as well. AC still using a CRJ200 that can't land in weather. NOT A BUSINESS CLASS EXPERIENCE."
Pros: "Took off a bit late (40mins.) and we were anxious to get home! Other than that, no complaints!"
Pros: "long delay with no explanation, surly staff, poor communication"
Pros: "Short flight - no issues"
Pros: "Nothing in particular stood out in Montreal or the flight to Boston, as better than average...meh"
Cons: "Our Swiss crew told us over the loudspeaker several times that "even if connecting we still need to get our luggage" which turned out to be false as our luggage was transferred to the Boston bound plane automatically... We were ushered out as a group to a connection security check which required electronic kiosks to be used for scanning our passports photos and fingerprints... They fraught with malfunctions then after waiting in line for s while we did the whole check all over again with s human security agent in s booth... There were only 2 security agents in the booths as well but there really needed to be several more to keep the line moving quicker... After security we walk directly out to departures but no mention of baggage claim, which was fine had we not been misinformed by Swiss initially... We ended up inquiring several times with SirCsnsda staff until it was clear Swiss had misinformed us."
Cons: "I did not take it."
Pros: "The flight itself was fine, free WiFi on board, movies to watch, stewards and stewardesses on board were very kind and attentive."
Cons: "I was originally flying WestJet, and the 7:05 AM flight I booked was cancelled. I hopped online and booked the 8:10 AM flight via Air Canada back to Boston. First, the flight was oversold, so only AFTER I was able to check my bag did I learn that I was flying stand-by. Completely nerve wracking. If I had known in advance I would have booked with another airline. I was able to get on the flight thanks to some volunteers who gave up their seats on the 8:10 AM flight for the next flight out (10:10 AM) in return for some monetary compensation. I arrived in Boston, and after waiting for 45 minutes, I learned my bag was put on the 10:10 AM flight rather than the 10:10 AM flight, but only after dealing with a snappy and disrespectful check-in attendant that seemed to not believe me that my bags indeed did not arrive. The office for baggage services for Air Canada was vacant and locked next to the carousel. Myself and a couple of other travelers, upon getting to the check-in counter and explaining the situation mistakenly lumped us all together and said "okay so you're all traveling together and your bags need to go the same place". Me: "No, that's incorrect, we are not related or traveling together, we just all have the same issue--none of our bags have arrived". Other Air Canada representative, who up to this point had not been involved in the exchange: "She didn't ask you if you were related, she asked you if your bags were lost" and then proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away from the counter. I suppose she misinterpreted my concern for rudeness and felt the need to put me in my place. Granted, my early morning flight cancellation and the stress associated with flying standby had nothing to do with them, but the attitude I was given as a concerned traveler whose bag was potentially lost was completely unwarranted. Compounded with the frustration of the entire morning I cannot describe how infuriating this exchange added up to being. I was told my bag would be delivered to my home by 4 PM that day. No bag. Got a phone call at 7 PM - they'd be there in the next hour. 10:00 PM and going to bed: No bag. I gave up and prepared to make a claim in the morning. 8:30 AM Sunday morning - my bag is sitting on my front porch wrapped in a trash bag. What a fiasco."
Cons: "Flight was delayed. They lost my baggage. TV in my seat didn't work and they didn't do anything about it."
Pros: "-Staff offered free things like headphones and 15 minutes of wifi access to compensate for multiple delays -Cheap! -I was rescheduled to this flight after my previous flight was delayed and prevented me from taking my original flight back, but I was moved up to boarding zone 3 in return"
Cons: "-Significant delay prevented me from checking in to my room, which was highly inconvenient. Fortunately I had a friend who was willing to have me, but if not (and because the nearby hotels are filled up due to the beginning of freshman orientation at my college), I would have had nowhere to stay after 13+ hours of flying and exhaustion. This alone significantly hurt the experience."
Pros: "Everything excep boarding on return flight."
Cons: "Delay on return & boarding was really slow! Not sure if it was the computers or attendants."
Cons: "It was cancelled."
Cons: "Absolute joke of an airline with zero customer service. I would never travel with them again and would recommend anyone else not too."
Pros: "I liked waiting to fly until weather was good."
Cons: "I disliked the long delay, no time for the drink cart."
Pros: "I liked that they were quick and nice service."
Cons: "No games for entertainment."
Pros: "This was the smoothest flight I've ever had. Great pilot."
Cons: "It was a bit delayed."
Pros: "It left ontime and got me to where I needed to be."
Cons: "Pretzels are gross and dry. Jet Blue has much better snack choices. Overheard bins were really small on this small aircraft."
Pros: "For a small aircraft like that, it was really comfortable."
Cons: "No cookie."
Pros: "It was a short flight but smooth and on time."
Cons: "Crew stopped severing prematurely. He said we were about to land and failed to serve my row and the one behind me. In the end we still had 30 minutes before we started the initial descent. When the person behind me spoke to him about it the steward was rude to him."
Cons: "The woman at ticket counter was rude and not helpful"
Pros: "It was a pleasant experience , the whole travel"
Cons: "first flight cancelled, second flight delayed so impossible to get the connection. Nobody called me about it, I had to go to ask."
Pros: "Love Air Canada"
Pros: "Great flight, entertainment system, flight staff made me feel at home"
Pros: "I enjoy flying and being in the air at high altitude in any air line. Away from everyone else and with a new family who are flying with me."
Cons: "The charge per bag is ridiculous. It should be included as part of fare paid. Understood another bag charge as a separate fee."
Cons: "The flight was late"
Pros: "short flight with a good seat. fast baggage service"
