Cons: "During check-in, I observed inconsistent application of rules with respect to hand luggage. My carry-on and laptop bag combined were 12 kgs and was told that I had to pay excess baggage fees. While, there were quite a few people on the plane whose hand luggage was clearly above 12 kgs."
Pros: "Patricia (cabin crew member) was particularly nice to us, and encouraged us to move to a row of empty seats so we could lie down and sleep for the second leg of our 24-hour flight. Air ventilation on this plane is excellent. Food was good. my low-lactose meal found me even after I had moved seats. overall excellent flight."
Pros: "They are the best"
Pros: "Same as above"
Cons: "Same as above"
Pros: "Crew was excellent. Very nice and helpful."
Cons: "Food was terrible. Need a variety. Curry is not for everyone."
Pros: "crew was lovely and plane was very new"
Cons: "food quality is not very good: sometimes it was hard to see what it actually was and it tasted like that too. headrest in the new plane is not comfortable at all as it is rigid and can only be moved up and down."
Pros: "The plane had everything I could want."
Cons: "Unfortunately, the plane was late, prompting me to miss my connecting flight. These things happen, I understand, but most upsetting was the fact that Qatar Airways provided very little information to those of us missing our flights. While on the plane, when those of us with short layovers mentioned that we may be late, we were told "you'll be fine - they hold the planes for a bit." When we deboarded the plane from New York, we ere wrangled into groups depending on our destinations. Many of us assumed that we were going to be taken to our next flights as we had been told they would be waiting for us. The airline rep in charge of my group refused to tell us any information, however, only admitting after we got confrontational with her that we had missed our flights. She then offered no information about what would happen to us, telling us we'd find out when we got to the rebooking counter. Very unprofessional. I was told that I would have to wait for another 24 hours for the next flight, necessitating that I would spend the night in Qatar. I was put up in a hotel that was decent, but again that offered very little in terms of customer service. We were given an $80 meal allowance, but despite me not using it, I was nickeled and dimed in other aspects to where I ended up paying $20 to help reschedule a flight that I had missed in my destination country. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and mostly due to poor communication and very cold, almost robotic interactions with the QA staff on the ground in Doha."
Pros: "Punctual, taxied in time, generally food was good, landed twenty before time. There was head wind otherwise it would have landed earlier. Additional toilet may be considered. Thank"
Cons: "Additional toilet may be considered"
Pros: "Flight was comfortable. Flat bed in business. Crew as such nothing great."
Cons: "Transit 9 hours without hotel"
Pros: "Plane was clean and modern. Staff was very courteous. An overall pleasant flight."
Pros: "On time flights, orderly boarding, plenty of room for carry on luggage, no overcrowding, connection through Doha airport was nice as it is not crowded and has plenty of shopping options."
Cons: "Too many crying babies on board, food was just okay, crew were also just okay, entertainment system didn’t always work, cut out well before landing and took forever to reset."
Pros: "Great Staff"
Cons: "Asian Vegetarian meals needs some improvement. Lack of Africans as part of the crew."
Cons: "I’m a 6’3” in shape man. I selected the bulkhead seats for extra leg room. Great crew, but my shoulders stuck past the seat edge 3” on both sides. Qatar should revise their claim of most room in cabin - this 12 hour flight was one of the roughest I’ve had in a long time comfort wise."
Pros: "Every aspect of flight was wonderful, though I’m sure that fly"
Pros: "The cabin crew, the cabin crew, the cabin crew. Enough said. They are thoroughly trained and exhibited unparalleled professionalism"
Cons: "Ground/baggage handling in ATL. Bags took 40-50 minutes to show up on carousel. The ground staff at ATL dropped the ball when everything else was going so smoothly"
Cons: "Great staffs and food service."
Cons: "The online check in system was down so we all had to line up to check in."
Cons: "I planned a wonderful vacation for my birthday only to face a horrible experience. Not only was the flight uncomfortable, but my television did not work. There was a huge box underneath the seat in front of me which prevented me from stretching my legs outward. The television was on but the screen itself wasn't operating. I reached for the remote located in the armrest only to find the entire piece missing. Only the base was there. I asked the flight attendents three times if I can move to an empty seat and they said "give me a moment". The moment never came. I really expected more from this airline."
Cons: "Food is not fresh, very uncomfortable seats and very little leg room."
Pros: "Being able to ear what you want and when you want it made my flight so much more enjoyable. You can ask for anything on the menu and the flight attendants are so attentive."
Cons: "Boarding in Qatar was a bit disorganised."
Cons: "Entertainment - screens are not user friendly and bad visibility in day light"
Cons: "No consistency with hand luggage. My companions and I were held to strict weight limits. Others were getting on with three and four bags."
Pros: "Stewardesses were more helpful on this flight than we had experienced on the previous flights. However their resources were limited. landed safely."
Cons: "Food on the four different flights (from DFW to Doha on to Cape Town and then from Johannesburg to Doha on to DWF) was not good at all. Timing of meals, food all below expected. One flight attendant trying to serve both meal and drink to each person took a lot of time. Snacks offerings were almost non-existent. Those of us traveling on three connecting flights with no time to purchase food nor water had a rough time of it. Would not fly Qatar nor connect in Doha again unless absolutely necessary."
Pros: "Generally ok but not as good as other Middle East carriers"
Cons: "The leg room on this flight felt less generous than other carrier and the food was poor almost inedible. The aircraft (777) seemed much noiser than other aircraft I have flown on and the noise from the toilet flush could be heard 10 rows away"
Pros: "I liked that it was empty and I could lie down."
Pros: "Qatar is not glitzy. Better than that, it was straightforward and relaxed and comfortable. Crew was pleasant and helpful."
Pros: "The boarding process was simple, food was ok."
Cons: "What a terrible flight. There was absolutely no leg room. I'm 180cm but I imagine Qatar airlines have taller passengers. I understand they are trying to squeeze as much money out of their flights as possible but it was to the point of such severe discomfort that my right knee still hurts half a week later. The reason that it hurts so much is that there was a post through the right half of the leg room under my seat, which was already super limited to begin with. DO NOT GET A WINDOW SEAT, WHATEVER YOU DO. It was a 7 hour flight and I was SO MUCH PAIN. Horrific. The flight staff was rude. I will never fly Qatar again under ANY circumstances. I would rather travel months by boat, or even walk for years on end then go through that 7 hour experience. Qatar's cheapness lost them a customer!"
Pros: "Food was good"
Cons: "The crew did not respond to call lights. No Wi-Fi on such a long flight."
Pros: "Movie selection was good."
Cons: "Everything else. Boarding was chaos, Ground crew should show authority while boarding passengers."
Pros: "The staff were welcoming and friendly. Their customer care is second to none. The food is excellent and i ate throughout my flight."
Cons: "The comfort was a bit below my expectations. Sitting on the seats along the isle was uncomfortable as they are closely placed. There is no enough room to move and to lean sideways when one wants to sleep. My tv was not working. The touch screen was not responding. However the friendly flight attendants shifted me to a vacant seat where the tv was working. The movie selection was limited. There were no documentaries about wildlife. Sport was also missing. We also need some news channels like Aljazeera, CNN & BBC so that we keep updated on issues happening throughout the world. This is very important especially to people like me who traveled long distances from South Africa to Los Angeles USA."
Cons: "I am hard of hearing. It would be appreciated it you would offer more movies with English subtitles."
